I went to Chicken Express today and ordered the 20 piece regular tenders with corn nuggets and biscuits. This place is becoming my fav yardbird place to eat. The tenders were moist with a great crust on them, the corn nuggets hit the spot too, and OMG don't even get me started on the biscuits. Chicken Express in Dayton, TX for the win!!

Always insanely slow, even with nobody in the drive thru. Not to mention the 3 extremely distinct red hairs I found in the dipping gravy.

Ordered 1 fish filet, 2 hushpuppies, mac and cheese, 2 legs and 1 biscuit. Fish, hushpuppies and biscuit was good. Mac and cheese was deplorable. Noodles were overcooked and mushy and not a good quality cheese sauce. I dislike the batter of the chicken. It was hot and fresh though. 9/13 tables were dirty with crumbs, trash, napkins, and utensils. Customer service was good. Sampled coleslaw which was good.

The service is lacking, they take way too long to have the food ready. It almost seems as though they prepare the chicken when ordered. There is never enough chicken ready and I usually have to choose a different option. They say the wait for chicken to fry is 15-20 minutes, then I wait in line at the drive through for 10-15 minutes and I get to the window and they say it'll be 15 minutes for the chicken to be ready because he's putting it down now. They must have bad management or not enough people frying chicken. They definitely have major issues. This place has had bad service for a few years now. Not having enough chicken that's ready to serve has been an ongoing problem with this place in Dayton. I do NOT recommend this place.

It was great besides the girl who took my order I think her name was Mariah was kinda snappy and like....when I walked in the bathroom I seen her putting frozen strips in her mouth....I think she has a problem...Worst part about it wasn't the fact they were frozen still it's the fact she had them laid in the floor in a heart shape....super unsanitary for one for two....😳😳 It was just really awkward when she made eye contact...but now I know why she was kinda snappy....she was hungry

This place grossed me out. I placed an online order in the middle of the afternoon and waited 30 minutes to go pick it up. When I arrived it hadn't even been started. While I waited I watched an employee drop a pair of tongs on the floor and when she picked them up, she put them immediately back in the food service area. No one took them away to be cleaned. Not a single kitchen employee was wearing food service gloves. This place gets a hard pass from me from now on.

One person can make a business look really bad. Placed an order online, once we arrived to pick up the order it still was not prepared. Moriah decided to argue with us about the order. They clearly did not want our business.

Ordered a to go order. I went through the drive thru. I was told I had to come in for pick up orders. I had to wait behind four other people who were ordering food. So it took awhile. I did ask about why I couldn’t have gotten my order from the drive thru because there was no one in line there the lady said everyone is required to come in that has an order. So I had to wait like 20 minutes for an order. Then I finally get my order and get home and it’s missing items. I won’t be back to this location.

Very rude manager. Missing our part or our order because they were out of something, they said they called but I didn’t get a phone call. So husband picked up order had to place another order for meal. He waited. He asked for drinks and they told him there wasn’t any drinks. He came back home with no drinks. I called up there’s and then they said there were drinks now but they couldn’t make it right and refund just the drinks. It’s wasn’t their job to give the drinks my husband should have known…even though it was in my online order. Another place in town going down hill. Over priced and crappy service.

Can't say much positive here, I ordered 2 teas, fried gizzards and liver and large fries, the tea was tasted old like day old tea, gizzards and liver was somehow cooked with extra spices batter didn't order it like that but was so hot it burnt our mouths, took back in nice gentleman told us it wasn't supposed to be cooked like that, so had to wait for another batch, got order and down the road and the gravey and roll were not in the box, everything fries included were extremely greasy, this is not what we're used to buying from Chicken express, will not be going back again. There was a really nice young man working in the front, can't say enough for him, he was working the register, filling orders and bagging meals, there was nobody else there to help him, thinking it wasn't his fault for not getting gravy back in box, he was over whelmed with no help in front.
