I found this amazing hidden gem of a jazz club by chance. Great music and great concept. Easy to park. I definitely will be back.

Popped in for a quick drink while we waited for our ride to pick us up. They had a nice jazz band playing great music. Had to take a double take on the bartenders and they are twins! great atmosphere, drink prices were ok and the music was nice. We left feeling what a nice choice to stop at!

Cool small place with good food and live bands that change. Came on a Monday night to watch a friend play drums and it was fun. Ordered pretzels and they were yummy. So was the peppermint martini. The whole place was managed by a set of identical blonde twins. We didn’t notice when we first got there and sat at the bar. We noticed after we had ordered our drinks and the other half came and asked us if we had been taken care of. We will definitely be coming back to listen to more bands. Music wasn’t too loud and you could talk to others without having to scream at each other.

Favorite place in Broward for a night out, hands down! Great beer selection, excellent seared ahi tuna and best of all the bands that play every night of the week.

Ok, BJB aka Blue Jean's Blues, is a Hidden Jewel! They serve not your average bar food, respectable drinks and Real Live music. The location, is tucked away in-between a group of stores, restaurants, and bars. It's Dark (don't be deterred) inside all the time even though 'Happy Hour' starts at 11 am. (There are little cafe tables/chairs outside if you need a dose of light😎) The Bartenders are welcoming, kind and funny! The location is prime for tourists (being centrally located near the hotels, intercoastal and beaches, however BJB has a loyal following of locals as well. This is no surprise, because because insiders know, there is nightly music featuring Jazz, Blues, and Rock & Roll with some of the most raw talented singers and musicians on the Southern Floridian Circut!! The crowd is eclectic and lively. You have the group of Ladies hanging out (ages 20-90), a possible tryst in the making, couples that may just want to come out and dance or merely a inquiring soul who wants to listen to some great live music. Now here is the Ahhh-mazing thing. They have 2 different featured performances (4-6pm) or (8-12am)!! You may even see a fellow musician sitting at the Bar listening, enjoying, vibing who will jump up on stage impromptu and bust a move lyrically (what a treat)!! We actually went a couple of nights and always stop by when we're in town. Monday night Kat Riggins (petite powerhouse) Tuesday was Ms.Val Tyson and Band (Gracious, Talented, Generous) who brought a tear to my eye with her tribute to John Singleton. Fabulous evening and thoroughly moved! Ohhhh and Pizza thin crust loaded with flava!! Drinks were on point. You don't need a designated driver when you can stroll (gliding by end of night) back to your accomodations!!! What an amazing night we had last night. I organized a work event here at Blue Jean Blues! As soon as I saw the line up for Tuesday nights with Valerie Tyson, I knew we had to have our event on a Tuesday night! She did not disappoint! We were on the dance floor grooving with her and her amazing band. We had a wonderful time! The food, drinks, and ambience was fantastic!!! We will definitely return!!

Tuesday night at 8pm is my absolute favorite. The Valerie Tyson band is absolutely astonishing. Great music great atmosphere great drinks.

Great food, service and group on. Had a fantastic night. Very welcoming and friendly. Happy hour 4 - 7pm. Live music until 11pm every night. We were at beachfront hotel and got an uber there after a couple recommended it. We went on our last night in fort laurderdale. Shame we didn't find sooner. Well worth a visit there.

Great spot i went on a Tuesday and it was pretty full. the app didn’t capture my reservation..so we waited for table to open and end up sitting with a woman and she brought in a very large DOG he was under the table. she keep feeding the dog food from her plate and DOG kept farting!! it was HORRIBLE!! She was up dancing and having fun left his smelly Butt at the table torturing us!! SOOO NOT OK!! “Service dog” The manager walked past and said so cute huh..we all said NO ITS NOT CUTE!! Hope to try visit one day MINUS the big dog under the table!!

They have the BEST Entertainment! Went on a Wednesday night. The performer sang played the keyboard, flute, classical and electric guitar, & harmonica. Wow he was Awesome.! Everyone was dancing. The staff is Always friendly and engaging. It's so nice to be able to get a bite or a drink at your table and then get up to dance a few and go back to your table. The bar is big and very fun to sit and enjoy the entertainment. We had a great evening and so will you.

Nice cozy venue. We had to wait about 20 mins for a table. The place was full to capacity. Live jazz band Bobbie Nathan was amazing!!! I love it here and I can't wait to go back!

Great Music and just a quick cab ride off the Ft Lauderdale strip. Get away from the overpriced drinks and get to BJB! Never know what you’ll hear but it’s live and it’s good! Two bands daily! Great prices and intimate dance floor. If your lucky you’ll see “double” behind the bar. Food until 1am most nights.

Absolutely excellent! This place is a little gem in South Florida nightlife! They have live music from excellent local artists who raise the energy in the place to the roof! Make sure you catch Dottie Kelly & The Rock the House Band when they play! They are absolutely amazing and they perfectly suit the very cool venue. The food and drinks are excellent and the staff and servers are awesome as well. I highly recommend this place. Go there and experience it. There are few real live music venues anymore. Places like this are a must in order to keep real music alive -and the way it should be experienced, and that is live!!!!!!

Last night was our first visit here in over 10 years and this place still does not disappoint. We were treated to an excellent live band, great pizza and sweet potato fries and house wine. Prices very reasonable, pizza incredibly tasty and above all, the service was excellent! We can’t wait to visit again.

We came in to listen to some live music after dinner last Sunday. The band we heard was great! Unfortunately, we came later so we didn't get to hear their whole set, but we wish we would have come earlier to hear it all. After that, the bar was trying a new karaoke/sing along thing for fun...and it was fun! Very causal and friendly. It wasn't super busy, being it was later on a Sunday, so they let my husband sing a couple of songs in a row even. They were super encouraging as well. Maria and the rest of the staff made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. The drinks were great and we had a blast.

Monday nights were great the jazz musician that plays is amazing he has 5+ instruments he plays and a great voice. We were pleasantly surprised on stumbling on this place. We enjoy any live music but the live jazz here was amazing !

2nd review - I am at Blue Jean Blues once a week and it has consistently great music and awesome, festive atmosphere! A good friend moved to Fort Lauderdale and we met her neighbors at Blue Jeans Blues on Friday night. Loved the entire area - great for listening to live music and walking around. BJB's has both outdoor and indoor live music. The Lucky Losers were playing inside, and I couldn't find the name of the band on the outside, but the lead female vocalist was awesome. We sat outdoors most of the evening where they also had an outdoor grill with inexpensive hot dogs, hamburgers, brats and sausage. We didn't eat but the restaurant is known for their pizza. I only had sparkling water, but I loved the music and the atmosphere, and we will be back here a lot. Highly recommend !

Absolutely love this place! You will always find amazing talent rolling through nightly with a variety of music genres and some of these folks will really floor you. The food is surprisingly awesome! Haven’t had something from here that I haven’t liked and I’ve tried the pizza, wings, quesadillas, chicken tenders, and a few other things (I’m a frequent flyer lol!). Drinks are great too and you can always find specials like Happy Hour or Martini Mondays. Check out the pear martini if you ever get a chance, my favorite. On cooler nights, seating can be offered outdoors. Such a great spot!!!

We have been looking for a more intimate place with live music and we found an amazing place here. We came sunday night to have a few drinks and listen to music my husband wouldn't get up and dance so I was seat dancing and your amazing Lisa came over and got me out on the dance floor, I haven't had so much fun in years. Excellent "Dive Bar".....drinks were excellent and the pizza made us come back twice more in a week. LIVE music was great. Seating was hard to come by, but we found bar rail seats and met the owners. The owners are 2 sisters and they run a great place. The vibe is small town inside the big city, which we loved. Employees were friendly and knowledgeable. You will not be disappointed if you go.

I love this place. Its a cozy venue with a bar, about 8-12 tables, a small stage, and a little dance floor. But Dont let that fool you! The food is decent, the staff are great- they have that small business vibe where they treat you like family 😊, and the crowd is of diverse age and color All looking to have a great time🎷💃💃🏾. This place does Not disappoint!! Here you'll see mostly mid aged-older adults 30s-100...the more mature crowd we shall say all happy and laughing. The band is Absolutely great, especially the lead female singer🔥!! They play all the fun classics and will definitely have you singing and dancing the night away. If you're lucky, you'll get to catch the older blind man (a former band dancer I hear) showoff his impressive moves...he's Still Got It🕺🏽!!!

If you’re looking for live blues , this is the perfect, I’m glad I came on a Saturday, there was a black jazz band playing that night that was absolutely amazing! 🎶 The music really set the vibe. Our bartender (a gentleman) was also very pleasant and attentive, checking in on us regularly. The only thing that gave me pause was the interaction with the owners. While they seemed very welcoming with others, they walked by us a few times without really greeting. As a Black customer myself, I don’t want to jump to conclusions , but it did leave me wondering if that may have played a part. As for the food , I ordered the shrimp, which tasted great, but for $25 the shrimp was surprisingly small. There was also a $5 cover charge I must’ve overlooked, so keep that in mind. Overall, it was a decent experience: amazing live music, good food, and great service from the bartender. Just a few things could’ve made it feel more inclusive and perfect.

One of the best burgers I’ve had anywhere. Super quick and great friendly bar staff. Highly recommended.

Family in town so we hung out after a long rainy day. Found this place in Google search & chose thinking was a chill jazz place. Was more blues style rock cover band. They weren't bad just not what we expected. One sister had a burger which she said was good. Service was good, didn't wait long for a server to approach; check back on us. Seemed to have a strong local following which is always good. Everyone was friendly and having fun. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Came on Thursday night. Great place. Band was good, not too loud(sat at the bar away from the stage). Crowd is mostly respectable adults 40 and up..The twin barmaids were very attentive and friendly. Food/drinks: pretty typical bar fare. Not bad. Not cheap but not too expensive either. Really loved the ambience...very positive and kind vibe/energy. Maybe it was the band.

My husband and I came in hopes of dancing since they have a jazz musician on Mondays. We were very happy with being able to cha cha, tango, and swing all in one night! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to practice their dancing. The drinks were great and service amazing. One of the locals told us the food isn't great but we also didn't have any so can't speak for it.

Cute lil Bar - we were in town and came for the live music, to our surprise the food was Delicious!!! We dined on the fish dip and Ahi Tuna - which was AWESOME we came back the next day! Our waiter Jonathan was the best!

Always a rarity to find live jazz and the band didn't disappoint, drinks were good, food was delicious, service was a bit on the slower side. Cant blame them, as the venue was full and it was only 2 servers between all the tables. Overall was a fun and great night, can't wait to come back!

Where we were sitting though, next to the tiny dancefloor spot, WAY too many people wanted to dance at the same time and we couldn't see the stage anymore...people were hovering over our table trying to dance. Our table even got knocked a few times. Maybe expand the dancefloor and don't put tables so close to it...

Service shortfall seems to be a common theme here. The music was great. Staff seriously overwhelmed on a Friday night. Pizza was tasty but mushy and greasy. Chicken quesadilla arrived without chicken. We chose not to complain, about the food, since the wait for our food order was easily 1 hour. What can I say? Don’t go there hungry?

I went on a Saturday night to enjoy some live music and good food. The place was packed not one empty seat, so It is best to make your reservations in advance if it is your first time visiting like me. Thankfully I read reviews and made my reservation. The V band was really good. I love that it's a diverse crowd and the band played a mixed genre of music as well. Initially, one of the female bartenders took our drink order but she came off very rude and just seemed like she did not want to be at work that night. She took one of our drink orders then went to walk away. We had to tell her we were not done ordering, and she rolled her eyes as if she was annoyed. Very unprofessional and unfriendly. Took us over 30min to get the drinks. Thankfully another waiter brought them out to us and took our food order. He was very professional, friendly, and attentive. I think he took care of almost every table that night. His name was Mike or Chris, I forgot. The prices were a little high and the food quality was good and it was all hot when it came out. Overall, it was ok. I wouldn't mind going back again as long as I do not get the same bartender.

Great place for music, specially for happy hour. Once happy hour is over drinks are expensive. Paid $100 for 3 shots of bourbon. Will I go back? Only during happy hour.

We decided to give this bar a try. The show was entertaining. Do not think you will find a young crowd here, mostly everyone was older than us and we are no spring chickens! We could only order pretzels and french fries since we are vegan. The place was pretty warm, especially where we sat, close to the windows. Bathroom was spotless. We might go back to spend a few hours drinking a beer and listen to some music.

The live music is great! The service is absolutely horrible. I’ve been several times and each time I’ve received very low quality service. The most recent visit our table was dealt an experience by Lisa that will make me never spend another dollar in that place. She was rude from the second she arrived, she got aggressive yelling and pointing her finger at one of our elder guest, she refused to serve everyone at our table, she proceeded to give horrible attitude our entire visit. A huge disservice to the hard working musicians everyone comes to see. My suggestion is go watch the bands at a different location.

I went to listen to the Valerie Tyson Band as a birthday celebration and they did not disappoint!! Great music and vibes! My thoughts about the food are not so forgiving. I was hungry and had hopes of finding something great on the menu. We ordered the shrimp and the Carolina gold wings (recommended by the waiter). The shrimp are popcorn shrimp with a dipping sauce and they were okay but I would never order them again. The sauce helped add some flavor to them because they were bland and not warm to the taste at all. The wings were terrible!! They were tasteless and ONLY drizzled in the sauce of your choice! I've never seen wings prepared like that and in fact some of the wings didn't have any sauce/coating on them at all. I complained to the waiter and owner who both offered to bring some more sauce but I said no thank you. I like my wings tossed in the flavor of my choice. In my mind, a nice place to go includes great music and atmosphere with delicious food and drinks. The drinks were great but I will never go there hungry again. I don't trust that anything will change about the food and the way it's prepared. They need to re-evaluate the cook or the food menu. I like seasoning on my food.

This establishment has a good atmosphere, and descent music. Overcrowded, and the wait staff was overwhelmed with the amount of people they had there. They catered mostly to a birthday party that was there. We tried to order more drinks several times, and attempted several times to get the wait staff attention, but they were more focused on the party group. We ordered one drink over an hour ago, the wait staff would walk by point at my wife for her drink and still never produced her drink if your hosting a party, have enough staff to cover the group, and your other patrons that are there. I somewhat recommend this establishment, somewhat. First time here, and maybe my last. If I was a critic, I give this place 2 out of 5 stars. Lester

It was a very mixed experience. The musician was amazing and it could have been great but the bartender really ruined it. We waited 30 minutes at the bar for her just to come over and take our order, she came back 10 minutes later to ask what we had ordered and it was probably another ten minutes before we got our drinks. We got pretzel bites and I would have expected to get more than 6 tiny bites and no silverware or napkins. When we got our bill she had overcharged us as well. I’m hoping it was just an off night but considering we were there early evening and they were no where near full it was pretty disappointing.

My wife and I reserved a table for ourselves and another couple. We’ve been to this establishment multiple times. When we arrived our table was an actual folding card table that was all the way in the back by the bathrooms and a door that was labeled office. The office was actually a liquor closet where multiple people came back reached over my wife to get into it to retrieve bottles of liquor. After multiple people reaching over my wife and banging into our chairs we brought it to the attention of a woman we thought was a manager. What we got was a lot of attitude. They acted as if we were the problem. I have never experienced anything like it. We moved the table forward and moved an empty table where our table was. Then the next time the bar back came back he proceeded to lecture my wife. This was a totally unacceptable experience and the staff was way out of line.

We were sat at a card table by the bathrooms and in front of the “office” where they keep the liquor. We tried to make the best of it but after the 5th time the bar backs came and reached over me to unlock the door and bang in to my chair, I had had enough. We complained to the manager who gave us a complete attitude and suggested that we move the tables around which we did. The next time the bar back proceeded to give a lecture about they needed to get in there. So they over booked and then acted like it was my fault that I was in there way. And for this I paid a cover charge. Unbelievable experience.

Went to see my friends band. We were the first ones there because we wanted to eat. We ordered a pizza at 6:00 before the band started. We were one of the only tables occupied. After watching orders of food coming out we asked our waiter where our pizza was since we had ordered before anyone else had even gotten there. He said it was coming. An hour later we were told that our order had gotten lost and it would take a long time if we ordered again. We were so hungry at that point that we left and went to another restaurant. Only got to hear my friends band for 45 minutes. Rated the food a 1 star because well...... we never ate !!

This place is incredibly overpriced for the quality of service and food. Waited over 15 to even be acknowledged by the bar tender (there were only 5 ppl in the entire restaurant). I came for live music and was just overly disappointed. Tab was over 100$ for wings, calamari (inedible) and 3 drinks (which were over 15$ each and served in a plastic cup). There are many many many other options extremely close by (Dune for example) that have a much better overall atmosphere and beach front, that it would cost you the same.

I am deeply disappointed to share my extremely negative experience at your establishment. My friends and I were subjected to shockingly rude and unprofessional service from two servers, Denise and Diane. Their behavior went far beyond simple poor service; it was discriminatory and frankly, abusive. Instead of welcoming us, we were treated with disdain and hostility, making it abundantly clear that our presence was unwelcome. This was evident in their demeanor, lack of smiles, and blatant disregard for our needs. Their actions were not only unprofessional but also targeted; we believe the poor treatment was directly related to our race of our large party. The specific instances of unacceptable behavior include: throwing straws and sugar packets at members of our party, and refusing to provide a beverage to one of my friends, then attempting to falsely charge her for it. This is simply unacceptable behavior from any service staff. While the music was enjoyable, the overwhelmingly negative impact of the appalling service rendered by Denise and Diane completely overshadowed any positive aspects of our visit. I strongly advise anyone considering visiting this establishment to carefully consider this account before doing so. I hope this serious issue will be handled to prevent similar incidents in the future. Such blatant disregard for customer service and potential racial bias is completely unacceptable. I was surprised to learn that Denise and Diane are the owners of this establishment. How unfortunate.

The atmosphere with live music is nice. The problem is that the waitress overcharged us. My husband asked for the check and didn't read it at that moment, he just paid. Next day I read the check and I noticed they overcharged us.

The bar was a great vibe. Food was You gotta get in the front you guys in the front The live music is great for a weeknight where nothing else is going on. However, the waitresses are terrible. Denise and Diane are twin 60-year-old waitresses who are mad With The life choices they have made and take it out on the customers. It did look like they were taking it out on certain customers, but we will not go there.

We booked a table for the early show, and when we arrived, there was already a group at our table. The waitress told us we were late and that there was nothing she could do. She then lost her temper and went to see the owner. The owner did nothing to understand the situation. So why even book? We used to go there every month. The service was terrible because the waitress was alone to serve 40 people. I saw children under 21.

Very rude bartender, would never come back to this place. So many nicer, friendlier and proper places around to go to!! Pick something else:) The bartender was very rude to us from the start and we showed her our ID’s and she asked to see another piece of ID after showing our drivers license and we respected her decision and showed a health/medical card that said the same information and she then requested to see our passports and said it was State law to show a passport and that license do not count as ID. This is a lie and WRONG, I literally wanted to laugh at how ridiculous this was. That is not state law, has never once happened to any of us anywhere else in the city and we even asked the bartender at another bar down the street about it after that experience and they laughed at how ridiculous it was aswell. So again don’t come here, they are very very rude bartenders and not welcoming what so ever, and they clearly have weird wrong “laws” that are ridiculous!!!! So happy I have this place zero money!!!

Great place for music. Me and my date walked in no problem and ordered a couple of drinks. Hung around for a bit and cashed out. There was an added $10 on the tab. When I asked what it was for I was told it was $5 cover charge each. What??? Nothing was said entering or upon ordering a drink. Underhanded and simple BS. Will never go back.

My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant/ jazz club in February of 2025. This was the first time we had gone here. The music was fantastic and the service was superb. The ladies that were working were incredible and had excellent customer services skills. Great priced drinks and had no issues with our ID’s. We left our vacation very excited to come back the next year. Fast forward to February 2026. The very first day of our vacation we very eager and excited to go back. After walking over an hour to get to this spot, we sat down and a waitress said she would come and see us shortly. We waited nearly 35 minutes and still nobody came to take our orders. We decided to go up to the bar and the lady working asked for our ID’s. We kindly accepted and showed her our drivers licenses that clearly states we are over the legal drinking age. Essentially, she refused to take our orders and wanted to see our passports. If you have ever travelled anywhere you would know that no one use carries their passports around with them. Especially when they are walking around in a city. I explained to her that last year we used our driver licenses to be ID the previous year and she said that there was nothing that she could do. The issue with this situation for me is that we wasted 35-40 minutes waiting to then be denied service. Unfortunately we won’t be visiting this place again and will no longer recommend this location to anyone visiting the area.
