This is a very good mexican restaurant. I had the carne and picadillo. They were both hot, fresh, and flavorful. The carne was so tender. If your in the Converse area check it out.

This is a very good Mexican restaurant! The service is always excellent. Breakfast is wonderful, with a wide selection of Mexican and American dishes. At lunch, they offer several lunch specials (be sure to check the chalkboards). I had the mole chicken enchiladas. Delicious!

This place is okay. Hit and miss with certain items. Carne guisada meat here isn't as good as my regular place El burrito tapatio #2 on Walzem Rd. I'm a regular there and they know me better. Here, the vibes just are weird. Over all, this place is okay I guess.

Ate dinner here with my boyfriend and his family. Thought everything was good until the workers were making inappropriate racial jokes in the back regarding me. This place has been my favorite place since I was a kid. I went back recently in a while AND OMG WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! We came in wanting to sit in a booth but than realized our group was too big for a booth so we moved to a table that’s when the server with purple hair and lollipop earrings started to have an attitude ??? I asked for 1 cheese dip than later ordered a second one that’s when the server rolled her eyes and from there on the it was a tense experience!! I ordered a carne guisada . She brought out sizzling FAJITAS?! When we went to pay a lady on the register was MAKING SURE I TIP! I am also in the server industry and would never hustle someone for a tip when my service was horrible! It’s been a couple of days since I went and god this experience just irritated me so much BE BETTER !!

I am so over this restaurant, I keep trying to go back, but this is the last time. Prices keep going up, and it’s just disappointing. Ordered 2 breakfast tacos, paid 7 dollars. Got one baby salsa cup, and no chopped onion or cilantro for the barbacoa. Not even a pack of salt or pepper (and the barbacoa needed it).

Wont be back. Waitress with purple hair is not fun to be waited by. Makes for a 1 time dine in and DONE. These days service makes more than 50% of returning customers. The lady with gray hair, has a fun attitude, seems pleasant. Request her if you stop by. Decent food. Nothing to rush back to for me. Atmosphere seems clean.

Not so welcoming here. Go somewhere with friendly faces!!! You'll enjoy your meal better. Maybe the staff, especially young girls, hate their job? But empty tables and enough staff to help but no one happy to work or tend to walk in guests. Why work sevice field if you dont want to service? They always look unhappy. Maybe check management and see why its always such bad vibes? The waitresses before used to be pleasant. I tip well, good or bad service but wont be dining here anymore or spending my money here.

My experience here was not impressive. My friend wanted to try this place because it is close to her house, so we decided to go. I sensed that something was off as soon as we walked in. We ordered three main plates and one small plate. The fried fish and shrimp I ordered had no flavor—no salt or seasoning. The service seemed more focused on getting tips than on providing exemplary service. When we finished, I went to pay, and the cashier started repeating our order one item at a time. They charged for everything, even the cup for my leftover tea. When my friend asked for an empty cup to take her leftover tea, he also tried to charge me for that. Eventually, I was charged for two cups. I asked for a detailed receipt, but the cashier gave me a credit card receipt. When I insisted on a restaurant receipt, he pretended not to understand English and then walked away. I would advise against coming here; the food is not good, and you may be overcharged.

They were super busy today because it's mother's day, but there tacos were just not on today. Very flavorless like they didn't season anything. I always come here, but today was not a good experience. Edit: Great now, my wife goes to eat her mother's day breakfast tacos, and there's a long black hair embedded in the eggs. Gross, my son ate the same tacos.
