2 out of 3 visits someone leaves a topping off or omits one of the fish I selected (does 2 salmon instead of 1 tuna & 1 salmon)… it’s pretty crazy. We can’t leave without checking now. Today this guy NAILED it. Best bowl I’ve received in 3 YEARS. Thank you!
I was super early to pick up my order, but when I arrived and let them know I was there, they made my order right and brought it to me at the table I was waiting at. Just great service. :)
Stopped by randomly because I was in the area and decided to give it a try. The employee was very helpful with suggestions and explaining some menu items. Yuzu salmon bowl was super fresh and perfect for a quick outdoor lunch on their patio. I would totally go back.
Sweetfin has some seriously fresh and delicious Poke bowls! I love the spicey tuna bowl with extra crispy onions on bamboo rice. Give them a try, they are awesome!
Everything at Sweetfin is gluten-free. I don't know any other poke place that is. Their bowls are fresh, made-to-order, and have a very healthy touch to every bowl.
Sweetfin’s “pole to bowl” mantra is more than a catchphrase. Sweetfin “was created with the goal of providing healthy, nutritious and flavorful bowls and a more approachable way for diners to enjoy sushi.” With a fine-casual restaurant concept taking familiar sushi flavors and putting them in an easy to eat, portable, customizable, and affordable bowl. It’s yummy!

Really tasty. The bowl was loaded and filling and the sauces were so flavorful. Nate did a great job guiding me through some of the best flavor profiles. Also the place was super clean. And the lemonade was so good!
Best poke place around! I really don’t understand why there are bad reviews, we have never had a bad experience here. 1. The staff members are so kind and helpful 2. Tons of options! They have 4 different kinds of rice, plenty of protein options, and tons of toppings and sauces. You can pick 3 bases, 3 sauces, 2 proteins, and 8 toppings, for a $16 custom bowl. That is way better than other popular poke spots we’ve been to! 3. Good portions. They even weigh the portions out to ensure accuracy so you’re not getting half filled scoops! 4. Quality ingredients. I’ve never had fish that smelled bad or tasted bad. 5. Really good unique drinks 6. It’s all gluten free! If you are gluten intolerant or have celiac disease, this place is so refreshing to eat at! I really hope this restaurant stays open and more people try it out because it’s one of my favorite spots ❤️

I’ve followed Sweetfin on IG for several years because their bowls always look so good. Finally happen to find one on a work trip in SoCal and I have to say the staff, quality, and freshness was the best I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend.

My only complaint and others with us too is the lack of sauce. Wish there was a pinch more. The classic tuna bowl was very good especially because I added crispy onions. I’m had bamboo rice, it’s different. Will be back as it was perfect for a grab and go.
UPDATE: I have given them another shot, and I'm pleased to report that their portion sizes are back to the way they used to be. I ordered my usual salmon BYOB, and I was happy to see that they loaded the bowl. However, I would still give it 4 stars because their new base option, the sushi rice, is consistently clumped together. They probably used too much water while cooking the rice. I wish they prepared it in a better way as the taste is good. I also wish that they still had the smaller bowl option. Now, they seem to only sell the large bowl, and it's a bit too much food for me. Overall, I'm happy to see that things are improving at Sweetfin. They are still my go-to place for poke :) ================================================== I have been a fan and frequent customer of this restaurant for many years since its opening. The food and service was great initially but recently I have encountered some problems. First off, in one order of seared albacore and salmon mix, the seared albacore tasted very fishy. However, the worker at the time mediated the issue by giving me a larger portion of salmon. I was very grateful for his help. Today, however, did not go so well. Upon ordering a small bowl, the portion size was so minuscule that I had to ask about it. The workers simply stated that they did everything according to their “manual”. I understand that workers need to follow the rules; however, I have never had a portion this small. Even pictures on other Google reviews show a larger portion size for a small bowl. For instance, virtually all other photos have toppings covering the line under the rim. In the one I received, I could see the rims of my bowl and below up to half an inch. A coworker even told the one making my bowl that they were adding too much crispy onion and so I watched as they added even less into my bowl. After I received the food, the bowl was so dry and had barely any of the sauces (three total) that I had requested. I wish I had remembered to take a photo before I already started eating, but I was very upset to say the least. I am giving two stars because I loved this restaurant so much before these recent incidents occurred. In the past, I used to eat here at least once a week and the workers would even remember my request to add soy sauce (not on the menu) to my orders. They used to be very considerate so I am very upset at the workers and how this restaurant is today.
Like that they have a variety of base options besides rice. The kelp noodle slaw was really good.
Food was prepared on time, and tasted great. But I ordered an agave (?) lemonade with points but when I opened my takeout bag at home it was not there! So I guess check your bag before you leave.

We been here twice before. I just gave this place another try. I really wanted to like it because the location is great and the decor is very cute. Also the service and the employees are excellent. Unfortunately the food was not awesome. I got two yuzu salmon poke bowls - one for my son and one for me. Considering that it was a pre-designed dish and I would expect that it would be very flavorful and well designed but my son and I both felt it was super bland. I thought the ingredients were fresh enough and the salmon was good. Jicama did not make sense to me as an ingredient in this dish. Considering the high price I was hoping for something better.

We came to Sweetfin around 7 PM — a full hour before closing — and asked if they could mix our bowl, and were told no because “they already cleaned the dishes.” Honestly, that’s pretty disappointing. If you’re still open, customers should be able to order and receive the full experience, not get turned away from a basic request just because it’s inconvenient for the staff. We didn’t feel fully taken care of, and it left a sour taste on what should have been a simple, enjoyable meal.

Out of normal white rice as a base? Served me a half portion of undercooked “forbidden” rice (no kidding) instead. Location was fifthly too. Tables a mess, food all over the floors, behind the counter was bad too - stacked up bowls and dishes. Trash overflowing in the bins. Wish I had noticed before I paid. Young gal working who took my order was borderline rude, and totally disinterested in her job. Didn’t know what poke sauce was either. I ordered around 2pm and the place was empty so no reason why the location couldn’t be cleaner. Unfortunately this will be a one and done for me.

Tried the yuzu salmon bowl at Sweetfin Poke, and honestly… it was giving “spa water” energy. All the right ingredients were there—avocado, jicama, salmon, yuzu—it should have been a flavor party. Instead, it tasted like everyone showed up but forgot to bring the seasoning. The salmon was a little too fishy-fishy (not in a cute sushi way), and the whole thing was missing a basic thing called salt. I kept waiting for the flavors to hit… but they must’ve missed their Uber. Also—$16?? For that price, I could’ve gotten a Cava bowl that actually tastes like something and still had change for a cookie. Sweetfin, you’re sweet, but please season your fish.
Waited in a long line of 2 people ahead of me. Shocked to find out imitation crab is $2.50 extra?? No way and no thank you. Only thing I'm paying extra for is avocado. The fish is alright, toppings are a little strange but I guess would be fun for some people. But you gotta be kidding me with the price point. There are so many better poke places. Go find one :)

I am very very very disappointed! these people do not understand taste combinations at all. At first I came across the fact that I can’t place an order on the spot, I have to go to an awkward website and deal with the order (other places with poke are much easier and faster). then we waited for the order for more than 18 minutes. Seriously? Is it exactly poke? 18 minutes! for $ 13.5 I got a very small bowl in which there were 6-7 small pieces of salmon ... soy sprouts, mushrooms, cucumbers, a lot of salad and a terrible bitter sauce! tastes and textures do not combine. it seems these people don’t know how to cook food. and after 3 hours I had problems with digestion and stomach! it's just really bad! such a beautiful place and beautiful photos on instagram. but reality is just disgusting

Somehow everything tasted stale and flavorless. Save your money and get poke somewhere else unless you like the taste of freezer fish.
Used to really enjoy ordering food and coming here. My partner placed an order for pickup and timed it just right so it would be ready when he arrived. He arrives and there are 4 workers, standing around doing nothing and the restaurant is empty, and the order that he placed 20 min ago was not ready. He waited to pickup food that he placed an order for in advance just to be told that they didn't realize that there was an order. He waited another 20 min for the food to be prepared, only to arrive home and see that the ingredients in our bowls were completely off (red onions when red onions weren't ordered, missing seaweed salad, missing sauce on the side, and the amount of fish totaled to about 5 small pieces of fish). The portions of protein coming from Sweetfin, the attention to detail, along with overall quality of the business have gone downhill recently, and unfortunately we will no longer be ordering poke bowls from here anymore. This is not the first time that ingredients have been left out and the portions of protein have been an issue. We noticed this began some time ago, but decided to continue giving it a chance. Considering there are better options for poke bowls within a 5 min drive of this place, the benefits of being patrons of this business outweigh the inconvenience of never getting our orders right/on time and not getting value from the money we pay for our food... I would consider another spot :/
Delivery orders beware! This establishment does not have good customer service for orders. We ordered dinner from sweet fin off Uber Eats and the wrong food was sent to us with the wrong name on the receipt. We tried to have the delivery driver fix the mishap. But he was so defensive we didn’t feel like our food would be safe (like he might spit in it) if we had the same driver pick up the right food. So we tried to call sweet fin directly and were sent down a rabbit hole of pushing numbers to be connected to the right staff only to have them say they can not help with orders from 3rd party companies such as Uber Eats and door dash. There was no way to get ahold of a live person to fix the order issue. So apparently samuel (the guy whose order we got) and us just get screwed out of the food we wanted for dinner.
Absolutely unacceptable by Hawaiian/Asian standards. The smallest portion of fish I've ever had on any poke around the world. There's literally more rice than all the ingredients combined. $18 a bowl for this? Never coming back.
