Was Kunden über Sushi Asahi sagen
Sushi Asahi is known for its fresh fish and AYCE option. Many praise the quality and fast service. Some find the AYCE pricey or the rice not fully cooked. The Alaska roll, Tuna lover roll, and baked muscles are popular.

Tip: Go Monday through Thursday for alcohol specials. Consider the AYCE option to justify the cost, focusing on the more expensive dishes.

I ordered a few rolls to go so I can't comment on the service. I was able to pick up my order within half an hour. Food was ready when I got there and was great
Haven't been here in a few years. Use to be my favorite to go to. Had three rolls pink lady, popcorn , one with yellow tail. Still delicious. Highly recommend.
The sushi was delicious. Everything came out tasting fresh and was made to perfection. But the service was what made our experience one that made us not want to come back. The servers were very slow. Our refills were not being brought anything we asked for or needed was not coming out. We had to ask multiple times if we needed napkins or soy sauce, etc.. It’s not like it was crazy busy where they weren’t able to help us multiple times they were laughing and talking with each other instead of helping us other tables were ordering alcohol and they were getting plenty of help. If they get better servers, I think the establishment would have a lot better service. It would definitely help us to recommend people to go there. Update- * we went back and they truly redeemed their selves. Food was delicious. Service was top-notch. Everything worked out great. We will definitely be back again and the money was well worth spent.
Good ambience and vibe. They have outdoor dining setup because of covid. The wait was for 1 was a little un-reasonable of about an hour for dinner ! Good value of all you can eat sushi for 29.95. I ate tuna and salmon nigiri. Tuna and salmon and spicy tuna hand roll. Had their Sashimi salad. And Miso soup to keep warm.
We were able to eat inside, but they do have outside dining as well under two white canopies with multi lite lights. Ordered the Alaska roll, Tuna lover roll, Yellowtail hand roll, baked muscles, spicy tuna....YUMMY. The tuna was melt in your mouth fresh and our waitress was very knowledgeable about menu and was helpful in substitutions because my date could only eat tuna and yellowtail. They were covid compliant: tables were 3 feet apart and cleaned after each guest.
Still the best sushi place in Southern California. At least, all the ones I’ve been to so far and I’ve been to a lot! Prices gone up just a bit for AYCE (All You Can Eat) lunch and dinner but it’s ok. The amount of sushi I had justified the cost and then some. They’re rather pricey so the AYCE is the better option if you’re a foodie like me. I love the ambient, the staff are always friendly and helpful no matter how busy they get. I like their greetings in Japanese (at least I think they’re speaking Japanese) to every customer that walks in and when they leave. There’s this one guy who’s been working there for years working cashier most of the time but I don’t know if he’s the owner, manager, or what but he’s always smiling and acknowledges everyone that comes and goes. Pretty awesome. I like their happy birthdays when they dim down the lights and play a club type music over the loudspeaker. Then you hear the song. Oh man, it’s so unique. I’ve never gone to their happy hour before but if it’s anything like the happy birthdays, i can only expect more fun. The rice in the sushi are always made fresh and perfectly firm. Never too soft and never too hard. Just right. They have such an abundance of various sushi types. I don’t like the raw ones, but they have plenty of cooked sushi’s. I have yet to taste a bad one or even have the urge to use the restroom afterwards. I have a sensitive stomach and for me not to go, that’s a testament to their freshness. If you’re looking for a place with great customer service, a wide variety of fresh, delicious sushi, you got to try this place out. We always come back to Sushi Asahi, even though we live outside of San Bernardino County. Yeah, it’s worth our time. I will post some picture here but darn it, I can’t remember these names lol. It here they are in all it’s glory. If I order them, they must be good and you should too.
Great food, very fresh fish. You can taste the quality in their dishes. Staff is very friendly and attentive, even when they're busy, which is every time I've been there. I always do the All you can eat, which is very well priced, especially compared to other sushi restaurants. My favorite dish is the popcorn scallops roll.
Great food and great service. Ordering your food and receiving it is fast and efficient. One of the better AYCE Sushi places I've been to. We were not left waiting. Quality of the fish is topnotch. They do not undermine with smaller cuts or less quality. Everything we sampled tasted great. Especially loved the eel. Freshest and best I've ever tasted. In Corona! Their crispy rice with spicy tuna was a different twist but was amazing as well. Dont miss out on coming here.
ok sushi, with ayce so many options. nice staff and manager. like any other sushi place small amount of fish but lot of sauces and the quality is ok but not super.
Staff was wonderful and friendly, but they all seemed a bit like we have all felt when the boss is a tough guy, we walk around scared and a bit nervous. Music was wonderful and the food fantastic. Ask for what you want and see if they can make it. I'm going back that's for sure.
We like to try new places and do a little sushi hopping. It was the 4th of July and many places were closed so we ended up here. Aiden was our servicer and was excellent! He gave us the VIP treatment. We were pleased they had all you can eat. Prices reasonable and sushi was good. My favorite is salmon sushi and it was thick cut and fresh. We will be going back!
Pros: Food was delicious and has lots of options to choose from. Plus they DO actually have All you can eat! (Many places don’t) Cons: More on the pricer side for all you can eat. Overall: Great experience and staff was very helpful & friendly. On our way out everyone said thank you(:
I’m not sure what’s changed here. I ordered rolls to go and they were mostly awful. They currently have a special but on the last two occasions the sushi fillings tasted like canned tuna. My friend’s rainbow roll tasted normal, but the rest were really disappointing. This place used to be delicious, but lately it feels like major shortcuts are being taken.
middling ayce sushi spot. I recommend Sushi Loco instead sushi rice amount is a lot more than other spots. fish quality was a hit or miss, depending on what you ordered. we liked the cajun salmon, regular salmon, & escolar. service was ok, but leaning on the slower side. 32.95 per person, dinner, friday.
My family and I went to have dinner since our 5 year old ask for sushi tonight. Strike 1. When we arrived we ask if our 3 year old needed to pay $30 for AYCE if my wife and I got it and the waitress said yes. I understand charging my 5yr of but how much sushi can a 3 year old eat!?!?? Strike 2. We decided to order shrimp tempura appetizer, California roll and caterpillar roll. Tempura shrimp took about 15 min to arrive to the table...on a Monday? With 4 cooks in the kitchen? 2 sushi chefs and 2 other backing them up. Strike 3. Our sushi rolls, one of them being a California roll and probably the most simple item on the menu took close to 40 minutes. The table next to us let us know that they were waiting for close to 50 minutes for their entrees to arrive. We decided to wait since our daughters were hungry and it was too late to go somewhere else. Once the food arrive it was fresh but 40 minutes for a California roll it is unacceptable. This place has huge potential, the atmosphere is good, the food is fresh but the sense of urgency and communication from the staff to let guests know that the food will take forever is their downfall. Coming from a 15 year manager experience human, I will let you know that if you step up your serving speed and communication with your guests, your business will make way more profit. Also train your staff so they are more flexible with special requests or ask management for their opinion before they awkwardly say no right away.
It's definitely not a michelin Star restaurant, but it's still a decent spot... for the atmosphere. The service is great, i cannot say the same for the food. I ordered 3 different rolls and each one tasted no different than the other. The over use of mayo in these rolls was gut wrenching. Would ask around for a dedicated sushi restaurant before settling on this one.
When we got there the waiters were staring at us not saying anything not even a greetings, we waited for a while to and no one ended up helping us so we just left. Probably the most awkward experience iv ever had going into a restaurant.
