I've been to a few 3fe cafes but this visit was the best. Their filter coffee and food was sublime. The Christmas bap was so good with the turkey sausage, stuffing & cranberry sauce (12e). That should be an all-year-round offering. 10/10 sandwich. We also got the scrambled eggs on toast (8e) which was tasty. The filter coffees were really good too and our server offered a free refill. We got a 2.5e peanut & oil "bite". A little bit pricey but it is city centre. The cafe was half-full by the time we came in mid-morning on a Monday between Christmas & NY. Friendly staff. Our seats, before we sat down, were a little bit crumby so had to wipe it clean ourselves. Just the two toilets for the establishment.
Lovely place ❤️ Very friendly staff, ideal for our Monday morning breakfast as it wasn’t crowded. The food is delicious and flavourful, loved my breakfast bap so much! Coffee is excellent as well - one can tell this is an independent shop and cares about quality. Bonus points for being extremely child friendly. From offering high chair, to buggy storage space to slicing and prepping food with some dietary requirements we had for our child. Most lovely people, couldn’t recommend enough!
Having drooled over the Instagram pictures, I finally got to visit here last week with my family. We were not disappointed. All of the food we had was amazing. Some really interesting combination that worked brilliantly. We tasted a bit of everyone's food and we were amazed by how good everything was. Real outstanding dishes were the soup, scotch egg, lamb burger and we all chose a different favourite dessert, since we got all of the options, it doesn't matter which you pick, everything is great! The staff were helpful and friendly, the drinks were good (especially their homemade lemonades). I have no doubt that I will be visiting here again, maybe for breakfast instead of dinner next time, since the photos are making me desperate for pancakes!
Very enjoyable space for Brunch. Fantastic service and fast also. Calm & Collected inside with great cappuccino's and coffees, they even Have Nitro coffee. The Brunch Menu is also very good, healthy dishes with a great assortment of pastries for those who like that also. Would recommend the place!
I absolutely love 3fe. It is the only roasters in Dublin that offers consistently good filter coffee — it is always there & quality is guaranteed! 3fe would be my go-to place for decaf coffee beans too. Recently I had lunch at Gertrude and was amazed with the food. There are plenty vegan & vegetarian options tasty on their own, but they can be easily customised if you want to add meat. Pastries are ok, wouldn’t be my favourite.
We went here on Christmas Eve and had such a lovely experience. Staff were great and the food was lovely. Relaxed atmosphere to have small kids with you.
Very delicious breakfast! We had the poached eggs on toast and it came with nice salad and pickles onions! The avocado ado toast was also great! And the overnight oats a dream!!
I recently visited and everything was amazing! Alexia, one of the staff members, was the best. She helped us choose the best food on the menu and was incredibly kind and generous. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her friendly demeanor made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place!
3fe was the best out of 7 cafés we visited in Dublin. They have very good beans, and perfect temperature and nice service. Food is ok-ish.
Unsure if the English language is equipped well enough to do this place justice. Exceptional on all fronts, not only a solid 10 on both coffee and food (which it always is) but the detail paid supreme attention to as far as customer service is concerned is second to none. Jason in particular is an out n out gentlemen, his knowledge of product, helpfulness and customer service always fighting an eternal battle to see where he's best.
Nabbed a last minute table here for lunch with a friend. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was lovely. The pictured ham and cheese toasty was excellent, very delicious. My only slight niggle with the food was that some of my salad pieces were quite large/difficult to eat without making a show of yourself.
We came for a brunch last weekend and we loved it! People are super friendly and the food is generous and excellent! Absolutely recommend it 🙏
I really loved the menu here and it took me a while to decide on the tonkotsu pork sandwich with the smoked almond broccolini on the side. Despite the pork being fattier than I expected the flavour in both of these dishes was wonderful. Although I did have fomo looking at the fried chicken and pancakes, so I will definitely be back to sample more. The staff were really lovely and helpful too!
Really friendly staff and brunch was one of the best I’ve had in Dublin!!! Highly recommend the freshly baked cookies and a flat white 👌🏼👌🏼
The menu here is somewhat hipster, but very well executed and delicious. I enjoy the crab and Eggs although today I had the Gertrude Stack. I also liked the Tonkatsu sandwich and the Apple fritters from a previous visit. Their coffee is one of the rare good ones in Dublin. It is served at the optimal temperature for drinking, and with the right amount of acidity. Oat milk is available at 50 cents more. I also like the fact that there is free WiFi available to customers.
Such a cute little find! Incredible food, good portions and really fast service. Would definitely visit again if I come back to Dublin.
This is some of the best coffee we’ve ever had. And we’ve had some really good coffee. Super light, crisp, chocolaty. Everyone is super friendly and atmosphere is chill. Hash browns and pancakes were 💯
The best southern food spot in Dublin. The chicken waffles are absolutely delicious, the strawberries & cream dessert is to die for, the staff is very nice and the decoration is lovely and modern.
Absolutely lovely lunch! Our server Tony was amazing – best service experience in years! Ham and cheese toasty with mushroom soup was delicious!
Great experience brunching there! Coffee, food and atmosphere were terrific. 100% recommended.
One of the best cafes in Dublin. Coffee is always amazing. Small menu which makes it easy to choose as everything is super tasty and fresh!
What an awesome place in Dublin and best coffee in town . Lovely service and while not tested, the food looked amazing! Best oat cappuccino I had in Dublin !
We didn't expect this place to be that good! The food we had was amazing and also the staff was super nice. Highly recommended!
Great coffee, excellent pancakes, lovely staff, chilled atmosphere. We may have found our new favorite breakfast place!!
Always a great place for brunch and good coffee
We came here over a year ago and still talk about how the pancakes were the best pancakes we have ever eaten!! Highly recommend eating here!
Great place and great food! Coffee was good but unfortunately the milk was too hot - perhaps a barista in training?
Nice little brunch date at this spot a few weeks ago. The service was great, with the staff being very friendly and orders delivered in good time. Coffee was great and we both ordered the smashed avocado dish, which was tasty and filling. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the think “fluffy” slices of bread, which turns a little soggy from all the toppings after a while, but my partner on the other hand loved it (so really up to preference).
One of our go-to brunch places, as it's nearby and they have great menus! :) Went here for 3 times and tried their Pancakes with berries, Breakfast bap, and coffees. Big portions for the pancakes, fluffy cinnamon pancakes with maple syrup and fresh berries, yumm! The breakfast bap is very good as well, sausage meat in patty form with a unique squared egg, and the spiced mayo is delicious! 🤤
Very nice place for Brunch: busy but not too packed, interesting menu choices and very tasty, and good atmosphere. I can totally recommend the eggs & beet. The menu offers some of the classics but there are also some nice innovations to change from the usual brunch you will find everywhere. I removed one star because service is very slow to place an order. Took forever. Once you ordered, everything goes quick though!
Really tasty brunch - I got the buttermilk chicken stack with honey butter and fermented hot sauce. Staff were very friendly but service was a tad slow. It was busy at the time so hopefully shouldn't be an issue going forward. Looking forward to going back and trying their dinner menu. Location is handy on Pearse Street and decor is quirky and cool.
We went to Gertrude for Sunday brunch. Contrary to the one star reviews the coffee was warm and tasty. We started with the salmon snack. Small but delicious. I then moved to scrambled eggs with crab. It was a unique brunch dish and their own fermented hot sauce made all the difference. It was so good that I had to ask for some extra :) The decoration is very tasteful as well I have to say. Different shades of blue makes the place very cozy. One recommendation; I would love to see a dish with avocado and poached eggs :) And maybe some healthy smoothies. Will visit again for sure.
The coffee was alright, but barista was too distracted and I had to wait quite a bit to get my simple order done.
Food was ok - portions were good but there was some inconsistency. My plate has a lot of onions but my friends with the same dish didn't. Food was a little greasier than I'd like as well but the flavours were good! It was pretty busy so had to flag the server a few times to ask for glasses, water, to order etc. Food came out fast enough though. Interior had a somewhat industrial feel and it was a little loud because of how busy it was.
Nice food, poor service. Interesting menu with lots of choice and tempting options. The experience was let down significantly by the poor service. It took 15 minutes for an order to be placed. Coffee arrived, but a spoon and milk had to be requested. Menu promises free coffee top up’s....that’s assuming that a server will come back to your table or you can catch their attention. Would I return? Maybe if I happened to be passing but would not otherwise.
Arrived and told there was no tables despite lots of empty ones. Looked at website, reserved table for 10 minutes later, walked in and was served. Service otherwise was nice but slow. Food okay.
First 2 pictures are the Chorizo Hash I received, the 3rd is what other reviewers have received when ordering same. It's laughable! Enough said!
