We came here to celebrate a professional achievement. It was the perfect place for that. Large tables with comfortable seating. Friendly and competent staff. Large menu with unusual options such as the Kim roll. Sit down restaurant that I recommend whole heartedly.
I’ve been trying different ramen spots locally, and this one fell short. The broth lacked richness and leaned too much on heat instead of real depth. For the price, it just was not worth it.
First and foremost the food was delicious per usual. I got the ramen and tempura jalapeños, the ramen was spicy and had so much flavoring I couldn’t stop eating. Everything was just so good. The staff was quick and there was no wait time, very friendly atmosphere.
First time visiting this place, and I’m really glad I stopped by! I came specifically to try the Miso Ramen, and it did not disappoint! It was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the toppings tied everything together perfectly. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was friendly and quick. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!
a quiet restaurant with great service and food. the specialty rolls we got were the perfect size and had so much flavor. the prices are reasonable for the amount youre getting too. came here on a Wednesday night and was sat immediately and didnt have to wait to have our drink order taken. menu has so many choices but not overwhelming. the strawberry nigori is a good choice.
Okay, stop the car! I have been to MANY Japanese Noodle houses, but I am so glad I found this place (our new forever Noodle house). The service is amazing. The prices are more than fair. The atmosphere is so comfortable and open... they even have TVs all around for sports lovers... It has such an upbeat environment! But best of all is (of course) the FOOD is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend Jikan Japanese Restaurant to everyone who loves great food coupled with fantastic service & prices. Our server was Stefan and he was so funny , humble & kind (but all the servers seemed amazing and kept checking on us throughout our entire meal!) I know you will love it as much as we did... Enjoy!
PHENOMENAL!!! I’m a FOODIE and very picky when it comes to sushi. We’re in town for work and found Jikan on Yelp…and WOW the reviews were SPOT ON!!! We ordered the gyoza and 3 rolls..the Sunkissed (add cream cheese), Jikan and J&J Honey and EVERYTHING was delicious!!! Our server MARIA was AMAZING!!! BEST FOOD AND SERVICE we’ve had in a while…and the Bruno Mars soundtrack made the experience even more enjoyable lol. Hands down MUST TRY!!! A+++
It's 10pm and you absolutely need a Spider Roll. Rolled up on this spot based on the reviews and was not disappointed. Miso soup was flavorful and delicious. Rainbow Roll was tasty with big pieces. Crunchy Roll lived up to expectations the Spider Roll was a delight. Service was on point and good music in the background.
One of my friends had been wanting to come to this place and since we were all craving some Japanese food, we decided to stop by. We were seated rather quickly and given plenty of time to look over the menu. For entrees, I went with their combination bento box option which included two items of my choice (I went with their sashimi and spicy tuna roll) and miso soup, salad, rice, one egg roll, one takoyaki, and two gyozas. Meanwhile, my friends chose the ramen combo and one of the rolls. Our waiter was relatively polite and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My miso soup arrived first, followed by the bento box without the two items I ordered. Next came one of my friends’ sushi roll, and then the ramen. The spicy tuna roll arrived soon after but the sashimi did take quite a bit of time. However, for a bento box, the quantity of the sashimi was a lot more than most other sushi restaurants. In conclusion, the food at this restaurant was quite delicious, the quality was excellent and service was good.
I can’t taste or smell too much, after I got COVID. Things I used to love don’t taste right anymore. So, it’s hard for me to enjoy food, but this place…THIS PLACE MAKES THE BEST SUSHI! It tastes so good! We had raw and cooked sushi. We didn’t get sick, were extremely satisfied with the portions, and the staff were amazing! It really “hit the spot.” I hope you get to enjoy it as much as we did.
Very good food and service. Great little hole in the wall, so maybe not great for large 8+ parties. But very good for up to groups of 4.
I am at the Ontario Airport and want to find some ramen to eat at 9ish and this restaurant came up. The ramen is pretty good. The broth is rich and I like the pork is seared. However, the egg is not marinated enough. The yellowtail is huge and I am glad I ordered it. Staff is okay. I might come back to try the rolls Also, their Kirin beer is only $3.99
The food here is great! It’s a great spot to go before a concert or game at the Toyota Arena. Service can be a little slow, especially when it comes time for dessert or the check. Overall it’s a great book for sushi on date night!
Came here for my post graduation dinner they were friendly and attentive though the front desk was a bit blunt when we were asking about if our table would be ready soon after waiting some time for our reservation. The food is good nothing out of the ordinary, I got the tonkotsu ramen it wasn't bad.
I am trying out the ramen restaurants in the area. Jikan was a disappointment. The broth(s) lacked a depth of flavor. I think they believe depth of flavor can be replaced by heat. It cannot. The base broth makes or breaks a bowl of soup. This is essentially an expensive bowl of soup that is not worth it. I make better at home.
Service and Ambiance: nice environment. BUT the service was just a bit too much… first, the east was a bit greasy and I needed to wipe it. Second, the water tasted like sanitizer (one did and one didn’t); third, they gave us the WRONG CHECK. (There were just 5 tables) Didn’t even deserve a tip. Food: on the other hand, their chef makes really good food though. The Wei roll was good but I hope the eel was not that sweet. The other 2 rolls are pretty good. Their jalapeño tempura is a must order!
Yeahhh the food was not it. I had the ramen since I usually find decent ramen and this place had great reviews on yelp. I don’t get it. Here’s what went wrong: Too many bean sprouts. I felt like I ordered a bowl of bean sprouts, not ramen. Literally had to dig for the noodles. The pork was horrible. It felt slimy and chewy, I couldn’t eat it all. The egg… was mediocre. And this is coming from a person whose favorite part of the meal is the egg. I’ve never had a bad egg in ramen until today. The flavor was bland and it was a little cold!?? Why was it cold?? Yeah no please don’t go here for ramen. I won’t be returning.
I really wanted to like this place. I just moved nearby and was looking for a new takeout spot and I have never had worst food. The ingredients were all so flavorless and not fresh at all. The rice in the rolls were overcooked and gummy. The deep fried California roll tasted like nothing was inside, I couldn’t taste anything but the glue like rice and it was not crispy at all. The udon was unremarkable and the salmon rice dish was no better. If I had sat down to eat, I would’ve sent everything back but I had to go home and realize I wasted my money on bad food.
