Great restaurant and excellent service and reasonably priced. The owner is a great host and the food is amazing. I have been going there since the soft opening and keep coming back because the food is fresh and tasty. This time i had the chicken fried rice and the shrimp appetizer . All perfectly cooked.
Unmatched Service & Outstanding Sushi! From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely top-notch, attentive, friendly, and professional. Easily some of the best I’ve ever had, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite was a reminder of why this place stands out. You can tell they truly care about the food and their guests. Can’t wait to come back!
We decided to try something new for date night and we are so happy we did! The place might be small but don’t let that fool you, the food is amazing! Here is what we had: Appetizer- Caribbean, nice crispy plantain fresh crab salad (fusion food) so good! Tiger roll- crispy on the outside and my favorite! Shaggy dog- nice crispy shrimp on the inside and a small bit of heat to compliment the taste. My husband favorite. We will be back to try more !
Delicious sushi! 🍣 I love the tropical fusion rolls — very unique and different. 100% worth a try! The fish was fresh, and we really liked Leo’s service and attention. He made the rolls just the way I like them: thin and juicy. Personally, I don’t like huge rolls filled mostly with rice, so he did a great job!
I Love this sushi place! The food is delicious, with fresh and flavorful rolls that are generously sized. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The service is excellent—friendly and attentive staff who make sure you have everything you need. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes of the rolls. Highly recommend this spot to all sushi lovers!
We had the pleasure of dining at Sushi House recently, and although they aren’t officially open for dine-in yet (currently doing take-out only), the owner went above and beyond to accommodate us. From the moment we walked in, we could tell this place is something special. The owner was incredibly kind, making sure we were comfortable and even allowing us to stay past closing time, which we really appreciated. As for the food, it was simply amazing. We ordered the Shaggy Dog roll along with a couple of other rolls, and everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. You can really tell the care and quality that goes into their sushi. The presentation was beautiful, and the ingredients were top-notch. We’ve had sushi from several places around town, but Sushi House has easily become one of our new favorites. We’re thrilled that they’ve opened in our area, and we can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu. It’s rare to find a place that not only serves fantastic food but also provides such a welcoming, personable experience. Highly recommend Sushi House to anyone looking for fresh, delicious sushi and great service. We’ll definitely be back often!
If you're a sushi lover—or even just sushi-curious—this place is an absolute must-visit. From the moment I walked in, I knew it was in for something special. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between modern minimalism and warm hospitality. The sushi we ordered was phenomenal! It was incredibly fresh and had a tropical flair, just what we were hoping for from the moment we left home. We were eager to try this new place, and we definitely made the right choice! We ordered Sapporo tempura, Osaki, and Fantasy rolls. 5🌟 for each one! Also for the very gentle owner and staff! Excited to share this new gem with our family and friends!! We will be back!! Many thanks!!
This is hands down one of the best sushi spots I’ve been to, and I’ll definitely be coming back (probably way too often). Highly recommend to any sushi lover in the area!
An absolute gem! Every dish was a masterpiece, not just in flavor but also in presentation, attention to detail, and creativity. The sushi was fresh and the service was impeccable. The highlight? A dessert roll that was nothing but incredible!
If you're a sushi lover, Sushi House is an absolute must-try! As someone who knows Chef Andres personally, I can confidently say that his culinary artistry is unmatched. Every dish is a masterpiece, with incredible flavor combinations that dance on your palate, complemented by stunning presentations that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the taste buds. The ambiance at Sushi House only elevates the experience, creating a perfect setting for savoring each bite. Without a doubt, this is my go-to spot for sushi in H-town.
The food is very delicious. The rolls are big and well made. The sauces are very tasty and the service is excellent. The place is super cute and has a relaxing atmosphere. I recommend it 100%
Excellent Service, the place has the best tropical Sushi of the Area, Andrés provided a warm welcome and the quality of the food and plates is their best Asset 💯

Hands down the best vegetarian sushi I've ever had! Great place... clean environment, quick preparation of the meals, and attentive stuff.

If you’re looking for a place to replace the overrated restaurants everyone talks about, this is it. This spot is a true hidden gem that deserves way more recognition. From the first bite, you can tell the difference—the flavors are real, balanced, and thoughtfully done. Even the rice stands out, which says a lot. It’s perfectly seasoned and has a unique flavor you don’t find at most sushi places. What really impressed me is that every item has its own distinct taste. Nothing feels repetitive or rushed. Each roll and dish feels intentional, like care and pride went into creating it. It’s been a long time since I’ve had sushi where every bite felt different and memorable. Places like this are rare. Quality, flavor, and authenticity all in one. This is the kind of business people should be talking about more. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be coming back

I’ve been waiting for this place to open. The sushi was very good with quality presentation, but it’s way pricey for the environment. The vibe is more like an eatery than a restaurant, and the location is in the middle of a strip mall near a gas station and in between subdivisions. I would come back if they run a Groupon deal or offer specials but otherwise Tobiou has more variety and a better dining experience for the same price. Rolls were $17-19. $13.50 for the kids meal chicken nuggets and fries :( My server was inexperienced, maybe new..she wasn’t familiar with the menu (unagi, California roll) and brought out bottled water (and charged me $1.50) even when I specifically asked for a plain cup of free water.

The food was delicious, very good selection of sushi! They have several types of sushi! The customer service was good! The atmosphere is good! The only really bad thing are the drinks, they just offer sodas and a tea (I don’t know what tea) the drinks are cans. It is too mediocre to offer cans of sodas in a restaurant and they don’t have variety of drinks, such as lemonade, Arnold Palmer or sparkling water. They don’t offer refills either! They need to improve that to come back :)
Food was amazing! It felt a little like fusion of sushi and Central American food vibes. The rolls were prepared with passion and fresh! The apps were super good too! The Sushi House roll and Kamakura rolls were excellent! Fantasy roll was a heavy hitter too! The Twister salad was delish and the Gyozas and Crispy Rice top notch! Maybe it was a slow night so there was only two guys there. We were the only ones there but it took awhile to get some of our food to us and our check too. The guys are nice. The atmosphere is a little plain, but it’s a small joint.

Goid food but overpriced. Service was ok...they could do a lot better for a fairly new place.
The food in general was good but not exactly cheap. After ordering 4 plates of food the bill was already 54 dollars. With that amount of money I could buy a lot more plates somewhere else.
We checked out this place on Sun evening based on the high ratings and there was no one in the place. That should have been a sign. Not sure how they get away with calling it sushi when there are very limited Sashimi or Nigiri items on the menu. We ordered the Tuna Sashimi and received thick slabs of tuna instead of thinly sliced pieces. My daughter found it hard to eat. The rolls are overpriced for this part of town. This isn't Kata Robata - none of the rolls were worth their price ($17-$19). You're better off getting Sushiya at HEB for the food to value ratio versus this restaurant. And for the prices they are charging you would think they would provide free water, instead they charge for bottled water. While the restaurant itself was clean and has decent decor, the food was grossly overpriced for its quality. My family all agreed this was underwhelming dining experience. Suffice to say we won't be going back. Not sure how this place has earned such a high rating.
We came in for lunch and there were no other customers when we arrived. There were three workers who just looked at us and did not greet us when we came in. It took them a bit to lead us to our table with the menus. The menu options were fairly limited with mostly cooked items with cream cheese. We only ordered two items, an appetizer and a roll and the meal came out to be over $40 before tax. For the amount of food and service we received, we felt that it was pretty over priced.

My fiance and I came in to eat some sushi and we had high hopes for this place based on its 4.7-star rating, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. We ordered three classic sushi rolls—Shaggy Dog, Philadelphia Roll, and Spicy Tuna—along with an order of gyoza. The only redeeming parts of the meal were the can of Sprite (which came without glasses) and the gyoza, though it was oddly topped with honey mustard. The sushi rolls, however, were extremely disappointing. They had an overwhelming amount of rice, an unexpected honey mustard drizzle, and lacked any real flavor. The Spicy Tuna Roll, in particular, was a complete miss. As I walked to and from the bathroom, I noticed the sushi chef handling his phone, seemingly looking up how to make the roll—raising serious concerns about hygiene. The result was a roll that was poorly executed, with tuna placed on top and garnished with chives (see attached photo). While the restaurant itself was clean and nicely decorated, the food was grossly overpriced for its quality. This was an underwhelming and unsatisfactory dining experience, and I honestly don’t understand how this place has earned such a high rating.
