I have patronized this wonderful little taco stand since the mid 90s. I've grown to know the staff and watch their children grow up. It's my go to place for food on the go. The veggie especial burrito has long been a favorite. Once known as Tacos de Acapulco, it's still the same place!

The nachos consisted of 2 choices of meat...I chose the Puerco Colorado (rich and flavorful and full of sauce) and chicken over the chips, then came the lettuce, tomato, onions, sour cream, avocado, and jalapeños. It weighs well over 3lbs, and can't be eaten in 1 sitting. The tacos were basic chicken, lettuce, tomato, and a red sauce in a crunchy shell...but the chicken is anything but basic. Shredded perfectly, and seasoned just right with a hint of spice to warm the tongue. Folks, you simply can't go wrong with anything on this menu. It's hard to stay in business for so long without perfecting your craft...and they have!! This is just 1 reason I've been frequenting this establishment for SO LONG. 1 small notice...NO radishes, to which I'm thankful. Just try this place once, order your favorite dish, and see for yourself. Tacos Mari ranks in the top 5-10% in town. Now you know.

This place is totally awesome in the past I've actually driven like an hour just to go to this place they're open super late The atmosphere is always friendly The food is a little on the pricey side but that's kind of how things are nowadays.

It food. It's edible. It's enough to quench the stomach rumbles. However, they don't use gloves and they can get pretty expensive for just one burrito.

Comfort food all the way. If you're looking for a good and fairly authentic Mexican food it's a good place to go. They're well-loved in Chico, probably one of the most popular Taco stops; and they're always busy. It seems that they probably never closed down to redo their shop in anyway since they opened. I gave them four stars their food is very much loved. I wouldn't say it fresh healthy but certainly like I said great Mexican comfort food. If I can give two ratings I'd give them 3 because they look so dirty. They're back of the house might be clean, but it looks like they're so busy all the time cooking that they might not have time to be clean. They really are this popular. It just grosses me out everything looks grimy. Since they're part of the hospitality industry it seems it would be good once in awhile to update the place and keep it looking fresh so customers feel confident in the food being safe.

Burrito is awesome, awesome, awesome. But chips are stale and choice of beverages limited. In fact my soda of choice tasted exactly like fresh tap water. But the burrito was excellent!! The new price increase is unfortunate and in my opinion makes one of my favorite burrito grossly over priced. I will miss you Tacos Mary.

Hands down some of the best Mexican food in Chico. Excellent portions and fresh product. High prices with no cheap options. The Student Discount is a joke. They tried charging me for a (separate) large drink when I asked for a drink upgrade.

If you want mexican food late night this is the place to go. I have enjoyed their food for many years. Burrito con chips is my go to here

Poor service: If you order a burrito, they give you foil paper with all the ingredients wrap (means they don't know how to wrap a burrito). Take a long time to have your order and always missing items. Sorry for the students' orders. After party maybe they don't know what you get.

I typically get the nachos supreme from here and they are always really good; I haven't had any like them from any other place in town. However, they are lacking in customer service. I was placed on hold because the woman who worked there had other customers to tend to (completely understandable). I was hung up on twice after waiting for about 5 minutes the first time and shortly after the second. I called a third time and after finally taking my order, I wanted to make sure she had my order correct, where she grew frustrated and said that she had other customers. If I'm not mistaken, I am also a customer. Perhaps they should hire more people if they are that busy.

Ordered a large burrito, was barely larger than my wife's small burrito. the burrito was 90 percent rice and all I got was rice most the way through,all the meat onion cheese and sour cream was in one end of the burrito. Definitely not worth the 18.50 I paid for it.

I was there well before their stated closing time. They were closing early. They were pleasant enough, but they had cut down their menu significantly, to the point where these was nothing healthy on the menu that I could eat, and they were washing the floor with very strongly scented cleaner such that I needed to leave immediately.

Placed an order by phone and the lady told me it would be a 20 minute wait but when I arrived 30 mins later they told me it's made when you come in.. Then why would you not tell me that on the phone? I don't want to wait 20 minutes surrounded by drunk college students. I placed an order through phone to avoid this. I even called yesterday to place an order and the lady said if I could hold a bit but kept taking orders even though they told us they would help us soon. Even after we heard her not taking anymore orders she didn't attend us, the phone was left on the line for the rest of the night because we tried calling two times after this. I don't know.. the food is okay but not the best to have service like this.

Campechana, choice of 3 meats, which I found enticing at first. Requested Carne Asada, Pollo verde, Pork colorado, cost me $16 as I requested a $2 increase in size. Received a bulky one, granted, but very mediocre in ingredients, except for beans and rice. Carne Asada, Chicken and Pork: where did you go? To add insult to injury 4 chunks of fat. Why didn't you give that one to your cousin? Cheap and bulky, overpowered with sauces, and frankly, a serious let down. The many praises took me for a ride to suckerville, and Mary? You are cold blooded when you let something like what I received out of the shop. 1.5 Stars.

Ordered a Cali Burrito and I got a BEAN Burrito with little bits of fries, beef, and tons of cheese. Worst Cali burrito I’ve ever had and it was $15.14! The hot sauce the offer is very watery as well. Never coming here again. Not worth it yall~

I was with others when dining. This food is not tasty to me. Kind of bland, salsa had no kick in general & not very attractive to look at. You may enjoy it, you may not. Go ahead and try it just for your own palate. I did not enjoy this place.

I was charged 18.25 for a regular burrito. It was about 10:30pm on Friday. I know this place get a lot of foot traffic from drunk students but 18.25 for a burrito with no flavor seem excessive. But If you’re drunk opt for Taco Bell. I’m not drunk, I’m just a normal person coming from the gym looking for a quick bite. Wouldn’t recommend based on prices and food definitely not being worth almost 20 dollars for a regular burrito. No guacamole or anything in it. Wild.

As Mexican my self this is Garbage food Not authentic the Consome is pure oil not drinkable never seen that in my life. They charge you for extra salsa and even napkins save you’re self time and money and just go to Taco Bell or Burger King.
