I always drive by this place but never been. Finally today i was craving a donut, and went in. The attendant (guessing the owner) was so attentive and sweet. Very nice lady. The donuts were huge! (Compared to your big chain competitors). My card was having a bit of trouble at payment time. One of the regulars offered to pay for my donuts and you could tell they loved her and this donut shop(last minute my card went through). It was very sweet and I felt the love they had for this place. It was affordable and great tasting. I will be back! !! 10/10! Stuffed croissants are so good!

So good I love how soft the yummy fresh doughnuts are especially first thing in early morning ☀️ sugar twists are my favorite!!!🤤 Ham and cheese croissant is awesome too!!!

I have been coming here since about 1987 when my dad used fo take us before he dropped us at school and went to work. If we got up good at 5am and got dressed and ready on time, he would bring us here or to Aunt Emma's restaurant further down the road. I used to always get the same thing, it's like a tortilla with fruit and a sugar type frosting on it. I also love the maple bars. So good. One thing that i always wonder is why they leave the doors propped open all night long. Weird.

I've been coming here since 1994. Always the best donuts and fresh. They have a very unique bear claw, apple filling its so good, a must try..and the buttermilk and old fashions are amazing.

It’s a donut shop and that’s the atmosphere. We got a half dozen donuts every one of them were perfect. We got 2 apple fritters and they were so flavorful and not overly greasy. Sorry no pictures, they were eaten to fast.

Friendly and fast service! I tried the apple fritter and the Old Fashioned and my opinion is - skip the apple fritter and DEFINITELY try the Old Fashioned. While I was trying to decide, another customer came in and said I had to try the OF so I asked the store worker to please give me one. Oh my. It was crispy on the outside but SO FLUFFY and soft inside! Definitely worth a visit to try one!

Cake, yeast raised, buttermilk and old fashioned were perfect, and orange frosted cruller was something I’d never seen before. Same for the fruit burritos, which were also tasty. Decent prices as well. 6 donuts and 2 fruit burritos were less than $12. Easy parking and fast service. Worth a trip from anywhere in San Diego.

They don't have a shiny new store like that other place in Santee, but they have better tasting donuts the owner and his family run the shop and they are so very nice. Low prices, good selection, and of course delicious donuts. Has cozy dining area and decent parking. Stop by and get a dozen to go or sit and enjoy a donut all to yourself. Release your inner Homer Simpson.

Donuts are good anytime. My only problem is that I remember when donuts were $5.00 doz. Oh thats a baker's doz. Have a good donut day. DC.

Donuts were great and delicious. However, 1 star off because their price board on the wall does not have accurate prices for their donuts. When questioned about these bogus numbers, the reply was that some of the numbers fell off and they couldn't retrieve them. Well, there's a counter below the price board so the wayward digits would've just fell down there and they couldn't be bothered to get the numbers and reattach them? Unacceptable answer in my book and one wonders what else they skip doing because they can't be bothered to fix such a minor issue.

No frills, nothing fancy, nothing trendy. This is as classic of a donut shop as it gets. Fresh donuts in all the standard varieties. This isn’t the place you go to try crazy donuts with a bunch of toppings. You go here to get good quality, standard donuts.

Decent donuts although they have a problem with separating donuts into additional bags they try to stuff them all in one bag. So if you don't want powdered donut on your chocolate donuts then be prepared for attitude if you ask for another bag

Love this donut place. But I've noticed in the last six months that the donuts taste like the machines haven't been cleaned. Not all the donuts just certain kinds. Super bummer because this used to be My hands down fave

They were in the process of making more donuts so the selection was small. The blueberry buttermilk donut was amazing!!! Wasn't quite worth the crappy piss poor attitude we got from the worker. We weren't the only ones who got snapped at and I'm sure we won't be the last. She needs to work on her people skills big time. Other than that not much else to report, it was just another donut shop. Also I found out that they say they are the only ones who make the blueberry buttermilk donuts but they aren't.

My first time going there and while getting a dozen donuts. I saw a couple flies just crawling on the donuts. I made sure I didn't get the donuts where the flies are at. I was so disappointed the donuts tasted weird. It tasted like old oil and didn't taste fresh. It was nice she gave me three extra donuts. Very friendly lady and great service. We ate just two donuts and thrashed the rest. Never again going there.

The lady getting my donuts was so rude 😭😭 I asked for a dozen glazed donut holes (which she gave me no problem) and a dozen regular. First of all the donuts taste like used charcoal. Second, I ordered maybe 4-5 donuts for the box and asked how many I had left and she said "Too many. Hurry up" and I said what? and she repeated herself while gesturing to speed it up, meanwhile I thought I was being quick because I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I was so taken aback that I almost left but I really wanted some donuts. She kept pushing me to hurry the entire rest of my order and was overall extremely rude with everything she said until it came time to pay. Now, I was going to give this a 1 star rating, but the prices are great so it gets a 2.

Good donuts, small little place .. but cashier lady with a big attitude problem.

Donuts were questionable. Tasted funky. Like a bad funk.... Got skipped over in line to help regulars. Seeing all the donuts in the window was so neat. Had to throw out 3 1/2 of our 6 because of the terrible taste. For context purposes, the ones that we did eat, were different types too.

Very rude & scary- looking woman who was extremely disrespectful to our kids (who practice THEIR manners ). Very impatient and terrible attitude. Plus second time in a row their selection was sparse . Won’t go back , this is final straw after going there for very long time . There are other donut spots just as good afterall

Sorry but the donuts were not fresh some selections don’t even taste like dough or even have any flavors to it. The oil which they use is not up to the standard cooking oil. Because it smells really strong and old. Two old couples with no customer service experience and she was in a hurry although we were the only ones there, asking my 5 year old to pick quicker. After rating one donut I asked her nicely what brand oil do you use. She replied “I don’t know they say it’s palm oil”. We love a fresh dozen of donuts but I was disappointed to spend $14 per dozen and this bad quality.

So that was my experience at this NASTY donut place. Try DONUT BROS down the street so so much better DOUNUTS and service.
