I was born and raised in Texas, and I know Texas barbecue. Sonny Bryan's is dead on good! The meal I had was catered for over 250 people. I have found that even the best of restaurants lose some quality during the catering process, not the case here! The meats were not dried out and were perfectly smoked. The sides were fabulous. If they were able to prepare all this food in advance then truck it 45 miles to serve remotely and be so good, I'm just going to have to try one of their restaurants!

I have found my BBQ Spot. And can stop at just that. The food was fresh, delicious and very surprising from a 24/7 location. Their fries beat anything I have been served in Texas and the BBQ is much better than the big place down the street. The service was decent and I was greeted when entering the business. The atmosphere was good and aging surprising. I had to pull to the side of the road and leave this review and save this location because I will be back soon and recommending them. Took a pic of the ribs and fries that were disappearing during the ride.

Visited for our first time while we were at Children’s. We’re so glad we did because it did not disappoint. The customer service, the taste, the amount of food, quality, was all really wonderful. We’ll definitely pop in again when we’re in the area! *PS the peach cobbler was still warm when we made it back. It was absolutely delicious & my favorite:)

Absolutely phenomenal ribs! The onion rings are pure fire too! Youve got to try this place! Boom! 5 stars! I got the brisket, turkey and ribs and WOW!

Very good service and a cool old school atmosphere. Came here today and was really excited. Pulled pork and sausage were delicious and to die for. Just being honest, brisket tasted a few days old and was very dry and leathery. Onion rings and fries and beans were tasty. I will definitely be back.

For BBQ, this is the place I go and have been a regular customer for 40 years, since 1985 when I moved to Dallas. Nothing fancy, charming school desks that are still there. It expanded for the better to accommodate more customers. BBQ sauce is delicious over everything, a little sweet/tangy. It goes well with all meats and on the widest and creespy onion rings, add a cold beer and is great eating. Roberto

I couldn't believe there was really a 24-hr BBQ place so I had to try. Brisket by weight is always a good sign. While the flavor was good, it was a little dry, and the bark was pretty underwhelming. The turkey was tender but wasn't squelchy. Bone only offered in half rack or more so no chance to try them. The BBQ sauce was kept warm, unusual but kinda nice. No collared greens. 4 stars is probably too low, but plenty of room for improvement so 5 starts would have been too high. Would visit again to try the ribs.

Came for Brisket Mac&cheese, but they didn't have one on the menu. So I went for the next best thing. BRISKET BAKE POTATO. First time trying them out. Not bad.. Not Bad, I must say. The staff is very cool and friendly. Customer service is 10/10. BakePotato 8/10. Prices are ok.. It's a little bit more than expected, but hey, this is 2025. Lol... I will come back. Brisket is pretty tasty. I wish the potato was Bigger.

Good barbecue with great selection of meats. The onion rings are delicious! They have ribs, smoked sausage, brisket and chicken. The potato salad was delicious. In inside of the restaurant was good southern Texas atmosphere

This place has been on my list since I saw it was open for 24/7 (I called and they said that they don't close) and to find a place like this in DFW metroplex was shocking so I had to try it out. For the price, you get some decent food. The pulled chicken, turkey and sliced brisket was juicy and tender. The fries were just fries can't go wrong. The beans and the onion rings were bland and lacked any real flavor I wouldn't recommend those. I would come back here for BBQ if it's late or in the general area.

I hadn't been to this BBQ house in about 15 years. It wasn't what I remembered. The BBQ was still good, but the meat was served cold. I wasn't too excited about that. They have homemade onion rings that are pretty good. It was a little expensive, but it was still good. There weren't many people there at the time because it was only about 11 am. The workers were fast and friendly and our food came out quick. Service was good. God bless.

*Please don’t judge my pictures, I was tired and hungry* So on my quest for the best BBQ in Dallas on a late night I found Sonny Bryan’s. The staff here were very friendly for it to be 11pm at night! Pricing was amazing because as we all know Texans are very proud of their BBQ! Now this was not the best BBQ I’ve ever had but it was also almost midnight also! Those world famous onion rings were just okay! The set up of this place was so cool! I feel like I might have enjoyed the food better if I had eaten inside the restaurant! Would I go back sure! It’s a 24/7 BBQ spot! How often do you see that! P.S I didn’t get my dinner rolls! Should have checked my bag before I left! 😂😂

I tried a few BBQ spots in my trip to Texas, and unfortunately Sonny Bryan's came in last place. It was not bad per say but not comparable to the other restaurants I tried. From my plate, the ribs were probably the best item. The brisket and the sausage really didn't impress me much. The sides were disappointing, especially the beans. I was expecting more from a restaurant with such an established history. The hours are convenient however as they run 24hrs, so if you need some authentic BBQ at night this is the go-to. The service was wonderful as well. They had a greeter who just sat by the entrance and warmly took care of customers as they came in. I really liked the vibe of the place, I just wish I liked the food as much.

First time was with a friend and she raved about how great it was, I didn't think so but only had a chopped beef sandwich, the next time I tried a plate and they had a special which wasn't told to me, but as I was checking out I saw the sign and they were nice and did change it. Still wasn't very impressed, portions are not big. I'm a ribs person and they are ok. Had the 3 meat plate today, had sliced brisket and it came with 2 tiny half slices and a some crumbles. Also had pulled chicken and it wasn't very good at all. Had 2 ribs and they were ok. Had French fries which were salty enough for my monthly salt intake. They were hot. Strike 3. Won't be back.

Store has a great old-school Texas BBQ vibe, but the food was extremely lacking. Half the brisket was juicy and delicious and the other half was dry and tough. The fries were good, but nothing to write home about and the beans were just plain fine. Feels like the legacy here has outlasted the quality.
