Jersey Mike's Subs

I like to alternate my favorite sandwich places each week and this is one of them. A Giant #13 on Rosemary "Mike's Way" is amazing. I want to try their other sandwiches too, but this one is just too darn good. Update: Their Cheese Steak sandwiches are also very good.

Great staff, sandwiches were great. After watching the commercials so many times I managed to locate one in San Mateo. I was very please and impressed with their service, prep and taste. Thank you!

The service is wonderful, the staff is attentive and friendly. The establishment is clean and management helps out which usually doesn’t happen in other establishments. Keep up the good work👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Fantastic Service! Server ask if my gluten intolerance is an "allergy" or a lifestyle choice. Then he changed his gloves, brought out a wrapped, gluten free roll, a clean sheet of paper (for prep area) and a fresh knife. There are some cross contamination concerns as they use the same cleaning cloth on the counters as on the slicer. So if you're really sensitive, be aware. The sandwich itself is tasty and sizable. Served on Udi's gluten free roll, it's the same size as a "normal" sandwich. They also have a "sub-in-a-tub" option if you're skipping bread entirely!

The freshest sub ever. It's alot lighter when it goes down then subways. You don't get a variety of buns to choose from but it does not make a difference, it's still so good! The freshest meats and a nice variety make up for the non variety bun. It's has an enclosed outdoor area that still feels like you are outdoors. Their pretty fast and clean as well and a very very friendly staff.

Didnt realize there was one here until I got a coupon for one. Got myself a cheese steak and they cook it fresh to order. It does take a while for it to come due to that, so be prepared to wait over getting a cold sandwich. Tasted great and everyone was friendly

I love this place. Love the bread, soft but just firm enough to hold the sandwich. Love the meat, particularly the ham, just salty and thin enough to taste and enjoy the ham flavor. I love the Mayo, not to thick and not watery. The put a ton of veggies on the sandwich that it is barely able to fit into your mouth. Heaven forbid you ask for double meat ... you will need another pair of pants a size bigger and a wheelbarrow to get you to where you want to go.

I decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did! The team was super friendly, and while they had fewer ingredient options than Subway, everything was incredibly fresh and clean. I ordered a wheat turkey sandwich in the “giant” size, and it did not disappoint! The meat and bread were both delicious, and they definitely give you more turkey than Subway does. I have not had a sandwich in very long time, so I wanted to give it a try. On my way to the place, I told myself if I walk into the shop and it smells like a cheap sandwich shop, or cleaning chemicals, I am not doing it, bc you always can tell the quality of the food by the smell of the cafeteria. I came in and it smelled really nice, like a kitchen. The gentleman openely greeted me, and gave me the explanation how the menu works. He also sliced everything in front me, the ham was folded in a beautiful rose like shape, I picked italian sub on parmesan bread, and the whole thing was so divine. Probably the best sandwich of my life. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, the bread was amazing, people at the counter very welcoming and kind, 10/10 will come back. So simple and good! <3

I love this place. Love the bread, soft but just firm enough to hold the sandwich. Love the meat, particularly the ham, just salty and thin enough to taste and enjoy the ham flavor. I love the Mayo, not to thick and not watery. The put a ton of veggies on the sandwich that it is barely able to fit into your mouth. We stop here often and the food is always great, which I have come to expect from all Jersey Mike’s. Same with the staff, but I’ll give a shout out to this group tonight. Stopped in with my family to eat and when we were finishing our sandwiches they brought over a cookie for each of our 3 kids.

Overall, a good little sandwich shop it looks like they get a ton of mobile orders, but with that said, my in-person purchase was fairly quick, and it looks like they're treating their walk-in clients just fine.

To-go experience: My first time here and I decided to go with the turkey provolone sandwich. The Club Supreme is probably their most popular, but this one looked a bit healthier and still delicious. We got the extra-large size, which is a great value if you’re sharing with another person, as it’s cut into four small, easy-to-eat sections. I love how the meat is sliced and how finely the lettuce is shredded. Most sandwiches come with olive oil, red wine vinaigrette, oregano, salt, onion, tomato, and lettuce. There’s a variety of breads, but I recommend the rosemary Parmesan for a nice touch. Gluten-free is available for an extra charge of about $2. Overall, these aren’t the best sandwiches in the world, but it definitely hit the spot and was good enough to make me want to come back. I also hear the brownies and cookies are pretty good. Inside, it’s your typical sandwich shop—not too different from a Subway. A few seats if you want to eat inside. The guy who helped me was nice and got my order ready pretty quickly. The line was only a few people when we walked in. Also, parking was fairly difficult when I arrived. Maybe just a one off though.

Placed an order online, showed up shortly after. My order said it would be ready 15 minutes out. Two of the workers were swamped taking the online orders. The other two were standing there taking im assuming walk in orders. A customer walked in and asked if I ordered I said yes, he proceeded to order his sandwich and they were immediately on his order. On-line ordering is a mess, I got my order shortly after because I explained the situation. I don't blame the workers but something more efficient has to be done. There are too many lunch options nearby to take a gamble and go back

I was pretty unimpressed by Jersey Mike's. It was o.k., but definitely nothing special. The bread should be softer, the ingredients should be a bit higher quality, and they could be a bit faster during the lunch hour. I'm comparing my experience with the sandwich shop called Port of Subs and this place just does not compare...

Came here with my family didn't really enjoy the experience. I personally liked the sandwich but the people taking our order didn't listen carefully and kept messing up the orders and even though it wasn't busy, overall they didn't give good customer service. The person behind the counter was a bit rude when we asked him to say something twice because we couldn't understand him. Cleanliness was just ok.

It got a little busy and employees were inefficient and I felt like they don’t know what they are doing. I ended up waiting for 15 mins to order and another 10 min to get the food, I the mikes cheesesteak was nice.

Very good staff here. Welcoming and calm. The ambience was okay. We had a chicken Philly melt and it okayish. I'm sure the actual cheese steaks are definitely better. They have restrooms and drinks and place to dine in. A gaint chicken Philly costed about 18$ with tax.

Total disappointment, I waited an hour for my delivery and they didn't give me my vanilla agave drink, for me Mike's is delicious, better than Subway, but what a bad delivery service, my sub arrived cold 😡

Had been to this location before and I'm not sure what has changes but we will not be back. When I asked what the bread choices were the young lady flicked her hand back and rattled off the 3-4 choices so fast I had to ask again. Once we got that settled we both ordered the pastrami one on rosemary and the other gluten free. We ordered to go. When ready at the guy that made the sandwiches called my name and handed me the two wrapped sandwiches, NO BAG & NO NAPKINS I had to ask for both. I see on a table orders made on line in a nice handled bag ready to go. To add insult to injury the gluten free bread was $2.00 more and tasted like dust, absolutely no flavor and just crumbled into pieces. The meat was ok what there was very tiny portions. For the $13.25 spent on a sandwich I'm expecting a lot more then what was received.

I visited this restaurant on yesterday and my experience was horrible! I did not get acknowledged when I came in. No one said hi but I noticed a white woman who came in after me was acknowledged. When my cold sandwich was finally made it remained on the board almost 5 minutes before anyone ever dressed the sandwich, when I asked about the long wait no one even acknowledged I had been waiting a long time, not even an “apology.” I noticed also that there were workers on the stove and near the back online order taking counter who were openly texting on their phones instead of addressing orders….. it looked like a lot of young people working with no real mature managing…..terrible experience

The food is still tasty, but the service has gotten really slow at this location. I arrived at the pickup time and my order had not even been started. I had to wait another 15 minutes before my 2 sandwiches were ready. Most of that time there were no sandwiches being made at all despite there being at least 3 employees behind the counter.

Uninspiring. How can a sandwich chain be worse than a Subway? Try the vegetarian option at Jersey Mike's! There's really no care or effort put into making the vegetarian sandwich good. It's just a thick stack of cheese, and a few meager pieces of peppers and lettuce slopped together. Is the bread good? No. Are the vegetables at least fresh? Yeah, I guess so. Quantity to price? OK, but stll more than Subway This is not a destination meal, it's like prison food. You're only eating here because one of your friends has absolutely no standards and just needs their sloppy beef slopped on a roll. The surfing theme also makes no sense.

The biggest change is the bread. It is awful. Lathered in more cornmeal than you have ever seen on bread. An I went back after a 5-6 month break hoping it was figured out. An it's the same $20 sandwich today that is just terrible. At home scraping the cornmeal off again and it led to me leaving this review. Back to Ike's Place for me. You should too. For the price there are much better Sammies in the bay area.

I'm not going back. Ordered online for pickup. The line was out the door. They had at least 7 working the behind counter. Packed at least 12 people inside waiting everywhere. I asked the lady at the register for my order under my name. She told me they haven't started it yet as they are 30 mins behind. I said well my pickup time is 12:30pm and it's 1:45pm so it's been 45 mins. She then said I don't know and proceeded to look like she needed a serious break from the insanity of sandwich making. I turned to the front door which was just 2 steps behind me and saw a bag on a metal rack. Unbelievably it had my name on it. And more Unbelievably the register lady rining up the orders didn't know this at all. I used to own a cafe in downtown SF and I know busy. But more importantly I knew all aspects of my restaurant. Jersey Mike's really needs to make some changes. No stars for service. Not even one.

I recently visited this restaurant to pick up a DoorDash order, and I must say, the experience left me a bit disappointed. Despite having 4 to 5 staff members on hand, none of them seemed to be operating efficiently. I ended up waiting for an additional 10 minutes beyond the expected pick-up time, which was frustrating. During my wait, I noticed the staff didn't seem to be in any hurry to fulfill orders, which was concerning. While I understand that everyone has off days, I believe there's room for improvement in terms of service and time management. I hope the management takes this feedback into account and works towards enhancing the overall experience for customers and delivery drivers alike.
