The restaurant was super relaxed almost like being at a friends place. The food was really great and portions were surprisingly large, especially the chicken fried chicken. Ribs outstanding. Our wait staff was really attentive and did a great job. I’ll definitely be back to enjoy this place again.
Never a disappointment when dining out here. Great atmosphere, very relaxing. I have been in here countless times throughout the years and have never experienced anything but professional waitstaff and management. Drinks and food are always amazing!
The first time I visit... everything was awesome great service and food was incredible.. I recommend it.
I went there with a friend of mine and ordered the Chicken Fried steak. I have to say that I've had Chicken Fried steak in restaurants alll over the country and this plate was by far the best I've ever had. The service was absolutely amazing and the place was really nice and clean. The whole restaurant had a great atmosphere and ambiance. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get a great meal. My buddy had the New York strip and absolutely loved it as well. Our waitress was phenomenal and very informative on the different plates available there.
We setup a graduation dinner. The hostess and team were extremely accommodating, and friendly. Even to engage the graduate in conversation about their future moving forward. Every dish we ordered came out quickly, hot, and very delicious! Price wasn't bad either. It was a great evening. Definitely will be back!
My fiancee and I had a delicious yet affordable meal here for our anniversary. The drinks and food were amazing. I would highly recommend it.
Niko's does not disappoint! We've dined twice since moving to the area and both times have been GREAT! On our most recent visit we had the pleasure of being served by Brandy at the bar. Let me tell you, she was an absolute delight. We wanted for nothing and of course the food was on point yet again! This place is quickly becoming a favorite spot for us!
Amanda was my server today for lunch. Food was amazing . She was super nice . We will definitely be back !!!!
My birthday. Beef tips and rice with the extra shrimp. The shrimp was excellent. The beef tips and rice was cold but the head chef brought us our new plates and extra food and the whole experience was fantastic!
I don’t know where to start! The food was delicious. Nothing disappointed! Our waitress was too notch. Very helped and accommodating. We started our the with Cordon Bleu poppers, and the Fried Mushrooms. Both were a meal on its own! She recommended the country gravy to dip with the mushrooms, and it was 10/10. The poppers were yummy our favorite. You get this nice cheesy surprise with bits of ham when you bite into it. It didn’t even need any dipping sauce, but it was nice to have the ranch just in case. My husband got the Black and Blue Ribeye, it was beautifully seasoned and cooked to his liking! He got the Mac & cheese as his side. The noodles were a little over cooked, but still yummy. I got the Prime Rib with a baked potato. Everything was absolutely delightful! The meat just melts in your mouth, and the baked potato came right off the skin when I was scrap the insides. To end our meal, we got the creme brûlée! I’m a little biased when it comes to this because it’s hard to impress me with this dessert, but I would honestly come here just for this! It wasn’t too sweet, the custard was creamy and fluffy, and the caramelized sugar was perfect! To come to our surprise we didn’t spend too much either. I feel like places like Outback, Texas Roadhouse, and Saltgrass are much too pricey for what they serve. On top of that they’re chain steakhouses! Niko’s is now going to be our go to steakhouse!
I would like to share my positive experience at Nikos. The food and service are excellent. Scott and Abby are above and beyond service professionals and the reception personal are always very accommodating. Lastly, Samuel the manager is attentive beyond measure. I left my Debit card at the restaurant and he safeguarded it and rapidly returned it. The entire staff are fantastic and the hours accommodate first responders and second shift professionals. Absolutely the best in Corpus Christi.
Great service and I can say that there chicken fried steak is one of the best in Corpus Christi. Thanks for a great time. Update in 5yrs. Well they still have awesome food and service. There margaritas 🍹 are out of this world and that's coming from a non drinker. Great menu to choose from. Returned back with my cousin and sister to have them try it out and they loved it. Continue serving great food.
Came for lunch on a Friday, it was busy.. food was good! Atmosphere is great, but the service was above and beyond greatness.... Phylisha should put on a masterclass on customer service..
Great food, service and atmosphere. I had prime rib and it was so tender.
When we headed out for dinner we had a different restaurant picked out. When we drove by the parking lot was empty. We’d passed Niko’s & it looked busy so knew that was a good sign. We hit the jackpot! We had Top notch service & delicious meal. Our waitress was friendly, efficient & professional. I ordered the Black & Blue Ribeye steak and it was the best steak I’ve had in a long time. Hubby had salmon that was very flavorful. The manager was out working wherever he was needed & came by to see how our meal was. I highly recommend this place.
Very good! Visiting from Houston with a friend. Had the caprese salad appetizer. I had the pork chops with a traio quail, sweet potatoes and a salad. Friend had the salmon with asparagus and rice. All very Good! Our waiter was super friendly. Prices reasonable. Would definitely recommend!
I was by myself, it was very busy yet they had a seat for me in 2 minutes. I ordered the rib eye charred medium rare and it came out perfect.
I have Always had a great experience at Niko's and today was just as great. Service was was excellent and the food was on point. My steak was cooked exactly how I like it.There is usually a wait but I beat the rush. Good happy hour specials. I will be back.
I had a bowl of their gumbo. Delicious! My daughter and her fiance had black and blue steaks. Both loved them. My mom had the baked potato soup. Thought it was very yummy. Nice atmosphere and our waiter took very good care of use.
We came here because the place we had originally planned on was closed. But the waiter we had was amazing. The food was decent for the prices. They could have plated a little bit neater (I didn't take a picture of my husband's plate for that reason)... it definitely seems to be a Birthday hot spot. We were there on a Monday night and there were at least 4 Birthday celebrations that we witnessed. Overall, the flavor on the steaks and the mango margaritas were the highlights. They do not do a whole lot with the sides. We also got the cheesecake, to go. It was very good! Very large portion.
It was packed and we didn't have to wait. Service was great. Food was great. Food came out hot and fresh. I think i found my newest place to eat in corpus.
We love Nikos! Always great food and wonderful service. Brandi was our server today and has served us before. She does an absolutely excellent job! Hats off to Brandi🎉🎉
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Niko’s. They don’t take same-day reservations. The person that answered the phone told us that if we had an early dinner, waiting for a table wouldn’t be a problem. We got to the restaurant at 6 PM and were immediately seated. Abbie was our waitress. She was professional, prompt, courteous and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere of the restaurant was clean and upscale. I ordered a mesquite grilled mahi-mahi covered with a Veracruz sauce. My wife ordered mesquite grilled chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Veracruz sauce is not intended to be very spicy hot. It wasn’t. Nevertheless the sauce overwhelmed the incredible mesquite flavor of the mahi-mahi. Frankly I much more enjoyed the flavor of the mesquite grilled mahi-mahi that wasn’t in contact with the Veracruz sauce sauce than the fish that was in contact with the sauce. That’s not because the Veracruz sauce wasn’t good. It was good. It’s just because the flavor of mesquite grilled mahi-mahi was so much better than the sauce, and the Veracruz sauce somewhat obscured that flavor. On a return visit to Nico’s I definitely would consider ordering the mesquite grilled mahi-mahi again. However, this time I would ask for the sauce to be on the side. As an alternative, I might ask the chef if he could top my fish with some garlic butter or aïoli. That way I think I would even more enjoy the dish. My wife very much enjoyed her mesquite grilled chicken Alfredo. I tasted it, too, and thought it was exquisite. For dessert, we had a piece of cheesecake with a raspberry sauce. The dessert was also exquisite. Our meal was reasonably priced at approximately $55 plus tax and tip. As I already said, both my wife and I plan to soon return to eat at Niko‘s again.
We had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, our waitress was wonderful, and the fact that Nik prepares the majority of desserts himself tells me that he's involved with the cooking. The appetizers we ordered were the cordon bleu poppers and the fried mushrooms. Both were top-notch. The steak and prime rib were absolutely cooked to our expectations, and the creme brulee was caramelized to perfection with a nice creamy, yet thick, custard. We will be returning. Definitely recommended!
I usually get my food to go because I don't have anyone to dine with but I think they're the greatest restaurant around here and probably all through Texas i think this one statement speaks for itself and that they're always busy and I mean always so im not the only one that thinks they're that good and they have a bar that makes really great drinks I almost forgot to mention that it's funny because people reading this are going to think you paid me to say this when I never even give ratings or criticize or review anything but this is my chance to say something nice about a place I like and I think other's feel the same
We had a great experience. The steak was one of the best in the area. Great grilled chicken with Swiss and avocado. We had the fried mushrooms and the chicken cordon Blu. All the food was excellent. Mac and cheese lived up to the reviews we had heard from friends. Kyle was our server. He keep our food coming and we never had an empty glass. Wonderful job Kyle! Update..... we came back 2 months later and had the same exact things and can you believe it, but it was even better this time! By far the best steak in Texas. All of it so good. Abby was exceptional, what an attentive and wonderful server! 👏
My sweet sister and I went for a special steak dinner. I got my annual dose of chicken fried steak with fries with #gravy (and enough catsup to raise my sister’s A1c) and my sister had a delicious ribeye cooked just right with a baked potato exactly like she ordered. Chocolate is the perfect ending to every meal, and the molten lava cake with a generous dollop of vanilla ice cream did not disappoint. Service by Shanna was exactly what one hopes for when one goes out for a special dinner.
Isabel is absolutely amazing. Made the dining experience for myself and my friends the absolute best. Will be coming back to see her, if you’re ever here, ask for her! ❤️
Was seated right away. It was busy. The bacon steakhouse burger was very good. The staff was great.
Last Friday was mine and my daughter's first time at Niko's & our waitress Isabel made the experience memorable, warm, & inviting! We met up with family & friends for lunch, some of which we hadn't seen in years. Isabel was very knowledgeable of the menu, had the perfect drink recommendations, & was extremely pleasant to speak with. She made sure our large table was taken care of & had us cry laughing the entire time! We had such a great time & definitely would ask to sit in her section again. She made the time we spent at Niko's worthwhile. The food & drinks were great as well. Thank you Isabel!
We had the Demonic stake and it was delicious. The restaurant is very nice the lighting you feel very relaxed. I would have given a five stars for service but the waiter never asked if I wanted a refill on my tea...
Everything went well on a Friday night. Staff was attentive, energetic (in a good way) and cheerful during the Xmas holiday. The food took longer than expected but priced well and worth the wait. Loved the layout in the large bar area with its 20 ft vaulted wood ceiling and 15 ft caged wall of wine and spirits. Great atmosphere and hope they continue doing well, Corpus is in need of more places like this.
This is a great place we ran across, while on vacation. The fried mozzarella sticks, and fried mushrooms were tasty. The 12oz Ribeye, 20 oz Bone-in Ribeye, and the 16oz Prime Rib were cooked to perfection. And the mashed potatoes, baked potato and potato soup were good as well. All good portions. My friends had a couple of Long Island Ice Tea's, and an Old Fashion from the bar and said they tasted great! Will most definitely visit again! Thumbs up!!
This was my first visit. My military veteran friends & fishing buddies came down to north Padre island to go fishing. After our fishing trip we stop by Nico Steakhouse to eat a hot meal. My friends ordered sirloin steaks & a chicken fried steak. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes & gravy. We also ordered the fried mushrooms & the cups of seafood gumbo for appetizers. Tristan served us. He was an awesome server. He took great care of us. The food was delicious. We loved the fried mushrooms & seafood gumbo. My chicken fried chicken was moist, tender & delicious. I was surprised that they didn’t offer military discounts to the veteran community. Thanks Tristan for great service.
Casual and great steak, rib and drink atmosphere. Good looking food and portions for the price. Bread and butter accompany each meal. Steak & Rib combo $21. Filet steak $31. Each meal came with two large sides. Steaks were made as ordered. Happy hour appetizers 5 - 7 pm. Service was good. We will be back soon.
Visited this restaurant this week and was not disappointed a bit by the experience. The service was great and the food even better. There was a bit of a wait to begin with which I didn’t expect but that’s probably a testament to how good the place is. I’ll definitely visit again in the future.
All was good! The steak was very tasty. I enjoyed the shish kebab with a Caesar salad and chili. The mac and cheese is very creamy and the potato soup was insanely good and highly recommended. Creme brulee was good too ! No complaints on the food or service. The only thing that I didn't like as much was the amount of TVs and A huge bar in the middle of the restaurant.
Our server Fotina was sweet and informative and very attentive. I ordered the stuffed chicken Florentine. It came with rice pilaf, which I didn't know or I would have gotten a salad instead of the baked potato. My husband ordered the pork chops and mashed potatoes with gravy. It was all tasty. The chicken was a little overcooked but still good. We also ordered fried mushrooms and cordon blue poppers. They were both delicious. I also had a dirty martini which was perfect. A lot of places don't know how to make them. The atmosphere was good. A little loud on the background noise but it was busy. The wait to be seated wasn't long either considering how busy they were for a Wednesday night. All in all we will return. We were happy with our experience.
We went for our anniversary dinner and it was great. We got the spinach artichoke dip, which was just ok it seemed like there was a spice in it, maybe nutmeg, and I'm not a big fan of it. I also got the fried mushrooms. Those were good. We both enjoyed our steaks. He got the loaded mashed potatoes, and I got the rice pilaf. Both of those were good also. They have a daily drink special every day. Check it out if you go. The waitress I didn't get her name, but man, she was awesome, always checking on us, making sure everything was good. We will definitely be back to try new things.
Service was flawless. Restaurant was clean. Absolutely loved the chicken. Highly recommend.

The Hawaiian Chicken is delicious. Also the chicken and shrooms. Service was great. The restaurant is clean and seating is comfortable. Cody our waiter was awesome!

Got a recommendation for Niko's at church we were visiting. The ribeye was great. Loved the flavor and cooked just right. Enjoyed the atmosphere and service.
Amazing food, great price and our waiter Kyle was AMAZING!! Great food recommendations and very very attentive!! Excellent- Superb service - WELL DONE!!
We started with the fried mushrooms with your choice of dip. The mushrooms were delicious. We had the 20oz T-bone, with a salad and loaded baked potato. The steak was tasty, but a little bit to salty. Potato was delicious, and salad was good. The meal came with a loaf of bread, it was kinda dry, but tasty. They have a full bar with several TVs hung up on the wall, playing sports. They have a different bar drink special every night. It has a large very dining room that is clean and enjoyable. Our server very friendly, and professional.
Had alway heard Niko’s was a great place for dinner. Arrived at 2 pm for a late lunch, there were numerous empty tables . I was asked if I wanted to eat at the bar. I asked for a table and was told they had the check with the waitress? A lot of people left while I waited. When seated, waitress was friendly and engaging. Lunch menu had only sirloins, no ribeye. I decided to stick to the lunch menu even though the dinner ribeye was an option. Decided on the Orange-Rum Glazed Mahi-Mahi. After all, who doesn’t want rum for lunch. It sounded really good. Salad had some wilted/wet leaves I did not eat. Asparagus was soft and had an excellent buttery flavor! The mahi -mahi was also very good. The sauce was tangy and sweet. It was served on a bed of rice Overall I had a good lunch and would return
I stopped by here on a recent trip to Corpus Christi with a few friends. It had a very stereotypical, dark, cozy, steakhouse atmosphere with a very tolerable noise level. The service was attentive and relatively quick. The appetizers were solid, we tried the Thai spiced calamari and a Caesar salad which we all got as part of our entree. When the main course came out I got a little bit worried. The majority of my company that evening had ordered the choice Angus top sirloin and when I saw the thin slices of steak unceremoniously plated on a barren white plate I found myself praying they wouldn't put one of those plates in front of me. Luckily my order, The "Delmonico" came out looking much more appetizing, (see photo). This steak blew my mind. I was not expecting much out of a Corpus Christi, but I have literally found myself thinking about this steak days after. It was a decently thick cut that was cooked perfectly medium rare, topped with an amazing rosemary gorgonzola compound. Despite my amazing experience with this steak, my coworkers reported that their steaks were not very good, with one friend even telling me his steak tasted "sour". I chose to take away a star on this rating for that reason but if you order the Delmonico I can confidently say you are in for a treat.
In my opinion they make the BEST piña coladas in town, very tasteful, and the toasted coconut shavings on top really make it taste even better. I ordered the grilled pork chops, amazing flavor, very juicy and tender, the mac and cheese very good and the Yukon gold mashed potatoes, very good. I ordered their new item on the menu, chips and queso, it was ok no complaints. The new sourdough bread that they started serving is very good as well. My girl ordered the salad with crispy chicken, she enjoyed her meal. We usually come here about 3 time's per month it's a very nice casual date place. I usually try to get different items on the menu. Oh I almost forgot, I also had the potato soup, I had a bowl because the cup of soup is not enough for me. This is one of the 2 places in town that make a great potato soup. We will be back again.
Food is always great here. Steak, chicken, pork chops, salad, it's all delicious. This is one of my favorite spots in town. We ordered a brownie for dessert our last visit. It's was HUGE and amazing. It could feed 8! The service is so so as usual. The waiter wouldn't picked up our empty dishes. With a group of 5, refills, appetizers and sides, there was hardly room at the table to eat. I had to start moving the empty dishes to empty tables, probably rude but hopefully he got the hint we still tipped well. $160 for 5 people, entrees, 2 appetizers, 1 dessert and 4 teas.
My husband and I went in to celebrate our 9th anniversary. Neither of us had ever eaten here before but heard very good things about the food. I ordered the baked potato soup, 6 ounce sirloin with grilled shrimp, and an amaretto sour to drink. My husband ordered the steak chili, 8 ounce sirloin with quail, and a Miller Lite to drink. As a side I had the corn and he had the broccoli. Everything was very good. Our waiter was kind and brought out our bread and food fairly quickly. The only reason I didn't give the review 5 stars is because we both ordered our steak medium rare but my steak was over cooked. It was still good but my husband's was better because it was cooked to perfection. The meal wasn't over priced for the quality. We will most likely be back for another special occasion.

Good quality prime rib. Perfect martini. Friendly waitress. Not too loud or crowded on a Friday night. Casual dress code.
Decent food, but nothing to write home about. If you are in the area and not necessarily in the mood for the usual seafood places or if you want a good steak, then Niko's is one option. And if you are looking for a happy hour with great prices and variety, then you will definitely want to give Niko's a try.
I would rate this place that a 3 1/2 star, it was pretty decent. I started off with a Caesar salad which tasted much like a premade Caesar dressing, but the leafy greens were fresh. Then had lobster bisque which was very good, buttery flavor with a lot of lobster chunks floating in it would highly recommend that. Had the blackened 12 ounce ribeye and it was tender but not quite as bold on the flavor as I thought it would be.
The lobster appetizer was so good. The rest of the meal was also good just not spectacular. There is like a Smokey flavor to the steak that I am not fully into. Broccoli came pretty raw and when I asked for it to be cooked more it was only just heated up in the microwave which obviously did not fix the problem. I would go back for drinks and apps.
So all the staff were nice, the food was great. We had a really nice dinner and experience. The flaw and reason for the 3 star is when it came to the bill and how they figure the tip % and total down at the bottom. You know the area they have to try and make it "easier" on the customer, we'll I now think of that as "try and get one over on you" area. So you can see the picture, and 18% of $124.43 is not $24.02, and 22% is not $29.35. No matter how you look at this bill, they are overcharging you. So be sure to check everything.
I had $28 prime rib that was pre-portioned and cooked in a bag. The au jus was powdered beef base that was way too salty.
The atmosphere was nice, the service solid(a little slow at times). The appetizers were great we had the crab stack at the potato boats. My wife's chicken was excellent.. my steak was undercooked (as seen in the photo. I requested medium which we all know is a warm pink center. The was rare-medium rare at best.. this being my birthday dinner decision and know how they would just throw it back in the fire for a few minutes I just bit my tongue and ate the steak.. I will say the flavor and seasoning were excellent, the consistency is what was lacking to my preference
The service sucked restaurant wasn’t even busy! Brought family in on a Monday. The chili was scorched chicken fried chicken was good tho. Customer service needs attention waited for over 10 minutes just to get service. Don’t know if they will continue to get my business. Hope customer service improves.
I rarely post negative reviews. But, to begin, there was a cockroach behind the host, who he stepped on and crushed after we told him. The food is meh. The only good dish was the lobster dip. The “chicken and shrooms” tasted like a dirty grill. The mashed potatoes tasted horrible and were too salty. The mac n cheese tasted just like instant Kraft mac n cheese. On the other hand, the $3 margaritas were delicious!!
I love this place normally but too many times I have come lately and it’s as though I’m eating in the freezing hospital. Food gets cold within three bites. The steaks are over salted and over cooked. I refuse returning food because can’t trust anyone. People let’s face it, it’s corpus. If you like cold food go for it and being cold outside only to go back into the cold that place is for you.
Food was not good I had stuffed flounder it was a little fishy but thought it maybe just me. Shrimp was stuffed as well and it was fishy. Boneless buffalo wings were great. Now to service I wish I could give more stars but unfortunately she was terrible never asked us how food was she seemed a little aggravated. I am not sure if we caught them on bad night. My mom mentioned about the fishy taste and her response was sorry walked off.
We tried to use the bday email that was sent after our last visit since I am on the mailing list.We were unable to use it per the manager through the waiter that Niko do not honor the free email! The manager did not come to the table! The waiter was excellent and the food was 5 star! We live in Houston
We went to celebrate our son’s birthday. He wanted to enjoy a good steak, which he stated it was great tasting. The food was not spectacular but good. I thought or perceived this place was going to be expensive but it has decent prices. The service is mediocre, the waiters more attentive to other tables. He forgot our salad, we had to ask for it. No pictures of food were taken except for the key lime pie.
A little disappointing. Hostess threw the menus on the the table while saying "enjoy". We asked for different seating than initially offered. My sirloin steak was dry, despite being medium rare. My wife's stuffed shrimp was not well liked. The flavor just wasn't there. Each dish looked delicious however was not equal in taste. Not a favorite stop.
We have been patrons for years. Lately the quality has declined a bit. The stuffed flounder should be taken off the menu. It does not look appealing , the stuffing has the consistency of a of a puree, the flour der tastes frozen and the sauce is green and overpowering. The asparagus used to be grilled now it is steamed a d flavorless. Prime rib is pale and becomes cold after about 10 minutes
Server was great, attentive and courteous. Food: greens beans with tomato overcooked swimming in a pool of oil (preferred sauted or steamed), salmon was bland, mashed potato is crusty must be sitting in a heat lamp, chocolate molten lava cake-bottom cake taste raw very doughwy, cheesecake was a round shape looks homemade by a kid (to go order). This wasn’t my first time here. Haven’t been here in a long time because of my first experience with their food a while back. I only came here because I got a gift card.
Excited to try this place out. I spent 1 1/2 hour there. I’m from Georgia. Male bartender was not happy with life. No big deal for me. I had 2 cocktails (very delicious) . Female bartender was super extra, and very friendly . Food was super MEH. In my opinion I spent $80 for not the best experience.

Do not get the chicken or hamburger steak! Both were so tough and did not enjoy. Also, the salad was very watery. I think the dressing was watered down. What a shame!

showed up and was told I would have a 35 to 45 minute wait... despite the restaurant being at about 15%... no worries. Wasn't in a hurry. Enjoyed visiting with my company outside. Was quickly seated and noticed virtually the entire half of the building was empty. I don't know how this restaurant can smell so good from the outside yet serve the most bland boring food I've ever eaten. Appetizers were incredibly disappointing. Caesar salad was good, lettuce was nowhere near crisp but what do you expect for 9:00 PM on a Tuesday. Ribeye tasted like it was cooked on an electric stove element with a splash of liquid smoke. The parts that didn't taste like crunchy black char... had an acrid artificial smoke flavor. Waitress and trainee poured a beer at our table and overflowed it. Let beer pour down the table on one of the chairs and then onto the floor... And left it there. Stop coming here over 10 years ago because they couldn't cook a steak. I see nothing has changed.
We sat at our table for over 10-15 min with no word or the slightest acknowledgment from anyone. Once our waiter was finally there, I asked for a drink menu since they have a sign for $4 drinks (looks like martinis?) on wednesdays to just be rudely told that they don’t have a drink menu other than wine and couldn’t tell me anything about what the special was for. i ended up ordering pineapple juice with coconut rum, just to receive what was the equivalent to a thick, pineapple syrup. nasty. we ordered chips and queso as well as the mozzarella sticks, just for the queso to be half melted velveeta with rotel on top and chips that are harder than a rock. legitimately thought i broke a tooth on them. the mozzarella sticks were cooked way too high that the cheese had literally MELTED out and the shell only contained oil/grease from what they were cooked in. We both ordered steaks which ended up being our saving grace but the rest of the food was damn near appalling. even ordered dessert because it hard to mess up sweats but my cheesecake was LUMPY and his molten lava cake wasn’t even relatively close to actual cake whatsoever. also apparently you’re supposed to get bread when you sit down but that wasn’t a thing for us?? the tables around us did. so long story short, the staff was rude and the food was not great by the least. wouldn’t recommend.
We have eaten here several times and have been happy with the food, service and atmosphere. However this time we got our meals to go. It was packaged in a way that was impossible to check prior to getting home. Once home we found the order was not at all what we expected. Items were missing and items we didn’t order were included, like two containers of corn, we didn’t order corn and the lobster dip was missing completely (it was like we received the wrong order). Also the serving size was disappointing, we ordered a shrimp cocktail dish, it came in a styrofoam cup like a coffee cup. We called management and complained. His response was extremely disappointing. No apology, nothing. He said if we brought the chicken fried steak back (to prove he hadn’t eaten it) he’d replace it. We said no we’re not eating part of our meal, while hot then returning for the remaining order to eat afterwards, we want the entire order replaced and we will return the entire order not just the steak. After getting off the phone we were so upset with the treatment that we called back said forget replacing the order we’ve lost our appetite and we just want our money back and we will return all the food. His response was he’d take care of it. Our order was around $45.00 which we paid for with a bank card. I kept an eye on my account expecting to see that amount returned to my account. Instead as of this morning I see the original amount removed and a new charge of $19.00 in it place. I hope the manager and the restaurant enjoy the $19 bucks because it’s the last penny they will ever get from me. Lots of restaurants in the South Bend area, I will not be choosing yours in the future.
The only reason why I'm giving stars is because the hostess and the waitstaff were very kind. Shout out to Lilith and David for taking GREAT care of my family and me. The ambience was really chill and quiet...there was barely any people there, but now I see why. The food wasn't the best. Most of our meals were either cold or salty including the Caesar salad, the rice pilaf, and the Mac and Cheese. Below are the individual ratings per item: *Bread: 5/5 *Chicken Avocado Salad: 4/5 *Pork Chop: 5/5 *Chicken Acapulco: 2/5 - very salty *Margarita Grilled Chicken: 4/5 *Steak Burger: 4.5/5 *Mesquite Grilled Shrimp: 2/5 - overcooked *House Salad: 5/5 *Caesar Salad: 0/5 - drenched in salty dressing and cheese *Mashed Potatoes w/ Brown Gravy: 2/5 *Corn: 5/5 *Fries: 4/5 *Mac N' Cheese: 0/5 - it was very salty and watery *Rice Pilaf: 0/5

Food is at best average. Service is at best sub standard. Worst part is the prices are extortion-level. The only 5-star about this place is the hassle.
Service level most definitely seems to change according to ethnicity of the patrons from my experience. Been by myself and with a group from work with no issue but things seemed to change when dining with spouse as an inter-racial couple.
One Star (would give zero if I could) Absolutely disgusting experience. This place is roach infested — we literally saw one crawling across the floor while we were waiting forever for our food. When it finally arrived, it was basically raw. Not rare. Not undercooked. Raw. We informed our waitress of the flying roach. And the RAW food. The manager never even bothered to come to our table. When we brought up the roach situation, his response was: “If it’s a small one it’s from inside, if it’s a big one then it’s from outside.” Seriously?! That’s your explanation? No apology, no accountability, nothing. As for the raw food, his response to that was that they are allowed to serve the salmon sushi style and that is why it’s raw. Excuse me?! The description in the menu says the salmon is supposed to be GRILLED NOT RAW. After we left I had terrible stomach pain and vomited profusely due to the raw food. Do NOT go here unless you enjoy terrible management, roaches running around the dining area, and waiting an hour for raw food. I will be contacting the health department. This place should not be operating.
Just left restaurant on 1/13/26 7pm after finding strips of plastic with meal. If that wasn't enough a roach was in our kids pasta. What is going on? Spoke with Victor who was management verified both items.
I ordered the potato soup, but it was spoiled. I called to inform the manager, and after being placed on hold for over 25 minutes, I was told the manager was too busy to take the call. The staff showed no concern about the fact that they were serving spoiled food. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about food safety and customer care.
I arrived at Nikos Steakhouse at 7:30 PM, and the experience went downhill almost immediately. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt disorganized and unwelcoming. The manager, Kepp, told us there was a 45-minute wait. We noticed several open seats at the bar and asked if we could sit there and order instead. He told us it would still be a 45-minute wait and made it very clear—through his tone and attitude—that he simply wanted us to leave. Kepp was dismissive and visibly irritated, showing no interest in helping guests or managing the restaurant. His behavior made us feel like an inconvenience rather than paying customers. We ended up sitting at the bar anyway and ordered drinks and food. The bartender was the complete opposite—attentive, professional, and eager to help. He quickly brought our drinks, my salad, and my two friends’ soups. Unfortunately, that’s where the service completely fell apart. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, we waited over two hours for our steaks. When we finally told the bartender we were tired of waiting and ready to leave, he went to the back to check on our order—and less than two minutes later, the food suddenly appeared. Convenient timing. It was 9:45 and our food was finally served. The steaks were cold and unsatisfying. My friends are considering taking their steaks home and microwaving them. My two friends asked for a manager and sent their steaks back. I was so hungry at that point that I just ate mine, but honestly, I would’ve eaten a hot pocket at that point- it wasn’t what a Medium rare steak should’ve been. But I was willing to pay for my food. On the other hand we assumed the bill would be adjusted accordingly. Instead, we were initially charged for the entire order, including the meals that were sent back and not eaten. My friends had to complain again before the bill was finally corrected to remove their meals, leaving only mine—which I did eat. What made this even more frustrating was watching people sitting next to us and across the bar receive their meals, eat, and leave before we even started asking to cancel our order. It genuinely felt like we were being ignored—or worse, intentionally delayed. Maybe Kepp just had it out for us. Who knows. What I do know is that we won’t be returning to Nikos Steakhouse, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone—not even someone I dislike.
Arrived at 6:30 on Friday night, lots of empty seats and I know why..15-20 minute wait for cocktail, appetizer arrived quickly and at least 45 minute wait to get dinner (still lots of empty seats). Ordered a NY Strip and it looked like a Ribeye. So called strip was maybe 1/2 thick with lots of fat. What I still don’t understand is how people showed up later and got dinner before ours. Server said it was kitchen, who knows and who cares…Nikos use to be a top notch restaurant and customers dressed appropriately, that went out the door also. Don’t wear T-Shirts and flip flops to a so called upper scale steakhouse. I won’t be back and from the looks of it last night I’m not the only one that feels this way.
If zero was an option then that is what I would choose. We visit this establishment often with big parties and have never had the experience we did last night. The so called manager (older bald guy) was the most unprofessional manager I’ve ever encountered. Being a manager myself for many years, I was shocked at this man’s behavior. The owner really needs to invest into training employees properly. We waited over a hour to be seated and was quoted a max wait time of 45 mins. I know things happen but the communication and responses from their employees is was floored me. There were SEVEN hostess standing around greeting people very poorly. One told me “sup” another told me “you can see the table yourself “ as if I was supposed to read minds and know that the tables they were “getting ready” were empty for at least 25 mins. Then the manager came out very aggressive and unapologetic to why our party was frustrated. He didn’t have the simple and very 1st skill of being of manager which is to listen!! Instead he talked over me, and contradicted what his employees were telling the waiting parties. So terrible communication from the hostess all the way to the manager. It’s clear the staff mimics the bad behavior showed by their leader. Very unfortunate and unprofessional. I highly recommend to choose a different restaurant for large parties.
They evidently don’t serve bread unless one orders soup or salad though waitress never said such but manager did when I called following day as it was way too crowded to wait for a manager the night before Also we additionally had a to go order When we got home homebound relative that has difficulties getting around and asked to get her a to go order as she has had the pepper corn steak there before and said there was no bread and the peppercorn sauce was missing and that is why she wanted something from Niki’s in the first place We have never ate at a place that serves steaks limit bread to customers and by limit I am saying no bread except with soup or salad When I called and asked to speak to manager the next day well his attitude was about the same as the waitress the night before This was first and probably last visit to Nikos and even with all of this we left a tip as we recognize folks are working for tips Very disappointing and when visiting Corpus Christi if one is looking for a good steak restaurant go to Saltgrass or Water Street or U&I or Longhorn or Flame or Landrys as we have always had quality food and good service from these other restaurants there without an attitude from the management

Niko's Steakhouse: Where Corpus Christi's Chicken Craze Begins
There are some places in Corpus Christi that just get it right, and Niko's Steakhouse is absolutely one of them. Nestled right here in our vibrant city, it's quickly become a spot I’m eager to tell my friends about, especially when they ask for a recommendation for a truly special meal out. From the moment you step inside, you can tell Niko's operates on a different level. The restaurant itself is impeccably clean – a detail that always speaks volumes to me – and the atmosphere is wonderfully...
Niko's Steakhouse: Corpus Christi's Spot for Savory Steaks and Standout Service
There are some places in Corpus Christi that just feel like home, and Niko's Steakhouse often comes to mind. It's a spot where many of us have gathered with family and friends for years, creating memories over good food. From what I’ve heard, and experienced through others, it’s the kind of place that can truly shine, especially when the stars align with both the kitchen and the front of house.Let's talk about the service, because when it's good at Niko's, it's really something special.
