This place gets better every time I go. It is one of the, if not THE, best mediteranean restaurants in Buffalo. Yes, because of the food. The food is consistently outstanding, hit the spot EVERY time. The portions are flavorful & generous. But also, the hospitality. Walking in there is like you've returned home to your middle eastern cousins that you never knew you had. Expert Tip: Bring people to order more & share. Don't skip dessert. Order an extra garlic sauce. Make sure you meet Musa.
This is an underrated GEM that deserves to be teeming with patronage. They know how to deliver FLAVOR and what they offer is just that: flavorful, aromatic, perfectly spiced and seasoned fresh delicious TOP TIER Lebanese fare. They are known for their roasted chicken, but they are bringing so much more. I think the location is tricky and makes them overlooked, so perhaps a cute outdoor patio area with hanging lights to garner the attention of busy suburban passersby would be just the thing to bring in the hoards that this cut-above culinary establishment deserves. Update Jan 25, 2026 We had our pre-storm feast yesterday at one of our favorite places, Almaza Grill. So much flavor: the way it should be. Nourishment for the soul, not just the body. Moussa is generous and kind, and he sent us home with EVOO, spices, and extra pita with their famous garlic sauces. We like dining in AND bringing food home with us. It’s that good. Perfect counter for the cold weather. ❄️ 🔥
0utstanding lebanese food.. All food is outstanding and made too order... The owner and his family treat You like you are part of their family.. The\nRotisserie chicken is the best in Western New York. All food is high quality.. highly. recommended
Great food flavors, rotisserie chicken “out of this world”, lamb was super tender, combo appetizer was enough to feed 6 of us on our Lebanese journey. Finished with the baklava sampler 😘chef’s kiss!
Just incredible. If you're looking for an authentic experience. This is it. I don't know that I can recommend the chicken over the lamb. The lamb is absolutely perfect. When someone is looking for lamb, this is what they're looking for, though they don't always get it which is perhaps because the lamb has been frozen.? This lamb never Frozen. Absolutely perfect to the tooth. Somehow the chicken may be better. I'm not certain but it may be better. Obviously family owned and operated. Just a joy to go there and eat.
Rotisserie chicken is a must. Perfectly grilled, seasoned well and has a nice char. Skin is crispy and the meat is juicy. My wife rarely eats the breast meat but she really enjoyed this one. The superstar is their garlic sauce that brings that necessary acidity that cuts the grease bringing everything into balance. Their basmati rice and salata was really good. We also enjoyed their Kibbie, where the juices from the beef were locked in perfectly inside the fried batter. Will come back!
Mousa has succeeded at creating an authentic Lebanese experience in Buffalo! Best Lebanese food I’ve had in the US in years. Amazing meat quality, bread quality, sauce quality; really best food quality overall! The sauces were amazing! The prices are really good. The portions were also very generous! I highly recommend the mixed grill!
Lebanese food is a cuisine that has a little bit of flavor for all tastes. In WNY the options for fresh food that has layers of flavors, herbs and spices is minimal so when you find a diamond around the corner your whole palate is transported to another region of our world! I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world and let me tell you their Fattoush salad is as amazing as it is in Knightsbridge, London or the Kings Road. The freshness of the sumac is addictive and refreshing at the same time and a must try for summer! Definitely try the Kibbie a delicious pocket of perfectly spiced meat and onions. And of course who could pass up Rotisserie Chicken which a 1/2 chicken comes with two sides. Try something other than fries or hummus is my suggestion, that Baba Ghanoush (eggplant) is roasted which gives the whole dish a stunning taste. The smoothies go crazy too. Honestly I’m still smiling from great eats lol.
Wonderful experience here! Guessing the owner was the waiter. Wonderful man that was very kind and very helpful for our first time here. We started with the rakakat bi jibneh and the vegetarian combo. Very tasty stuff. Then the half chicken with veggies rice and the loubie bzeit. Very good but the white meat was a tad dry. Overall good food and great service.
Amazing food I truly enjoyed. I never had Lebanon food ever before I would rate this place five out of five. I would love to try rotisserie chicken next time I didn’t get to try that right now, I had chicken Shawarma and falafel and they were amazing. Falafel was crispy the way I like. .
We absolutely LOVED our dinner here! Food is authentic, fresh and made to order! We shared the vegetarian platter(falafel, hummus, baba, grape leaves & tabbouleh)! YUM! My mom also ordered the 1/4 chicken dinner (white meat)w/two sides(basamati rice & tabbouleh again bc we LOVE it). Finished our dining experience with to go desserts..assorted baklava! You won't be disappointed! If you love lebanese food I highly recommend you check them out! Lots of VEGAN options too for those looking to add restaurants to their dining experience!
Had an amazing Friday date night dinner at Almaza! The entire restaurant smells amazing from the aromas of spices and charcoal. We ordered the hummus and veggie/pickle plate appetizer. Everything was really fresh and flavorful. Do not sleep on the garlic sauce!! So good! For entrees, we tried the Shakshuka, the Mediterranean Beef Kafta plate and had a side of sweet corn. Loved the rice with vermicelli and almonds and the Shakshuka was great. The flavor on the beef kafta was delicious with a really earthy flavor from the cinnamon and sumac. We also ordered a whole rotisserie chicken to take home! Service was fast and friendly and food was out of this world. Can’t wait to come back again for dine-in and take-out! Highest recommendation!
Have been ordering and picking up takeaways from here and been impressed a lot with their Whole Rotisserie Chicken! In my opinion they have the best grilled chicken in town ! The whole chicken which is grilled to perfection with Lebanese spices is served with pita bread and garlic sauce ! Yet to try dine in here and the shawarma’s which I’m sure would be good ! Will be a bigger hit if they can keep the quality as they have now !
We really enjoyed our dinner here at Almaza. Service was fantastic and the food! Oh the food was delicious — not one thing left on our plates. We were so full that only one of us could handle dessert. The dessert was also good. The iced teas deserve an honorable mention because I could drink it all day. Definitely will be back!
Great dinner the other night at Almaza Lebanese restaurant. Started with Pitas and the best garlic dip ever, alongside an order of Lebneh, which is yogurt with olive oil and zatar. Then we had a whole charcoal rotisserie chicken, grilled lamb plate, and for sides, hummus, tabouleh, basmati rice with almonds, loubie bzeit (green beans in tomatoes and garlic), and a cucumber yogurt salad. They are known for the chicken, and apparently on many evenings you need to order ahead to ensure you get one, but we were lucky enough to walk into one. Was super flavorful with this great mahogany colored caramelized skin that we fought over, and a great spicy green coriander( I think) sauce on the side. Lamb was delicious, and the green beans out of this world, although I have a soft spot for these. The hummus was heavy on Tahiti, just how I like it too, and the Tabouleh, lots of fresh parsley, as it should be, and a tangy sumac taste. We took home a couple orders of baklava for dessert. I couldn't touch them until morning, but was four different varieties in the container. All delicious, but the pistachio was my favorite. The menu, and I, encourage sharing, with several family size options. On the night we were there, a Saturday, it appeared that the owner was hosting, cook, and waiter, along with a helper, so be ready to relax, take your time, and enjoy your meal. Don't expect to rush. It is a small place, so reservations might be wise.
The great: service was fast friendly despite being busy. The kibbie was perfectly fried, very flavorful, and juicy. The good: the falafel and kafta were slightly overcooked but had amazing flavor. The not so good: Rotisserie chicken, grilled chicken breasts, and have decent flavors but we're all very dry.
