Lucky Cat in Fort Lauderdale was a great experience! This Korean and Japanese fusion spot has a really cool vibe—it feels like fast food in the best way, but with attentive waiters and a sit-down atmosphere. The food came out quickly and tasted fresh and flavorful. It’s a fun place for a date or a casual night out, especially because you can make your own sushi, which adds an interactive and unique touch to the meal. Overall, great food, fun concept, and a relaxed but lively environment. I’d definitely go back! 🍣🐱
We did the premium sushi class experience. We had an incredible time. Very under rated experience. You’re at your own table, so you’re not at a large table with other random people. They start you with some pre made appetizers and then they bring you all the ingredients to make your own rolls. Our waitress G, was also our teacher and she was fantastic!! Be prepared to eat, because it’s a lot of food and a lot of fun.
The food was very fresh and tasted great. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere stood out with its creative design, and we are definitely coming back.
Lucky Cat is our go-to spot, and it never disappoints. The servers are always so kind and welcoming. Gee and Tooa are the best servers I've ever come across! The food is consistently amazing, full of flavor, and you can tell it’s made with care. Whether we’re celebrating something or just grabbing a bite, this place is always our first choice. We genuinely love it here so much!!!
Lovely restaurant, found it by coincidence. Delicious food, friendly and nice staff, will definitely come back and recommend to friends. My only suggestion for improvement is to add pork or beef to the don curry, personal preference. 10/10 🫶
I'm not much of a reviewer, but I've been frequenting this restaurant for three years and I love it. My favorite is brown sugar boba and shoyu ramen. The cashier always serves me very well. Until next visit.
I came here for my birthday, something different. I made a reservation on Instagram and headed in. There was miscommunication about my reserved time, but the staff cleared everything up and got us set up. I have a shellfish allergy and they were able to accommodate my needs. Our teacher was so patient and made the experience so fun. It would be nice to get fun facts or history about sushi making while doing the class, but overall this was such a great experience. I am now a sushi master (in my mind), but this is definitely something to do as a date experience, with friends or older children. Definitely worth it.
We took a sushi making class, it was affordable and convenient. You get to choose what kind of fish you like, and they provide you with enough materials to make 8 rolls. The staff teaches you how to make 4 different types of sushi rolls and you get to eat it later. Fun activity to do with kids or family and friends. They also offer boba tea while you are learning how to make sushi. I highly recommend taking the sushi class, the restaurant side has a authentic menu, the food and the service is great. Will be returning again.
I participated in a Sushi making Class and it was so much fun! The instructors were super nice and helpful. The food was delicious! Everything was clean and directions were so clear, I felt I knew how to make Sushi all the time lol Such a lovely class! They show how to make three different kinds of rolls. Drinks, besides water, are not included. You have to make a deposit per person when you register but it goes towards the total of what the class is. $45 per person and the classes fill up fast so, book ahead of time. Worth it!
This place is a GEM!!!! The food is fresh and delicious as well as very reasonably priced! Gift, who we ALWAYS request to be our waitress is second-to-none!! She exponentially enhances the experience by being incredibly friendly, 1000% attentive, and conscious of every detail of each order! It gets no better, we eat here at least once or twice a week. Highly recommended!!!
Food was amazing and the service was great! John, our server, went above and beyond to accommodate my party and recommended delicious cocktails and the sea bream was to die for! Will definitely be back again.
Went for a sushi class and it was a delightful experience. They guided us thought the preparation process with the freedom to unleash our creativity. Overall we had a good experience.
A friend and myself came to their Sushi making class and it was a great experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the plethora of options they offered being that my friend is gluten free. They assisted us the entirety of the class and allowed us full control to customize our sushi however we’d like. We had boba tea which was also very good and I’m excited to come back soon.
Lucky Cat Street Eatery is a small cozy restaurant offering a variety of Asian-fused dishes. The restaurant had a few people dining inside and steady customers coming in to pickup their orders. I greeted a female employee who allowed to sit at an available table. Their menu was vast and the prices was reasonable for the items listed such as: * Poke bowls/ramen * Bento box * Hot & cold appetizers * Soup & salad * Sushi: basic roll/making/combo * Rice/noodles/desserts * Soft drinks/boba tea/fruit tea * Hot sake/bottle beer/house wine I placed my order for hot green tea, California roll, and fried gyoza. The tea and food arrived at my table pretty quickly and it all looked amazing. The green tea was hot and soothing. The California roll was freshly prepared and delicious. There was less sodium soy sauce available for dipping which added a bit of flavor without being too salty. The fried gyoza was also nicely prepared and the sauce it was served with was lightly sweet with a touch a tanginess. I enjoyed it so much I ordered some more gyoza but this time steamed and it was as delicious as the fried gyoza. Service was satisfactory. I was checked on in a timely manner and the empty dishes was removed when needed. I look forward on returning to try a different dish.
Just had an amazing experience at this sushi spot! The service was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The staff made me feel right at home, and the atmosphere was clean, calm, and inviting. But the real star? The sushi — absolutely flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every bite was packed with taste and care. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great sushi and even better service!
Tuesday, March 29th, 2023 party of 2pm 5:00pm $80+ w/o tip First time experiencing Lucky Cat Street Eatery Free private parking lot, immediately seated/served, excellent menu and top notch timely service. We order a few appetizers, a few sushi rolls including four boba teas and devoured everything with zero shame. We feasted like queens. We loved everything about this dining experience and we will be back. Bravo to employees, management and owners for flawless service/food/drink/atmosphere.

We were actually planning to eat at a different location in this strip center but it was closed. We were super glad that pivot ended up turning out to be great food. Since coming to FL, Lucky Cat has been by far the best bang for buck on quality food/sushi and eating experience. 10/10 would recommend and I look forward to going back.
Just did the sushi making class here, and it was amazing. The waitress, busboy and sushi chef were so helpful and did an excellent job at assisting everyone. We did the premium version for $75 which I believe was totally worth it. Each person makes 3 sushi rolls, gets a sushi and kitchen app and gets a dessert each. They also had a special for Sake bottles. It was very fun!
Phenomenal Thai/Japanese fusion! We usually avoid fusion because we don't find them to be authentic to either, but this place blew us away. The curries (green curry) were thick and flavorful, and the noodle dishes (pad see ew and drunken noodles) were authentic and spiced accordingly. The server did a great job ensuring we got vegetarian offering, and made sure our water glasses stayed full. This place is a 5 out of 5. Do yourself a favor and try it!
Incredible food!! If I lived here I would go here about once a week. Some of the staff is actually from Thailand. Had the sushi and Pad Se Ew and both were amazing.

Nice place with decent food! The atmosphere is a bit dim/low lighting, but that's definitely the chill vibe. There's plenty of seating indoors. The tables are adorned with various manga so you can read at your leisure while waiting for your food to arrive. There are lots of Asian dishes and drinks available. We started with some takoyaki, enjoyed some rolls, a salmon platter, and a poke bowl. All were delicious, filling, and tasted fresh. We also decided to get some milk tea, it tasted fine as well. We came when they still had their gingerbread man bottles in stock, they are sooo cute and come with little beanies and scarves! It's +$2 for the bottle and you get to keep the bottle and accessories. They give you a regular to-go cup with ice to pour your tea in to drink if you wish.

This place was great. Had a couple appetizers and but some sushi. The crispy rice tuna appetizer was my favorite. Everything was great, but one thing I can say is their sushi rice was overcooked. Other than that, this place was great. I will be returning. Please fix the Sushi rice.
I’ve been here a few times and I’ve mostly gotten the bento box and Pad Thai! Every time was delicious and am always eager to come back during lunch! I recently tried their boba tea and honestly it was the worst tasting boba I ever had, only drank a few sips before throwing it out.. and trust I tried adding some things to make it taste better and nothing helped! The tapioca tasted old and was dissolving in my mouth and not chewy and the drink was very bitter. Overall, the food is good but drinks questionable!
