We came to the restaurant for Christmas lunch. Good thing was that we had reservation, otherwise it was 1.5-2 hours waiting (many people in line gave up and left). Its Peking duck was decent and tasty. We enjoyed it most as well as the chicken feet, Hakao, and Suimai. Sesame balls were a bit disappointed because its filling wasn’t sesame but taro or something like that. Anyway, we enjoyed the food a lot. The service was good in general. A lady provided us a pot of hot water to lighten the tea without our request because we couldn’t take strong tea. She was so thoughtful❤️. However, I asked for chilly sauce but it has never come.😅😅 The restaurant is on the Main Street in Cupertino. It is now easy to park as a big parking garage was built. But, this location of the restaurant was smaller than I thought it would be. Anyway, it was nice dining experience. We would go again for its Peking duck😋😋
I had a great dining experience at Koi Palace Contempo. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared, and the service truly stood out. Tony provided excellent service and warm hospitality, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. My favorites were the unagi sticky rice lotus wrap and the seafood dumplings--both were flavorful and memorable. The Peking duck is also a must-order and one of my favorites. I have been going to Koi Palace in Daly City growing up and it always delivers! Overall, a fantastic spot for high-quality food and outstanding service. Highly recommend! I will be always coming back when I want elevated dim sum experience and also for Tony's wonderful customer service!
Koi Palace Contempo is a delightful twist on the classic Koi Palace experience. While it shares the same high-quality standards, it's not your traditional dim sum spot. In fact, their menu is about 99% different and focuses more on entrees than dim sum! I've visited multiple times for lunch, so I can't speak to their dinner offerings, but here's what I can tell you: If you're planning to come, try to arrive before 12 PM to beat the lunch rush, as it can get busy. Their menu features unique items you won't typically find at other places. Some of my favorites include: * Ikura dumplings * Scallop sui mai * Lobster shrimp dumplings * Pineapple buns with butter They do have a small selection of dim sum items, but the real highlight here is their extensive menu, offering something for everyone. Bonus points for convenience! There's a large public parking lot right across from the restaurant, so parking is a breeze. If you're looking for a modern Chinese dining experience with creative and unique dishes, Koi Palace Contempo is definitely worth a visit.
Great location and easy parking across the street. Beautifully decorated with two indoor sitting and outdoor seating as well. The dishes are freshly prepared with authentic flavors. My favorite dishes included lobster and rice cakes, Peking ducks with pancakes, salt and pepper pork chops, sauteed string beans, steamed red dragon fish and all the dim sum dishes. Even the free salted peanuts are delicious. Come and enjoy
Everything was absolutely delicious, from the freshly steamed dumplings to the crispy roasted duck and fluffy buns. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere made it perfect for sharing food with friends. Definitely one of the best dim sum experiences I’ve had lately! can’t wait to come back! 🥢💛
I had an amazing experience at this Cantonese restaurant. The food is authentic and flavorful – especially the roast duck and dim sum, which were cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready with great recommendations. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone who loves real Cantonese food!
Food was good. They have some veggie options too. The kitchen closes early though. The service was a miss. They wouldn't give us more peanuts even when we were ready to pay for them. We would have received more peanuts if we all sat at different tables. Strange.
Tried this place for the first time and really enjoyed the service, and the food. The pictured dish is the Taro Paste Stuffed with Prawn. The taro was flavorful, the minced meat mixture was well-seasoned and the half prawn in there topped it off nicely. The other highlight was the Yuba Roll in Supreme Roll (a must try!) The service was wonderful - thank you May! Will definitely be back!
A fantastic spot for gathering with friends, chitchatting, and enjoying authentic flavors that instantly transport you back to Guangzhou. You'll definitely want to come back for more!
I had a fantastic dim sum experience here! Every dish was delicious — from the savory stir-fried rice noodles with tender beef to the comforting bowl of congee. The dim sum in the bamboo steamers was fresh and flavorful, and the variety made the meal exciting from start to finish. The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and relaxing, making it a perfect place to enjoy a traditional Cantonese breakfast. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic and well-prepared dim sum.
We celebrated Mother’s Day at the Koi Palace, Cupertino Main Street, great place to go with either a couple of friends or having a big family get together. We had 10 people, and the other families at other tables had at least 12 or more. We all loved the food, and had a great Mother’s Day dinner. All the dishes were delicious, “A picture is worth a thousand words”. How true! Even though the restaurant was fully booked but the dishes came out quickly. The service was great. A true Five-Star restaurant. The Apple wood smoked Peking duck was very well prepared. Luckily they had the roasted pork with jelly fish available that day. The har how and fish dishes were not pictured due to we were too busy eating them. It was a live fish bones cooked in soup and the body of the fish were stirred fried, the best was the soup came in a huge pot and the soup was so delicious, that we took the rest home. Great place!

Such a beautiful place with nicely presented food! The staff really took good care of us, and the restaurant felt cleaner and quieter than other locations. Prices are about the same as other Koi Palace restaurants, and the food tastes good! The servers were super friendly and sweet. Definitely coming back. Love it!
Celebrated CNY with friends and we were a party of 10. Our reservation was at 5:30pm and due to slow service and dish mix up, we left the restaurant 3 hours later. Food was delicious and portions were generous, although on the pricey side for a Chinese restaurant. But overall a pleasant dining experience.
The first week of Chinese New Year celebrations, and service were adequate, although the dishes took a bit longer than usual to come out. Beef dish: beef was tender. Will order again. Lobster noodle: noodle was $10 and lobster was $36/lb. There were more noodle than lobster. Need to request a 3lbs lobster next time. Steamed fish was good and would be better if there was more soy sauce. Love the fried crispy fried fish skin. Overall a good dining experience.
Koi palace is an excellent choice for authentic and delicious Chinese food. The lobster with noodles is a standout — fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The Peking duck is also a highlight, with crispy skin and rich flavor. Every dish is well-prepared. While it is a bit on the pricey side, the quality and taste make it worth the splurge. A great spot for a special meal or when you want to treat yourself or friends to some of the best Chinese cuisine in the area.
Food is okay. Service is pretty good, fast service, fast seated if you made reservations. Pan seared soup pork dumping - it’s more like soup dumpling but thicker skin. Not recommended. Shrimp rice crepe - crepe skin is a little thick Crispy durian puff and swan pastry with taro filling - I prefer the black swan, but if you like durian worth to try durian puff(not too sweet) Wasabi walnut prawns - good, but coat could be more crispy and less thick Almond garlic wagyu beef cubes - way too many veggies, but taste good Scallop over pea shoot tendrils - salt was spread evenly :( some bite is salty than others. Overall, good experience!

The food rundown: - BBQ pork puff pastry: the pork filling could be more flavorful while the puff pastry itself less sweet. - Spareribs: tasty - fried tofu: tasty - lobster noodles: tasty - bean curd skin rolls: a little too salty - swan durian puffs: very disappointing, lacking the pronounced durian taste that durian puffs are supposed to have. Overall, I won’t miss the food. The place seems newly renovated though and is clean and cute. All the food added up to $131. Note service fee is automatically added so don’t accidentally double tip.

Recently went there, for the second time. Food was delicious (as was last time). Service left a lot to be desired, unfortunately. Staff was curt when we asked for our dim sum to be cut, we had to get our own sauces, and we had to get up and ask a busser for water (since we never could get the wait staff's attention to ask them). Maybe they were grumpy because they were busy. So, if the poor service doesn't bother you, the dim sum really is good!
This Hong Kong–style dim dum place was really disappointing. The fried rice was overly salty and lacked flavor, the roast duck wasn’t properly deboned so you couldn’t wrap it in a pancake without getting stabbed by bones (duck skin is also too dry), and the shrimp dumplings were all stuck together—every piece tore as soon as you picked it up. $60+/person after tax, It is definitely not worth the price. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is even just a little bit serious with their food.
Worst dining experience. Servers are disrespectful and I had to wait for this plain, nothing special Chow men for 1 hour. I tried to reach out to the server, but they ignored or spoke to me in Chinese that I couldn't understand. And this place was very dirty too. They stacked other customers finished dishes right next to my table. Disgusting. I won't visit this place again. I don't usually write a bad review but I feel that I should write something to this place. Horrible dining experience at all.
⭐ 1-Star Review (Warning about cleanliness) I ordered lobster at this restaurant and was very disappointed. When I started eating, I found several black hair-like strands stuck on the lobster meat, especially near the legs and head. I took photos as proof. When I informed the staff, they said “maybe the lobster ate something,” which didn’t make sense at all. The black strands clearly looked like human hair, not something from the lobster. This is very unhygienic and made me lose my appetite. The restaurant should take food safety more seriously and handle customer complaints properly. I’m sharing this review to warn others to check their food carefully before eating.
I have been a fan of this place for many years and this was my go to place for dim sum. The food quality and services have gone really downhill and this is what I got for ordering a baked fish fillet and pork with white cream and tomato sauce to go. There’s absolutely no sauce with just fried fish and rice..I will not be going back.
