Only had the bean and cheese. Don't know about the rest but an excellent bean and cheese burrito!
Awesome little Mexican food spot. Been here for decades and they have the best epic wet burrito you can ever have. Their tacos and salsa are tip top, just great food in general. Never a disappointment, ever.
Amazing tacos....I'm very impressed. The people that take your otder are always kind. Also. They are no more expensive than fast food but taste so much better.
We found this simple little place passing through town. The prices were comparable and the food tasted delicious! We are regulars now.😊
Authentic Delicious Original Recipes.... opened the same year that Corona became a city. Third owner, but each time the original recipes have been included as a non- negotiable part of the sale. The prices are competitive with other restaurants BUT the food is far far better than the drive through your currently shooting in and wondering, "is THAT total right??"
Been coming here for years through 3 or 4 owners. Although a relatively simple menu, they have all the primary traditional Mexican dishes; to include Albondigas and Menudo on the weekends. Frankly, and call me a typical gringo, but what I love most about this place is their salsa. Very thin, not chunky, but very flavorful and more spice factor than most. It's bomb!! A definite must if you've never been.
We've been going to this restaurant since the 1970s. We now drive in from Orange County to have our favorite shredded beef tacos. We always stop there on the way to and back from Riverside. Always good food.
Great crispy tacos & carne Asada wet burritos. Can't wait to try the burrillenos next time!
Omg best hard shell tacos ever chimichanga is so good as well
Amazing! Love this place so so so much! Will return frequently! They're always playing good movies. The salsa is on fire!! And they give it to you on a squirt bottle, like for ketchup. Love their carneasada tortas
Good food friendly service Good environment. Awesome establishment
This is a sweet spot for your taco or burrito fix !
Excellent food. Good old time ground beef tacos. Also their carne asada tacos are loaded with meat. The home made sauce is great. I just found this place yesterday and went back again today. Looking forward to my next trip.
I've been going to this restaurant for years and the one thing I can say is the food is extremely consistent always good maybe a little on the pricey side but well worth it will continue to dine here. The staff and the cooks are great God-bless you guys
I come here every time I am in California. I have been co.ing here since I was 10 yrs old. The famous Burrelleno is the absolute best🩵
Wow those tacos are amazing, love the hot sauce. Great stop, will see you on my way home.
Oh my goodness, try the Burrelleno (a chili relleno wrapped inside a burrito) it was awesome! The food is excellent and the service polite and kind. This is the spot for great Mexican food. I will be returning often.
Small dining area but great taco special 😋
We chose Con Amore tonight to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Outstanding choice..!! The service was excellent as was the menu and the meals. Everyone fully enjoyed their choices of appetizers, entrées, and beverages.
Me and my family love this place. Clean and friendly environment highly recommended
I've gone here since I was a kid. Always great food!! Love their tacos and burritos. Highly recommend
First time I went there I was sold The owner mentioned that they been here since 1958. No wonder why they are still here. They are a staple in the community. Good food great service. Why go anywhere else
This place has some of the very best Mexican food I've ever had. The portions are generous, the food is authentic and the people who work here are extremely friendly and helpful. I can never finish what I order but it doesn't stop me from trying!
The food surprised me, in regards to the look of the restaurant. Excellent hard tacos. I had the shredded beef, and ground beef; it's hard to say which was better. Both were grrat, their salsa really makes it too.
Tried the shredded beef tacos they were sooo good rest of the menu look good as well definitely coming back
I stopped here on the way back from Vegas to get some shredded beef tacos. Many years ago I managed an arcade in the little strip mall just south of El Torero. I wasn’t sure it still existed, but thankfully they are. Not surprised, it was awesome but simple back then, and they’re still great!!
1st time trying it out & will definitely be going back! The carnitas were off the hook delicious 😋 From the burritos to the taquitos (I tried a lot of things) to their house salsa....so good! Not overly spicy but just enough to get the tingles...compliments the pork/beef really well! Super nice owners & highly recommend 👌
We have eaten at El Torero since 1984... We moved for some time, and travel didn't allow us to stop in for 8 years . However we did stop in this weekend... The food hasn't changed it was incredible, just as remembered. The chilli relleno burrito is now our favorite. There goes our diet.
Fantastic Mexican food like always! Connie is the owner now and she's doing a great job. My egg, bean and cheese burrito was really good and the tortilla was fresh. My family has been going to this restaurant for 50 years now and I am never disappointed.
Love their food. I like their ground beef tacos and their shredded beef tacos. I have friend their enchiladas, they are good also. I had their taquitos also, they where ok. Loved their rice and beans. Have always shown up during the week in the afternoon. All the times the place has been pretty empty, the service is good and serve fresh food within a reasonable time. I love the homemade flavor in the food.
This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Their chips and chile which you get before your food if you ask is FANTASTIC one of the reasons i love it is because of the chile! The burritos, rice and bean, etc. are all very good. They have no problem fixing something if they did it wrong. The staff may have an attitude sometimes but you just have to be friendly with them and they will be friendly with you and some are just like that but overall the service is decent with fantastic food! I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!
I went at 7:00 p.m. dinner time and had a bean tostada as on Wednesday they have them for $2.75 per. It comes, with of course, a tostada shell, beans, lettuce, shredded cheese and diced tomato. I smothered it with their salsa and it was absolutely delicious.
I absolutely LOVE this food. My least favorite thing is the shredded beef taco. But the hot sauce complements it well. Everything else I've had is amazing!!!! It's very small inside so be prepared for that.
El Torrero is your go to, if you're looking for good hard shell shredded beef, chicken or potato tacos. This is a popular spot in Corona and it's right off the 91 Fwy. They've also got lot of other great options like their Chile Relleno, Chile Verde, Carne Asada, and Carnitas burritos. Usually lots of people eating there or picking up takeout. There is limited seating, and considering the popularity of El Torrero, it's usually to call ahead, and pick up your order for take out. Especially on Taco Tuesdays.
This little mexican restaurant has been one of my favorite spots since I discovered it back when I was in High School back in 1989. The food is good and the service it good too. The restaurant is also very clean and inviting. Therefore, if your in the Corona area stop by El Torero you won't be disappointed.
The best of food. Have patronized this location for 30 years. Even though change owners nothing affected the quality or quantity of food. Tacos my favorite. The restaurant always clean and kept up. Staff so attentive. Never miss going there when I come through Corona.
I’m so glad Richard recommended this restaurant. Comida here is delicious beyond words! The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. El Torero just earned a permanent place on my go-to list. Highly recommend!
I am so glad I decided to try this place. I actually meant to go to the little place across the street but ended up here by accident. It is a small restaurant only about 8 tables in there. It was almost noon and already crowded. They were pretty fast didn't have to wait long to order or to get my food. I took mine to go since it was so busy and no seats available. I got a chicken taco and a chicken tostada for just over $4 but the chicken tostada was supposed to only be a bean tostada so that's all I got charged for but I didn't realize it until I got home. Thanks for the free upgrade from bean to chicken by the way. And one thing is for sure they do not skimp on the ingredients I had tons of chicken on both the tostada and the taco. I will definitely be going back right after I try out the place across the street
Best Tacos on the planet! And that Jalapeño salsa they give you is the greatest thing ever made. I line in OC and ANY time I find myself heading through Corona I stop here. Great prices, great service, best food period.
First time going to El Torero today.I Found this place on google when I was looking for a Mexican restaurant that has real good albindigas soup. After reading the reviews we just had to try it. It is a very small but homey spot. It is very nostalgic of amazingly good homecooked authentic Mexican food. The food is just like my mom used to make. Food was so delicious I didn't even think to take pictures of our food. I just had to try what we ordered. My brother had the Albondigas. Which was so authentic and the best he has had out here in Corona from any of the other places we have tried. We tried a shredded beef hard shell taco. It was fresh and crispy flavorful shredded beef in it and it was not all greasy. My niece had the Pozolé. It was delicious had plenty of hominy, pork meatit was the perfect balanced ratio of both. The soup broth was so delicious. I chose the beef flautas combination plate. They were fried to perfection. Absolutely the best flautas I have ever had so crispy and non greasy. The beans and rice were just as delicious. I was also super excited they had my favorite of all time drink Orange whip. If your looking for some delicious amazing authentic Mexican food. El Torero is the place to go. The staff is so friendly make you feel like Family. I forgot to mention there Salsa is so so good. Serving size is pretty big portions. My flautas combination plate only had 2 flautas with rice & beans. I got so full I brought home 1 flauta and the other half of my rice & beans to eat later.
We haven't ate here in years .Still taste great would recommend for authentic Mexican food.
The food is great! Their hard shell tacos are some of the best in Corona. Their house made hot sauce is amazing. It's in an older area of Corona, and parking is limited. It's worth checking out if you are hungry for some good Mexican food.
I love this little place! I haven’t been in years because it’s far from my home, but the food was just as delicious as I remembered. The tortillas, meats, beans, salsa and rice are all super flavorful. The staff is especially kind and generous. I will be back on the weekends for sure. Thank you for taking good care of me on my visit! Can’t wait to return.
Ordered on DD from this place today for the first time and it was delicious. I usually order the taquitos plate at any Mexican Restaurant I try for the first time; if beans and rice are good than most food should be good. Well the taquitos were delicious along with the beans and rice. They fill up on their meat, no skimpy little taquitos. I'm definitely going to explore their other plates now. I totally recommend this place👍🏼
Best taco shop in Corona, in my opinion. Restaurant recently remodeled, but still a tiny charming little hole in the wall. Everything on the menu tastes amazing. My favorite are the hard shell chicken tacos. Filled with meat, homemade shell, everything fresh.
Great food...was disappointed that a bean and cheese burrito cost more than 3 SHREDDED BEEF TACOS. Paid over $9.00 for said burrito, but paid 6.99 plus tax for the tacos? Can anyone explain that math. Outside of that...it was great food...will be VERY CAUTIOUS of what I order next.
My wife and I have been coming here since 1964 !!! We've seen several ownership changes and each one seems to improve the facility, but leaves the menu (mostly) alone which is great with us. The new owners keep the restaurant, including bathroom, really clean. And, the food is better than ever !!
I had a chicken burrito and a little salsa and it was delicious every bite I took, the chicken was tender and the beans and rice were getting along really well with the chicken. I highly recommend the place and would definitely come back for more.
lol.. We’re starting off by laughing in a great way because that’s how surprised we were walking into this small gem for the first time & only ordering a Thursday special of 5 rolled homemade taquitos!.. sour cream & some of the best guacamole ever on the side as well. Fresh lettuce & tomatoes. One type of delish salsa on the side! We left here eating 1 of the best if not the best rolled taquitos we have ever tasted! Imagine the rest of the menu..lol.. We Amazon flex in Corona so we eat out over here ALL the time & will be back to this staple that looks like has been providing phenomenal service and food since the 60’s. We didn’t get the gentleman’s name that assisted us but he is one of the nicest guys ever literally he’s super chill!! We highly recommend this place so far!! WOW!!👍🙏🙌🇺🇸
Taquiot plate and spice salsa is awesome. This place has been here for several dozen years.
Solid Mexican food. Above my expectations! I got the Pastor burrito
This place was delicious if I could give them 10 stars I would. One, they are affordable and not trying to drive up prices. Two, they are super friendly and just have great customer service skills. The place is super clean and to top it off their food is delicious and tastes home made and not over salted. Everything is made to order. The salsas were perfect for me because they were tasty with out being too hot. I dont like to suffer when I eat, so I feel like this place was definitely for me. We ate in the parking lot in the car in the shade because the baby was asleep. Windows down, burritos w salsa and a Jamaica in hand nummy num. Thank you guys for the best expierence. Definitely will make this our stop when we are in town from here on out!
Generous portions and friendly staff. Food is deliciously prepared and tasted fresh. I don’t mind coming back again.
Brought my mom here for brunch, and our Waitress was fantastic! She did such a excellent job at serving us. I thanked her for hard work and hospitality!! She made our dining experience a great one!! We will be back. Thank you Irma R.

I was in Corona for a job and came across this place. Decided to give it a try and oh man that asada burrito and the salsas were really good. From now on I know where a can get a good meal, at reasonable place and a small and clean Mexican restaurant in the city of Corona. Ok
Tacos are amazing, there hard she'll shredded beef Tacos are the bomb ! Stuffed with enough of everything, and the tomoti green salsa
I’m always on the hunt for a good hard shell ground beef taco. And this one here is among some of the best I’ve had. Nice and crispy. The beef felt nice and full. Flavor profiles seasoned well. Cold sliced cheese. Diced tomatoes, and cold lettuce. Great crispy hard shell. I ordered the 3 for 7.99 deal. The other thing missing for me was sour cream. I will be sure to add that next time. The salsa had a great bold flavor as well. Nice indoor space. And it’ll be a must visit for me whenever I’m in corona. Recommendation: hard shell ground beef tacos
This little gem has thee best hardshell tacos. We go every Tuesday for their taco Tuesday special. It's 7.99 for 3 delicious perfectly crispy tacos. Their fresh salsa is fire, and they give you plenty for your yummy tacos. The employees are always kind, and services is fast.
After almost 30 years my husband and I went for lunch today and they did not disappoint. The burrelleno tasted just like we remembered it, the taquitos were crunchy with their guacamole and sour cream and the torta de carnitas fresh and delicious! We will need to come back with our daughter and introduce her to a new-old restaurant! Thank you, Tacos El Torero
Food is very good there , when I'm forking and I take a lunch I go there if I'm out towards Corona, the chili con carne and rice is very delicious and so are the tacos I highly recommend to go there.
Always great food. Best shredded beef tacos in town!!
One of my regular spots. Good food, affordable prices and plenty of parking now! They’re known for a chile relleno burrito that’s pretty good but I go on Tuesday/Thursday for 3 tacos for $6.99 and tostadas bean and grilled chicken.
Great Tuesday night tacos, hard shell, some of the best tacos I have had. Will become a good to for taco tuesday.
Small Mexican restaurant. The food was amazing. I had shredded beef hard tacos. Visit and give it a try.

Another favorite hometown dive. Tucked away in a semi-residential neighborhood near the 91, this location only adds to the privacy and character of the restaurant. The food speaks for itself, definitely flavorful and a decent value as the portions were a little larger than average and they have fountain drink refills if you're dining in. The small dining area is quaint but could get a little tight during peak periods. While I was there, the dine-in to take-out ratio was about equal. I saw a couple of microwaves in the kitchen but they appeared to be used only to melt cheese. The carne asada burrito and chili relleno were excellent and I would highly recommend El Torero - especially for dining in during off peak hours. FYI - If you use a credit or debit card, they charge you $1. extra.
I tried the shredded beef Taco. Delicious 😋. My burrito had a hair in it, but they replaced it with another one that tasted really good 👍
Had the burrito and chile reyeno. Both were excellent, by far the best reyeno chili I have had from a restaurant. The burrito was huge and very filling! Yummy salsas available.
Great authentic Mexican food. My favorite are the hard shell tacos. I would suggest calling your order in since it takes awhile to receive your food. Understandable since its fresh
The food is good, takes awhile but it's cooked to order. The portions are good and for someone that can pack it away, that's good too. As the name suggests it Mexican food. I always have the #3 combo. It's a taco, taqiuto( did I spell that correctly) an enchilada with beans, rice and chips. Try it, you'll like it.
Got the carne asada fries. If u eat here be prepared to wait a full 20-25 min for your food. More if it's a larger order. Fries were very good, carne asada is mid, and cheese was real. Only issue is that was it. No toppings. Just 1 little cup of guac that doesn't help much.
Food was good but average. I for the #10 and the meat was not seasoned. Could hardly taste the Chile relleno. Small family owned restaurant. No real atmosphere but gave Atmosphere four stars since the restaurant was very clean.
During a quest of different restaurants for taco Tuesday, we fell upon this place. The salsa and guac appeared and tasted processed and not real. The meat was fair and lacked the flavor I was hoping for. $6.99 for three hard shells which was a decent price. Ok in a pinch.
the store front may not look pretty, infact we were skeptical. but the food was good and fresh, we picked up and brought it home and it was still hot. What they called red salsa was more like puree and it was spicy hot hot. the green was perfect with a bite. only complaint it wasn't cheap.
Usually go on the special days for tacos or taquitos but the rest of the menu is solid. Portions are big and the pricing is fair for what you're getting. The carnitas are good, easy to pass them up with all the options but it has a nice crisp to it and good flavor. The salsa has good heat which compliments the menu and totally worth getting a to go order of. It's been around a long time and has changed hands a few times but the latest owners have brought some old glory back to the place which is very nice.
Good place for lunch on this area good choice of food California burrito 🌯 love it
The food is excellent. I ordered the flautas plate and they are tasty. The beans and rice that came on the dish had good flavor. The only thing is that my food took 20 + minutes and when you only have 30 minutes for lunch, you don’t have much time to really savor the flavor.
One of Corona's older Mexican restaurants serving excellent food, burritos, tacos and other Mexican specialties. This restaurant has a small dinning area with some benches outside. Was here on a taco Tuesday afternoon and it seemed too hot inside so we enjoyed our tacos outside on the benches. The tacos are like home made the best in the area you get 3 tacos for 7.99 which is an excellent deal. There's plenty of parking. Restrooms are outside and you need to ask for the key. Recommend this establishment for some excellent Mexican dishes.
Wanted to try a place I haven’t been to in years and remembered liking it back then. Still small and simple. Open air kitchen and it looks clean. Flavor is good and portion is good. Prices have changed though. Two burritos and a soda we $28. But it seems to be things are now everywhere. We will be back.

If you're looking for taco's dorados "this is the new spot ,they have chicken, shredded beef & potatoes choices. They are the bomb "i recommend this place it's very clean inside and the hot salsa they offer is spicy ""Service is very friendly and the food is made fresh 👍👍
Been coming here since the 80s - gone through the owner changes. Still good but not quite what it was, but I could be spoiled from the original owners.
Food was good authentic Mexican food. Pre pay and self pick up. While paying self check out asks for the tip. Thought it unusual as their was no table service and we were given cheap and flimsy plastic utensils. The food was good the people working there were indifferent. We won't be back.
For a place that serves plastic utensils the price is not cheap. Not high but not cheap. Most combo plates are priced at $12 not including drinks. Food portion was good while not tasting exceptional or special at all. This facility is very small with restroom was outside around the building.

I would not come back here again. Overall the food was good and the salsa. Even though they only have one type of salsa it was pretty good. But having so many people not only the people that work there but also the customers just staring at you, especially when you notice they were staring at you and you smile at them, some of them just kept staring. Felt so uncomfortable being there. Not much seating. It feels so crowded. Music is loud so had to talk louder which we didn't like
The chimichanga was not good. The enchilada sauce tasted like the caned sauce. Ordered tacos the asada was not good. They messed up my order and gave me fried chicken taquitos instead of soft tacos. The only good thing was the carnitas tacos.
First and last time here. Carne asada burrito had no flavor. Food is way overpriced for how it taste. Only one type of salsa. No jalapeños. Won't be coming back
The food is good but the burritos are filled with rice I barely had any meat place is good but next time i will be asking for refund
Tried this place out after reading the good reviews. Going to be honest! Had the chile verde , maybe I went on the one bad day but, was very dry! And had the texture of shredded beef which I can't stand! Again maybe I just went on a bad day! Drove 50 miles to try them out, not likely to return!
We used to love coming here. They have some great food. Today I went in and ordered quite a bit of food including a machaca burrito to bring home for my husband. This burrito had no onions or tomato like they say it does. It was straight shredded beef and egg and not even any cheese. I called down there to speak with them and explained the situation. The man on the phone said there was nothing he could do to make it right. I offered to bring the burrito back in so he could look at it as my husband only took one or two bites. He said he wouldn't do anything to make it right. I just wanted them to make another with lots of onions and tomato and he said no. We come in here often and will not be going back. The quality of the food has suffered greatly since the new owners took over, horrible customer service and prices are wayyyyy to high.
I was really hoping I’d found a hidden gem. I went based on the reviews on the hard shelled tacos and flautas. I placed my order for 2 tacos and clearly ordered 2 flautas. I ended up with taquitos instead of flautas. I let the cashier know she got my order wrong but she didn’t seem to care enough to correct her mistake. So, I just kept the taquitos and hoped they were good. The taquitos were below average and the guacamole was weak also, no flavor like store bought or fake. One hard shelled taco was shredded beef, but was bland. The ground beef taco was actually tasty. Too bad I wasted calories on this place.

Firts was a good second time visit they cut the portions and the pastor was so grease
My Husband placed an oder for a bean burrito with light cheese. They basically gave him a cheese burrito. I call and told the very rude lady that I wanted my money back and she told me no that she will give me beans. Not even give me a new burrito. I took a picture of the burrito. I only took two bits and noticed. They should not have someone as rude as that answers the phone. I hope the manager sees this and will not be aware of his very rude worker that was working 11/1/24 @ 2:30pm
Just had lunch first time... 2 shredded beef taco plate...was kinda crappy..meat was dry, no flavor no juice..refried beans blah. I had a jamicha drink and now I can't stop coughing.🫤
I ordered carne asada tacos, chicken tacos, carnitas tacos, and al pastor tacos. The asada tacos were the worst tacos I’ve ever had. They were extremely dry and bland. The tacos were $3 each, but absolutely terrible. The tortillas were stiff and seemed old. The chicken was extremely dry and old. It tasted dry and old like reheated meat. The pastor tacos were ok at best. The carnitas were very good and moist. We also order the famous burrelleno burrito which was mushy and bland. The chile relleno itself was soggy and bland. The salsa was extremely bland as well but helped moisturize the dry meat. Would not return or eat the food again.
We’ve been doing business here for 28 years & love the food! Unfortunately this will be the last time. All because of a simple mistake and rude employee. My wife placed our usual order of hard shelled chicken tacos with extra cheese. I picked up the order after practice, got home took a shower and settled down to eat. Unfortunately we got beef instead of chicken. No problem; it’s happened before. Went back to get the correct order because we don’t eat beef. This guy checked the order and insisted my wife ordered beef! He was rude and refused to correct it. I asked if he was the owner & he said no & the owner wasn’t home! He said he didn’t know her phone number and refused to give his name! All over an about $10 bucks! Ok, sadly we won’t be able to support this business anymore over this guy!

I keep coming here for memory reasons. I used to come here when I was a teenager and now in my sinior years. The food is good but not worth the horrible adettude from staff. I went there to dine in and the tables where dirty, no big deal. I asked the guy in front nicely for a napkin so that I could clean the table myself in wich I had no problem with that at all, I know sometimes they get busy. The man never answered me about the napkin but instead I saw him telling a woman to clean our table. So I saw her coming out with a cloth and started cleaning 2 other durty tables and cleaning the top of the trash rim while walking over to clean our table. As she aproched our table I let her know that I was not confortable with her cleaning my table with the same cloth that she used to clean the other tables and she got upset telling me in a very rude maner that the cloth had clorax on it and that it was ok to use. I told her that I prefered cleaning my table myself if she didn't mind and she rudly ignored me as she proceeded to clean the table with the dirty cloth while complaining about my request. After she left I ask for a napkin and cleaned my table with alcohol myself. Then later came another lady with the same cloth asking me if I wanted her to clean the table in which I said no but thank you. I also let her know that I had already cleaned it and I mensioned to her nicely that the other woman was very rude, although she wasn't as rude as the first woman she ignored my comment and walked away. I was in no way rude to anybody there and certainly did not deserve to be treated that way. I could not believe the unesesary rudness and it certainly took me by suprise. It ruined my meal esxperience and I never receaved an apology at all. I saw the rude woman talking to other customers there and perhaps complaining about me, staff kept glancing over to our table in wich was more rude to say the least. People sometimes blow there nose, spit, or just simply leave germs on tables after eating wich is totaly normal but that is why you should always cary a bottle of disinfecting spray and a clean cloth to clean the tables for health reasons and to protect costumers. Very disapointing and concerning healthwise as well as how they think that that type of hossttle rude behavior is exceptable. Food is ok but not worth my money and time. I regret my visit. 😟Hopefuly they wont do it to other costumers for they act very snoby and intittled. They should be greatful and be nicer to their costumers because thanks to them they are in business.
Went to El Torero in Corona, CA, hoping for a good meal but ended up with terrible service. The woman at the counter was very rude, giving us unpleasant looks and speaking with an attitude while taking our order. When my friends and I were laughing about something private, she snapped, “What are you laughing about?” That was completely unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. She acted as if she didn’t care about losing customers, and her attitude ruined the experience. El Torero needs to improve its service. Choose another place that treats customers with respect. I will not be going back.
