Ed's Mudville Grill

First time there after driving by for years. What a nice surprise. A full bar with a great selection of beer on tap and they make a great old fashioned. The food was great. I had a chili burger and Agnes had a grilled vegi quesadilla.

I love going to Ed's, it always has a classy sports bar restaurant vibe to it, and it will again. I have never had a bad meal there, they have a good selection of just about everything, I of course enjoy their multiple burgers. The zucchini spears are one of my favorite, huge amount, perfectly battering crispy and seasoned, with a great homemade ranch. The wait staff has always been kind and accommodating, even when they're busy. Also their price for the amount of food you get is pretty spot on, I can almost never finish a whole meal but that just means I have something great for later. I've been going here for years, and I'm going again tomorrow for my birthday.

Went and met up with friends and even though there were quite a few of us and a baby, staff was amazing and the food was great.

Pub grub with a local feel. Plenty of seating inside and out most days. Lots of sports on the TVs, nightly dinner specials too! Try the cioppino, avoid the marsala. Good tap list, try the Cajun fries (secret menu)

I try to eat here when I visit my sister in Clayton. Nice atmosphere and good service. Everything on the menu is good. I've had the brisket tacos and the hamburger both delicious. Just a nice sports bar to grab a bite!!

Delightful bar and grill and sports bar rolled together. Very attentive staff. Zucchini appetizers are amazing. Burgers and sliders are cooked to order, no issues. Reuben sandwich is also delicious. Chicken and tortilla soup is hot and creamy, but not heavy on the palate. Been coming steadily, and will continue. Craft beers aplenty.

It's Ed's! I love this downtown bar. Great sports atmosphere. The food is always made so fresh and it's delicious! Cheer's of the west coast LoL I love this place. Fried zucchini sticks to die for. Seafood sandwich. YUM! It's all good!

Food was tasty and large portions, came quick and was fresh. Really enjoyed the fried zucchini sticks as well as their clam chowder. My partner really enjoyed his prime rib French dip. Our server was great and very friendly. Great casual restaurant for good food in Clayton.

We stopped by EMG after enjoying some recreation time in the area. We were seated promptly. Our server was Alli and she took great care of us! Alli made some accommodations to our orders which we appreciated. The food was served quickly and was very good. There was great team work with the staff.

Good service, the wait staff are on point and ready to take care of whatever questions or needs you have. The bar is awesome. Everyone who works the bar are attentive and ready to help. Awesome selection of beer, wine and spirits. Everyone there makes it feel like you're walking into a place you've been to a thousand times. nice staff, and solid food

I've been coming here ever since we moved to the Clayton/Concord area and I love it. The service is always excellent as well as the food. It is a bit pricey, but so is everything these day's and this place is actually worth it. They have some good BBQ and a nice variety of beers on tap. My favorite is the brisket tacos. Definitely worth a visit if haven't been

Pretty standard bar/grill. The food was good, but not spectacular. I paid over $3 to upgrade my fries to cheese fries, but all they did was sprinkle some cheese on top. I thought for that price I would get lots of cheese sauce. The burger was supposed to be cajun seasoned but I didn't really taste any seasoning. The service was friendly though and they had both indoor and outdoor seating.

Nice little place in Downtown Clayton. The service was fairly quick and the good was good. While I did enjoy it, my Kobe burger wasn't anything special. I guess that's because I had high expectations for it. However, I did have a bite of their regular burger and was pleased with it. So next time, I will try something else to give this place another shot at 5 stars. I loved that you can bring your dogs and they have buckets of water for them. My dog loved being able to come with us :)

Nice local restaurant with good turkey burger and side salad. Friendly Waitress and a local gem. Onion soup is very good too. Half order chicjen spaghetti great for light lunch. A bit loud when the games,are on!

We had the fish and chips meal. The fish was like van de camps and on the soggy side. The fries were cold and the salad dressing was bitter. It was loud and busy. Wish we would have asked what meals people usually loved. For $20 a meal each we won’t be back.

Service was good, tacos were okay, needed a little kick of sorts but had flavor.

After reading the many positive reviews, I was let down with the burger I ordered. They have a nice listing of craft beers which I liked. I did let my server know that I wasn't very thrilled with my food and he quickly wanted to know if I wanted something else, so that was good. I finished my beer and enjoyed their patio.

The environment is great and service is good. Food is not good and far overpriced for the quality of food. The menu looks good but the hamburger is like some frozen patty that is burnt (far from medium rare), no taste, very bland, tomato and lettuce were old, they used some sort of thousand island dressing that has way too much mayonnaise. The onion rings were good. They meal for my son was also a frozen hot dog and frozen fries that were heated up. If they meal had been $8 for the hamburger and $4 for my son's meal, I could understand but it was more than double. The beer list is basic for a place saying that they have a variety of craft beers. Not really. Ranch dressing served in tiny little plastic containers which again gives the feel that everything is heated up (nothing fresh).

My wife and I went to Mudville Grill last night with friends. I ordered a Kobe burger and asked that it be cooked medium. When it arrived I cut into it and it was oozing red. I called our waitress over and she agreed that it was rare and not medium. She apologized and said she would have the kitchen remake it. When she brought it back a few minutes later, it was the same burger only now it was extremely well done (I’m wondering if putting meat back on the grill after a customer has handled it violates the Health Code?). I showed it to our waitress again and she again apologized and said she would have the kitchen make me a new burger. I waited longer this time and by now my wife and friends were half way finished with their dinners. A waiter brought me a new burger and this one was also well done. I called the waitress over again and she was extremely apologetic. By this time we only had 20 minutes left before we had to leave for the theater; otherwise I would have sent this burger back too. I ate what I could and left the rest. I later got indigestion from eating overly cooked meat. The restaurant took my meal off of the bill but that doesn’t change the fact that I had a lousy dinner and was unable to enjoy it with my wife and friends. At this point I think either the owner or manager should have come to table and apologized for ruining my dinner. I would give even lower marks except that our waitress was very sweet. But I’m wondering if the kitchen over cooked my burger on purpose? One of my friends also ordered a burger and it was cooked medium without any problems.

Ordered french onion soup, which was super hot, and that's okay. But one minute later our entrees came out. They also ran out of menus.
