This place has great simple Mexican food. Not to be missed.
Lucy's catered our event at the Plaza Theater. The owner was incredibly kind when taking our order, hand delivered it himself, set everything up and added in delicious complimentary items like cookies, brownies, and quesadillas. Everything was delicious and we are excited to be back in El Paso again soon to eat more food from Lucy's.
Lucy's is great! I eat here every time I go to King's X to watch a football game. It's adjacent and they share a wall which has an opening. The man who takes orders and serves is super friendly and makes it fun to go there. I usually order and then go sit in the bar (Kings X) and he brings me my food and drink. I usually get the nachos and they are excellent. Once I got the deluxe nachos and I wouldn't recommend them. They come with a soupy guacamole and refried beans and quickly became a big gloppy mess. But the regular nachos are fantastic. Haven't tried the other items but will next time. I do recommend Lucy's. There are other locations as well.
I've been a huge fan since they had a spot off of Lee Trevino.. Every time I go, the food is absolutely delicious and they're always very nice people. One of the hidden gems in the 915 for sure. Thank you!
I got the Tacos Antonia and they were fantastic! I forgot to take a picture before I dug in so now all I have is an empty plate. 11 out of 10, would recommend. Wish I were local so I could eat here more often.
Dropped in for a midday bite and found Lucy’s buzzing with energy—clearly a favorite among locals. Despite the brisk crowd, the service was impressively swift and friendly. The daily lunch special? 🔥 On point. It kicked off with a comforting bowl of sopa that set the tone just right. Then came the main event: a perfectly crisp taco, a rich and cheesy chile relleno, and a tender enchilada that practically melted on the plate. Each bite was a love letter to El Paso’s culinary soul. And the salsa? Bright, bold, and addictive. Lucy’s isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an El Paso institution. Bonus points: their kitchen also fuels the legendary Kings X next door. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out on a true borderland gem.
I love the people who work here was fantastic! Very kind and well cared for us 😊 the server gentleman brought the 3 additional cups of water to drink even though we didn't say. The food was definitely authentic and yummy. We picked the patio to stay with the pup was also a good chill sunshine area.
Excellent place for home made kind of mexican food. The portions are great, and I love the flavor. My recommendation: Barbacoa Burrito. It's the best one I have tried here in El Paso. Everytime someone comes to visit I take them there as part of El Paso experience, and everybody have love it. The space is small, around eight tables, but if they are full you can always go to the bar next door King's X, literally the other room, and they will attend you there. And the service is always good.
The Lucy's restaurant space is very small, it has a total of 4 booths and about 5 tables for 4 people. It is an old building a bit of an eye sore, however, the food and staff make up for it. It is connected to King's X Bar. The staff is very comfortable, friendly, chatty, and helpful. I recommend coming to this place and trying out their soups and their tacos. You could have a drink at the bar and order food from the restaurant or eat at the restaurant and get drinks from the bar next door. Very mexican delicious food.
Yummy and right off the freeway. Try the tacos antonia, tlapeño soup (chicken, chipotle, avocado, veggies, cheese), the carnitas, or anything with beans. My daughter loved her bean, cheese, and avocado burrito. The queso had a peculiar sweetness to it, but everything else was great and the waitress was friendly. Clean bathrooms, and there are pool tables in the bar right next door.
I always enjoy my time and food at Lucy's. Service is great and I've never had a bad meal. Had Red Chilaquiles and Eggs for breakfast and it was delicious!
We went to Lucy’s on the recommendation of it being a cool little dive bar that has great breakfast. It is definitely a cool little dive bar, although the breakfast was just OK. I ordered Lucy’s signature dish the Machaca and it was good, but not great and I probably wouldn’t order it again. The menudo was good too, although a little watery and they should bring cilantro. It did come with lime, onion, and dried oregano. The salsa and chips were really good. You definitely should not come here for the coffee. There are way better coffee places around. Lucy’s has a dive bar ambience with the front section for eating and then two doors that go into a bar section. We only went for breakfast, so I didn’t get to see the liveliness and atmosphere of the bar, but it is the definition of the dive bar. Seems like a great place to grab some cheap drink drinks, hang out with friends and watch the game. The service was ok and the cleanliness was mediocre.
Ordered Uber eats hoping I would get some authentic Mexican food. The delivery was fast. I ordered the combo plate chips and salsa. The taco meat was so gross. The rice was dry and bland. The beans were just bland. Salsa was nasty I was expecting red salsa or Pico. Basically I threw it away because it was hard to eat. Plus no plastic ware.... Definitely not like the Mexi food in Az or Cali disappointed. 😞😞😞😞😞
I'm not generally one to complain but they kinda poisoned me. I'm severely allergic to all fruits and so I talked to them about what was safe on the menu. I ordered chicken tacos and they were really sweet. I had a moderate allergic reaction and I asked them again what was in there. They said they shouldn't have been sweet and denied anything was in them. I had everyone at the table taste them and they confirmed they were very sweet and one person said they tasted like pineapple juice which is one of my worst allergies. I asked them if it was possible they were cross contaminated by the grill and they said they hadn't made anything with pineapple the entire day, apparently Noone wanted al pastor the entire day. The food tastes great but dont trust them to keep your allergens out of the food. Safe for non allergic folks.
The food was good, but the service was awful. We waited 10 minutes just to be acknowledged and get water, chips, and salsa, then another 5 to place our order. I considered leaving due to the lack of attention, but finding another breakfast spot while starving felt like more hassle. Once the food arrived, the server never checked on us again.
