Yummy! Cool spot with great customer service.
Very nice people. We were on our way home from SeaWorld and very tired. My dumb dumb sister decided to add more to her order when we got to the window to pay and the man was very kind and patient. He added it and didn't make a fuss like some people would. Honestly, I wouldn't have been so cool about it. The food was good, too. We had special requests that were followed accurately.
Without realizing it, I left the drive through without grabbing my Bank card. I was completely across the parking lot and up a hill about to turn onto the street when I see the drive through guy running up behind me. He literally RAN after my car and I am so grateful. I work in the area but live an hour away and am off for the next 3 days. If he hadn't chased after me I would have been without it until the bank sent a new one. So thanks, Michael, you saved my weekend!!! Sidenote-- they always get my order right with a smile too :)
Seriously? I have been coming here since I was 10. I am about 100 pounds overweight now, and it's probably all these damn Munchie Meals and tacos I eat! They are just soooo good! I love this place! Friendly people who don't judge my drive thru orders lol. Love you guys!
I went here for the first time kind of late at night. The burger I had was delicious. The bun was super soft and the meat was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be back

I actually stopped in here to use the restroom but ended up ordering a small bit of food. It's a fast food joint so don't expect the Ritz... But the staff was friendly. The restrooms and restaurant were clean.

This is the best Jack in the Box that I have ever been to! I went tuesday night, and the staff was amazing. They were so kind, and the food was so fresh and it tasted amazing (especially the curly fries). It was such a fantastic experience, that I even had to ask for their names. Special thanks to Jazmin, Jose, Herber, and Julion. I can't wait to go back!
First time having them and I absolutely loved them. The burgers are so good and full of think fresh veggies. The burgers reminded me of a huge Wendy's burger. The fries were think and seasoned just right. I had to eat there a few times before I left California.
I love to swing by this location and get a quick bite to eat in the morning. They always get my order right and delicious. I recommend the supreme croissant and the mini churros. It's great the amount of food you can get here for so little money. Overall, great affordable food that will leave you wanting to come back again.
WOW ! I came to jack in box due to the fact I've never had the food before. I'm from VA, so Jack in the box is a myth to me. But I have to say, my first experience was amazing. When I got my sandwich, it was not appealing to the eyes. I took it back, and was greeted by Brian. Brian was so kind and listened to my problem. He politely took my sandwich back and brought one to my table right away. This made me so happy and gave a big smile. He did such an amazing job with my problem. He gave me a solution. All I have to say, is my first experience here was one to remember. Thank you Brian, without you I would have had a mediocre experience. But now I have a great story to tell about the Jack in the box located at 2690 Del Mar Heights Rd, Del Mar, CA 92014.
At this location the Manager and his team will go out of there way to make your order or give you suggestions to improve it. They are the best in the business and he beats the competition. When I'm in the area, I'll stop to pick up something even if I'm coming down from Oceanside and going southbound.
Great drive-through service, no squak-box static here. Best chicken strips of the Big 4 fast foid chains. Fries were good but McDonald's has the best. I'll keep coming back.
Recently we had a death in the family and I know it seems silly but sometimes you have to remember to eat. We were pressed for time and had to put in a large order for tacos. Not only did they have the food ready very fast but they were so kind and helpful when we picked it up. I didnt expect to find hospitality at a Jack n the Box but I did and we were grateful for the food and kindness.
Great job grave shift. Well done. Food was crispy (got the 2.24 chicken sandwich) and amazing! Lettuce was legit and crispy too. Best burgers ever and I was so hungry. Didn't disappoint. Friendly and nice worker. This manager and these workers needs raises or I'll strike for them. Managers knows how to hire these wonderful workers. A+
It's just Jack in the Box but these folk are quick accurate and friendly. Always have been at this location. Also, it's the only configuration I've ever seen with restrooms right at the entrance making it convenient to wash your hands first. The dining room is larger than most and has a bit of the canyon view from inside.
Staff was smiling, friendly and even delivered our food to the table. Food was freshly made and tasty. Dinning area was spotless. The crew really cares at this location (9pm on Friday night)

I'm from the Midwest, and our fast food joints sure don't treat you like this. Hands down one of the absolute best customer service experiences I've had. Our first time ever in a Jack in the Box. Everyone was super helpful. When the soda machine didn't have the flavor I wanted, they noticed and grabbed it for me from the back. Thank you for a great experience!
This is the most convenient Jack-in-the-Box right off the freeway never a long line it’s kind of hidden but yet very accessible. Five star Customer Service and Food.
2/21/25 I went through the drive-thru here today. I couldn't roll down my windows because I had them tinted on Wednesday, and I was on a business phone call. I gave my order, which was complicated. I paid with my card with the door open and still on the phone. When I got around front to park and eat while still on the phone, I realized that my order was wrong. I went in, and the manager was standing there. They realized they had given me the wrong prder. They fell all over themselves to do everything they could to make me happy even though i was not upset. They gave me my correct order and an extra order of fries and the original wrong order. The manager told me that his number one job is to make sure customers are happy. It was a very happy trip to Jack In The Box.
At 2:26 PM today on 10/1/24, I ordered a Twisted Dr. Pepper online, but the internal system made a mistake and came out as a regular Dr. Pepper. The man at the drive-thru window gave me a regular Dr. Pepper. I explained that I ordered a twisted one, and showed him my online order. He believed me and let me keep the Dr. Pepper AND gave me the Twisted Dr. Pepper that I ordered. I'm not surprised that this internal issue happened as its happened before at another Jack in the Box, but the employee understood the issue and made it right for me! I've had this issue before at a Jack in the Box in Encinitas, and the employees there refused to give me what I ordered, but the employee here today gave me a bonus drink to compensate for the interal issue mistake. 10/10 employee!! Definitely will continue coming to this Jack in the Box around this time knowing that the employees at this time are friendly and side with the customers! :)
Nice enough jack in the box. The food is the same as others. This one had a friendly cashier, but not the cleanest of restaurants. Near the I-5 too which is nice.
This might be the best Jack in the Box I've ever been to. I've never actually had food come out that looked anywhere remotely reminiscent of what the picture was before at any I've been to prior, yet this location has actually achieved that which was frankly shocking in itself.

Good food people were fast and the fries were fresh. The bacon sucked so bad. It tasted like it was saved from a couple of days ago. Or the bottom of the pan cooking on a hot surface all morning
Food is good. Service was friendly. Would have given a five star, except that too many of the tables needed to be wiped and the greasy fingerprints on the backs of the chairs need to be cleaned off so your not thinking twice about touching things.
Jack in the Box is an acquired taste. I like it and the food is usually good. Once in a while they miss it, like not cooking their tacos long enough. Tortillas don't come out crispy. But for fast food, its good. The only bad part is that prices have gone up, more so in certain areas.
Pretty much a normal Jack in the box experience. The people in the drive-thru were incredibly friendly. My biggest problem was that the fries were definitely old and cold and the unsweetened iced tea had been sitting for a long time. Unfortunately we didn't notice till we got back to place but the rest of the food was good.
Jack in the Box still doing it best to keep a decent quality of meals, andb they do it well. Nice attention from the personnel. The place doesn'tb give the impression of bean super clean in some tables, but the are spot were one feels safe. I love the burgers, and curly fries are the best.

Jack in the box has finally gotten it right with it's LATE NIGHT MEAL advertisements. This is the junk food place to go at 3am, when you've been out all night, and want something greasy and tasty to eat on the way home (or to work at 6, if you're that hard core). The best stuff is actually the worst for you......the 2 tacos for $0.99 specials. These are deep fried shells with some sort of substance inside (I can't tell if it is meat of vegetarian stuff), with an american cheese slice and a bunch of lettuce and some salsa slapped in between. Order some extra hot sauce for flavoring. These gut bombs are cheap, tasty, and definitely not good for health, but they hit the spot after a late night of drinking.
I ordered chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The fries didn’t taste good. The place was dirty, sticky floor, and understaffed.
Food was regular jitb but the bathroom was pretty bad. not that busy when visiting around 1pm gonna Wed.
It can get pretty busy during lunch, but the drive through staff is fast and efficient. It is the people ordering that takes time.
The service is fine and restaurant is clean. However, if you're interested in the tacos they offer you might be dissapointed sice they are usually mashed down a bit and a touch greasy compared to other Jack's locations. Also, when ordering through the app they have never added the extra lettuce and hot sauce requested. Other locations around town will make their tacos with a non soggy hard shell which is tasty and always add the extra condiments.
Consistent fast food, but accuracy of your order seems to be waning recently. App deals for account holders was an incentive ... but offers have dropped off and some locations do not accept app orders.
I generally LOVE Jack in the Box breakfasts...but my wife and I ate breakfast here two days in a row and both times received steak and egg burritos which had rank meat. Yuck. It was so bad at our stop today that it made us sick all day. It had that sweet, sour, "off" taste that signals meat beyond its expiration date. I've already submitted a complaint to the company, but I am not likely to return to this Jack in the Box (in spite of their speedy service).

Its crack in the box ( in the midwest a jack in the box had an employee selling crack in the drive thru until they got caught selling to cops and it hit the news then it became crack in the box,you can smell the bathrooms from the dinning areas so bout average jitb

Smelly inside, very slow outside. A couple of times I was stack in Drive through line of 3 cars about half an hour. If there's a car behind you, you can't even drive out of the line. Most of the time stuff wasn't rude, but very unwelcoming. They take your order like doing you a favor.
Okay, I just have to say, the food is good around lunchtime, but bad at dinner. Whenever i’ve tried to go during dinner, the nuggets are absolutely awful, but at lunch they’re good…
It's Jack in the Box. No different than any other Jack in the Box. If you like fast food in general, and Jack in the Box in particular, come here. If not, stay away. Food is always hot and consistent. Inside is clean and well kept. Safe neighborhood. Fairly wide menu for a fast food "burger joint". They have a few healthy items on the menu as well. Dine in or drive through.
Updated Review Service is improving and the employees seem to enjoy their work. The food is decent, but, like other corporations they seem to be squeezing everything they can out of customers as inflation peaks. Posting a photo of a nugget that now costs upwards of 48 cents each, including tax. If you order any meal, the price quoted is for a small, but they often ask you if you would like medium or large, or curly fries and that alone adds a few bucks to the already hefty prices for decent fast food. Service 4.5/5 (Almost always get the order right, and they make it right if they make a mistake) Food 4/5 not bad for fast food Chicken Strips 4.5/5 Spicy Chicken Strips 1/5 (they come out burned and dried out... don't bother) Chicken Nuggets 4/5 Reg Fries 4/5 Curly 4/5 Value 2/5 it isnt cheap, unless you want a side salad or a couple of tacos with mystery meat. Overall 3/5 because... $$$ bang for buck. you might be better off at a local small business / mom and pop restaurant. FYI: I returned burned stuff and they fix it, but not without pushing back a little. They suggested that spicy chicken batter always comes out burned because it is a different recipe from original. Sounds like a corporate problem, but not a customer issue. If I want to eat something burned, I will cook at home! 😂
The mozzarella sticks were over fried and not warm enough.It lacks both taste and texture Even the curly fries were not fresh. Onion rings were only the saving grace. I felt very unhealthy eating jack mini munch fries that night.
Terrible wifi service with a attitude not one car behind us but they made us wait in front of the business for 2 jumbo jacks and did not bring our drinks slow service no customer care and ok food that is now overpriced what happened they used to be one of the best now one of the worst
The white part of my eggs on my breakfast sandwich had grey/ green bits in it. The food tasted disgusting! Not enough carbon in the soda. Service was good though!

My first time at this location about 5-10 minutes ago and I went through the drive through. I am happy with the drinks we received but the service was really sad. The girl working at the drive through was so rude and right in front of my kids. I tried twice to smile at her because I believe to get the best out of people you have to be kind. Both times I smiled she squinted at me like she hated me I don’t understand why. She was young with dark brown hair in a ponytail and had those really really super long white nails with a bunch of designs on them. I gave up and just took our drinks and didn’t even look at her again. She said something under her breath as I drove away. I think she was mad because I took a while getting my change out. I’m just really bummed now.
Trust those one star reviews! They don't let people inside anymore, don't always respond in drive through even when they open, it happened few times, they just plain ignored me when I came to drive through, I had to leave in few minutes. A lot of the time they turn off their mobile orders and they never answer phone calls,. It looks like they are about to shut down for good.
I ordered a 3 chicken strip meal in the drive thru. I was given hot fries, cold spicy chicken strips with no sauce, a random drink with no ice in it and water. The employee did not give me a receipt, was not friendly, and didn't make eye contact. Maybe he was out of sorts working the night shift. It was about midnight. I would like a refund.
I've been to this Jack in the Box once or twice for last two months (or more) I work graveyard so on my lunch I try and order on their app but it hasn't worked. After trying everything thinking its my phone or wifi etc I drive to where you order and the individual didn't understand my question. Finally she said no working long time. Unfortunate. I dont know why they're taking so long to repair/fix the problem.
One of the worst Jack in the Box stores around. They close unannounced/early ALL THE TIME. You'll get a nice mispelled notice when you pull up to the drive thru. App orders constantly aren’t accepted. And they skimp on fries. They're happy to CHARGE you for medium fries yet this how I received them, with none in the bag either. That was part of a "medium" combo for $11.20 with tax. Ripoff. This location DESERVES to go out of business. Endless complaints and nothing changes. The other night at 10pm after placing a mobile order, which went thru, they of course are closed. This happens all the time at this location.
This Jack in the Box location (Del Mar Heights) has really gone from mediocre to sub-par! TERRIBLE customer service, UN-KEMPT, LONG LONG wait times even when they're slower. Bathrooms are gross, they're lobby hours are constantly and randomly changing with no notice, food quality poor and IMPROPER HANDWASHING OR NONE AT ALL! Offensive language and cursing in Spanish that is easily heard at the counter and in the dining room, zero accountability but lots of attitude, and impossible to get ANYONE on the phone to file a complaint! It's evident most of their staff have mentally checked out of their job there and the rest just "mailed it in"! This location should have to change their name to "YUCK!!! in the box".
My kids keep walking to this location and it is locked up during normal hours. Seems maybe drive in is only open. Please clarify your dine in/ non drive in policy/hours.
This location is not 24 hours. On several occasions they have been closed for the night around 8-9pm. On other occasions they have cut me off while I was already in the drive through and informed us that they were no longer taking orders (happened twice) and are often out of meals or sides when they are open.
Never have I seen or heard of a jack that closes at 10pm. Why is this location even a jack in the box? Should put a Arby's instead of this box trickery. Waste of space plenty of parking due to being closed but advertised as 24hours
We are regular clients, we eat here weekly but they closed the inside dinning and that was fine , we walked via the drive through and was told that we cant place an order as we are not in a car , we just knocked of work and had came to do laundry and they would not serve us, terrible client service , I've never been rejected from walking via the drivethru ever as money is money , bad attitude, bad service and there is always something going wrong in this branch and you can be sure about that , you will not be seeing me or any of my other colleagues again. Rats and bad attitudes. Triedncalling corporate multiple times with promises to have someone call me back but I have never heard back from anyone. Inquietly tried to tell the young girl but she had a fowl mouth and told me I was a f#$@ing liar word for word. Spoke to the manager about the girl and rat and she shrugged. Omg do not go into this place. I will be calling the state inspector on this and hopefully they get shut down.
Wasn't even able to go in to order only the drive thru was open at 1pm and had a long line. Tried both doors and when I knocked the staff inside just looked up but continued with the doors locked.

Got food there Sunday night and it was awful. The order took over an hour, there was multiple items missing and my jalapeño poppers had no jalapeños, were burned on the outside and the cheese wasn’t melted inside, that was the three that were edible, the other three had nothing inside and were burnt. Avoid this place!
My boyfriend was there last night and we weren’t given all of our order nor the correct drink. The place is 24hrs, so we attempted to call as soon as he got home and we saw the issue, but the phone just rings until what sounds like a fax machine picks up. I attempted multiple times last night and today with the same results. We want our money back for our missing items, but it seems this location is all about being rude and stealing from people instead of answering and rectifying their errors.
Ordered online, headed to location, told the app to start making it, then pulled up and saw a sign posted on the drive thru saying closed. 10pm at a 24hr location. I can understand how some things happen, but I wasted a drive for nothing because you left the online ordering up. Not okay and now I don't know how to get my money back. Update 2/11/22 - Filled out the contact form as requested from the Jack in the Box reply below on 2/3. Haven't heard anything back and credit card was not refunded. Went and filed with my credit card. Awful experience continues.
I placed the order through app, and chose pickup on the counter. Because I walked over there. But when I got there for pickup. The door locked, and there's a paper instruction sticked on the door. That said "please knock another door for in-store pickup". I did. Then the worst service story happened to me. I was told there's only drive through pickup. I had to drive a car for pickup. That's the most stupid thing and worst service I've ever had in my life so far.
The cashier in drive thru took my ordered correctly but seems that kitchen staff did not pay attention to the screen nor listened to the order over the speaker. I made a special order due to allergies and kitchen staff did not do their job.
Super RUDE!!! Front door was open, walked in and employee started yelling "only drive-thru!" Could've easily provided decent service by not getting loud with us and to an older gentleman just trying to get some food. Rude customer service, needs training, if it's closed; put up a sign or lock the doors then!
Spent $29 and some change on 2 nasty overly sauced monster tacos, couldn't eat it. So nasty 🤢, forgot my fries on my bonus jack double that had a gray bun squished flat with ketchup smeared on it, one patty and and then had asked for hot sauce and got at least 10 ketchups for my no fries. And it was the little Latino manager that gave me my order. U know who u are and the wait was so long to get my order wrong and sloppy. Thank goodness for In n Out, Jack would be so angry if saw that 🍔
Whoever the nightshift manager is needs to find new job. I could tell as soon as she started talking over the intercom that she had an attitude for some reason. Regardless I placed my order and I specifically ask for curly fries withy meal. When confirming my order at the pay window I asked her again if she put curly fries withy order because when we pulled away from the screen it said FRENCH FRIES STILL, but before I could finish she cut me off and said ' Ya ya it's all there. Then continued to verbally assault one of the employees belittling him tight in front of us. I was embarrassed for the guy. Then she hands me my order and what do you , FRENCH FRIES in my bag. I said mam I asked for curly fries. She replied 'Oh you didn't say'. I said I asked twice and you said yes they're curly. Then instead of apologizing or anything she said, Well do you have 30¢ for curly fries ?'with an attitude, so I just drove away. Ridiculous example of customer service 😤
The woman in the drive-thru (Alejandra) laughed at our order to the point that she had to switch with a more professional employee. They got our order wrong because they obviously weren’t paying attention, and when we went inside to fix it, they told us that we couldn’t. I plan on complaining to corporate because the manor that they handled this was completely unprofessional and rude. Would not recommend.
Not specific to this store but something is going on at Jacks. I have eaten here (and others) for years, no problems. Last two meals (different meals one here one in Lakeside) I have gotten the runs. Are they using sulphites now? I am sensitive to these preservatives.
I went to order a sandwich with no tomatoes and extra lettuce. They gave me extra tomatoes and extra lettuce. I’m allergic to tomatoes!!!! This was for my lunch and now I don’t have lunch. I’m calling to ask for a replacement or something and they don’t answer. I have called several times and nothing. Worst customer service!
Was told they no longer had the bacon and cheddar potato wedges a day after I ordered and received them at the same store. They need to educate their employees so I don't wastey tame and gas just to get told they don't carry an item that they clearly do.
The lady didn't want to use my friends EBT even though there was cash and food on there so thank goodness I had my cash and card to cover the balance. We even called after leaving and it was confirmed that there was both enough cash and food stamp on the EBT card my friend tried to use. We felt discriminated against and dismissed.
i never ever write reviews especially when it comes too food since anything can happen either good or bad. i don’t complain and i mean this sincerely but i can’t stop thinking abt my past two experiences here. i’ve always enjoyed jack in the box especially this one. i usually like to order a late night dinner which includes the number 13 combo with a large cola. my go too meal, fortunately this one night i had forgotten to take my straw with me when i got back home so i decided too just gulp my drink down. i hadn’t noticed anything wrong until i took a second sip. looking at the drink cup i noticed black thin flakes that kinda resembled seaweed flakes that would’ve been soaked in soup. i hadn’t noticed it before but examining it further i knew it was mold. i couldn’t stomach more of it since the rim of my cup was covered in it and i decided to dump it out. it wasn’t just a couple pieces floating around it was a handful that covered the inside of my cup and the drink itself. i thought maybe it was just a one time thing so i stomached up the courage too go back again another night. i placed the order through the drive through and got sprite this time since it would be easier too spot it. unfortunately the same thing happened again but in smaller quantities. those dam flakes floating in my drink :( i asked the person in the drive through if they can give me another one since there’s black flakes and the lady responded with “this is our only soda fountain, but i can get you another soda.” i was kinda taken it back and was debating between just not taking it or what the drive through employee suggested. since i still paid for my meal and wanted to get my moneys worth i decided to not be bothered and got fanta instead. luckily when they handed it back to me i hadn’t noticed anything strange floating around but im surprised that i never got an apology or acknowledging my concern. i don’t care for my own safety but this can def damage others especially with those that have a weak immune system. i’m still unable too go back since it wasn’t a coincidence that it happened once. i wonder to myself how many times did i drink moldy flakes here without knowing… i wish i had taken pictures but im just warning those that do decide too come here to always check ur drink before siping it.
I cried so hard after taking a bite of my overcooked hard salty cluck sandwich. My sweet husband worked late and I'd been hungry 3 hours already. He went through the drive-through 5 minutes away and again my French fries were cold. I didn't eat it. 😭 It was awful. Should Not have gone back again. They forgot to give us the 4 tacos and hot sauce. They forgot to give us the sweet and sour sauce for the 6 egg rolls too and didn't even give a receipt. Matt had to drive back over there N still no sweet n sour sauce or receipt. Seriously sucks
While taking my parents to the airport, I placed an order through the app. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the speaker announced that the system was being updated and the business was closed. My attempts to obtain a refund for my order since August 19 have been met with silence – my calls and emails have gone unanswered. Even the corporate office has failed to respond, despite my calls and their website suggesting they are open for business.
Worst jack in the box in all of San Diego. I ordered a salad with ranch dressing and a milkshake. Staff member proceeded to give me my milkshake but never gave me my salad! I had to argue with an illiterate staff member over getting something I paid for but did not receive. Then I got my salad and it had the wrong dressing and I drove over 30 mins away from restaurant before I realized they messed such a simple task of giving me what I asked for. Then I drove all the way back to the jack in the box to be told they don’t have anymore salads! So I asked for a refund and the staff member messed that up to gave me incorrect change! Is it that hard to work in Jack in the box??? Terrible customer service. This is the USA and we have people with broken English in customer service jobs.
The dinning room is always closed in the mornings. The sign on the door says the dinning room opens at 6am and I have been there around 7 and 8am and the dinning room is closed. I drive a big delivery truck and have to take my lunch by a certain time and going through the drive thru is not an option for me. The last couple times I told the employee that I can’t go through the drive thru because of the size of the truck and they said oh well, come back later. This location has lost my service all together and if the dinning room isn’t open according to the time on the door, it will be nice for them to post it’s not open.
I didn't even bother trying to come here when I noticed the app doesn't even allow you to order here with the app offers. Seeing the other reviews it's CLEAR that this place has issues they aren't resolving. Multiple people mention not getting their issues resolved after the fact. I was passing through, and I'll make sure to continue on my way.
This location claims to be open 24 hours, but everytime I come it’s closed. Today I knocked on the drive thru window. The lady says they have to close to take breaks. Are you serious? Then take the multiple signs that say open 24 hours down. You are not open 24 hours of you close randomly because the manager can not manage breaks properly.
The drive through rushed us out without our Double Jack, no receipt, no Good Sauce for the Cluck sandwich, and the fries are stale. The phone goes to fax machine not answering. I'm calling Corporate Jack in the Morning. It happens too frequently. Same overnight manager. Not good.
They close without notice at night. If you order off the app and prepay, you WILL be charged and Jack in the Box WON’T refund your MONEY. I called their customer service # and told them I showed up with this broken English sign after I ordered at 10pm. A woman said they will review my complaint. A month later, nothing. Had my bank charge back the $. This place is a JOKE. Will NEVER go back. And this has happened to others. And their worthless reply to this review is just that. WORTHLESS. They do NOTHING to help you. NOTHING.
