My wife and I ate here to plan out a party that we are going to get catered. We tried 3 different main meal and I loved them all. I could have eaten until I got sick, but stopped because I knew I would have leftovers. We got the Lasagna, Chicken piccata and Tortellini Diablo. The tortellini was the best then the lasagna then piccata. We would definitely do all 3 again but with the spices of the Diablo it was just too far to reach. I want to thank our server Jake as he was super helpful on telling us how we should order things as far as freshness.

My daughter and I ate here for dinner, and it was great. I had tortellini, and it was very good. My daughter had the carbonara and she raved about it. We also did some cheese bread. It was simple, but it was done right. Sometimes the simple things are the hardest. I felt the marinara was a great balance of flavors, with a slight touch of sweetness to cut the acidity of the tomatoes. We also loved the singer. He was great, but not too loud, which is a complaint I often have of singers in a smaller space. We would eat here again.

Excellent service and excellent food. It’s kind of small inside but the wait to get in is worth it! I sat at the 3-seat bar on a busy Friday night and got immediate service. Several people checked on me constantly. They brought me crunchy bread and butter - complimentary. I’d recommend the dish I got - Whitefish with angel hair and tomatoes. $26. Tasted very fresh. I can’t remember the awesome blonde server who waited on me but Tiffy was really helpful as well and lit a candle for me. Anyway, Go here if you have the chance!

This is by far the BEST Italian food I have ever eaten! And the service was amazing. From the sweet old man in overalls who greeted us at the door, to Cam, and Derrick our server— they were all wonderful and helped us to have a great experience! I got the Spicy Tortellini Diablo— and ya’ll it was to die for! The perfect amount of spice and so much flavor! I wish I lived closer and could come here often. Even the live music in the background was perfect. Go check them out!

Zolo’s Italian Restaurant was great! Located in Franklin, right at the square downtown. Desserts look delicious but we were too full to try them. The restaurant was decorated very nice. Lovely flowers 💐 on the tables. Chicken Parmigiana was delicious! Huge servings would be easy to share. Be sure to try soon!

Excellent service and food. We were amazed. It was out first time. We've tried bruschetta and rice balls as appetizer, I had shrimp Alfredo, restling wine and tiramisu with coffee for desert. Everything was amazingly delicious. We will surely be back. Strongly recommend. Waitresses were super friendly, effective and nice.

Zolos was the perfect Italian dinner place for us. The Caprese Salad had no lack of mozzarella and the Balsamic dressing was perfect. The Crispy Artichokes were delightfully different and tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed the Baked Crab Ravioli...so rich and flavorful. Try putting some of the creamy sauce from the ravioli on one of the Crispy Artichokes, yummy! Our waiter did a great job!

Zolos is hands down in my top 3 Italian restaurants in Tennessee! The interior is simple and intimate. Perfect for an up close and personal date. The service was great. Cheese table side and wrapping left overs in kitchen are a wonderful touch. We were seated quickly and our server was thoughtful. But most importantly THE FOOD! If you love cheese you have to get the 5 cheese tortellini. The Alfredo chicken was magnificent. In general, the way that chicken is breaded and sliced on the pasta dishes is divine. Even the bread and butter were simple yet delicious. This is definitely my go to Italian spot in the area! Good job Franklin ♡

Of the three dishes we ordered, the “DIABLO” was by far the best. But the other two dishes were impeccable too. We ordered a fish to try, because I hadn’t tried Italian food with sea animal before. I thought it was okay, but I wouldn’t order it again. The chicken parmigiana was one of the best parmigianas I’ve ever tried. About the environment: cozy and comfortable. The restaurant also has a good wine list.

Little Italian bistro in downtown Franklin that was super busy - always a good sign that good eats are to follow. Smelled amazing when we walked in and there was a guitarist singing some tunes so ears were engaged as well. We’re easy to please so bar seating was immediate and we hopped on it Tifi (I hope that’s right) was our server and was outstanding. My buddy got some French onion soup (Yummy, rich and oniony with super stretchy cheese) and I got fried mozzarella to share. Gooey and crunchy with marinara to dip in. Entree was Crab Ravioli for me a baked 5 Cheese tortellini for Chris. Both were fantastic, great tooth on the pasta, sauce creamy and delish, plenty of crab on mine and ton of sausage on Chris’s. Finished with tiramisu. ‘Nuff said. Here’s the breakdown: Great bistro feel +1 star; excellent service from Tifi +1 star; great appetizer +1 star; killer pasta +1 star; tiramisu +1 star. As a New Yorker pasta better be good and this was amazing. I’ll be back!!

Zolos was amazing!!! Our server was Regan, she was so friendly and just amazing!! One of the owners came by our table a couple of times to chat. Very nice man. But the food, DELICIOUS!!!!! We both had 3 cheese tortellini with marinara and meatballs 😋 If you are ever in Franklin, drop by for a meal, you won't be disappointed.

Really quaint place with exceptional food, and some good drink choices. Some of the best Italian food I've had in a long time.

Love this gem in the middle of downtown Franklin. Has a very authentic, family feel to it. Food and service were both great. Definitely recommend for a family outing or a date.

Fantastic hometown, Italian restaurant. Nice sized portions and the staff was fantastic. Quaint little place that we will visit again.

Loved it so much we went twice in the week we were staying in town. Beautiful freshly made Italian dishes run and owned by a family. Lovely welcoming staff

Great little spot, there was a live musician playing. One couple got up and found space to dance during dinner. ❤️Wanted somewhere away from the bar scene of Nashville to enjoy dinner with my teenagers. This place was perfect. Food was amazing and it was accompanied by great service as well. Overall a very welcoming, genuine place.

My new favorite restaurant. My family and I started going there a few months ago, and now it is our place to eat at least once a week. Fantastic food and service. The Veal Marsala is so good that you want to roll around in it. Actually, everything on the menu is delicious. My dad is in love with the Whitefish. Cozy atmosphere and plenty of parking nearby. Highly, highly recommend.

One of the best meals I have had, here in Franklin, in a LONG time. The live music was great, the wine options were exceptional, and the service was unmatched. We will definitely be dining here more often.

The chicken Alfredo was not very good, but my husband's spicy tortellini diablo was EXCELLENT 👍. We had the fried artichokes and dip which was delicious. The service was friendly and our server was awesome.

First time here but I will definitely be back! The menu was just the right size with several different types of options, the food was delicious, the portions were sizeable, and the prices were very reasonable. Additionally, our service was excellent and the ambience was nice too.

Best Cesar salad around. I love it there. Born and raised in Franklin, so always a soft spot in my heart. The dessert cakes were like no other I've ever, ever had

We enjoyed everything from the bread to the GF substitution and lasagna (hubby is not GF). Tried the friend spinach and will pass next time unless we have 6 others to share it with. Very heavy

The food was amazing. Portions were kind of big, so it's recommended to come hungry or split something. Service might get a little bit slow but that's expected when it gets busy. They had a musician there and he was great. He played all kinds of music with his own style inspired by the likes of Luis Armstrong and B.B King

The food is amazing, and Jacob is the best! I highly recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I had dinner here for date night and loved the experience. Our server, Derek, was fantastic, the food was fresh and flavorful, and all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The live music was romantic and just the right volume (not too loud or soft). There was an older gentleman (maybe an owner?) who was holding the door open for guests and trying to make sure everyone was taken care of. It felt like all the staff were genuinely happy to welcome us to their restaurant and serve us. Will definitely come back again!

This is a great little place. The Tuscan salad was fresh, cold, and crisp, and their balsamic dressing is fantastic! And the generous portion of delicious pasta was served piping hot. They also brought us a small basket of bread with a crispy garlic crust before our dinner arrived. We got there early and were able to get a booth by the window, which was really nice. And the service was excellent- friendly and attentive without being hovering. Very impressed.

Nice little restaurant! Menu was simple. Not pages of different items. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. My wife and I had two different dinners and they were excellent in taste and presentation. Loved it!

Two visits recently and will plan another soon. We found the food great quality, flavor and portions. We walked in the last trip but reservations are usually recommended. Atmosphere is comfortable and quaint. There is room to breath and a view of the workings of Downtown Franklin. Service has been very good even at dinner rush. Highly recommend. Tell them 'Papa G' sent you. Enjoy

We’ve eaten here many times and the food is consistently delicious! This locally owned restaurant is a true gem in downtown Franklin. The atmosphere is intimate, the service is great, and the menu has something for everyone. We will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious, traditional Italian meal!

We visited on a Saturday night. They were busy and they had live music. The server was quick. We loved the crispy artichoke appetizer, we tried some of their marinara, and it was good. The crab ravioli and pasta Alfredo with chicken were flavorful. I would definitely come back and try some other items.

Located a tad bit off of the main street scene is where you'll find this spot! We showed up for an early dinner. Reservations ate recommendations as it seems to be a hot-spot. We chose not to have a view. But if you do ask in advance, apparently it's a thing. The waitress was very nice and provided amazing service. The food took longer than expected to arrive but it was delicious. The cheese bread reminded me of a pizza. So there's that. Decor and vibe was a small mom and pop shop. Really enjoyed. Look forward to trying again!

Nice, small local restaurant. Food was good, service was excellent and plenty of parking.

Friendly staff, did a nice job taking care of us. Wife said her chicken parmigiana was a bit bland. I liked the spicy Italian diablo tortellini. Nice flavor and just a little heat. Nice atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit when you're in Franklin

We had a nice experience at Zolos. The food was good, excellent calamari, though the lobster ravioli is a too heavy, maybe ditch the sausage in it, totally unnecessary and it overpowers it all. Cocktails and wine were good but our waitress was not familiar with the wines or menu dishes in general. Tons of parking available, so that's nice, and a bit off the main drag so it's quieter, but the decor is a bit dated inside. All in all, we had a great time.

Zolos is a nice, quiet dining option in the heart of Franklin. The menu has a number of options but I recommend the chicken marsala or the cheese tortellini. The wine options are limited and, unfortunately, they removed sangria for the drink list. Servers are friendly but wait times for meals can be lengthy. I recommend reservations because space is limited. Parking on the street depends on day and time. Prices are high.

Stumbled in around 7pm on a Thursday night without a reservation. The hostess was less than pleased that we didn’t have a reservation and seated us in one of the 6 tables that were not full. Service was slow, but it appeared that they were short-staffed and they tried their best. I’d give it another try if I were in Franklin again. Hopefully the hostess was just having a bad night and doesn’t treat all paying customers with such annoyance and frustration. Drinks were good. Chicken Parm and Chicken Alfredo were both great with mild, but well-made sauces.

We ordered the eggplant parmesan, French onion soup, and double bruschetta. Food is average, except the bruschetta. That was delicious! Service is really good. Love the downtown Franklin atmosphere. Red table cloths and live music. Great date night, but not sure if we would go again.

We had a somewhat subpar dining experience here. Had to request replacement silverware, because ours' had dried up food on it. The caprese salad had mozzarella balls instead of sliced mozzarella. Very little balsamic reduction. No basil at all... Mostly side dressing that was not authentic. The tortellini had way too much cheese on it. It didn't taste like it was made in-house. The table service bread was good, though. Service was a bit slow, and—despite reserving a booth seat near the window several before and arriving at opening (4:30pm) on Saturday—we were told the window seats were already reserved and were seated elsewhere.

Portion size was light for the spaghetti. Read the fine print on the menu for unexpected charges. Food quality was very good. Wine was very good. Cheesecake was very good.

The atmosphere was nice, and they had a musician playing that we loved. The disappointing part of the experience was the food (except for the appetizers, which were great). My wife ordered a dish with shrimp, and they said the shrimp was on its way a few times, but it never came. I had a dish with chicken and the chicken was hard as if it had been reheated from days ago. If they had the same musician we would go back for a glass of wine and an appetizer, but I doubt we would chance dinner again.

Not sure how this place is still in business... outdated, worn-out decor. Food is way overpriced, and I've had better lasagna that was frozen from kroger. $100 no drinks for 2 meals and 2 kids' meals. No desert... no starter... just overpriced ok food. They don't remove the shrimp tails, so you have to cut them off. Zero desire to go back. None of the silverware even matched. Each of us had a different style fork... fancy is the last word I'd use to describe this place.

Restaurant vibe was nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t the best. Ordered the Angel Hair Pescatore and it tasted like black pepper soup. The parmesan crusted white fish was good. However, all the angel hair pasta was overcooked. The Bruschetta was probably the best thing we ordered off the menu.

The waitress was amazing and very nice. We got our food in a timely manner and It was a great experience in that regard. The caeser salad was disgusting. It was old lettuce and had no flavor. I couldn't even finish half. The lasagna tasted like hamburger with cheese on top. This is fast food quality Italian food. If someone says otherwise, they do not have experience with even decent Italian food.. the food was affordable and service was great at least.

Ordered chicken in a white wine sauce . Got breaded chicken swimming in water. Bland no seasoning. Tasted pungent. See for yourself.

Ordered food through uber eats. The food was good but the portion size was horrible. Including pictures of our $7 salads and $26 slamon dish. I have worked in resturaunts for 2 decades and never seen a pcs of salmon this small.

We ate here for dinner and ordered salads and chicken Marsala. We were very disappointed with the chicken Marsala. It was very very sweet, had very little mushrooms and tasted as if they had poured sugar on top of noodles. The lady greeting customers was less than welcoming. Additionally, she cleaned the table right next to us with Windex, several sprays drifting over to our table leaving us feeling like we were eating our salads with a side of windex. For the price, and being half Italian myself, I would have hoped and expected more from an Italian restaurant.

The food is just meh. Honestly the best thing I had tonight was the salad. I ordered the lasagna. It looked like it was cooked in the microwave and the sauce was so sweet. My husband got spaghetti and meatballs and unfortunately ordered extra meatballs with it. Again the sauce was so sweet he couldn't eat it and the meatballs, which I also tasted, something was off in them. we also ordered mozzarella sticks. The center of them was cold and again served with a very sweet marinara sauce. 2 people eating, and it was over 100. that is just crazy for what we got. My husband would not let me say anything to the waitress, he just wanted to get out of there. I am now sitting here at 9:15 and our stomachs are not feeling great. Sure wish we could get our money back!

C
Chuck Harris

Understaffed and pizza has gotten worse each time. Disappointed that I left a tip in advance, because I end up waiting 15-20 minutes to pick up a pizza that had to be remade because they didn’t put sauce on it. Service could be soooo much better.
