Was Kunden über Dickey's Barbecue Pit sagen
Dickey's Barbecue Pit at DFW Airport receives mixed reviews. Some customers praise the pulled pork, brisket baked potato, and friendly staff, especially bartenders like John. However, many complain about dry brisket, small portions for the price, and high prices for drinks.

Tip: If getting brisket, be prepared to use plenty of BBQ sauce to combat dryness. The pulled pork and sides like fried okra and coleslaw are safer bets.

Our bartender Todd was amazing! We were craving a couple bloody Marys after our flight 🤤 and to our delight you had BBQ style bloody Marys. Todd recommended we make it a double, and he was right. We each had two. They were perfect. 👌 When we closed our tabs he noted we were both military and thanked us for our service. Perfect service. Dickey's will be my new go-to in DFW for my future connecting flights, especially if Todd is at the helm. 🫡
After a disappointing experience at Brookwood Farms in CLT, Dickie’s BBQ pit at Terminal C, was exactly the "hit the spot" meal I was looking for. I ordered the 3-meat plate with brisket, pulled pork, and BBQ chicken. The portions were generous, justifying the price. The Sides: Mac n Cheese was delicious (definitely not Kraft!), but the BBQ beans were the unexpected rising star of the plate. Great value, great food and the service was a massive step up from my last layover experience at CLT.
Had 3 delays in flight to MSP. Walked about airport and found y'all. Yummmmmm. Hubby had garlic parmesan wings, I had cheeseburger medium and we shared fries. IPA & Stella Artois ❤️. Met David of Australia....lively and lovely chat. Cheers mate. Friendly & attentive Bartender.
We stopped for a quick bite to eat during a layover and it was definitely worth leaving a review. We shared a brisket baked potato and it was one time I wish I hadn’t decided to share. Absolutely delicious.
The food was good. Pulled pork was delicious. The fried okra was so good that I wanted another bag of them. I am picky on Cole slaw and theirs was great. Just the right balance of creamy without it being sloppy and soggy. The brisket was the only part that was not as good. Now don't get me wrong, this is airport BBQ. They get their meats delivered everyday but they are not allowed to smoke them on site. It is really really hard to not dry out brisket, and that is what happened. Now the sauces they had were good, so use them to give a little moisture back to your brisket if you need to. The sweet was a little too sweet for me but still good. The regular was a good balance but the hot is where the action is. Good flavor without t to much heat, I would not call it hot, spicy yes. If you are in DFW and want some good BBQ you can't go wrong here. And the ladies working the time I came by were friendly and happy to suggest options to try out.
Great joint!! Beat my expectations!! We walked in here with least expectation and they beat it out of the park!! The food was decent, the service was amazing!! Shout out to John from the bar for lively conversation and great drinks!! I'm buzzed and loving it!! The rest of my travel is going to be easy 😁 We opted for the 3 meat plate. Brisket, ribs and jalapeno kelhbasas. Crispy fried okra and Mac n cheese. We enjoyed it all with the spicy bbq sauce. The drinks are a little expensive, but well, it is an airport!! The drink, a mule, was awesome though!! It would be unfair to compare an airport location to the original restaurant. But the food was enjoyable and amidst the travel chaos, good food and friendly faces make a whole deal of difference!! So thank you Dickeys!! We'll be back during our next visits.
Cashier was very friendly. The green beans were very tasty as well as the Mac n cheese. Unfortunately, the brisket was super dry and the buns felt old. My wife had the pulled pork and it was also dry. Once we added the bbq sauce, and we drenched the sandwiches in it, they were good. Unfortunately, without the sauce, they were not good enough to recommend.
Stopped in with a friend to have a drink while at the Dallas airport. We ordered 2 cosmopolitans, nothing special. I was a bit surprised that our bill ended up being $50. I'm aware airport prices are always higher but this seemed excessive for what we ordered. The atmosphere is very casual bbq and the service was very minimal. I have to admit it's my own fault for never looking at prices so I don't fault the business. I'm only writing this review to give future patrons a heads up to really take a good look at what you are paying for. We went next door to another establishment 2 minutes away and paid nearly half for better cosmos.
Food is overpriced. Everything was dry. The BBQ sauce and the potato salad was the best thing on the plate. Paid almost $40 for a 3 Meat platter. The portions are ridiculously small for the price you pay. The only positive aspect of this place is the bar and the seating area. Food is trash.
Pretty dreary and mediocre. Food is OK but overpriced (of course) but be sure to check your order CLOSELY because order accuracy and service is not good and they routinely overcharge from menu prices.
I got the chicken and the turkey. The chicken was OK, but the turkey was inedible. The side salad was brown and they only had ranch and Bleu cheese dressings. I don't expect much from airport food but this was pretty bad, especially for what they charge. At least the staff was nice.
I asked for a sandwich without cheese and pickles and I got this. No sauce no onions nothing. The chicken is extremely dry and not flavorly. I almost chocked on it. Went back to ask for assistance and no one was willing to assist. Looking at me blankly. The one guy there said I didnt make the sandwich. Should have just gotten something from Starbucks at least they are consistent. And they still ask for tips. Didnt know fast food required tip especially one that doesnt give good customer service.
Similar experience to others. Terminal D had better options. Ordered the pulled pork, chicken breast, potato salad, Mac N cheese and came with bread. Chicken as dry as imaginable. Pulled pork had a small bone. Mac N cheese was insanely bad. Potato salad was the highlight. Bread forget about it. Skip this place. Insane pricing as well.
I am Brazilian and was traveling with my family during a layover at the airport. The staff laughed and mocked me while speaking Spanish and making fun of my mistakes in English. This is unacceptable and prejudiced behavior, especially in an international airport where many travelers do not speak the language fluently. I regret making a purchase here. Tourists should avoid this place.
So gross. So rude. If you like it when someone walks away before you’re done ordering then come here! 10 dollars for boneless chicken and wings that actually just look like school lunch chicken nuggets tossed in the most mediocre sauce you can thing of. Had to repeat myself 3 times about what I wanted, and because I was cut off from ordering we waited 15 minutes for my food while my other friends food sat and got cold. The only redeeming quality is that I don’t have to go back.
Rarely do I feel the need to rate an airport food stop but the kitchen here is absolutely disgusting. I took one bite of my food and decided food poisoning wasn’t worth the risk. The baked potato oven looks like it’s never been cleaned. Ever. All the fry packets were sitting out waiting to be tossed into what look like oil that has never been changed. The floor was disgusting. Everything was covered it food from previous cooking. What’s crazy is when you pay for your food you can see inside the kitchen. Just stay away, don’t risk it here.
Chandra served us very quickly & I can see she was doing what she can for us while it was still busy. Also, the prices were a bit crazy though because a drink was equivalent to a double and that's wild. I got two drinks for $45 that's crazy. Anyways, great service, terrible prices.
