I had lunch at Burnham Restaurant in Cleveland, and it turned out to be a really pleasant surprise. From start to finish, the experience was relaxed, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I started with the crispy Brussels sprouts, and they were absolutely to die for — perfectly roasted, crisp on the edges, and seasoned just right. Easily one of the best versions I’ve had anywhere. For my entrée, I ordered the roasted trout, and it was delightful — beautifully cooked, tender, and flavorful without being heavy. The presentation was elegant, and the ingredients tasted fresh and well-balanced. The customer service was great. The staff was warm, attentive, and friendly without being overbearing. Everything came out at the right pace, and it was clear the team takes pride in offering a good dining experience. When we went for lunch on a Tuesday, we were actually the only patrons in the restaurant, which was surprising given how good the food was. That made the space feel calm and almost private — a nice change from the usual lunchtime rush. You can tell the restaurant has the potential for a really dope vibe when it’s busier — the layout, lighting, and design all suggest it would be a great spot for a lively dinner or evening out. Overall, Burnham Restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves more attention. The food is fantastic, the service is spot-on, and the atmosphere has a lot of promise. I’d absolutely go back — especially for those Brussels sprouts.

we had the breakfast buffet and it was excellent!! i could see on the bottom of the bread pudding that they use real vanilla bean, and plenty of it. they even had two toasters, one dedicated to the gluten free bread they offered!

We ordered dinner to our room during our stay at the Hilton Downtown Cleveland and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. After we ordered, it only took 20-25 minutes for a staff member to be knocking on our door with our meals which was great and quicker than I expected. We both ordered the smash burgers and got a side salad. They were delicious and the portions were perfect too. I would say I felt the prices were a little on the higher side for burgers, but I do expect this in a hotel restaurant so I can't complain too much there.

This whole hotel is beautiful but it really is elegantly decorated for the holidays. The staff at the restaurant were amazing from the hostess to our waiter. My fiancé got the breakfast buffet, and I got the blueberry waffles. The food was excellent. The service excellent experience. The whole staff at this hotel was very welcoming. Where the hotel is located, downtown makes it very convenient to get around, we just called Uber. The view from my room was awesome, we were staying on the 15th floor. I added some pictures so others can see and form their own opinion if this is a place you would enjoy. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Beautiful decor and delicious breakfast buffet. The bacon is absolutely perfect crispy with great taste and the waffles have a nice vanilla taste. The cost was $21 dollars was worth it for the quality of food given. Omelettes are included in the buffet.

I disagree with all the negative reviews! We went here for Easter brunch and it was amazing. Service was so fast, and they were very accommodating of my Celiac. I asked if they could make gluten free french toast and it was no problem! They made it in a dedicated gluten free environment so I knew it was safe. My friends loved their food too, and we were in and out of here in an hour. Highly recommend and will be going back!

We had the breakfast buffet at Burnham in Cleveland. We stayed at the Hilton Downtown. It's on the 2nd floor of the Hilton.Opened at 6:30am. Food was amazing. Fruit was so fresh. Beverages are included. Orange juice tasted just squeezed. Our service was great! If you're looking for a place for breakfast in downtown Cleveland, I highly recommend The Burnham.

The food was great. The staff was even better. The atmosphere was modern but still cozy. My only complaint was with the menu. While the menu had great items, it was limited.

Food was excellent! It wasn't too busy in the restaurant considering we arrived at the start of dinner service. Food was prepared exactly how we asked for it. Not only was food great but was made with care and speed! Fantastic job guys! Would recommend to anyone! P.S. I am an employee, first time guest and am totally unbiased to my statement. It was also my birthday so they knew just what to make!

I've been here twice and both times the food and service was great so not sure why there are several negative reviews. The Burnham Burger (pictured) I had recently for Cleveland Burger Week and it was absolutely perfect. Everything you'd want in a burger.

Extremely accommodating and fantastic service. Best food we’ve had in a very long time. Highly recommend the breakfast/brunch buffet!

It's Valentines Day, and I'm away from hubby for work travel. Came to Burnham for dinner...got a GREAT meal, even better drinks and fantastic service. My 8oz filet was cooked to perfection. My Old Fashion was one of the best I've had in recent memory - they have a solid Bourbon selection. My bartender Steve was friendly, helpful and attentive. Making great suggestions while still keeping his distance and allowing me to enjoy dinner and vday with my family via the phone. If you are looking for a great location, great food and a glass that makes you want to empty it, go to Burnham.

What a great spot in downtown Cleveland. We ate on the patio and enjoyed every moment of it. Our server was terrific. He would show up only when we needed him and somehow he knew when that was. Menu was quite varied and we enjoyed the stroganoff especially! I would go back just for that.

Absolutely fantastic service on 11/10. *Ryan S* was our server and he was extremely polite and attentive. Ask for him and you will not be disappointed! We had the breakfast buffet which was very well done. $21 including coffee and juice is a fantastic price. We split a made to order omelet that was the best I’ve had. The buffet was well stocked. Smoked salmon, capers, thick French toast, very fresh fruit, gluten free and vegetarian friendly options.

Came here for lunch with a party of 6 for Summerslam. We had Ryan as our server and I can honestly say he was the best server I’ve ever had in any city. Funny guy who constantly stays engaged with you and updates you. The food was A+ as well. I had the salmon with the mushroom risotto and it was amazing. Two people in the group had a turkey club and it was the first time they had one where someone didn’t over toast the bread. Amazing food and service. Would go again.

We stayed at this hotel a couple of days and had two meals here. The breakfast buffet was great, and the service was also very good. We also had dinner at this restaurant and I'm not sure why so many people have left bad reviews of it. We had great service and an excellent meal and very much enjoyed ourselves. We ate here for our 25th wedding anniversary dinner, and I would do it again.

Friends of mine and I came to dine at The Burnham around 5pm on in the middle of the week. We were lucky enough to have been seated and served by Ryan Sulak. This guy hustled! There were other servers and staff around, but this guy was the only one making sure our experience was enjoyable. The food was great! But the service was exceptional. It is pretty rare to find people who love what they do and those who truly care about making the experience great every time for every customer. Ryan exceeded our expectations! Thank you, Ryan- we'll be back!

We went for dinner and breakfast. Two different experiences. We went to dinner anticipating great service and food. The restaurant was almost empty. Only three tables including ours. We were seated behind a partition and were basically forgotten. Our server left us alone. Did not check on our food or offer refills. Did not offer dessert. We had to flag her in passing ..one of the rare times we saw her and ask for water. She told her assistant dismissively to water us and walked away. We ordered the walleye. Mine was crisp the others were not. No server. I would have had to seach her out. I chose to hope she would check on our meals. No. She came by well after we finished with our bill. No inquiries as to our experience even thouh breading was left on two plates. No interest on her part. The hostess and water person were very nice. I was not looking forward to our breakfast the following day but it was included in our stay. It was an awesome experience. We were seated on the lower level by the window to enjoy the morning view. Our server Marquitta helped to make our experience great. She was friendly and professional. She checked on us several times. We decided to have the buffet which great. While made to order omlettes were included we were more than happy with the selections offered. The food was fresh and well maintained. Nice variety. If review was based on breakfast alone 5 + stars. I gave a quick 5 star review initially because we enjoyed our morning experience. I expanded my review because I know our dinner could so easily been great as well.

Amazing experience. The manager walked the restaurant to make sure the guests were happy. Each employee was personal able. The food was above and beyond expectations. We started with the Brussel prouts and Chick pea salad, Followed by the Turkey and pot roast sandwiches. Do not hesitate for 1min. Go enjoy your experience as much as we did!

I stayed here at the hotel for almost a week and had lunch or dinner here everyday! The food was great and the service was fantastic. Adam, Mike and Valerie were very attentive and warm.

Solid breakfast options and good service. Nice place to sit and eat breakfast before you begin your day. We both got chicken and waffles and we loved it! Fresh fried chicken and they gave REAL MAPLE SYRUP (you’d think that’d be the bare minimum at other breakfast restaurants but you’d be disappointingly surprised). Overall, this place was a great experience and this hotel as a whole was a stay we’d never forget.

Visited here on a whim. Was not staying at the hotel, but simply out in the area and we stopped for a very simple meal. The service was great, but the options were limited for breakfast (we didn’t get the buffet) However, what we DID get was simply amazing! We shared the challah French toast and had a few drinks including their mimosa (which was equally amazing!) We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are now planning to book a room for a weekend just to have an excuse to go back!

Breakfast was good. Thank you! Buffet $26 per person inclusive of juice, coffee and per order eggs or omelets. Good deal! Service was also good.

The staff was very nice and attentive. The place nice and quiet but most importantly very clean. Not impressed with the food, i got the chicken with pasta which was a little salty not a $24 portion, not enough food for the price. Definitely not worth $24. Coffee was basic and only half and half creamer nothing special. Again the staff was making up for the food, Very nice folks. I asked for a dessert i saw on the online menu but they didnt have it. Since the desserts on their paper menu didn't sound appetizing and lame coffee, i asked to take my food to go. Their online menu needs to be revised/updated.

Brunch was okay. Made to order omelets, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, rice, French toast, avocado on toast, smoke salmon, cereal, oatmeal and much more. service was okay. However the price was way too much for the service and food that was a little above basic.

I had a impossible burger and it was good. Drink menu was also good. Asperagus fries were too oily and there was fly wandering around out table..!! I'll still give 4 stars because the food and ambience was good. :)

Amazing breakfast, specially (the blackberry and cereal with yogurt ) good service and perfect for family and business man .

Staff is amazing. The level off service you would expect at a hilton main restaurant. The food is just OK, however. Best thing on the menu so far is the burger. Even the fish was bland. And as expected, way too expensive for what you get be ause of being attached to the hotel. If you cant get out of the hotel, its a good option. But take a ride to local restaurant. But make sure you take a ride. It's definitely not walking territory, unless you're comfortable in a DMZ.

Our waitress was phenomenal. I would give her 5 stars. The menu is very limited. Meatballs had a weird taste. Didn’t have a simple salad. No burger unless ordering from the children's menu. $130 for 2 adults 1 child.

Vivek Oommen

The ambience was good, and the staff were warm and friendly. There was no wait time, and the food took about 15 minutes to prepare. Unfortunately, the smash burger was just okay. The portion size was smaller than expected, and the lunch menu options were limited. However, there is a lot of potential for improvement.

If you’re looking for hotel restaurant food this will do it for you. If you’re looking for a date night out I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s not very intimate. The food was okay. The ravioli seemed like it wasn’t freshly made. The burger was okay but partially burnt. If you are staying at the hotel and need a bite it’s not bad, just don’t come for a date.

The Burnham is located within the Hilton in downtown Cleveland. The menu is limited with a few decent options though many of the options are unjustifiably expensive. I tried their burger and found it very tasty and satisfying, but it left me wanting more. Service and the environs were good.

M

Stayed and ate here as part of a conference. Buffet breakfast nothing out of the ordinary. Sad french toast pieces sweating on each other, very dried out bacon. Dinner was able to order burger off Menu from the bar next door. Very average food. Service was always excellent.

Entree took too long when there are only 2 tables in the restaurant. My server is gone somewhere, then I have to ask about my entree with other server. I get roasted trout, it smells bad when I taste it at first bite so I changed to roasted half chicken. The roasted chicken is not good as well. Chicken is so plain and the fried stuff that comes with it is horrible. I'm so disappointed on food and service here. It's gonna be my first and last time at this restaurant.

Special menu for the PRIDE Fest. The food was completely overpriced, lacked any flavor, and was the very small portions. The $11 chili melon bowl was a cup of unripened watermelon and cantaloupe with chili pepper sprinkled on it. The $17 garden salad was 1 cup of greens with 5-6 small pieces of chicken slices. The $17 hamburgers and cheeseburgers were just patties on buns with the condiments in plastic packages on the side without anything else. The $10 Guac and Salsa was served in small salad dressing cups. We were also charged tax on our ice water. We paid for the outside venue, overlooking the FEST, because the food was terrible. Our waiter was alittle overwhelmed and gave us someone elses credit card, so the service was below par. The host was extremely friendly, so that was a plus. I know I will not waste my money and my appetite again at this establishment.

Located in the Hilton hotel downtown, this restaurant has been around for a little over two years. A lot of hype, seemingly with little to show for it. A breakfast there had this reviewer wondering what the fuss was all about. If you're not a guest at the hotel, the biggest issue is parking: either valet right at the hotel or underground across the street. Both somewhat complicated and expensive. The breakfast menu is fairly simple with hardly any wow factor. Service was quick but hard to gauge accurately as the joint was practically empty. There's a breakfast buffet and a la carte menu, both overpriced and when you factor in parking, it looks even more so. There are two seating areas with a ramp leading to an open dining room with glass walls and a long bar; it looks organic and feels industrial-chic. Some people like to be seen in places like that. At The Burnham, they'll do so at a price, a high price.

From the first greeting at the host table, service left a lot to be desired. When we checked in for a party of 2, the host seemed disengaged and unsure of what to do. The manager (?) that brought us to our table was fabulous, but it was all downhill from there. Our waiter was anything but prompt. We asked to start with ice waters. Once we finally got them, they were tap water temperature at best. The food was decent, but not to order. My boyfriend ordered medium on the hanger steak; it came out well done. Both of our dishes were lukewarm temperature at best. It was quite poor customer service. I’m not sure what happened to our server, but our food ended up being delivered to us by the manager. Very odd experience over all. I’m not sure if they were understaffed, or just under trained. I’d expect much more for most restaurants, especially one within a Hilton Hotel.

I was excited to eat here! Looked like great food, but I was disappointed. The waiter was rude, and I had to flag him down twice because he forgot a couple items. He never asked how our was until I had to get his attention. I ordered buffalo wings, the waiter brought me plain wings and said “the buffalo sauce is on it’s way”…which was almost 10 minutes later. Once I got the sauce, the wings I ordered were so dry I couldn’t take another bite after the first one. I eat a lot of wings and these were some of the worst I’ve ever had. They were so bad that I asked for calamari instead. Waited 15 more minutes for that. But once I got it, calamari was great. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the name of the male waiter who gave poor service. But the woman who stepped in for him was Marquetta and she was amazing at service and kind. For the prices and the whole experience they claim to provide, I expected a lot more. But I’m appreciative to Marquetta and she deserved every cent of her tip. So five stars for Marquetta but two stars for the rest.

Took 45 min for extremely small portioned, bland and expensive food. Why put tomato sauce on salmon? Half chicken was the size of two big chicken wings. 19 bucks for 3 stuffed "mushrooms." I should have read the reviews first.

I know the prices of things have gone up due to inflation all around in 2025, but there’s NO way a simple Caesar should be $33. The salad initially was $18. I asked to add shrimp on (no price listed). I’m thinking the shrimp would be a slight upcharge but it was $15 (damn near the cost of the salad). And then the shrimp was the small to medium size ones you can find in the freezer section at the grocery (not the jumbo-large ones). So that in itself was a let down. But when did we get to the point of a shrimp Caesar salad sharing the same cost as a gnocchi, mushroom & leeks, salmon or half chicken entree?! My tikka masala I initially wanted via Uber Eats was cheaper (and I’m sure would’ve been more satisfying).

In decades of travel all over the world, the buffet breakfast at this Cleveland Downtown Hilton Hotel ranks among the worst. The service was almost non existent. Asked for coffee, got coffee and waited for cream which was delivered but was almond milk not cream. The eggs were inedible dry. They ran out of cheddar cheese for omelette. Goat cheese was the alternative. Still dry! At $25 p/p this is a rip off. They need to improve quality of food and if they are short staffed sear only those they can serve.

J

Please call me when you have a proper executive chef. I was at a conference in town with 1 hour for lunch. I order a hamburger. $15.50 prior tax and gratuities. I received a meat patty between two buns. This is all. Now when McDonald’s can serve you a burger for $1.35 that blows away the peppered ground meat I was served you have a serious issue with your kitchen. 4 stars for accolades with the manager on duty noticing the frustration. Seriously, fix your kitchen. Are you a Hilton restaurant or a motel 8? Call me when you have an upgrade please. This was pitiful.

S
Scott Fox

Had a work lunch there for 8 people last month. 3 of the meals had to be returned for not being done properly and when they came back they were missing part of the meal. We waited 15 minutes for the accompaniments. I actually had to search for waitress to then warm up 2 of the meals when they were returned. Sadly but honestly the worst food experience I have had in 10 years in Cleveland.

S
Sasha Thiel

The food was awful. I got the soup of the day and crispy Brussels sprouts appetizer. Soup was inedible. Brussels sprouts were the worst I ever had. Front desk host took a long time to sit me. I sat for about 15-20min before a server asked me for my drink order. First time I’ve ever left a restaurant without eating any of the food I ordered.

L
Lori Eilerman

Very disappointed. Got to the buffet - no potatoes, no eggs, no bread, only 1 bagel. Staff was not very pleasant when we asked to replenish the $30 per person buffet. Realize it was the Browns opener but should have been better prepared. Bright note - bar staff was great.

P
Patricia Wilson

Honestly? I can’t believe being charged $23.00 for a basic breakfast be the food being cold and altogether cold and disappointing. The buffet is disappointing. The ordered items are disappointing. It’s a waste of money. Go elsewhere. Even if you’re staying there. I’ve stayed at Hilton’s across the world and never received such horrible food. The unfortunate aspect is that the service is unmatched. Great service. Punish the chef, not the wait staff.

E
Erik Abel

Quite possibly the worst meal that I have had at any restaurant and extremely overpriced. Was 😵‍💫$280 for a family of 4. 1) the gnocchi came with an odd purplish pungent sauce 2) the pork/beef meatballs on cream pesto came out cold. Was sent back and came back out lukewarm 3) the $54 striploin steak came with an odd mole sauce and no amenable side options for my teen 4) for the kiddo, menu showed penne, red sauce and meatballs…showed up as egg noodles, lukewarm marinara and meatballs. Kiddo didn’t like, sent back and opted for a cheese burger instead which came back out with a cold unmelted slice of cheese on it. We were one of two tables with patrons in the whole restaurant. Left a lot to be desired especially with the price tag and should have just eaten bar food instead. Disappointed to say the least

E
Emma Rachel

Horrible breakfast service from the tall red haired waiter. He was rude to us as soon as we sat down and rushed the entire experience. We can always tell when automatic gratuity is included on breakfast coupons at a Hilton hotel.

J
Jessica Tolbert

The service was very slow with no other tables in the restaurant. Drinks took over 25 minutes to come to the table, and my salad ordered without croutons, came with croutons served to me by another person who then had it remade before our drinks had arrived. Definitely a bad experience considering its in the Hilton. Still tipped appropriately but definitely could use a retrain
