I was making my debut here and it was all that and some! I'll be all over the menu, ordering everything on it over time! I started w/the Loaded Cornbread and WOW!!! Y'all should be a shame for yourselves! Someone left their foot in it! OMGoodness!!! We'll see you good people again soon! Y'all all be kind to 1another!
Love, love LOVE the food! There is not another bbq joint in all Fort Worth that has the flavors this place has. And thank you for making an authentic Coca Cola cake!! I buy them 2 at a time!
Amazing bbq. This is a very unassuming spot, so don’t judge a book by its cover. The food was incredible. Super moist brisket, even the flat. Sides were great too. Highly recommend.
Like a lot of folks who’ve relocated to the area, when the BBQ craving hits, I’ve gone to the usual suspects—Terry Black’s, Hard Eight, and a few others. And don’t get me wrong, they’re good in their own right. But something was missing. A flavor. A familiarity. That unmistakable home-cooked note that good barbecue—and the sides—are supposed to have. Scrolling through TikTok… or maybe Instagram (you know how that goes), I came across an influencer raving about Smoke-A-Holics BBQ. What stopped me cold wasn’t the meat—it was the collard greens on the plate. And at the start of the year, when greens are calling your name, you answer. So I headed over to Smoke-A-Holics, wondering why I had never stopped in before. I got there and learned the collard greens are only available on Wednesdays and Saturdays (at least that’s what I was told—and trust me, I made a mental note). Instead of turning around, I decided to do a test run: If the barbecue is right, I’ll be back. Period. I skipped the full plate and ordered a barbecue sandwich, some smoked salmon with crackers, and finished it off with their Coca-Cola cake. Here’s how good it was: I was talking on my phone and eating at the same time—and completely forgot to take a photo. By the time I looked up, the plate was basically a memory. Let me be clear: That barbecue is some of the best I’ve had in a long while. No exaggeration. No hype. The meat was tender, seasoned just right, and balanced—smoke, flavor, and texture all in harmony. The smoked salmon was a pleasant surprise. And the cake… listen, if you know, you know. I’m honestly tempted to go back tomorrow—for the collard greens and more barbecue. Because when a place gets it right, you don’t overthink it. You just return. Smoke-A-Holics didn’t just satisfy a craving—it reminded me what barbecue is supposed to taste like. And yes… next time, I’m getting the greens.
It's THE BEST BBQ I've ever had. As a life-long Texan that is saying something. I recommend calling ahead because they are always busy, but they stay efficient. I was impressed with the next level service though. On a recommendation, we ordered this for our office holiday party. Despite the non-stop orders coming in, they wheeled it out on a cart and helped load the large trays into my vehicle. And now 2 weeks later, we've misplaced the receipt (again, it was a business purchase so that's not good!) and they took our number and found it in their logs and emailed it over. I'm really grateful and can't wait to try more dishes from this hidden gem of Fort Worth!!!!!!
This is the best kept secret in BBQ! Dont know why they haven't been named top 10 in DFW area! Food taste, portions and preparation is always the same and consistent. Their prices beat everyone else's, especially with the portions they provide. Smokeaholics is the best in Texas. Better than Terry Black, Railhead, Panthers City, Dickeys, Cousins! This BBQ got em beat!
Taking my daughter around the Fort Worth area as she's a huge Mac & Cheese fan. We just got the Smoked Mac and Cheese and it was amazing!! Should have gone with a large or family size over the medium. Also went with the Baked Beans and they were dynamite too! Definitely have to try their barbecue at a later date!
Great lunch. I had the brisket and hot link my brisket was a bit too fatty but it was good. Mac n cheese taste creamy and thick very good my green beans was flavorful with smoke meat. I will be back I enjoyed it currently at my desk sleepy. The young lady at the register was nice and fast. My meat was a bit cold but once I zapped it in the microwave I was good. Pick up only you can not dine in at this restaurant.
First time eating at this location excellent barbecue it is a top 10!! We wanted the ribs but they were out we got there late, but the brisket was delicious it was like butter we had the banana pudding which is excellent and the sausage also BBQ nachos and potato salad and the beans were excellent. Will be back earlier to get the ribs! 😎👍🏼😋
I tried their food over the weekend at a festival and it was the best bites out there so I just had to stop by their place to see what else was good. Ordered way more than was necessary but sometimes you just can't decide! Everything was very good with my favorites being the Bbq dirty rice, rib tips, Mac and cheese and the smoked chicken salad. We'll definitely be back again.
Arrived at around 1pm and it was busy. The line moved fast as the cashier was taking orders quickly. She took my name after I ordered a sliced brisket plate with beans and smoked Mac & cheese. Order came out in no time. This plate with the amount of food could easily feed 2 people. The sliced brisket was thick and juicy. Comes with 2 bread slices, pickled spice onions, sweet pickles, and delicious BBQ sauce. Everything was super delicious. This place knows how make darn good BBQ!
Service was fantastic food was decent and smoked but I'm from Mississippi and something was lacking but the people was there in droves .. these texas beans i can never get use to, potato salad was decent, ribs were ok rib tips was ok... not sure if I would go back..... most likely not!
2024 Review-Great customer service and organized clean establishment. They hand out buzzers to notify you when your order is ready. Ribs not seasoned like previous visits. 2022 Review- I wasn't given what I ordered. Nevertheless, I took what they gave me because all their food is still good. I checked order before I left, told cashier it was fine. Most people don't check their food and maybe upset once they notice. Please prepare what customer's order. There was also a guy customer harassing women as they waited. They can't control other people's actions, but it's still bad for business. Note: I will still support Smoke A Holics Bbq. 2021 Review- Food is still great, but sadly I only had 2 pieces of bread for my order. When purchasing 4-5 different meats last time I received 4 pieces of bread. This was my friend's first time coming to the establishment, she ordered sliced mixed brisket and some other items. She only received fatty sliced brisket not the mixed she order, but she loved it regardless. My friend sides tasted totally different from the sides I purchased last time. Her mac and cheese and potato salad tasted really delicious compared to what I had last time. I did not purchase any sides this time because I did not really enjoy them the first time. However, I would have bought 2 large mac and cheese given the way it tasted this time. The reason why I'm docking them one-star from my last review is because I like places to stay consistent. 2021 Review-The staff was amazing, as soon as I arrived at the restaurant there were several people waiting outside for the place to open. The rib tips were some of the best I've ever had. The ribs melted off the bone and tasted great. The lean brisket was good but I prefer the tender fatty brisket. The jalapeno cheddar & black pepper sausage were full of flavor. I enjoyed the banana pudding, it was made just the way I like it. The sides and cornbread are average, yet still good. I will definitely return to try the turkey legs on Tuesday.
