This was our second visit at Leo's Kitchen in Otay Ranch on 6/10/24. We were greeted by a friendly waitress right away, the service is always nice, and with a clean and pleasant environment. We ordered the calamari which was fresh, hot, and crispy the way we like. We also each ordered some of their specialty rolls and they were very delicious and satisfying, as well as some flavorful Yuki Nigori Mango Sake to wash it all down! We love this place, anytime we crave sushi, this is the spot!
My wife and I wanted to have sushi for late lunch recently and remembered that Leo's Kitchen was just under 2 miles from our home. My wife and I were promptly seated and decided to order a few rolls and some drinks. our food came out quickly and must say it was very tasty and fresh. Service was excellent. Prices were under what we expected to pay at other similar restaurants. We will definitely come back to Leo's Kitchen in the future. Nice to have a sushi place in our neighborhood.
i love there food but i cannot tolerate the spicyness. fresh salad, yummy rainbow sushi and friendly staff. 4.5 star
Haven't been here in over a year because I thought it was overpriced last time I was here. BUT came in because of the happy hour sign to see what was new. Surprised to find better prices good food and great service thank you and I will definitely be coming back more often Pictured is the happy hour spicy California roll, great but the Chula vista roll is next.
Happy hour deals are pretty good, and love the vegan menu options!! The vegan crunchy roll is so good
I ordered the #8 sushi platter for my daughter’s grad party last week, for something a little new & different than what I would normally do. It was a total HIT!! Beautiful presentation & so delicious! I was able to customize the sushi rolls on the platter & it came with plenty of chopsticks & condiments. I totally recommend this for your next party or get together!!
Fresh and tasty! We purchased the mini sushi platter (tiger roll, California Dreaming, Chula Vista Roll and lemon cilantro roll) all were delicious and well packaged.
Really good menu and the sushi roll presentation INCREDIBLE. We got a promo of 4 rolls and was perfect for 2 people! Good choice for a great sushi!
Nice atmosphere, the place was clean. The sushi was big and good. The house sake was decent, which is good for house sake. I'd go again
This place is highly underrated. Great music. Amazing quality good. Good prices. They are not the fastest, but it's far beyond the quality of the sushi. My favorite spot in SD.
Food is delicious! Ordered the flaming hot burrito 🤤. Sooo good! It has salmon and imitation crab.

Leo’s is soooo good. We had them cater our wedding. We didn’t have a single piece left over. We got all vegan sushi and our guests loved it. Leo answered most of my questions promptly and helped ensure everything went smoothly. He wasn’t sure if some of the rolls were gluten free but luckily he could guarantee that a couple of them were. As a regular customer, I knew I could count on them—and they didn’t disappoint!
We went in for a happy hour lunch, and food was great, prices were within reason, and service was awesome! Highly recommend!
I LOVE this sushi spot! The moment you take a bite, you can tell they only use the freshest ingredients. The flavors are incredible, and you can taste the quality. Their menu is super diverse, with vegan options that are so good, even non-vegans will love them! There's something for everyone here. Happy hour is a must-try - their menu is amazing, and the prices are unbeatable! Personally, I'm hooked on the Chula Vista roll, but honestly, everything I've tried has been top-notch. The chefs here are talented, and it shows in every dish. They also have by request the boat platter that fits different rolls which is really cool! If you're a sushi lover like me, or just looking something new, this place is a must-visit! I Highly recommend Leos Kitchen!

Leo’s Kitchen has really good sushi! The food came out quickly, was fresh, and nicely presented. Service was fast and efficient, which made the experience even better. My favorite was definitely the stuffed jalapeños full of flavor and a must try. Overall, everything we ordered looked and tasted great. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is there’s still a little room to elevate the overall dining experience, but I’d definitely come back for the sushi and those jalapeños!
Ordered take out from Leo’s Kitchen and we were grateful the food didn’t disappoint. The items we ordered were: Hot Cheeto roll: spicy crab, cucumber, avocado, covered in hot Cheeto crumbs, spicy mayo, siracha dots - the roll tasted good, but the hot cheeto crumb didn’t really add spiciness or enhance the flavor of the roll. SD Roll: cream cheese, avocado, salmon, tempura fried, topped with jalapeño, spicy mayo, siracha dot and eel sauce - we loved the creaminess and how each flavor complimented the other. Tiger roll: cucumber, avocado, crab, shrimp tempura topped with avocado, eel sauce, spicy mayo and sesame seeds - something fried, something sweet and something spicy. What more do you need? OMG roll: cucumber, avocado, crab, shrimp tempura, topped with spicy crab, jalapeño, eel sauce and sesame seeds - simple but still tasty. Kids teriyaki bowl - the teriyaki sauce was balanced, the chicken cooked well and the veggies fresh. We paid roughly $88.60 (with tip). Leo’s Kitchen deserves a return visit and next time, we will dine in, especially since staff during pick up was helpful and friendly

$27.18 gets you a pint-sized “build your own poke bowl” I included a photo of the poke, receipt, and my medium sized hand as a ripoff reference, poke was mediocre at best
Cons: - small portion with even smaller than expected salmon considering the amount I paid (14 dollars) - they made a mistake in my order. I said salad, they put rice. Pros: Lemon and cilantro added extra freshness and taste. I did not find that in other local poke bowls

Food was good, prices were reasonable as long as you take advantage of the happy hour pricing. Took an exceedingly long time to have our order taken and we're never looked at by the waitress once after the food arrived. I would highly recommend only going during slow times or ordering online for take out.

How are you a Ramen place and don't have Ramen??? The food was not fresh. I normally don't write reviews but this place was so bad I feel compelled to let people know. The waitress was sweet and that was the places only positive thing.

Went here yesterday for my birthday. Waitress acted as if she didn’t even want to be there and acted like it was a chore to serve my older boyfriend and I. Did not smile at us once. The only time I saw her smile was when she was exchanging judgmental glances with the chefs in front of my boyfriend and I. I’ve never felt more unwelcome and judged at a restaurant before. The atmosphere was void of life. We had to ask for soy sauce which is strange because that’s never happened at any sushi restaurant I’ve been to in the past. Spicy Tuna Roll was bitter, but Hot Cheeto Roll was good. Edamame was alright, but I’ve had it much better at other locations. Not worth it and I will never go back.
