My favorite place to go to in the city. Food was great and surprisingly reasonably priced for the area. Pet friendly, great service, great atmosphere and the viewssss 🤤🤤🤤🤤... 10/10 love love love. Can't wait to come back. Can't beat a dinner on the water.

Dinner for 1, and it was exactly what I needed my last night in Chicago. Sarah was spot on with service, if I lived here I’d be coming back tomorrow but tonight is my last night!

Mariuz’s is phenomenal 10/10. I would’ve waked out after the service i received.We ran into a Problem. However, he quickly greeted himself and came with solutions. I would highly recommend his services and presence! Thank you Mariuz 💓

So much fun! We went here for a few drinks while hanging out at the beach and had a great time! Our bartender Melissa was awesome! Super friendly and such a cool girl! She gave us a lot of recommendations on what to do while we were in town! Really appreciate all of her rad suggestions! We’re going to go visit her again before we leave!!;) Thanks again girl!! <3

Great job experience. Kids loved their burger and fries. Wife and I had watermelon salad / burrata salad with steak. So good ! Tony our server was awesome as well. Recommended. Didn't feel like we were in Chicago!!

Carlos and Dillon were amazing bartenders! We appreciate their quick fast and friendly service, they took care of me and my friends! We were there for the air and water show. We had unlimited food and drinks for $100! We definitely got our moneys worth! We had such a good time we are definitely coming back! If you are looking for a place that feels like a vacation with music, drinks, dancing and good vibes this is a fun spot!

Met the owner rose and she is the sweetest woman ever. Wouldn’t have affected my rating in this place as it absolutely carries with a vibe and quality of food and service. Met her and fell in love with this place. The attention to detail with everything just makes the place the way it is. They took an old friend and made it family.

I didn’t order food just drinks - my frozen margarita hit the spot on a very humid / hot day. However the pizza does look good so I’ll come back to try it lol! ✨😊🍸 I went for an event and it was a lot of fun - which was in a separate area.

Nice place for sit & eat or drink right on the beach of Michigan lake. Awesome views, seagulls, fantastic atmosphere 🌟🌟🌟 I like Shrimps tacos 🌮 and Shrimps Ceviche 😋😋😋 All drinks are in plastic glasses because it’s a beach area. Dirty, awful restrooms. In general the place could be cleaner and better maintained.

An outdoor restaurant on Oak Street beach is a great thing alone. I've been here a couple of times. On this occasion I had Blackened Shrimp Tacos and a Paloma. The tacos were very good, but really should have included a better "side" than some tortilla chips. The Paloma was not really a Paloma but it was a good grapefruit juice based drink. Price are predictably steep given the seasonal location. Weirdly, they do not offer any desserts. Not sure why they wouldn't want to offer some options for their customers. I got a nice surprise that the Blue Angel's started practicing in advance of the Air & Water Show.

I tried the lamb burger was different. My friend got the chicken sandwich. The menu is concise no dessert menu. I like the beach view though.

A great outlet spot to chill. A little on the higher side with drinks, but the atmosphere is excellent.

Nice place on the Oak Street Beach to sit and enjoy the breeze on the waterfront. Hard to find the entrance - it is the white picket fence on the street side. Stopped for a drink while walking on the Lakefront Trail. Was going to get an frozen drink but changed our mind. Bartender had a good sense of humor, the beer was not cold & when I asked for an iced glass, he gave me a glass of ice :) Clean bathrooms. Only 3 stars because the only water they offer is bottled water for $5. #Recommended #VickieTravelz

Pizza was excellent if you like fire roasted pizza. A little bit undercooked, but that’s how I like it. The Greek salad was good. Just be careful. There are actual pets and salad carne Asada fries were huge and great. The drinks were really good too, but seemed a little on the expensive side. Frozen margaritas. Listen it’s beach food. What do you expect. The Best beach food, not fine dining. But convenient, service is good. And we got a nice table in the Shade

The location is absolutely beautiful! We were seated quickly - had time to check out the menu - then ordered some drinks. Sabastian was our waiter. He was funny and kind and gave us great service. The first drink I ordered I was not a fan of- I use to bartend so I’m aware of what a good drink taste like. I was not going to say anything about the drink but the waiter asked me how I liked it so I told him it was not good. He was apologetic and brought me out a shot of tequila to make up for it. The next drink I ordered was very good. Food was not bad either. We shared the shrimp tacos and an appetizer. All in all- I’d return because of the atmosphere and food but I would probably not order a mixed drink from the bar.

only rating 3 stars for the view. service at the bar was subpar, borderline rude. when I asked for a martini, which is a pretty standard drink for a bar, i was told “this is not a martini bar”. lol. bartender seemed overall annoyed with any request. probably wouldn’t return to the bar but the beach was beautiful.

The Parmesean wings are good . The food is pricey but goid. The atmosphere is great!! You can't beat being off the lakefront..

Not great. Not bad. But… nice little retreat in the beach. Prosecco tasted funky but was drinkable. Burger was ginormous and just ok. But I’ll def give another try on a nice warm day.

Hot mess express. Though there’s no other options in the immediate area so you just go with it…. Sign posted / google / and website said opens at 11. Us and 10 other people are there waiting for the minute. Staff said they would be open at 11:15 (ok sure … they maybe are just behind - it’s a small seasonal business!) 10 min go by they say you have to now go through side entrance which had all of us walk between 2 Port-a-potties to walk into the bar. Host was friendly, but when asked if we had Reservation we said no so did all the other 10 people … we were asked to cram into 5 tall bar tops where all the stools touched cause how crowded it was while 20 plus tables remained open. We were there for over an hour and only 1 table was sat while every table was vacant. The table had no QR code or physical menu… we went up the bar , no menu and all 3 card readers stopped working… 2 shots were $1 more expensive than 2 drinks ? Idk what happened there.

Decent spot right at the water with a sandy area for a bit of a dance party but seriously overpriced drinks and somewhat tough to find parking if you’re not familiar with the area at all… 😖

This restaurant has huge potential but because of the lack of food and the quality of service it’s not that great. The location is so nice. The restaurant is right on the beach and enclosed with a fence. You can sit within about 15 feet from the lake. There is an area where you can hide from the sun or if you like the other side you can get full sun. When we went it was a few days from closing and the bartender said she would not open anything new. I asked for a few different “tropical / beach” drinks and she said she didn’t have the stuff (but there was everything you could think of behind her). So I ended up having to order whiskey straight - not what I wanted for a brunch. The menu showed lots of nice items but again because they said they were closing later that week they didn’t have ANY food. There was a hot dog cart with chips there instead. So we had a hot dog with Doritos for brunch. This restaurant should really be open for a longer season. The day was perfect when we went and all they could mention was that they were closing soon. It would make a great place to go to in spring, summer, and fall if some minor changes were made.

Drinks and service were great, but the food was a little disappointing for how much it was. The caprese salad did not come with balsamic vinegar, and the fish and chips tasted undercooked so our server had it sent back into the kitchen and prepared a new one for us which was greatly appreciated but it still tasted a bit off AND THEY CHARGE SO MUCH FOR TAP WATER? …You’re really just coming here for the views of Lake Michigan!!

25 min and $22 for a Neapolitan pizza that is not a Neapolitan pizza (no flavor). Also pretty small. Just go check any good Neapolitan place in Chicago (Spacca, Eataly…). If you can’t do it, just don’t. Add a mandatory 20% tip for a quasi inexistant service (you can order on your phone). Tip should not be based on the food price, it should be flat depending on how much time you spent and how much service you got. And it should not be mandatory, do not normalize this practice. But, you have a very good view of the water which is the only good point of this place. Avoid the place if you can ! (At least for now).

Food was mid. Asked for several items at times and nothing came, the view n such is obviously why a lot of us want in , but food was priced higher than it should for its quality , Server …..Girl with a stank face & attitude…..point blank , if you don’t want to work find another job , seriously the service was really what made me not like this place.

Today was the first time visiting this place and I came in with a couple friends. The service experience was very unprofessional by the server. the server had very little interaction with me and was very unprofessional. He acted very flirty toward both of my friends which led me to feel uncomfortable as they are very young and look it to! Which he doesn’t seem to ask for age. Then it took an over an hour to get our food after we ordered and it was NOT busy during the time we were there. Other tables were already served and taken care of before us even when they came after us. The server got the food out to a big group as a new table within MINUTES of them ordering it. We waited over AN HOUR. absolutely not okay. Then the beach burger was absolutely too greasy and we don’t mind some grease on a good burger but that was not even as good as we thought. We were not satisfied. I didn’t reorder because I knew if I would have reordered, it would have possibly been another super long wait. Not coming back here again.

This place has a great location but you’re really just paying for the experience. Drinks are not wow and expensive. They charged a 20% extra for gratuity even tho we didn’t have any servers at our table and we had to go get our own drinks at the bar. They don’t even offer any water which is kind of annoying. I am definitely not coming back because for the price I paid am sure I willl have a better experience and service somewhere else.

The view was nice, but the service left much to be desired. We had a reserved table for a birthday party and waited about an hour for our food, which was served in takeout boxes without any silverware—despite having a bottle of vodka and champagne on the table. To make things worse, staff kept clearing the table and even took our glasses with drinks without asking if we were finished.

I ordered a mango smoothie. Not sure that it can be classified as a smoothie it was just flavored syrup mix with ice. Service was subpar; the person who served me didn’t say one word to me during the transaction. The only thing this place has going for it is it’s location right on Lake Michigan.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! POORLY TRAINED STAFF. DON’T DO IT !!! Waited an HOUR for food and just ended up leaving. The order still wasn’t ready, after a hour. Waiter took our order and never came to check on us. I had to ask him, how long the food would take. Great View of the lake, not worth the hassle, at all.

Never use your credit card here, I swear the owner is editing the credit card charges for customers before finalizing them. I paid something on the invoice shown on the tablet, and I got charged few $$ extra on every transaction posted ... which usually happens after few days of you remembering it. To top it off it makes perfect sense to why bartender never asked anyone to sign the receipt, nor voluntarily showed the total price for the drinks you buy. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

Ordered the Whispers at Oak burger; I cut my burger in half took 1 bite. I went to dip in sauce for the 2nd bite and I noticed something on my bun. It was mold; I immediately stopped eating and called for my server. When I pointed It out she explained that It was probably butter from the grill. (See photos) Definitely not butter a manager never came when we asked for the check for my husbands food/drink. The burger was still on ticket; she said a manager had to take It off. She went to the back area and returned with the burger off our ticket. I’ve worked in Food Management for years 9 years of being a licensed food manager and can’t believe no one came to see our table.

This place was horrible. The lady working there was just kissing up to the guy that was doing actual work and didn’t come to take other people’s order while they were in line waiting. Now onto the drinks. The sign says it is 16 oz and the vanilla frappe was $9. After we got the drink we noticed how small it was and we asked the guy and he rolled his eyes and said yes it’s 16 oz even though it was 8 oz max. The taste was also bland, watered down and horrible in general. Also the picture shows whipped cream on top and there wasn’t any on my drink. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU’RE VISITING.

Went to Whispers. Super excited. $45 for 2 drinks. And sat on sectional furniture. Ended up with completely wet butt. Went to manager she said “oh that’s sexy”. Umm a completely wet butt after trying to relax and have a drink. Not cute. I still have cold wet butt. Disappointing

Below mid food, small portion size, below average service, way overpriced, dog running around, required 20% gratuity. For 4 people, total bill was $130. Rip off. Do yourself a favor and walk down the beach to Caffe Olivia for a much better all around experience.

Such a beautiful location. Sadly the staff is incredibly mean and rude. One staff member stated “as much as I want you to leave my property, you can’t leave with that drink” after we were told by another staff member would could buy a drink and then bring it to the beach. This place has the opportunity to be amazing and wonderful for tourists and those from Chicago but unfortunately the staff does not want to respect or be kind to customers. I do not recommend trying this place, try another restaurant or bar along the lake, you will be treated better.

Extremely rude staff. I asked to sit beach front, the hostess told our family that those were for reservations only. I over heard the hostess ask a couple how many where in their party, She said two. She sat them down beach front, I asked the couple if they had a reservation, they said no. The waitress told me they were out of what we wanted for our appetizers, but the table behind us ordered the exact same thing after. It is unfortunate that we went through this. Finally, we just said enough, canceled our lunch orders.
