A group of 3 came in on St. Patrick’s day and were able to find a table in the back without a problem. Drinks were a little weak, music pretty loud (great playlist) but the food was so good! Would come back for the fries alone!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Denton staple with a great vibe! The ambience here is always on point, but the real star is Sienna—she’s the true MVP. Her lemon drop martinis are absolutely stellar. If you’re anywhere near the Dentin Square, do yourself a favor and stop in to see her. You won’t be disappointed
Came here for a couple cocktails. They have a limited selection of fairly basic cocktails. The shots menu was actually more vast! The menu had a fair amount of offerings. I happened to be here in a Wednesday for half price burgers. Which it still came out to $9 for a burger Service was great. My bartender was friendly. I was just chillin by myself
The Loophole…. Okay so as an amateur food critic, I have encountered my fair share of burgers, from the nondescript to the sublime. However, it’s a rare pleasure to find a place where a burger is a masterpiece, where the cooks are maestros conducting a symphony of flavors. At the loop hole, this was my precise experience. From the first bite, the burger was just eaten; it’s savored. The beef fresh, seared to juicy perfection, hinting at a blend of seasonings that elevate its natural flavor. The bun, a golden dome of soft yet sturdy delight, lightly toasted, a perfect platform for the richness that rests upon it. The lettuce and tomato are garden-crisp, the onions caramelized to a sweet turn, and the special sauce, a secret blend, is a creamy, tangy, and utterly delicious enigma that binds all the components together. The cheese, melted to just the right consistency, blankets the patty in a layer of gooey goodness. Each burger at the loophole is not just a meal but an experience, a culinary journey worth taking again and again. For these reasons, I award the loophole a well-deserved five stars. It stands as a beacon of burger brilliance, a testament to the craft of burger-making, and a must-visit destination for any true aficionado of this classic American dish.
I absolutely love this place! All of the people are so sweet and lovely. I come in all the time just because I love the atmosphere and workers, and will reccomend this place until my voice goes out. I think my favorite thing is constantly seeing a bunch of beautiful babes RUNNING the place. The food is delicious, and the alcohol is always mixed so perfectly
The Chicken Bacon Flatbread- AMAZING. Wings? Delicious. I LOVE this place. You choose where you get To sit, it’s easy to talk, and plenty of Tv’s, we’ve been able to watch Bob’s Burgers. I love this place.
Walking through downtown Denton trying to decide what Restaurant to eat at. The cutest gal named Cienna working for The Loophole says, “Our burgers are better.” It’s definitely an eclectic bar vibe ~ but us 4 old ladies weren’t uncomfortable at all. Cienna, was familiar with the menu and all her recommendations were spot on. Pretzels were hot, soft Yummy. The Jam & Goat Cheese Burger, So Good~ it’s like a homemade meaty burger with lots of Mayo and cheese. The Margarita Pizza wasn’t the usual I have had- made with Pesto. The winner was the chicken parm pesto on a hoggie bun, plenty left over for seconds. All in all it was a really fun and satisfying lunch experience. Cienna was awesome!! 1/2 price Pizza on Thursday and 1/2 price Burgers on Wednesday.🙌 We aren’t consumers of alcohol ~ but the bar was stocked and the signature names were funny.
We visited the burger place late in the evening with high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. The atmosphere was cool, with a good vibe, but things took a turn when we realized they were about to close. We understand it was late, and the staff might have been tired, but we were hopeful they could still take care of us with their best service. However, we waited for our food for over 45 minutes, and when it finally arrived, it was disappointingly cold. The meat wasn't cooked properly, and there was an issue with it being undercooked. I prefer my meat well-done, but unfortunately, they didn't inquire about the preferred level of doneness. The overall experience left a lot to be desired, and the wait time combined with the temperature of the food was a letdown. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback into consideration to enhance the dining experience for future patrons.
Ok, so I've been twice now at least and both times they aren't just downright rude but they want you to know that you're on their turf. The atmosphere is not professional. The limited bar space seems to be home for themselves and friends of the staff. Were pushed to the edge because waitress needed the bar stool next to us to sit and hangout between every customer interaction. The entire staff was taking every opportunity to hangout be loud and obnoxious. This was essentially the same both visits. Not giving a third chance. It's not cheap enough for that kind of experience.
Me and my fiance just wanted cheese fries, we went to cool beans first, their prices were absolutely ridiculous, so i suggested we go to loophole cause i liked their cheese fries in the past and they were fairly priced, but unfortunately the food just wasn’t good at all. Idk if they stopped making house ranch and started buying bottled ranch but it’s just as bad as hidden valley if not actually hidden valley, there was like only 7 pieces of bacon in the fries, the cheese sauce was almost definitely ricos nacho cheese sauce. Not bad but like. Come on… and the worst part was there was several raw fries. If you’re going to drown fries in the cheapest nacho cheese sauce at least make sure the fries are fried. It’s just sad. I feel like ever since denton became this “tourist town” quality has just gone down everywhere and prices have gone way up and service is sub par. Why even go out? I could have gotten a bag of frozen fries, friend them in oil, bought ricos cheese, actually make palatable ranch and a fair amount of bacon crumbles and had a much better experience with more food for the same price. I worked in food service for several years and was head chef at a few places and if I was serving these fries i just wouldnt feel proud. The atmosphere is great. The service has always been good and I’ve always liked the food here. But i don't think I’ll be back.
Don’t get me wrong. We had a wonderful waitress that was super kind and very friendly. She was great. Food wasn’t even that bad. But a few hours later we were left feeling very sick. My boyfriend got insane nausea and stomach pains and I was left with incredibly uncomfortable stomach pains and food poisoning symptoms. This was our first time trying loophole, so we were excited. I got the mushroom burger (no bacon) and he got a generic burger. It was cheap and tasted good, but the after effects were incredibly bad. My boyfriend hasn’t ever got sick since I’ve known him, and this is the first time I’ve seen him like this. Maybe it was an off day in the kitchen, but I really hope no one experiences what we did.
Have been a patron at this place for 3+ years and a server who has served my friends and I in the past refused to serve us drinks, because her Oklahoma ID was "fake, bc it didnt have a vertical barcode." The same server has served us alcohol in the past but maybe she was too distracted with the boy she had following her around that night. We used to love it here and its sad to see that we can no longer drink here bc they dont have a way to authenticate real IDs from the fake ones. We still got fries that were okay at best, would have been better with an ice cold beer from the local place, unfortunately had to take our business elsewhere which is unfortunate because the restaurant seemed to be in need of local support. Point is, if youre from Oklahoma avoid this place. and management from loophole pls teach your employees what a real ID looks like, and train your servers to not talk dirty and point at the people still buying food regardless of the situation. We got our beers from DCBC.
Waited over 45 mins for their Bavarian pretzel appetizer which eneded up being a microwaved soft pretzel cut in to pieces. Entree portion was smaller than expected
They seriously need to do something about the squids. Out entire visit was ruined by squids harassing us during our meal. And the server with the “SPORTS CAR JONNY” tattoo didn’t do anything about it. When I asked about the squids he totally brushed us off and told us to “just ignore it” as if we were the crazy ones. Won’t be coming back here.
We stopped in for our first time.. it was not busy multiple open tables. We ordered appetizer and sandwich with fries… after waiting 42 minutes we noticed a table of 4 that came in after us had all their food… we flagged down the waiter who proceed to tell us “Hhmm not sure kitchen backed up.. what did you order “ he was the one who took our order! We decided not to wait any longer and left after we paid for our drinks. Very disappointed!
My best friend and I were looking for a place to eat. We aren’t from Denton so we weren’t too familiar with the place. We stumbled upon this place and we stopped. We had a drink in our hand, which ofc wouldn’t be allowed in because it’s a food establishment, but we were simply going to ask if we could place an order to go. We walked in and we weren’t greeted and so we were reading the posters they have up. We walk out (because we are a bit shy and feel awkward) and walk back in and the two ladies sitting right by the door just very sternly say “no outside drinks”. It was very rude. I would’ve understood a “hi ladies unfortunately we don’t allow outside drinks” but there was no greeting and terrible delivery and it was only on the second time we walked in when they acknowledged us. My friend goes inside and begins asking if she can place a to go order, if she can even place it at the bar and in response she got a condescending “sure” for everything. So one of the ladies comes outside where we are now standing and she asks if we’ve been ringed up. We say no and my friend asks if she could pay with tap and very rudely she received a “I wouldn’t want to but sure”. We were left super uncomfortable. The young man that handed us our food was super kind.
Our waitress was sweet and it was her first night on the floor. We asked if our 19 year old daughter was allowed to drink with us. Upon checking with management she said no. Zero complaints from us we respect the law. 46 year old mom and 21 year old boyfriend of her daughter got a celebration shot to toast the evening. Upon ordering a 2nd shot our “new” waitress said she had to witness the shot since we had a 19 year old at the table. We took the shot under supervision but I (the 46 year old) requested she review the prior shot footage to verify we respected the law and the shots were taken by consumers of legal age. 5 minutes later the manager poured shots for our waitress and a pink headed waitress which is a TABC violation. When I asked to speak to the manager and showed her the law and asked why our integrity was questioned while she was intentionally breaking the law was questioned she just laughed. Owners need to be made aware of how their establishment is being represented as well as @TABC. Do better!!
We’ve been going here for years and always show up respectful and tip well. Lately though, the staff has gotten rude for no reason. We were told we couldn’t be served after just one drink, like we were out of control, which was completely untrue. It felt more like a power trip than anything else. Some of them act like they’re above everyone when really they’re just stuck in the same place doing the same thing. We’re done coming here. It’s not worth dealing with that energy.
