My parents and i recently visited this Wei’s fish and was blown away by the overall experience. First of all, they offer unlimited free rice—such a great deal! The place is very clean and grease-free. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. Location-wise, it’s convenient and easy to get to. Most importantly, the value for money is incredible. The food is tasty and well-prepared—definitely great quality for the price. At this price point, what more could you ask for? Highly recommended!
We came in on a Tuesday night at 7:30pm, and there was no wait. Parking was easy, too. Their QR code/mobile ordering system is straightforward. My cousin got their signature suancai & snakehead (small) and I got the green Sichuan pepper soup. Most dishes come with 1 rice included and a choice of 2 sides (except their signature dish). Both dishes were super flavorful! We agreed neither of us had tasted anything like it before. The Sichuan peppercorn was super numbing - I think I'd prefer a less peppery dish next time, but it was still delicious. I had enough for leftovers, and we shared the brown sugar rice cakes, which were so good. For 2 people for two small mains and a dessert, the total was 57.06$ including tip. Service was fast and friendly! Definitely looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu.
The signature hot-oil Suancai fish is absolutely a must-try—rich, flavorful, and packed with just the right amount of heat. It’s one of those dishes you immediately want to recommend to everyone. Beyond the food, the service really stood out. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. It’s rare these days to find a place where the team seems truly happy to help, and it added a refreshing touch to the meal. Overall, great food, great people, and a spot I’d gladly visit again.
Wei's Fish has delicious sauerkraut Fish soup at a good price. They have both spicy and non-spicy options. Steamed rice comes included for free when you dine-in. One large fish soup is plenty for a family of 3. It is also kid-friendly with kids meals that have hot dog and spaghetti and they give younger ones a colorful pinwheel souvenir.
Really enjoyed dining at Fish With You in Cupertino! Their 热炝酸菜鱼 is absolutely amazing — hands down the most authentic flavor I’ve had since being in China. The broth is rich and tangy, with that perfect balance of sour and spicy, and the fish is super tender and fresh. It tastes just like the real thing back home. The restaurant is also conveniently located near where I live, Saratoga, so it’s definitely become one of my go-to spots. Highly recommend to anyone who loves authentic Sichuan-style fish dishes!
I always get the Green Sichuan Pepper Saurkraut Fish Soup (aka Signature Suancai & Fish) and it’s SO good. I’ve ordered for takeout and also had it delivered via DoorDash and the quality and flavor is great every time. I usually add the sweet potato glass noodles and wood ear mushrooms. Will definitely continue ordering from here!
I really like this hot pot–style fish soup! They offer two fish options: basa or snakehead. The snakehead is $2 extra per portion, but it tastes better. I ordered the fruit-infusion lemon flavor fish soup — non-spicy, slightly sour from the lemon, and really delicious!
The parking lot is large, but it’s almost always crowded, so there are usually only a few open spots. The pickled vegetable and fish dishes are the best items on the menu. I often get takeout from here as well.
Signature hot oil Suancai fish is highly recommended. The waiters are really nice and friendly. It was refreshing to see such great service!
If you love the Szechuan dish sauerkraut fish soup, then you must love this place. They have a very simple menu offering both the traditional spicy versions as well as tomato flavor version, in two sizes, with complimentary side dishes and unlimited refill of white rice, all at a very reasonable price. The food is great, service is fast, and the staff is friendly.
First time trying this place in the area and it did not disappoint! You can order via QR code and input your additions to the fish stew you want. The portion was very large and enough for 2 and the flavour was delicious.

Solid Szechuan fish soup at affordable price. We ordered the golden soup base with black fish and fried pork in tomato soup. Both dishes turned out tasty but could use more flavors. 4.5 out of 5 given pricing. All pots come with free side vegetables in the soup and free rice. No lines when we came in at 6:10pm for dinner.
We arrived for an early dinner at 5:45 PM with easy seating and parking available. Was seated quickly and ordered via QR code. We ordered the Large Old Pot Sauerkraut Fish ($27), which came quickly and was piping hot. Fish was tender, vegetables and other ingredients cooked well, very flavorful. They have varying levels of spice for different palates, but the single chili pepper soup was just right for us. Pretty reasonable price for two people in the Bay Area. Would recommend!
I got the beef spicy mix and it was really delicious! Spicy and fragrant and very well seasoned. Really nice assortment of ingredients, and everything was well cooked. The unlimited rice was a nice touch too, even tho I didn’t need it. Good price for the amount of food and I had enough leftover for lunch the next day.
As I drove up to the store on a weekday at 1:30pm, I wondered if I could ever find a parking spot in such a small strip mall which hosted 3-4 stores. It turned out exactly as I had predicted. After 3 rounds of circling around without any success, I opted for street parking in the residential area which was only 5 minutes of walking away. Maybe because it was off hours, the store was not crowded at all. I was promptly seated at a small table for one. The store looked neat and clean with cute decorations and logos of 2 fishes kissing each other. You could immediately tell fish dishes were the main focus of this store. The server quickly served me water and took my order. Normally you can order by scanning a QR code on the table, but the system was down today. After much debating, I chose the scallion sauerkraut fish soup, size small, with enoki mushrooms and lotus root slices as my complimentary side dishes. I didn't have to wait long when my order arrived, steaming hot with a cute bowl of white rice. The fish was so fresh and tasty!! I found the soup a bit oily to my taste but delicious regardless. All the ingredients were well cooked and complemented one another. The portion was generous. I couldn't finish all and had to have it to go. The store now allowed you to pack your rice as well. My overall bill is around $22 which is reasonable for lunch around Bay Area nowadays. Overall, I enjoyed my chosen dish and would come back with a big group so I might try out their different dishes and desert.

Their signature dish is the Hot Boiled Fish with pickles, offering various soup bases. The flavor is decent, not overly spicy. However, the wait time can be a bit lengthy, taking 30 minutes to fulfill our order.
Drove by this many times but first time to try. Very tasty. Portion was just right. Service was fast. Ordering is easy. Would go back and try the non spicy items.
Food came out very quickly and efficiently. Asked for less oily and less spicy, and the soup actually came out less oily. Fish was fresh and the price reflected the quality of the food. Would recommend
Many of my Taiwanese friends recommended it to me. This Boiled Fish with Pickled Cabbage and Chili is becoming increasingly popular. It has a scallion and tomato flavor but is not spicy. I personally don’t think it’s anything special. The fish slices are very soft and the soup is a bit sour because the pickled cabbage, good to eaten with white rice. Service is fast and friendly , but table so small and tiny . Price is very reasonable, 2 people $38 , one appetizer - deep fried chicken , 2 drink , one pot of fish .

Disappointing. Most of all they're stingy with fish. I only had a few small chunks of fish in my classic spicy. The flavor isn't bad but definitely below the bar I'm used to at legitimate Sichuan/Hunan restaurants. Finally the price isn't that great either for what you get (minimum small fish starts at 20 bucks, with the quality as described above). I'll only return if I have no other option for a quick fish dinner, otherwise easily find a much better place.
I would definitely try to get out of going to this place again. The food comes out cold and it is very not spicy, even the items marked with three chili peppers. There is not much flavor compared to the similar restaurants on Stevens Creek and De Anza, but I don't think I can name drop here. They had a lemon flavored fish soup that I wanted to try because it is very classic but unfortunately they were out. I do not recommend the tomato fish soup because boiled tomatoes have a sourness that ruins everything; ie: even the best of beef noodle soups! Most of the items are fish soup so there is no point of doing family style. There is a chili beef dish for variety.. However, we waited abnormally long for it, so long that the most patient people in our group were getting antsy. Eventually we had to tell them that they plumb forgot about our last dish. The duck blood is fine but very expensive for what it is and the portion was small, the typical size of what you would find at skewer places. The service is okay; no qualms here. They were efficient and even refilled our waters once. They also tried to help us figure out what was missing in our order. But this is not the type of restaurant where they ask how is the food, etc.

Flavour of Soup good, but they put way too much Salt ! It was awful & Salty ( next time tell them to put no salt). It is suppose to have SauerKraut but no Sauerkraut Flavour...instead too much Salt I cannot eat. There was alot of Fish ( plenty of Fish) but salty soup. My Dad said it is Ok. He like Salt but even he said it was too Salty. I would suggest go across street Ranch 99, Try the EAT Up next to CVS. If you go inside EAT Up they have Qing or Q Hot Pot with Sauerkraut Fish. The soup is 16.99 at EAT Up but 18.99 if you get Snake fish. But next time we will see if Eat UP has more sauerkraut flavour ( & less salty). Also, at Wei they did advertise the Sicuan Green Pepper with Sauerkraut at 17.99 but the picture include Green Hot Chili. When I got the soup, there were no Green Hot Chili pepper but only Sichuan and I dont really like Sichuan pepper, I only like the Green Chili as in the picture, so next time I will try EAT Up to see if they put more Sauerkraut or put less salt. The Service was really good & Guy tried to take our order even tho we were suppose to do it with QR code. So good Service but food is too Salty. Salty Soup. I never understand when restaurant put too much Salt. It ruin the soup.
I ordered around 11:30 a.m., but waited over an hour for takeout while most dine-in customers had already left. The staff kept making excuses for the delay, and the communication was very poor — I was even given inaccurate information. The female cashier was disrespectful when handling the situation. While the male cashier offered discount and tried to resolve the issue. But to make it worse, my Beef Spicy Mix didn’t come with sauce. Very disappointing experience overall.
