Oh my goodness, everything is so delicious! I had the zataar fatteh and it was a great combination of flavors! Great vegetarian, meat, and fish options, lots of good breakfast and lunch menu items. The coffee is perfect, and their teas are so nice! Love the atmosphere, the service, and the food. I will be coming here again, and recommending it to everyone I know!
Beautiful new restaurant in Fresno! The menu is brunch, focused, and the coffee was excellent. I tried the zaatar Benedict, some different hummus, dips, and their signature bean dish all were fresh, flavorful, and excellent. Served with freshly baked bread that was still warm, three brothers run the restaurant, I spoke with two of them, They were very friendly, and the service was excellent. The environment is very beautiful, with lots of plants, as my daughter would say, very aesthetic. We will be coming back soon!!
Overall a great experience, atmosphere, food and staff. Modern take on Lebanese American food. Prices start at $10, and the portion sizes are generous except the Benedict (my group ordered lot's of food and everything was fantastic besides the Benedict -over salted, flavors don't mesh well and hard to eat). Pistachio latte was great, all the flatbread pita dishes were excellent. See pictures.
Update from 2/9/2025: My husband and I love coming to Zaatar for brunch and dinner. His favorite dish he orders almost every time is the steak fatteh. For our anniversary brunch, I ordered the fish n chips and it is THE BEST I've had. Besides the food, the owners and their staff are so friendly and attentive. It does take some time to get the food when they're extremely busy, but it's worth the wait for us. Previous post from June 2024: My family and I went to Zaatar for their cafe drinks because it caught our eye on our way out from lunch at Papi's Mex Grill. Had we not already planned for lunch elsewhere, we would have gone to Zaatar because the food looked good. I can only comment on the drinks and service for now, both of which were worth the visit. Their chai is the best I've ever had, topped with cinnamon and pistachios. My husband (former barrista) had their iced Americano, which he says is smoother than most. Our bartender/barrista Roy was friendly, funny, and quick with drink service. We will definitely be returning for brunch/lunch next time!
Some of the best Mediterranean food we’ve ever tried! Everything was delicious, but the mezze appetizer (with avocado hummus, baba ghannouj, and spicy labne), fatteh (get it with eggplant!) and hummus with diced steak and grilled almonds were especially delicious! Our waiter, Roy, was friendly and made excellent recommendations from the menu. The drinks selections were also great — the “soothe sayer” tea was refreshing and the pistachio latte was beautifully presented and delicious!
Zaatar has a great atmosphere, great service and great food. I ordered the Pistachio Iced Latte, and it was refreshing! We ordered the Swiss Mushroom Burger and the burger was delicious and the Chocolate French Toast was heavenly! Highly recommend to visit this restaurant and definitely do reservations on the weekend!
Great place for brunch. Great place for date nights. Great atmosphere. Great service. First time here, if you’re a foodie definitely worth a shot. If you’re a fan of Mediterranean cuisine, you’ll love this place. I started off my meal with the pistachio latte. The drink looks beautiful and tastes just as beautiful. We ordered the Zaatar Spirit which is close to looking like a pizza but definitely the bread needs to be used for all pizza dough, it was soft and fluffy. The top of this was arugula, cherry tomatoes, and stuffed with cheese. The herbs used were mild but made this super taste. The last item we ordered was the mama gannouj which is an eggplant base, similar to hummus, this was topped with pieces of steak and served with fresh pita bread. This was so delicious and you definitely want to eat more of it because it’s healthy. There is no question that everyone needs to stop by and give them a try. It is worth the price. I will be recommending this place to everyone.
This is a fantastic spot for dessert lovers! They offer a wide variety of sweet treats that cater to all tastes, making it the perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth. The atmosphere is cool and welcoming, with a clean and well-maintained dining area that adds to the overall experience. The friendly vibes make it a great spot to relax and enjoy your dessert, whether you're with friends, family, or just treating yourself. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick, making the experience even better. If you’re looking for a dessert place that combines great flavors with a positive and laid-back atmosphere, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend it!
Zaatar is a great addition to Fresno with its vibrant Mediterranean flavors and Euro touch. The Lebanese Coffee surprised us with hints of cardamom with side cookies to balance the flavors. The Lebanese Spirit had the perfectly baked bread, cheese with fresh herbs & vegetables. We definitely will be going back with family & friends. Thank you for the great customer service and food.
This is hands down the best food I have had since moving to the Clovis Area 3 years ago. Flavors were amazing, food quality was amazing, coffee was amazing. Huge compliments to the owners. This is now my favorite place to eat. The Pistachino absolutely blew me and my wife away. Fresh humus was better than most that I have had in Greece, I don’t think there is a bad option on the menu.
Looking from the outside, it looks like a pretty regular restaurant but once we came inside it was such a pretty spot! The interior was amazing and customer service was good very welcoming and friendly. The food was great and they have a pretty big selection. I absolutely loved my pistachio latte drink
Zaatar Bistro is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm atmosphere and welcoming staff make you feel right at home. The food is beyond incredible – fresh, flavorful, and authentically Mediterranean with a modern touch. Every dish is crafted with so much care, from the perfectly seasoned appetizers to the mouthwatering main courses and delicious desserts. The portions are generous, the presentation is beautiful, and you can truly taste the quality in every bite. What really makes Zaatar Bistro stand out is not only the amazing food, but also the hospitality. The staff go above and beyond to make sure every guest has a wonderful experience. Whether you’re coming for a casual lunch, a family dinner, or a special night out, this place never disappoints. If you’re looking for a restaurant that combines authentic flavors, outstanding service, and a cozy atmosphere, Zaatar Bistro is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!
We celebrated our friend’s birthday party at Zaatar, and it was amazing. The food was so delicious, beautifully presented, and the staff so sweet and conscientious. The place too was beautifully decorated and comfortable. My friends and I loved our time at Zaatar and we will definitely be back soon.
Large sharing portions, even larger flavor! Try everything we had Steak Fatteh , Traditional Fatteh, fresh made pita bread, avocado hummus, spicy labneh (yogurt dip) , sahleb (spiced steamed milk), and Biscoff cheesecake. All of it was amazing and with so much flavor! Come hungry and you will leave full and happy.
Phenomenal chicken wrap! That alone was enough to make me go back. The chicken was flavorful, the garlic sauce was delicious and the perfect consistency to dip into, the hummus was the best I've tasted anywhere. The spicy labne was sooo good and don't get me started on their fresh pita bread. I already have a couple things in mind to try.
I had the best dinner experience here. My first time eating Lebanese food. My family and I enjoyed everything we ordered. I highly recommend this restaurant for your next dinner night out.
The menu at Zaatar is a testament to the rich tradition of Lebanese cuisine, offering a plethora of mouthwatering options that cater to every palate. Exceptional coffee and refreshing teas. Sourced from the finest beans and leaves, every cup is a revelation, a symphony of flavors and aromas that awaken the senses and leave you craving for more. Whether you prefer a velvety latte or a fragrant herbal infusion. The steak fatteh features tender cuts of steak served atop a bed of crispy bread, creamy yogurt, and flavorful spices, creating a harmonious blend of textures and tastes that will tantalize your taste buds. Meanwhile, the traditional fatteh offers a delightful combination of chickpeas, toasted bread, yogurt, and aromatic spices. Whether you're a fan of meat or prefer vegetarian options, both dishes are sure to leave you craving for more. And let's not forget about the knafeh – a true masterpiece of Lebanese dessert craftsmanship. This iconic sweet treat is elevated to new heights, with layers of crisp pastry, creamy cheese, and fragrant syrup coming together in a symphony of flavor and texture. Thank you for an amazing experience and hospitality.
I don’t really leave reviews but I had to for this place. Food was delicious and vibes were immaculate. We went for breakfast and ordered the steak fatteh, zaatar benedict, and the Lebanese coffee. The best breakfast I’ve had in a while. The service was top notch too. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The owner even came by our table and even gave us cookies to go with our coffee. If we are ever driving through Fresno, I’ll make sure to stop here again.
My favorite breakfast spot! Not only do they serve the best drinks, but their menu boasts an array of flavors that'll leave your taste buds dancing. From savory to sweet, every dish is bursting with unique and delicious combinations. And let's talk about the ambiance - the place is absolutely beautiful! With its beautiful decor and inviting atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to start your day off right. Whether you're craving a classic breakfast or feeling adventurous, this place has it all. Highly recommend! 😍😍
I went during the week with my husband. The service and attention was above and beyond. You can tell the passion the owners have of their place. When we asked for recommendations, he was very detailed on his recommendations and the why. Since we went early in the morning on a Thursday, it was not very busy. I’d like to think that the negative comments left of inattentiveness was due to the high volume on weekends and evenings. Nonetheless, aesthetically beautiful, their caramel macchiato is the best I’ve ever had. My husband really enjoyed the pistachio latte. Pricing on most items was average. Their limited time Dubai chocolate tart was very expensive in my books $15 for a tart the size of my palm is overpriced in my opinion. Bottom line is I would highly recommend it. Great foods great ambiance, great customer service and great drinks.
We came as a family and thoroughly enjoyed everything we got. Had the kids split a chicken wrap and I got myself the same, Hubby got the Kefta wrap. The owner was kind enough to let us try their dips: a spicy yogurt, hummus and an eggplant one. Honestly, if I had to pick, I wouldn’t know which was my favorite because they were all delicious! It is a little on the pricy side BUT that’s the cost of handmade, well crafted food.
10/10 recommend! Such a great place for a traditional Lebanese breakfast. My favorite dishes are the Lebanese spirit, cheesiest fluffiest, manousha ever! Double the cheese. Also the hummus fettah dish, perfect balance of garlic and hummus. Hummus with steak is delicious with the tangy pomegranate molasses, large portion in my opinion. Freshly made pitas are heavenly. The mezza plate is great to share. With a pot of tea… the perfect breakfast!
Zaatar is a charming, nicely decorated bistro. We arrived too early for lunch, so tried a couple of items from the breakfast/appetizer menu, including an order of basil hummus. The generous portion of hummus also came with a small basket of warm, fresh pita. The hummus and pita were delicious. We also shared a bowl of fava beans garnished with small tomatoes and accompanied by a small plate of raw veggies. Tasty, filling and healthy. I definitely would like to go back at lunch or dinner to try other items on the varied menu. Highly recommend.
Yum!! Spicy garlic an absolute must order! Honestly everything taste was good but baba ghanoush didn’t quite taste right to me. Certain will be back there so much more in the menu that I must try!!
Next level brunch spot on a Saturday morning. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised and we will be bringing our husbands back with us because they would also enjoy the delicious food and vibes! Great service, check Zaatar out!
The first place i loved in California! From the ambience to the food, everything was great! Chicken sandwich was very much an exact shawarma - havent been happier trying a chicken wrap before! The caramel macchiato reignited my love for cold coffees and inspired me to make me one every other day by myself thereafter The pide was great too! Pistachio tea - hot, as expected - was not bad
The Lebanese coffee and the Pistachino (it’s a cappuccino with pistachios.. yum!) is a must! Oh and the butter croissant is deliciously homemade. The service is amazing very friendly/family atmosphere. The food was deliciously cooked. I will definitely be back
Prefect way to start the day- fresh authentic Lebanese food! We tried almost everything- Pistachio latte was amazing, the granpa special was a good appetizer sampler - good portion to share. Cheese and lahma bijeen manoush was on point! Definitely on my top 3 I've tasted- (Va and Abu Dhabi other 2) Service was fantastic- our server was attentive and nice, she made sure we were taken care of! Ambience was relaxing and clean, plenty of parking and there is lots of seating to eat inside and out. First time in Fresno and already on a great start!
This is an amazing place. The service was very fast and friendly. The owner even said hello. The menu is unique and extensive. Everything was delicious! We tried a few appetizers which were all great. The Benedicts were done very well and the bloody Mary was unique and very tasty. I can't wait to come back and try the other dishes. Everything looks so good! Truly a great place and one I will be going back regularly! Update 9/26/2025 - Again live this place. Tried the Lebanese coffee which was strong and delicious. Food is excellent, Benedict are amazing. French toast was great dessert
Very friendly service, AMAZING food. The almond milk Pistaccino latte is so good, this is my new favorite spot for coffee. The Hummus slaps too. Oh and the decor/ambiance is excellent 👌
My Aunt and I visited because I read a January 2025 article in the Fresno Bee that proclaimed Zaatar was the best new Fresno restaurant of 2024. I was encouraged to try Zaatar because of the positive reviews on Google and my Aunt and I love Eastern Mediterranean cuisine. Most Google reviews discussed breakfast and brunch. This makes sense since the restaurant is open daily from 8 - 3 for breakfast and brunch and Thursday - Saturday from 4:30 - 9:30 for dinner. My Aunt and I liked our drinks. I ordered a Hazy IPA (the waitress did not know the name of the brewery) and my Aunt ordered a spicy Bloody Mary. But the pita bread was bland and the Fatteh were disappointing. My Aunt ordered the Chicken Fatteh and I ordered the Steak Fatteh. My Aunt said the chicken was seasoned. My steak was not. Also, the menu said that the dish included 8 oz of steak. No way was there 8 oz of steak. The problem with both dishes is that they were like a cold yogurt soup with chickpeas. We found the dish odd and did not finish our order. But we both agreed that it would be good to return and try something for breakfast or brunch. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and located in a high-end shopping center. Highly recommend making reservations.
Great to see a Lebanese style Bistro open in Fresno! Authentic dishes and a warm welcoming atmosphere makes for an enjoyable dining experience. Not your typical Mediterranean menu. Highly recommend you try something new and different. You’ll come away with a real appreciation for Lebanese cuisine. Best of fortune to the owners and staff! Highly Recommended!
First picture is 🥗 fattoush salad — a mixture of leafy and crunchy veggies with crispy dried pita bread, all tossed in a zesty dressing for a refreshing start. Second picture is a colorful Mezza style platter — choose 3 Middle Eastern paste sides to share with your group. My personal favorite is the hummus, and Zaatar Bistro makes my favorite: ultra-creamy texture with a robust garlic flavor 🧄🤤. The freshly baked pita bread that comes with it is warm straight from the oven. Third picture is thyme and cheese Zaatar bread 🫓🧀 — like a Lebanese-style pizza, topped with fragrant thyme and/or melty cheese. Simple, yet so flavorful. Fourth picture is grilled halloumi 🧀🔥 — salty, chewy, and satisfying. Fifth picture is chicken fatteh — absolutely wonderful layers of fried pita bread, chickpeas, pan-fried nuts, and shredded chicken mixed with creamy garlic-mint yogurt. An irresistibly delicious blend of flavors and textures. Sixth picture is Zaatar deboned chicken 🍗 — it may look simple with the chicken hidden under pita bread, but the veggies and chicken are well-seasoned with a kiss of charcoal, delivering deep, smoky flavor. This was mine and my sisters first time having Lebanese food before and it was amazing! The food, the drinks, the service, and the entire atmosphere were so amazing! Definitely worth checking out, and we will definitely be back. I recommend the Flower Mimosa, the cranberry cosmo, the fattoush salad and the chicken wrap! They were all delicious!
LOVED the food, atmosphere and people ofcourse! We were stopping by Fresno for a quick bite during our road-trip. This was one of the best Mediterranean foods we had. Their Baba ghanoush and pita was SPOT ON . We also tried there salad.. as refreshing and fresh as it could be! This wud be my goto place every-time someone wants unique food, great people and amazing atmosphere
I felt so happy and my tummy was full all day! I felt energized after eating and I even went for a walk. Plus eating eat bite was good delicious!
Food was delicious. Got the WTF (What’s Trending Fresno) Dessert at the end of the meal. Right now, it’s a Dubai chocolate tart with ground pistachios. Addictive.
Friendly service. Our waiter, Laith, was very helpful. He gave us a great recommendation based on our preferences. Based on his recommendation, we ordered a cup of Iced Pistaccino Latte with almond milk, French Spirit (French Toast) with fresh berries, Scrambled Eggs with crispy bacons, Cilantro Garlic Potate (diced) and Hummus with Diced Steak & Fried Almond. Everything was delicious, and the ingredients were fresh! Apparently, the chef (the owner's brother) has very impressive work experience in France, Dubai, and another country before he came to Fresno. I'm a picky eater, and usually, I don't really care for fries. We noticed there was no salt, pepper, or ketchup on the tables... and you won't need them anyway! Gotta try this bistro if you appreciate really good food. 5☆ All around!

Authentic Lebanese restaurant with great food and ambiance. The servers / owners, were very friendly and accommodating. They are open till 3 pm at the moment but they plan to extend their hours soon . Also they haven’t started serving alcohol yet . Enjoyed their pistachinno , really delicious and of course their zataar 👌🏻
This was my first time eating here. The customer service was lovely and we were constantly checked up on. I decided to order the Steak Fatteh. The cream was warm and slightly sour; the oil was smooth; the steak was cooked perfectly. Overall it was an excellent dish but not the flavors I would typically go for, personally. It’s definitely worth a try if you want something new! If I had to come back here I would. The environment is there and so are the options!
ebanese food seemed right up my alley. I found this cozy place located in the shopping center. The Ambiance is really cheap and modern with a touch of the antiquity. I made an order for pickup for this time. My order included a chicken wrap and a side order of hummus. I must say the hummus was amazing! Probably one of the best hummus places I have tried in a very long time. However I was disappointed when they said they would only give me two pieces of pita bread. I received a bowl of hummus and medium sized pita breads. I would recommend that if you go for the hummus add extra pita bread or you might be a bit disappointed. I enjoy the chicken wrap which included lettuce garlic sauce in a pickle. It had a really unique flavor profile however I would have appreciated more of the garlic sauce. Overall I believe they have a really vibrant menu I would love to come back to try some of the classic Lebanese dishes.

I recently visited Zaatar Bistro, and while the food was decent and the ambiance pleasant, my overall experience was significantly affected by the behavior of one of the staff members. An older Armenian-Lebanese lady working there was noticeably unprofessional and rude during our interaction, which left a negative impression. Customer service is a crucial part of any dining experience, and being treated with respect and courtesy should be a basic expectation. I hope management addresses this issue and provides additional training to ensure that all staff maintain a welcoming and respectful attitude toward guests.
