Didn’t really know what to expect from a fine dining restaurant inside of a museum, but this hit well for brunch. Everything was excellent and the staff was friendly.

This is located inside the Cleveland Art Museum. It's small and off the radar. I'm so glad we found it! The atmosphere is quiet and romantic, the staff is highly professional, and the food is exceptional! The drinks have an interesting twist on them that I enjoyed. It's just another reason for Cleveland to be celebrated as a great food city.

We visited the newly reopened restaurant and had two wonderful experiences! First, at the bar, they made us a great blackberry mocktail. After the exhibit, we sat and had a lamb burger, which was delicious

Delicious restaurant inside the Cleveland Art Museum! Try it even if you are not visiting the museum

A wonderful meal in a gem of a museum showing that art comes in many forms. Thanks to the gracious staff and the incredibly creative kitchen for a white table cloth experience second to none.

I actually went to the Provenance Cafe and it was really good. If I had known they had such a nice selection, I may have eaten my lunch there.

Loved thd sea bass. So crispy on the outside, tender and moise on the inside. Really nice cafe where you can sit, work, and enjoy hot chocolate.

We sat down for a quick bite before exploring the museum. Great food, drinks, and views. The vibe was polished!

We did not make a reservation for brunch, but fortunately there were some spots available at the bar. The bartender was very knowledgeable and took good care of us despite being pretty busy. For our meal, we had the crab cake sandwich and the classic brunch. The classic brunch was a generous amount of food, perfect if you are very hungry. The crab cake sandwich was exceptional. There were large chunks of crab meat falling off the sandwich with a crunchy apple slaw on top. Although we were not drinking, several of the cocktails looked fantastic. The bloody mary especially. You cannot beat the atmosphere and ambiance of dining at the spectacular Cleveland art museum.

This outstanding restaurant is located inside the Cleveland Art Museum. We always receive prompt and polite service. The chef does a superb job and the dishes are delightful. We don't normally give five stars, but this place has earned them.

If there's a better place for brunch anywhere in the area I don't know if it. The setting is beautiful oh, the food is delicious and there are interesting brunch dishes that won't appear on any other menu. Besides which, you have the whole art museum at your disposal for exploration before and after.

I was a chef and now I'm a self-appointed food critic. I trained to think, read, and write critically. I intend to critique objectively. The ambiance is soothing and a visual pleasure. The picture that is not on the web page... is the best view in the whole place. Granted the place is very small. You can see out the window at a grassy area. The window is large and the view is beautiful. All the tables have a perfect view of it. Of course, it is in an art museum the man made art works are very appealing. I made 2 trips to this well kept secret. You will not be disappointed. The Bibb Caesar is decorative and tasty. Looks good; tastes good; and priced well for upscale dining ($9). I also ordered the Morrocan Lamb. Flavorful and succulent! The lamb was juicy (not greasy). It was tender. The fresh cracked pepper was just enough ($30). The Jack & Coke was just the right balance. It was cold without tasting watered down. Just enough sweet from the Coke. And a smooth caramel Tennesee Whiskey finish. Perfect. It's not the kind of place you want to eat at everyday... unless you have a large bank account. But if you have a special event for two... it is perfect. At least one of people in a couple might appreciate the art in the museum. Finish off the trip at this culinary wonder... and someone will be remembered well for the creative thought. Service prompt, polite, attentive, professional and reliable. I couldn't find a reason to give it less than all 5 stars.

Beautiful Sunday brunch experience. The crab Benedict and poached egg hash was so yum. Nice view and comfortable atmosphere. Grayson is a gem he really made it a lovely time for us.

This restaurant is an absolute delight! Nestled in a beautiful location, it offers a perfect blend of authentic Portuguese cuisine with a fresh, modern twist. Every dish bursts with flavor, made from local or homegrown ingredients that truly shine. The service deserves a special mention—warm, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. A big bravo to the entire team! We’ll definitely be returning.

Excellent service and the food and drinks were also great. Perfect friend night or date night to walk around the museum on Wednesday or Friday evenings and then have some upscale drinks and food after. It's such a joy to have well-crafted properly chilled cocktails. I also really like the "taste the art" rotating menu. all the food we had was exceptional ! our thanks to the chef and staff!

It's an elegant place... Even with their weekend brunch. Very pleased with the service. Very pleased with the food and the atmosphere. Our server Victoria was very professional and knew the menu well. I did not find the price to be out of line, price wise, for restaurant like this. In general the food at the art museum is very good. Coming to the art museum, even if it's for lunch, is a treat.

Enjoyed brunch while visiting the Cleveland Art Museum. Crispy chicken and Biscuit, Colbert - Turkish poached egg dish, and Croquette madame - ham and cheese with fried egg. Absolutely delicious. Great service and incredible food. A great way to top off your experience at this wonderful museum.

Interesting, well-executed dishes that are inventive and delicious without pretention. The servers are friendly and good at what they do. Nice wines are available by the glass. The dining room is small and intimate with terrific views. Absolutely the best restaurant I've visited in Cleveland.

Located within the Cleveland Museum of Art, this is the perfect restaurant for entertaining or enjoying lunch during a visit to the museum. Cuisine is contemporary American fusion food that is not only tasty and flavorful, but also a delight to admire -- the presentation is gorgeous (see attached photos). Service is impeccable and servers are attentive to every detail. The view from the picture windows is impressive. Prices are high as to be expected in a fine dining establishment, but the food and service are of the highest standards. Highly recommended!

I’ve been here several time and always have a great time. The food is lovely, with unique combinations and great wine matches. Brought my cousin here for her birthday and the service was great. After the server discovered it was her birthday gave her a delicious macaroon. I will always be back with friends and family.

Upon entering you are met with a wall of windows overlooking a park and architectural gems in the background. The crisp white table linens lend an air of sophistication. The service was top notch. I ordered the Benedict which was on delicious SWEET POTATO biscuits, topped with tasty shaved ham, 2 of the most perfectly poached eggs, and creamy brown butter Hollandaise. I opted to swap the salad for breakfast potatoes which were crispy and the outside and fluffy inside. Accompanied by a crisp fresh mimosa with a candied orange wheel this outstanding brunch gets a 10 out of 10. Can’t wait to return!

Chicken Pea and Cauliflower Masala w/ rice and greens. Crab Crumby Sushi. Philadelphia Roll w/ salmon. Tart. We ate on a Tuesday afternoon at 1:45pm in March of 2024. I had the Masala. It was very good for a cafeteria style meal. Unfortunately, it was not as warm as I would have liked, yet it tasted great. The sushi was freshly made as we watched it being prepared. The Crab Crumby comes highly recommended. The Philadelphia Roll was standard as would be found most places. The prices were not as high as I expected. The meal and rolls were around $12 each.

I was there for a banquet event so I will not comment on the service but the food was above average. This is their Stuffed Cabbage with Fried Egg and a half glass of Riesling 😉. The fact it inside the Cleveland Museum of Art is a bonus!

Been here a number of times. Food is always good and service is always great. Bar has very capable mixologists. Major exhibition themed menus are fun. Only downside is that operations are limited to museum hours, which means the restaurant frequently closes at 5 pm.

The experience is nice and one of the best Cafe' in a museum I have ever been too. I had the black bean burgers with garlic fries. The food was very good. Definitely better than just a case full of pre packaged food! Would recommend!

The food is pretty good but the cashiers are incredibly slow at the café and they rarely have two of them staffing the counter. Wait times can be brutal. As an update, they have improved their speed at checkout.

Had a wonderful grits and shrimp. Delicious cocktail with proseco and pear, ginger and cinnamon. The chocolate mousse with pear compote was a delight, and I liked the pumpkin cake.

This is an updated review Obviously I've been back. We had a good brunch my brother had the French onion omelette and I had c r o q u e madame. They were both good, the ham was a bit salty. I will tell you the chairs are uncomfortable. I think they're newer. they're not comfortable for a tall person. The staff was accommodating. The atmosphere is I believe what you would expect. 7/27/25 The review of three years ago: Sometimes it's really good, sometime s not Last outing Crab 🦀 sandwich excellent Chick Waffle came with chick part not as ordered, then tried breakfast it was "ok" Tried waffle, too cakey and dry

Had brunch on Sunday morning. A small restaurant with a wonderful view of the museum grounds. The shrimp and grits were ok, but not legendary. There was a fishy taste to the shrimp that was a bit off-putting. The frittata lacked seasoning. It would have been nice if the dishes were complimented with a fruit garnish or served with breakfast breads. Overall, the experience was ok. If they close the gap between price and food quality it would make a difference. Serve fruit and/or breakfast breads with dishes. For the price I want memorable food, service, and atmosphere. Too little for too much $$. Now that I have had the experience I don't need another one.

The ambiance was lovely, but the food left me disappointed. I ordered the Takashi Murakami exhibition-inspired Soy-sauce eggplant and teriyaki chicken bowl, but it was far from authentic Japanese cuisine. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of these two dishes.

The food was amazing and in the absolutely beautiful CMA!!! The service was not great. Long waits between courses including just getting our drinks. Which brings me to the bar tenders. They were terrible, specifically the female bartender. Bringing drinks to the table half full and with the drink sloshed all over the place. Don’t think about sending back a poorly made drink because all the other drinks will be even worse. Overall, disappointing especially for the cost of drinks and food.

Mussels were cold and the broth lacked flavor. Frites were too salty. Bone marrow too fatty. Dessert was good but extremely small portion. Overall, too expensive for the quality. I was there years ago and remember a better experience. Maybe this time was an exception from the norm but I'm weary.

Cafe hours are until 8pm. They stop serving anything HOT at 7pm. But they don't tell you that online. Had a room temp foccacia that tasted like a stale pizza roll. When it's 10 degrees outside, you want hot food. Bummed and was my mom's birthday outing!

This place used to be really nice pre-covid. Now the food at the Cafe is a real let down. The burgers used to be excellent, now they are frozen patties. The Tandor wraps aren't available anymore. Unfortunately the food tastes like the frozen section at Trader Joe's. It's not what it used to be at all, but the prices have definitely stayed high. Douglas Katz used to be the chef there. I don't believe he is there anymore and it shows.

First time to the restaurant the other day. The best part about the restaurant is the ambiance and view. They need to do some serious evaluation on the chef and general oversight. Ordered a Blood Mary - server came back to say they had no more Bloody Mary mix so ordered a Dirty Goose. Bartender put way too much olive juice in the martini. Pretty undrinkable. Ordered a lamb burger, server came back to say that was no longer on the menu so ordered a very uneventful hamburger. also ordered romaine salad with chicken. It was literally coarsely chopped Romaine with dried out chicken and awful croutons. Also ordered roasted chicken with scordalia which was a small amount of dry roasted chicken resting on about 1/3 cup of scordalia spread thinly on the plate and cooked greens($28). Whoever made the scordalia couldn’t possibly have ever tasted real Greek food. This is a really lovely place to have a meal but they need get a decent chef. No excuses for what we were served, especially at those prices.

We went to the museum’s Provenance restaurant for lunch and ordered from the Monet menu. We ordered two plates, at $27.00 a piece, of the crispy Pork Paillard with is accompanied by a side salad of artichoke, endive, radish, an arugula. This was a hyper expensive meal of underwhelming proportions. The pork schnitzel was fried and was lacking in flavor and very dry. Reminded us of the frozen schnitzel you buy at Aldi’s. We ordered honey mustard sauce to give the schnitzel some flavor because of its boring and dull taste. The side salad was ok. Small but not distinguishable. The restaurant and the museum should be embarrassed to have such a mediocre bland pedestrian menu selection and charge such an outrageous price. Patrons deserve better. I was extremely disappointed in the organization. To its credit, the service was exceptional and the coffee was good (at an additional). $61.56 for a meal that at best was worth half that in value. The museum is better than this.

Slowest service possible… whoever is in the kitchen acts like they are the boss. They think 100 times before moving and they look at you like you did something wrong

Wouldn’t seat a party of two, 40 minutes before their posted closing time. A long drive and $14 parking wasted.

Unimpressed with management. Service was good, drinks were excellent. However, my husband ordered the shrimp and grits for brunch and the shrimp was spoiled. The manager was completely blasé about it, which is totally at odds with their claim to be a 'fine dining' establishment. You're better off eating at any other restaurant in University Circle, unless you like overpaying for subpar food.

Waiting line was extremely messy. Anyone with the louder voices got the food first. I've waited an hour and finally got the worst food. It was my first time visiting the museum. Thank you for the great art collections, but the restaurants wasn't good as much as the museum.

Tried to have lunch today. But, hostess said it would be half hour wait. I pointed out empty tables. I asked her about a 2 top and she said, no it would still be half hour wait to be seated. She did not want to overwhelm the servers. Sounds like they need more staff🤔🙄

I was very confused on how to order, and none of the employees bothered to assist me, but were all smiles for everyone else I guess.

I called ahead three times, talked to Chris and reserved three separate tables to accommodate a large party here for my daughter’s first birthday party. William was my server (I believe) and a blonde girl later on. Upon arrival I was told I would be able to do three separate checks. When time to pay I was told unfortunately they could not do that and they add gratuity. This should be discussed before the last minute. I have never felt so unwelcome and judged in a restaurant before. The workers were giving me and my family nasty looks, and said that it was expected everyone to order food and drinks. What if some of my friends and family did not want to eat? On the way out, the server let us know for “next time” they could accommodate our party in their private party room! Chris never mentioned that over the phone. We racked up quite a tab in this restaurant and felt no hospitality so we will never dine here again.

New menu is an absolute a disappointment for meat eaters. Ordered the “steak” they brought out a thin deep fried hamburger patty. I heard the table behind me ask for sauce. Flavorless and expensive! The salmon was better, but my goodness how basic is salmon. Don’t let the old menu/photos fool you! They got me this time but never again Provenance. New menu coming Tuesday, please do better.
