Grand Slam Pizza

Good food for a surprisingly reasonable price. Not a lot of variety, but the salad is fresh and the pizza is tasty. They also have gluten free options which is always an added bonus. The buffet option comes with pizza, salad bar, drink, and ice cream. I especially like how they put the games throughout the little restaurant. My three year old didn't have to go far for flashing lights. The overall atmosphere is mellow and comfortable in its own humble way. We pass through Dripping Springs often. This will be a regular stop for us from now on.

The 2 star review completely missed the whole point of this place. You get pizza, pasta, salad, a soda and ice cream for $6.95. They also clean your tables for you and make sure they thank each and every customer that comes through the door. They cannot keep the doors open with fancy dining wear, high end furniture and a huge staff while offering prices from back in the 90’s. If you want fancy pay for it, this place has continuously returning customers because of the quality and quantity of food for cheap.

The owners were awesome and very friendly...even let us stay past their closing time. The pizza was bubbling hot and very good. Their salad was fresh and a little unique. Overall, a great place that we will go back to some weekend for a little drive.

The best pizza I’ve ever had! Granted, I am born and raised in Dripping Springs and have grown up on Grand Slam Pizza but as adult I continue to go back because it is the best pizza in town. The owners are incredibly kind and hard working. I love them and I love their pizza!

Decided to try this place out. Seen it but never been before. Got two medium pizzas for my family for carry-out (a veggie and a Sausage and pepperoni). Both were amazing. LOADED with toppings and delicious. The staff (which from the other comments were probably the owners) were nice and friendly. Will definitely be coming back for more.

The owners and the young woman who works in the kitchen are genuinely some of the kindest people I have met in this life! The pizza was absolutely amazing- you can tell how it's made with love and care (something that's rare to find these days!) My husband and I will definitely be back soon!

They are the ONLY place anywhere nearby that makes fajita and Mexican style pizzas. We used to order taco pizzas at Pizza Hut when I was little and I miss it. Refried beans, salsa, lettuce, cheese, choice of meat and it hit the spot. Grand slam is the closest thing to that and they make it good! Their other pizzas are great too. We order online with a card and they have it read at the right time. Arcade games are inside for the kids and people love a pizza restaurant salad and pizza bar. It’s not a large buffet but will satisfy kids who can gobble up pizza nonstop. They’re always making more for everyone. I’ve never had to ask for them to make new ones. They really do need a place of their own that doesn’t share a parking lot with UPS, the deli next door and other stores so there’s more room to park. While I’m a bit of a pizza snob, I really enjoy smaller places with a smaller menu. Plus, they give that Tex Mex twist with the flavors. They’re supporters of local sports too. Sweet, hardworking family and keep Drip small.

The owner is so kind and so is his wife. (Or vice versa) I came in hungry with only 5$ asking for just a slice cause that’s all I can afford, the gave me two old slices on the house, refusing to let me pay. When I have enough money, I will be back to order properly, tip, and enjoy the food. Ordered a couple pizzas here while we were in the area and went to pick them up. Great little mom and pop shop and the owners were so very friendly. The pizza was quite good in a way that wasn’t greasy and just well made. This isn’t fancy, gourmet pizza but it’s better than the fast food chains as you still feel good after eating it. You can taste the simple quality. I live 25 minutes or so away but will definitely call in an order to pick up once in a while! Love supporting small local businesses too!

Ordered delivery! it was prompt and the pizza was Hot and Delicious! We ordered an Extra Cheese, Pepperoni & Sausage and a Veggie pizza. Both were delicious not too doughy and plenty of cheese! This will be our new go to spot.

Im not sure about the complaints about the buffet but i had zero issues with getting food. They have spaghetti and a salad bar to eat while waiting for pizzas. We came in at lunch and i was able to get 5 slices of different kinds. The couple running the place are so sweet and attentive. They are also great with kids and interacted with mine and another family while there. The pizza is fresh and pretty dang good. You cant beat 2 medium pizzas for 10 dollars. I will definately be returning just off the welcoming vibe alone. Its hard to find a nice mom and pop spot that feels nostalgic as well these days.

Pizza was super good! And the owners were kind! There's a lot across the street a truck driver can pull in and park their truck w trailer in. It might be a tight turn to get it facing back towards the road once your in so eyeball it before you commit to pulling into the lot. Was driving looking for parking so I could finally get something to eat and it was delicious!

We came for the pizza lunch buffet. There were two pies sitting out with a couple of different types of pizza on each. There was a salad bar with lettuce and a few vegetables and three types of dressing, however they gave me spinach when I asked. There was some tea and a soda machine with a few types of soda. I believe it was $9 per person for the buffet. They did bring some new pepperoni pizzas out while we were there so we got full off of pepperoni/sausage pizza and salad. The taste was decent. It was clean and quiet, and the people were friendly.

Their buffet is so good! The price is pretty unbelievable, also. We got there a little after 6 and they were pretty busy so we had to wait for pizza, but it was delicious and the owners are incredibly nice. Definitely going back.

Update January 2022. I have reduced my rating from 5 to 3 stars after noting at last visit that the ice cream machine has been removed, apparently permanently. I have always considered the ice cream to be a big part of the appeal. I can only imagine the difficulty of operating a restaurant during COVID, but eliminating a staple element from the menu with no price reduction can only further discourage your regular customers. It is a deal breaker for me and I likely won't be back. ............. The low reviews must be from chronic whiners. There is not a friendlier proprietor in town than Mr. Lee. He always thanks you upon entry and exit, and he is a great favorite amongst the high school athletic teams as he is a regular supporter. No, for god's sake, this is NOT gourmet pizza. Anyone expecting all you can eat pizza, salad, pasta, soda AND dessert (soft serve ice cream) at $6.95 to be the best pizza in town will be disappointed. What you WILL get is tasty, edible pizza in a variety of combinations, and a friendly smile from the staff. And for those who complain that there are just 2-3 pizzas on the serving line at any one time... DUH.. that's so when you get a slice(s) it is hot and fresh! I've been here scores of times, including occasional visits where all the pizza was gone. I can't remember ever having to wait more than 3-4 minutes for new, hot, fresh pizza to show up. To the gal who gave a one-star review because their delivery driver was too scared to drive down her street at night? Move to a safe neighborhood, and next time limit your ratings to an assessment of the food!

The buffet didn’t have a lot of food on it. Barely any variety. Great price but really getting what you pay for. Pizza quality on buffet below average. Salad bar was good. I’m likely to give it another shot ordering off the menu. Seem like very nice people running the place.

Something feels amiss with the high ratings of this restaurant. I know tastes vary, that some restaurants have good days and bad days, and that sometimes raters will overlook somethings when a restaurant is exceptional in other areas, but nothing about this place seems to warrant 4 stars. The pizza was mediocre. 11 year old compared it to Chuck E. Cheese pizza from 5 years ago. 16 year old, husband, and myself were equally unimpressed. The pizza was in short supply even though it was 12:30 on a Saturday and they were not overly busy or so slow enough that more pizza would have gone to waste. The salad bar was fine but not exceptional. The "ice cream" was soft serve. Their serving ware consisted of paper plates, plastic bowls for the salad, plastic utensils, and styrofoam cups. Tables and chairs were lawn furniture.

They are cheap with the pizza. He will not make a pizza that has more than 1 topping. Owner is not customer friendly. Not a fan of this place. The buffet is small and he only puts 2 or 3 pizzas out at a time, therefore you have to wait a long time to get a couple of pieces of pizza. They ran out of spaghetti noodles and said it will take 20 minutes to cook more. Not sure why you don't watch your food on the buffet. Don't come here, go some where else. See photo, 7 pm and no pizza on the buffet. I always like to support a local owned business, but this is not the place.

DONT ORDER THE BUFFETT No Pizzas on the Buffet I placed a bad review earlier but removed it. However, after having read the many identical complaints I've decided to let other people what the owner's already know. I'm not sure how there are so many 5 * ratings. Should've trusted my gut when 3 of us walk in and there's only one pies worth out on the counter. Yea nice people but I'm hungry and only got a few slices for my money.
