Aw Shucks in Frisco is hands down one of my favorite spots for seafood! The atmosphere is casual and fun, the staff is friendly, and the food is always fresh and flavorful. If you're going, do yourself a favor and get the Shucks Boil—it’s absolutely the way to go! Perfectly seasoned, generous portion for two person, and just the right amount of spice. I've been here multiple times and it never disappoints. Great place for a relaxed meal and drink with family or friends. Highly recommend if you're craving some quality seafood in Frisco!

As promised, we visited again. Serving size was slightly smaller. However, food was still top tier!!! We tried the fried food, but, the boiled food (shucks boil with all seasonings) is what keeps bringing us back!

Gumbo was seasoned just right. Hush puppies have an awesome flavor! Fried shrimp were $5 for five jumbo shrimp on the happy hour menu. They were a little tough to me but okay for the price. Their prices are very reasonable and they have daily specials. I will certainly be back to try something else.

I had the catfish and shrimp and since it was Tuesday I got the shrimp cocktail for 5 bucks, normally it's 10. I really enjoyed the shrimp cocktail, it was packed full of shrimp and very good, I was surprised. The fried shrimp was very good, cooked with not to much breading. The catfish was well prepared and hot when it came out ,the only thing I didn't like is the catfish had a slight muddy taste and for me that's huge deal. It wasn't bad though I would go back and eat again.

The food here is Absolutely Delicious. We ordered the Whole Catfish Basket Extra Crispy. It was piping hot, crispy, and hit the spot for my fish craving. I'm glad they are close to me. This has become a regular spot for me. The staff is friendly and the food is fresh. I enjoyed my first dining experience at this location. I will be back. Thank you for great food!!

The customer service was outstanding. We had the happy hour fried shrimp, which were great. The chicken wings were flavorful but dry and overcooked. The catfish filets with and thick fries were good.

Located on Preston just north of Hwy 121. Stopped in for a quick lunch to satisfy a seafood craving. We got the Ceviche appetizer which was very tasty and was a great way to start our meal. We had the fried Catfish and Shrimp Po Boy. The catfish was fried perfectly. Make sure to enjoy their cocktail sauce station. Grab a cold beer and enjoy their outdoor patio. Service was great, their entire staff was pleasant and helpful.

The staff was unbelievably great! From the moment my kids I walked through the door we we’re greeted with a smile! We went through the menu options and finally picked what was recommended. Grilled Oysters Fried fish and fries Even though the oysters weren’t recommended by the server with I found odd but ok. However, a major plus is they except Apple Pay. So, we sit and wait in the dinner and few minutes later we were greeted with our food. Review: The fish was moist and fried greatly the fries aren’t my favorite but ok if you’re hungry. Now on to the oysters… Over cooked had to chew way to much Parmesan and the cheese was burnt to a crisp all around. They was very disappointing for place called an oyster bar.

They need etiquette proper cleaning training and someone who actually knows how to prepare seafood. I wouldn't recommend and definitely won't be returning.

Stopped by during their happy hour. The raw oysters seemed ok, but it didn't seem super fresh. The wings were dry and very mediocre as far as flavor. The soup was more runny than I'd have liked. The butterfly shrimp was mostly batter. Tbh, none of the food seemed like it was something I'd want again. Not much interaction with the staff so can't speak on the service, but the interior looked like most other seafood places. With other good options around, i recommend passing on this place.

I really wanted to like this place because I love seafood and just moved less than 5 minutes away, but the shrimp and sausage gumbo missed the mark completely. The roux had a raw flour taste, and unseasoned steamed shrimp were stacked on top instead of cooked in. The shrimp felt like an afterthought, and the sausage was cut so small it didn’t add flavor or protein. I make gumbo roux from scratch, and just by looking at the color, I could tell the flour wasn’t parched enough—resulting in a dish that tasted more like savory flour porridge than actual gumbo. I had to drown it in Tabasco and Worcestershire just to make it edible. The fried oysters and margarita were just okay-ish. Hoping for improvements because I’d love to see this place succeed. Overall impression - the people and place amazing, the food that doesn't require science, probably good... but the craft and science of cooking was not here.

The food is fine, but if you’re Asian, it might be better not to go. They don’t even ask your name they just write ‘Chan’ as your name on the receipt. Check your receipt. Your name will probably say ‘Chan.’ When I asked why my name was ‘Chan,’ they said the woman who took the order heard it that way. But they never even asked for my name, and I never said my name. When I pointed that out, about five employees standing nearby didn’t say anything no apology, no attempt to fix it. It also felt like they didn’t want to give me the receipt. When I took it myself and looked at it, sure enough, it said ‘Chan.’
