Got a ham and cheese on the roll with lettuce tomato and pickles. Best sandwich I had in years.
After a long flight into NY, I had to grab my favourite Cuban. Black iced coffee oddly went perfectly with every bite as well.
This place is a pretty cozzy gem. I ordered the breakfast platter and a tea, and everything was delicious. The food was fresh, well seasoned, and honestly hit the spot. My tea was perfect and exactly what I needed that morning. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.Definitely a spot I’d return to. I Highly recommend!

A great spot to enjoy a coffee. Germans in particular seem to love grabbing a seat by the window so they can look out onto the street and security personal. By the way, if you have enough luck you can find Fabio between 6am and 7am there.
Can make a great salad with lots of flavor and not your typical deli ingredients. Also love the sandwich that comes with apple and Brie. Everyone working is really nice and the menu is expansive but never had anything bad on it. They also sell some snacks and basics. Love this spot!
There’s nothing like starting the morning in NYC with a perfect bacon egg and cheese or bagel with a deli coffee - classics that Cafe Lafayette has mastered and can set up this New Yorker for the day ahead. Great range of delicious sandwiches and salads for a hearty lunch too. As reliable as the eats are the exceptionally friendly service and staff that make my routine visits enjoyable!
I regret not reviewing sooner. I absolutely love this place. The staff are all super friendly. They get to know their customers, many times when I walk in they immediately start working on my order. In fairness I am a creature of habit, so my order is almost always the same. The prices are reasonable considering this is located in manhattan. My favorite is the iced coffee, they make a really good iced coffee! I highly recommend this place!
Attentive service, delicious food and good cocktails. I ordered a burger. Delicious! The fries were addictive. The fettuccini is also quite savory. I enjoyed my salad. The penicillin cocktails are top notch. I did try the rolly (round) croissant. It was good, but not worth the $10. To skip the lines, go at night.
If you are looking down your nose in search of a Michelin star, keep walking. If you want a fresh and tasty classic NYC deli breakfast or lunch - Cafe Lafayette is your place. Great daily specials. Custom salads and fresh-made juice! Super nice folks too. They also sell convenience items like snacks, paper towels, trash bags and soap.
My friend Adam didn't get my other friend stav a sandwich and they fought over it.
There are places to sit, a LOT of meal choices, coffees, drinks and even some home and grocery goods. The cooks are great, super fast! The iced coffees are delicious. It’s warm inside and you can pay by card! I recommend to everyone ! Fresh and delicious breakfast and lunch!
My husband works in the area so I drove in with him cuz of festival. We stopped here to grab a bite but he goes here alot. I had to use the bathroom, omg, I was amazed how clean it was. You know what they say, if the bathroom is clean, then it's a good place. That will be my #1 place in the area. And the burger & fries was good too.
I am so glad to hear that this place has reopened. I don't know why it even closed in the first place. I'm looking forward to going there again. I LOVE the rack of lamb, and I love the cheeseburger, and I most definitely love the price. The only thing I don't love is how insanely tiny the place is, but I guess that's just New York for you.
Solid pesto chicken panini and generous portions! Great place for take out or a quick bite to eat. Friendly service too!

Small portions, warm coffee, and clingy service that tries to move you along at brunch.

Egg whites and turkey bacon $8.25 how ridiculous is that! This place is super overpriced and truly not that great only come here because its close to work to get quick bite but No More....the one thing I will miss are thier freshly juiced fruit smoothies😔. Beware of prices and also if paying with card you will be charged 3% extra on top of taxes. Absolutely absurd and unfortunate.

Don’t come here for bacon egg and cheese; probs worst bacon egg and cheese I’ve had on all my years I’ve been on this earth. Asked for turkey bacon well done they, pretty sure they fried it because it had no more flavor. I was charged 8.65 for the sandwich. Felt like it had half an egg in it. The sandwich was made for a chihuahua tbh. Not enough egg or ketchup up or cheese. Bread was also thin and dry. Place felt stingy with the basics. Not worth the money.
Although the place is well maintaned, the food is overpriced. I paid $6.50 for bacon and egg on a toast, and coffee. $4.75 for the sandwich and $1.75 for a small coffee. I wouldn't mind the high price, however the coffee is a commercial coffee, you will get a better tasting coffee from the street vendors for $1.00, the sandwich consisted of two slices of bacon and a half egg. I guess they just concern about making money, then serving a regular portion. I Will rather walk a couple of blocks to "Civic Deli" on worth st, between Lafayette & Broadway to get my money's worth.

three times this happened. the cooks besides taking their sweet time to complete my order while promptly helping others took mine directly to the cashier. they casually give other customers theirs to take themselves to pay. i didn't realize until i asked for my order after seeing countless customers receiving theirs and was told rudely that it was at the cashier. i didn't even notice when that happened because i was expecting to receive and take it myself like everyone else. the last time this was done was in March of this year and that's when i told them they can eat the order themselves. it was insulting and hamulating. i guess its because I'm black i probably was going to ran out with a cheese sandwich while wearing dress shoes & a shirt with a tie. the cooks are both Hispanics and the cashier is Asian. its obviously a business policy because the Asian cashier had nothing to say. talk about the irony. if you are black and patronize this establishment pay attention because I'm sure I'm not the only one this happened to. b.t.w I'm a very polite and patient individual.
They overcharge you when using a card. The register says one thing and when you ask for the receipt you are charged more. I will definitely notify the commerce.
