I go to LDU Dallas often, and have for several years The coffee is wonderful and their service and employees are excellent. LDU hires the best, most friendly people in the city. Love this place.....MG
I always order the same thing at coffee shops— an iced latte with oatmilk. This is one of the best ones I’ve ever had! They have the friendliest staff ever and the environment is so welcoming! If you’re looking to try out a new shop PLEASE consider this one! Thank you guys for everything y’all do!🫶 *also please note they do not have WiFi! And that’s ok! I’m sure you have WiFi at home, if not there’s like a million other places in the area that do.
Fantastic coffee (seriously). A free double shot, and they don’t turn the iPad around to ask for a tip? Is there a Michelin guide for coffee shops? Because this would be on it.
We have tried multiple coffees and sandwiches at LDU now and have been very impressed. We love their vanilla latte as well as a honey cinnamon latte with oat milk. The Yolk Oh O No sandwich is one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches. with the sun dried tomatoes being a great flavor add. Service was extremely kind when I went in and our orders were always prepared in a timely manner. Overall, I am a big fan of LDU and plan to come back.
We’ve been coming to this LDU location for several years, stopping in every time we’re in from out of town—usually about once a month. The folks here are truly some of the nicest you will ever meet. On top of that, they make the best cappuccinos and lattes in Dallas. You absolutely cannot go wrong giving them a try.
LDU Coffee is hands down my favorite coffee shop of all time, and that’s saying a lot considering I’ve been to over 80 coffee shops. From the moment you walk in, you feel the energy, hospitality, and rhythm that makes this place special. Josh and Ben are my go to baristas, they know their craft and their people. Whether it’s a simple black coffee or one of the artsy wishes like a latte or cortado, they always get it right. The quality is unmatched, and the consistency keeps me coming back. And a huge shoutout to Adam, one of the owners. Even in the middle of a rush, he still makes it a point to greet me by name and shake my hand. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare, and it’s what makes LDU stand out above the rest. It’s more than just coffee here, it’s community, connection, and quality all in one.
This place is my all time favorite coffee spot. What makes it better than the coffee is the service. The coffee is probably the best in Dallas for flavor. The service is top notch and on the weekends they have delicious pastries. I bring all my friends to this spot and no one has ever had a bad experience. They also are the only establishment that doesn’t force feed tips. If you want, you can tip through Venmo, which you may want to, because the people who work here are gems.
Ordered online for the first time a few days ago since I live over here now and have been trying to find a new go-to spot- LDU at n Fitzhugh is amazing!! Coffees great, service is amazing as they greet me every time by name even when ordering online and leave a cute little name card next to your online order. Inside is super cute as well! Have already been 3x this week and can’t recommend them enough!
A cute little coffee shop for the modern age. A limited syrup selection does make ordering simple, but the lack of options is mildly disappointing. We enjoyed a couple of iced vanilla lattes with oat milk. The espresso tasted fresh and of a quality bean. Great service and atmosphere! Will definitely be returning on my next trip into Downtown Dallas.
I love this place! I honestly try to stop by once a week since I moved to Dallas! Sorry I did not take a picture of my drinks or the amazing chocolate chip cookie I got! The staff here are super friendly! I mean actually super friendly! They even do this thing with putting your straw in your coffee for you! I will be updating this post soon with names of the staff & pictures of the drinks and that amazing chocolate chip cookie! *My only gripe would be that you’re not allowed to tip on your credit card*
I love coffee shops with character and this shop has plenty of it! Really cool vibes with a simple, yet unique, layout. Great staff who's very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The latte I got was great! Love the presentation and the flavor. Very smooth experience. One of the best lattes I've recently tried! Highly recommended! Great job y'all!
Loud music, small portions for prices. Wasteful double cups on hot drinks. Average experience. Worker was nice, all the entitled aloof millennials park in handicap parking spots, nobody seems to care.
The coffee shop has a really cute atmosphere, and the matcha was decent. My only disappointment was that there’s no Wi-Fi available, which makes it hard to stay and get any work done. It would be great if they offered it in the future. Overall, a nice spot, just not ideal for working or studying.
This was my go-to local coffee shop for two months. I loved the atmosphere and espresso. Wife and I spent $260 here over two months. I got the oat milk Cortado every visit. Espresso is good; however, the Cortado was inconsistent half the time I ordered it. Sometimes I would get 3oz or 4oz of total volume depending on who made the Cortado. It’s supposed to be 4 oz in total. On my last visit, the Cortado had under 3 oz of total volume. I finally decided to ask one of the employees if they could add 1 oz more oat milk so I could have an actual Cortado rather than what was essentially an espresso macchiato, especially since they charge $0.75 for oat milk. When I asked, the employee said she could add one more ounce of oat milk only if I paid an additional $0.75. I told her I already paid $0.75 for oat milk and that the drink was made incorrectly and that I did not want to drink it. She said the drink “looks fine” and denied helping. The whole interaction was terrible. Every other coffee shop I’ve been to has been more than willing to correct a drink or exchange it if it did not taste right or was made incorrectly. I’ve stopped going here unfortunately due to this interaction as I don’t want an inconsistent drink that I pay an extra $0.75 for oat milk and the employee embarrasses you in front of the community when you ask for them to make the drink correctly.
Nice little coffee shop, food tastes good. My main issue is the names they use for the coffee have no explanation of what they actually are "cowboy" and "deep space" doesn't tell my what kind of coffee I'm ordering and I don't want to hold up the line waiting for the barista to explain all the different "quirky" names. I thought I would skip the confusion and just ask for a mocha and the girl acted like she had no idea what that was and I had to explain what a mocha was.... Odd at a coffee shop
I actually enjoy LDU but this is ridiculous. Ordered a 16oz long black coffee and clarified I did not want room for anything else. When measured, it’s less than even 12oz. Why do they even offer 16oz if they’re not going to fill up the cup? This isn’t the first time getting a 16oz long black and getting cut short but this is the most egregious. Especially given it’s not a cheap coffee shop. Do better.
I have given LDU a few tries. Their iced coffee is horrible. It tasted off and a bit sour. Their hot lattes aren’t any better. I’m not big on sweet coffees either. Their morning glory cake is delicious though.
I found this place and quickly fell in love with it. However, one day I went in to order my usual, when I drove back to my job, I noticed that they had given me the wrong drink. I also noticed that I was shorted quite a bit on the drink. Went back the next morning to order my usual, and to let them know they had given me someone else's drink. The lady responded quite rude and said, "well I can't do anything about that because I don't know what you ordered". I then showed her my receipt, and she asked for someone else. The next lady then came and said, well, it looks like they gave you what you ordered "looking at your receipt". I then showed her the picture because I was surprised at how I was shorted on the drink. I told her, this is clearly not what I ordered. At that point, I felt they were not trying to correct their mistake. I canceled my new breakfast sandwich/ drink and walked out. It's unfortunate because I have partnered with this establishment in the past for our events..
