For family birthday celebrations, we celebrate at the restaurant the birthday person chooses. This was our first celebration at Kingfish. We have one family member that does not like seafood. What an amazing choice. We had a private room, fantastic meal and flawless serve. Everyone raved about their meal. We could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you all for making this evening memorable.

This was our second visit. We took my mom for mother's day. Although the service was pretty slow, the server was very friendly and the manager as well. Everything we ordered was thoroughly enjoyed. Of particular note is the wedge Caesar salad which may be the best one I have ever had. We'd gone to Capital Grille the week before and it was a very happy surprise that the steak at Kingfish was MUCH better, I would have never expected that from a seafood restaurant. We highly recommend Kingfish!

There was a little wait, but not too long for a busy Saturday. It waitress was very nice. The food was wonderful! This was a great 50th birthday dinner! My husband and I enjoyed ourselves.

First visit for our anniversary in a Tuesday. The waiter was very energetic. He was very detailed about the bourbon. I don't know if it was intentional but the soup and drink were slow to arrive at the table. I had the hotty toddy (not my fav) and lobster bisque soup. He had the presidential flight and a wedge salad. The food was perfect I had the kingfish trio and he had the Delmonico. They gave us a complimentary créme brulée for dessert. So together this was about $200 for 2 people with drinks.

First visit and it won't be our last! The service was attentive but not fussy, cocktails expertly made, and every dish was reported as excellent by our table of 5. My Pasta Newburgh was so good it may become a "must order" item on my comfort food scorecard.

We dined in for our first time. Make reservations as they are always busy especially on a Friday evening. Bobby was our server and was delightfully entertaining and attentive to our table service. Our food was cooked perfectly. Around the table we ordered the crab claws and calamari appetizers, twin lobster tails, New York strip steak and the blackened walleye. Deliciously perfect all around. Ambiance is moody and elegant inside. We will be going back!

This upscale eatery has some of the best, freshest seafood for a restaurant not in an ocean coast. The Blue Point oysters were delicious, plump and juicy. The minuet sauce served with them was just the right accent to add a burst of brightness. The wedge Caesar Salad had hands down the best dressing I've had by far. It had just the right balance to it and a nice anchovy hint. For the main course I ordered the Kingfish trio of lobster tail, scallops, shrimp, lobster mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The lobster tail was nice and sweet and of course paired well with the drawn butter. The scallops had a great sear and we're perfectly cooked. Then there is the simple shrimp that was some how turned into some of the best shrimp I've tasted! I can't pick out exactly why, but it was wonderful with the a small dollop of the seafood based sauce which contained a little brandy and was obviously flavored with lobster shells. The lobster mashed potatoes were the perfect starch for this dish along with perfectly cooked, crisp, tender, large stalk asparagus! For dessert I tried the creme brulee which was so silky and delicious. I would recommend this establishment for any special occasion, or just a great Saturday night dinner.

I was craving some seafood which this place satisfied for sure. Quick overview: food was amazing and fresh. Server was very nice and friendly. I will go back again. Calamari was nice and chewy but not in a bad way. Like its original texture. Breading wasn’t too heavy. Only complaint is it was still a bit oily for my taste. For main, I got Chilean sea bass which was amazing. Perfectly cooked and it went so well with sides. Highly recommend

The food is delicious We had fried spicy cauliflower, the Caprese salad, and the King Fish trio. The scallops were the best I have ever had.

Me, my mom, and my daughter had the most delicious meal here today. It was our first time dining in and we went for happy hour. We were delighted to see a surf & turf summer special on the menu ($49) that was $10 off during happy hour. Me and my mom each ordered one and it came with a salad, petit filet, full size lobster tail, asparagus and mashed potatoes. IT WAS DELICIOUS! Everything was cooked to perfection! Awesome value and we’ll be back to take advantage of this excellent meal again!

We walked in without a reservation. I was a bit concerned because the parking lot was fairly full but we were promptly seated as soon as we walked in even thought the restaurant was very busy. The staff was very friendly and professional. They all seemed to work together as a team. We had at least three different people clear items from our table. The food did not disappoint and the menu offers a nice selection of seafoods and steaks. The atmosphere is upscale casual and the price points were just right, in my opinion. I definitely would recommend it.

As an overall dining experience, Kingfish deserves five stars. The dining room is softly lit and upscale looking. It's pleasurable to have a welcoming host seat you and check on you during your meal. A server just to fill your water, and yet another server to take your orders and serve your food and drink. If I had any complaints about the overall experience, it would be that the music is a tad loud. Now...I came at an odd time of day, and the restaurant was nearly empty and very quiet, so that may be why the music seemed louder than I expected. I ordered a Bellini cocktail. I've seen pictures online, but never tried one. It was tasty, but not very attractive here, which was a slight disappointment. They have always looked prettier in pictures. For an appetizer I chose the lobster bisque, and it was excellent. Very savory and creamy. A bread service was also provided, consisting of warm slices of sourdough bread and butter. I love sourdough bread, so I was delighted. So flavorful, and it was literally steaming, moist with a firm crust. The attention to detail in the piped butter was visually delightful. I chose the trio for my main course. Shrimp, lobster tail and scallops, with lobster mashed potatoes and asparagus. I won't lie. I'm an American accustomed to large portions for my money. And this menu choice was probably the most expensive on the menu. The lobster tail was miniscule. The shrimp and scallops were substantially sized, and everything was well prepared and tasty. I'm just spoiled I guess and have had the pleasure of eating lobster in a lobster pound in Maine with sides and a dessert for twelve bucks...so fifty dollars for a few bites of lobster hurts a little. I will say that after the appetizer and main, I was satisfied and had intended to get the check and leave. But my server told me that there was both key lime pie and crème brûlée on the dessert menu and I was hooked. Two of my favorite desserts. I will say that the menu choices here go very well together. Sourdough bread and key lime pie tie in very very well with the seafood theme. Ultimately though, I opted for the crème brûlée, because I like to see how various restaurants execute it. I was intrigued at this restaurant's approach because it was presented with a cornbread Madeleine. I was not impressed with the Madeleine. They should be spongy and delicate. I think cornbread is a poor choice here. Cornbread is good and has its place, but it's too heavy for a Madeleine. It was heavy and dry. I took one bite and was disappointed. The crème brûlée however was everything I wanted. The crust was nice and crunchy and fun to break into. The custard was rich and delicious. I did enjoy the two fat, juicy raspberries plopped on top. So juicy and a nice addition. Overall, pricey, but a relaxing, upscale dining experience.

Excellent restaurant! I always come here for the best seafood but my wife gets Steak Diane and I must admit, after trying a bite of hers it's really good! But on principle alone, I always order seafood. Last time I got the 6 oyster flight, 3 East Coast and 3 West Coast oysters... Wonderful 👍 This time, my starters were lobster bisque and shrimp with crawfish risotto. Then she got her fillet and I went with the Salmon. It was perfect. I recommend asking for the Salmon medium-rare! Truly awesome with a great sauce. Desserts were creme brulee and cinnamon bread pudding. Great experience and we will be back.

Great celebration restaurant! We both had their signature Seafood Trio: Lobster, scallops, and shrimp over lobster mashed potatoes with a side of asparagus. (See photos) Was excellent! For dessert, don't miss their Chocolate Fudge Brownie, a decadently fudgie brownie topped with salty caramel ice cream garnished with hazelnut sand branded black cherries sauce. Photo attached.

I actually really loved this place. On top of a great atmosphere they also have private rooms. The five stars is mainly for originality however the customer service is what took it over the edge. We got a visit from the GM to thank us for choosing them. Also the waitress was very personable. They were kind enough to let me get some good pictures of the place. The food was awesome. The shrimp and grits was amazing. There was a mixture of shrimp and sausage topped with some finely chopped veggies topped with some sort of topping overtop their version of grits. It is a must have. I had the Kobe beef burger. Absolutely awesome. I was tender and juicy and melted in my mouth. To top off the meal I had a banana foster cheesecake. That should speak for itself. Give our current situation I must add the place is clean and safe as you can get. They have plexyglass in between each booth and the tables are a good safe distance. . I also noticed they don't reuse the menusThe only thing is can be expensive. They do have some good options that won't break the bank however I would recommend to bring your credit card. Instead of me going on and on I encourage anyone to stop in and have a great meal in a great place with great service.

Excellent food and service. Husband had the Kingfish Trio, lobster bisque and key lime pie for dessert. I had the special; the red snapper. I also ate fried cauliflower with crème brûlée for dessert. It was fantastic!

Whenever I'm in town to visit family my Father and I eat here. I highly recommend it. 😋 We both had Mixed green salad & Salmon, he had the "Gulf of Maine Salmon with fingerlings, spinach, mushrooms & lemon butter". And I had "Grilled Salmon, mashed potatoes with green beans & lemon butter". Deserts were Salted Carmel Ice Cream & Flourless chocolate cake w/vanilla ice cream. Thank-you Nick for your awesome service!

First time I can recall going to a restaurant owned by Hospitality Restaurants but after this visit, I'm looking forward to visiting others in the area. Their restaurants seem perfect for a special occasion. We celebrated three years together and our recent engagement. I had the Atlantic Cod dish recommended by our server Griffin. My fiancé had the crab cakes; both where divine to eat. Before that we had the lobster bisque and spring salad. Those where good portions and good choices to start our meal. For dessert we shared the keylime pie. An excellent way to close out the meal. Place was clean, staff and management was attentive, and menu is solid. Hope to make a return back for another special occasion.

Wonderful experience! Seafood and other dishes were all excellent. Our waiter was fantastic - friendly and knowledgable. I'd recommend the lobster bake, tuna tartar, and lobster bisque. Also, BBQ carrots and jar of key lime pie...very tasty!!! Can't wait to go back and try other dishes.

This was my first visit and I’m hoping that it won’t be my last! This hidden gem is truly nothing to sleep on! Before a work event, my husband and I decided to grab dinner at Kingfish. We started off with the octopus that was on special as well as a half order of the blue point oysters. From there, my husband had the lobster bisque and I had the Caesar salad only to be followed by their incredible entrées where I did their surf and turf (the lemon sauce on the lobster was literally life changing!) and he had the halibut. Our server was knowledgeable, kind, and definitely made the experience what it was. My only disappointment is that we didn’t have enough time for dessert, because the Keylime pie was definitely calling my name! If you’re in the area and looking for some great seafood, I strongly recommend checking out kingfish you will not be disappointed.

Going to Kingfish is an experience in all the best ways possible! This is my second time coming here and the service and treatment from the minute you step foot into the restaurant until you leave are amazing. The food is beyond good. I had the 10 shrimp cocktail which are huge with the Kingfish Trio for dinner. Whatever is on the menu you can trust it will be good. The dining room and seating are exquisite. Reservations are required because this place is always busy.

Outstanding, our new favorite! Y'ALL, I will dream about their oysters - so fresh and exquisitely prepared, thoroughly cleaned and detached. (Some more expensive places don't even bother to get all the sand and grit out.) The salads were delicious. My daughter is a lobster bisque fanatic and said this was the best she'd ever had. My son said the same about his crab cakes. I had the filet, well-seared and seasoned, tender inside. My husband had the halibut and it was cooked to perfection. The sauces were excellent and even the broccoli was amazing. Super tender and flavorful, not undercooked how many places prepare it - bravo to the chef! Lastly, we seriously had the best service of ANY restaurant, ever. Jim, you are one in a million!!! As a former server myself, you were appreciated beyond measure. Our dinner wasn't just delicious, it was delightful because of the joyful spirit you brought to our table.

My girlfriend and I decided we wanted to take our date night to someplace fancy. Kingfish welcomed us with wide open arms. A very cozy atmosphere, very quiet despite being packed at 8pm on a Saturday night. Our waiter Shawn (Shaun?) was very nice and accommodating. Very easy to carry a conversation with and very helpful. We started with the Fried Calamari. The light cornmeal breading was sweet and savory. I got a medium rare wagyu steak with a lobster tail, and allow me to say, the lobster tail was the best, most delicious lobster tail I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. So unbelievably juicy and buttery, yet still has a subtle crunch that I believe you'd want out of your lobster. The steak was grilled to perfection and the char on top was amazing. My girlfriend ordered the Oysters Rockefeller and a shrimp cocktail with more Blue Point Oysters. She also ordered a lobster bisque to go with it. Watching her eat the lobster bisque was something else. Kingfish made for a very romantic late night dinner date, and I promise I will be back for more lobster tail.

Shoutout to the chef Eric Wright and the sous chef Jay B for providing such an amazing experience. Dining at this restaurant took us on a journey of flavors that we cannot express in words. Let’s begin with the lobster bisque soup; the best soup I have ever had. Hands down the best soup ever. Then comes the special salad, and our entrees. Cooking seafood to perfection is not an easy thing, but when I say this staff killed it with their skills, I mean it. The food was cooked to perfection, with each bite yielding nothing but flavors. If you want greatness, and you’re willing to spend some dollars, then this restaurant is the place you need to go. When you do go, please ask for Nick. He took care of our table and we have never seen someone as knowledgeable in the restaurant industry as him. He described each item so eloquently that we immediately knew our food would be good. Overall, this place won our hearts!

My family and I came here for the first time without an reservation and we got right in. The service was outstanding! The calamari was probably the best I’ve ever had. My salmon with mashed potatoes was even better. My stepson had the swordfish and he really enjoyed it. My fiancé had the surf-n-turf and he was amazed with the way everything tasted. We were very pleased with everything. The atmosphere there was perfect with a little bit of moody in the air! We’ll definitely be returning. Worth the price!

From start to finish our dinner was spectacular! The service was wonderful - we were seated right on time for our reservation, we always had people filling our water glasses, and the manager checked on our table at the end of the meal. Lucy, our server, was excellent. She was present and knew the menu well. The cocktails were spot on. 3 of us dined and had nothing but rave reviews for the food. From the sourdough bread basket to our dessert, everything was a 10/10. The Maryland crab cakes were actual crab, and not full of filling - one of the best I’ve had in an inland state! The star of the show was the brûlée cheesecake - done perfectly! We celebrated a birthday and they brought out a complimentary crème brûlée which was delicious. This is my first time ever leaving a restaurant review because it was just that good. 100/10 recommend for any special occasion! From the pics, you can see that the brûlée cheesecake was gone before we remembered a picture! The lobster mashed potatoes were perfect and tasted almost like a lobster bisque in potato form. Perfect!!

This place is always consistently fantastic. We booked a family event here, and it couldn’t have gone better. Chris and the staff were super accommodating, and our chef was able to prepare dishes around some pretty strict allergies. The food couldn’t have been more delicious. This is quickly becoming a regular spot for our family.

Experience was not what I expected, it was way fancier. Kinda pricey in my opinion, but what isn't these days! $200 for 2 people (appetizer, cocktail, and entree). Very clean and beautiful atmosphere with immaculate bathrooms. Staff was friendly and outgoing. Let me tell you, though... the food was delicious and bountiful. Will go back for special occasions.

Nice atmosphere. Food is decent. Staff is very friendly. We just walked in on a Saturday evening with no reservations. Sat at the bar but waiting time for table was not that bad only 30 minutes. We ordered alaskan halibut. Pretty presentation but slightly unflaverful. Also ordered the salmon which was good. Bread was good as well. We sat at the bar and all the staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice upscale place that is worth checking out.

Date night, and the server was excellent. Ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, with Himalayan Rice and Arugula Salad with Goat Cheese. Also ordered The King Fish Trio, with Lobster Mashed Potato and Arugula Salad. The waiter suggested The KingFish Old Fashioned and it was superb. Also, The Espresso Martini is good too.

Good food nice atmosphere and very nice service. However, two of us ordered the beet salad 🥗 and there were no beets included—we mentioned this to the waitress the moment the salads were served but she said no no no they are buried under the lettuce. They were not, so she was nice enough to bring us beet slices on the side. However it was a mixed blessing because the beets were spiky on the tongue and had already started fermenting. Grilled shrimp were very good, grouper was quite nice, and green beans and fingerling potatoes were yummy. I’d be willing to come back here.

My family got together to celebrate my birthday 2/1/25. Reservation was honored on time and staff was very friendly. The food had some shortcomings. I LOVE oysters and was expecting to be blown away. Ordered the dozen blue point for an appetizer and the oysters looked pretty but had no taste at all. They also had no firmness and instead of having the juicy, shiney texture that slid out of the half-shell they were flat and hard to dig out with zero taste. I'm used to oysters tasting like the ocean these tasted like absolutely nothing. For my main I Ordered the trio. It was delicious but could have been a bit warmer, my potatoes were lukewarm at best. There were 7 in my party and only other disappointment was the chefs fish special was so over-seasoned that my Dad couldn't eat the chard and other garnish. The Delmonico steaks were cooked nice but we're not as juicy as a ribeye should be. We ordered dessert and everyone that had the ice cream said it was the best they ever had. I had coffee and it was nothing special, just house coffee. Overall pleasant experience but very disappointing on the oysters. I did try and contact your manager as you had asked and sent an email once I read your reply and I've never received a response.

Average seafood place, the lobster bisque had like hot sauce in it and was too spicy for me to eat it (I’m a wimp when it comes to spice but also lobster bisque shouldn’t be spicy, in my opinion), the shrimp and scallop entree came out lukewarm/cold but I had already sent back the soup and didn’t want to make a fuss. The chocolate brownie dessert was ok. The garlic broccoli side, lobster mash, and bee sting drink were both super delicious though.

For the price we paid, the food was just ok. I ordered one of the specials and it was a miso sea bass dish. Didn't really taste the miso. [I only ordered it because I LOVE miso!] The quinoa on the bottom had no flavor, it was actually quite "wet" from what im used to like they just boiled it n scooped it on the plate. There was a tiny bit of "miso sauce" on top of the dish but nothing popped for me. I tried my date's steak and wasn't a fan of whatever sauce was on it. He was starving that night but only ate half the steak, the mashed potatoes and threw the rest away. Think the only thing we both enjoyed was the seafood tower, but that doesn't exactly involve cooking much. Atmosphere was nice though. The service was super!

C
Cowboy

Very expensive, and portions were pretty small. My biggest problem was the Oysters Rockefeller - it had a pea crab in it (two, actually), and only came with four oysters (pretty much a rip-off). They did bring us another order after pointing out the crab, but still suggest that they didn't really look at it closely before serving *they are very easy to catch before plating* The lobster, shrimp, and scallops meal was decent; however, the scallops were definitely a bit raw. The side of creole rice with sausage in it was fantastic though! Lobster bisque was excellent! Pairs better with white bread rather than a sourdough, though. Calamari was also good, with a generous portion size. Had a whiskey sour, as a bartender, I know a light pour when I get one. About a 4-1 ratio of whiskey to sour mix, and it's not worth the price at all. Overall, the food was mediocre, earning it a rating of 5/10. However, unfortunately, it only allows 5 stars for reviews, so a 3 is a bit of a compromise. The server was friendly, quick, and not rushed. The atmosphere was typical for the style of the restaurant; however, I think the food needs to be of a bit better quality and size. Don't think we'll be back.

S
Sharon Gerstenslager

My husband and I both ordered our steaks medium. Mine was cooked nicely and his overdone. The steak was poorly seasoned, however the lobster tails were perfect. The mashed potatoes tasted good, but we're very dry. The asparagus wasn't even worthy of plating it. They were like tree trunks, so very tough. Each had one drink and with the tip it was nearly $200. NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!! Very disappointed!! Waiter was very nice and efficient.
