Stopped here with my family as we were passing through. Was a little hesitant at first seeing it was one of the only places opened in the town that night we came through. There were no other cars in the lot except for a sheriff, so we rolled the dice. I'm glad we did! Some of the best enchiladas I've had in some time.! Waitress and cooks were all friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stop here again if I ever found myself in George West in the future.

Stopped for gas near by. We got a some breakfast tacos to hold us over for the rest of the drive. We found that they were better then many in Austin. Thick corn tortillas that were lightly cooked so the outside had a nice crunch but inside was soft and flexible. The amounts of bacon, egg and cheese and potato and eggs were generous and served piping hot. One was just enough without making me uncomfortable for the rest of our trip home. The salsa would be considered mild unless you won the salsa lottery and got a seed, which bumped the level to medium. Seemed like all locals were eating there, but us, which is always a good sign. Very pleasant staff. Loved the vibe.

Stopped here for a quick bite on the way to South Padre. It was absolutely delicious. We liked it enough that we made it a point to specifically stop here for lunch on the way home. Great prices, friendly setting, great food. What more can one ask?

Hamburgers are delicious! Also, the waitress who served us was very kind! She called us sweetie, and she let us use the employee's bathroom when the women's bathroom was occupied. She also wore a nightmare before christmas shirt, which was cool.

This place has been my favorite place growing up, best enchiladas in town with the best experience and amazing service and you always feel at home and they always make sure my friends from school are eating good with there amazing food and service, best Mexican restaurant in town hands down and you will be satisfied when you come here. Best homemade creamy green sauce for dipping or pouring over your breakfast tacos or omelette. I ordered the potatoes, refried beans and egg omelette stuffed with Pico de Gallo, served with homemade flour tortillas and coffee. While hubby ordered two breakfast tacos, a barbacoa and a egg and potato served with a homemade flour tortilla. With a coffee and a glass of ice water. If you're looking for South Texas authentic traditional Hispanic Mexican cuisine, look no further they offer a menu full of delicious tasty dishes! Plenty of seating and top notch courteous and friendly customer service, greeted with a smile. Hard to find authentic traditional Mexican cuisine in and around the Houston metropolitan suburbs! Ole saying is if the parking lot is full of locals' vehicles packed to the brim that means the food is DAMN GOOD! 👍

We like to try different restaurants on our trips between McAllen and Austin. Saw the reviews were good for Jalisco Mexico so we had to try it. It did not disappoint! First let me say the salsa and chips were excellent. We ordered the Texas and Mexican enchilada plates. Very good as well. It was not crowded so the service was fast and friendly. It got crowded before we left though. My only complaint were the restrooms. No paper towels in the men’s and my wife said the toilet would not flush in the women’s. We would definitely go back for the food. So many great choices on the menu!

I got here in my Semi 15 minutes before closing. They still took my order and were polite. The thing is the tacos I bought were very good. Lots of flavor and plenty or cilantro and onion. Great food and a fair price I recommend eating here.

Ordered the number 21 . Very well served. Delicious. Place is quite simple and not loud like other restaurants where they have music to where you cant actually enjoy your food. Family friendly. Quite enjoyable and accommodating staff. Order comes fast which is a huuuuge plus.

The food was really good! I was pleasantly surprised! The only reason I gave a 4 star is due to the tables being dirty when I got there, but the waiter cleaned my table right away. The waiter was friendly & prompt. I had the chalupa plate, and my husband had the taquitos with tripa.

We come here several times a year and have really liked it! But last night it was just ok...The woman who is always working there was being ran to death because she was the only one on the floor which caused service to be slow...My food was good, but my family just thought theirs was ok... Disappointed.

Inside was clean. Staff friendly. Nothing was overly greasy. They just forgot to season anything that was on my plate. Guisada was tender. But if i was blindfolded i couldn't have told you what i was eating. Rice, beans, and beef enchiladas had same problem. Even the flour tortillas were Nothing to right home about.

We ate lunch and were disappointed with the quality of the food. Both my wife's and my lunches were dry. It appeared that the food had been prepared much earlier, and had been sitting under a hot light for a while.

Food was good, not great, but good enough. She charges us 14.75 for a Mexican plate and 1 taco. The bottled water was 3 dollars and the tea I got should have been thrown out yesterday. Will reconsider going there again.

Ordered here several times food is hit and miss I have yet to get a bean and cheese taco that is hot enough to melt the cheese on my way to work.several taco orders were missing toppings. I would check order before leaving drive thru. Friendly staff and willing to fix order for the times I took it back.

I rate this establishment three stars due to the satisfactory enchiladas. However, I advise against ordering breakfast after 10:30 AM, as the food is not freshly prepared and lacks the quality of freshly made items. Breakfast should consistently be prepared fresh. We won't go there again.

Ordered the parillada plate and it was several pieces from large to small of the meats. Looked like it was recooked several times. The torilla soup had the chips inside and it was soggy, tortilla soup normally has the chips on the side. Manager was not available but a young man helped us. And beans had pieces of ground beef in it.

You should be charge for get pancakes or breakfast. They charge twice price and service price. Total wrong.

My tacos wasn't too good, took too half an hour to cook and we were the only ones there. And didn't give me the Chile toreado that say on the menu

Service was slow. Only 1 waitress working the window and floor. After waiting so long, I left and didn't get my tea that I ordered. I was so flustered and obviously, the waitress forgot about my tea too. I feel service is better during breakfast and lunch.

The food was nasty...The rice they surved seems it had been for days ...we paid $50.00 for very little food it was a parillada and it didnt even have fajitas....my sis got a coktel de camaron and boy it only had like 5 shrimp the rest was tomatoe sauce with onion...the lady didnt even give us crackers for it we had to ask her to give us some....in the resturants in the first place you always place the salsas in the table the lady didnt even do that we were almost done with the food and we alsoo had to ask her for them ....Awfull resturant really dont recommend it to no one!!!!

Editing my 5 star review from a couple years ago. Stopped here again after about a year and this place is nothing like it used to be. Horrible service, mediocre food, had to ask for chips and salsa. Empty restaurant at 4pm and waitress sitting at a table watching TV. Will not be back. Prices are way too high for this type of service and flavor. Not like it used to be. Agave in Three Rivers is way better.

My wife and I stopped here to eat and regretted it. The food was very nasty. It was like food that was 5 days old that was simply reheated in the microwave. Nothing was fresh at all. Even the rice was a let down. It's tough to mess up rice, but I imagine it was due to the fact that it was old. Never again.

Christine decided to take it upon herself and assault and offend my kids tonight. This is unacceptable and if she isn't fired by the morning, I'll be in there with a formal complaint and police. You could have seriously hurt my kids. I'm not impressed! I'll also be calling for the health department to check things out. As this waitress has tried to poison my kids.

Ordered 2 tacos and when I was picking up order I told them I was needing to change 1 taco for a plate and I didn't need the 1 and they said I still had to pay for it . I said I don't need it and still , No type of Customer service and they lost my business. Now I know y every one told me they were trash. Trash is what that restaurant is .

Tried this place 2 times and both times the service was sub par and the food is nasty. It’s the worst Mexican food I’ve ever tasted. If you want Mexican food go across the street to Agave Jalisco. The restaurant maintained an unacceptable wait period which exceeded what any customer should experience while the establishment remained empty of customers. The service at the restaurant proved unprofessional because it operated at a slow pace while being disorganized which made me unhappy before I received my food. The environment created additional problems for me. The restaurant environment presented itself as disorganized through its loud noises and messy conditions which failed to create a pleasant dining experience. The combination of unhelpful staff members with their disorganized service created an experience that resembled being stuck in a failing school cafeteria instead of a restaurant. The food presentation at the table remained a mystery to me. The meat served at the table lacked any flavor while its texture became tough and its dryness reached levels that made it feel like eating cardboard. The entire dining experience became difficult to eat because each bite required excessive effort and the remaining food failed to improve the situation. The food at this restaurant tasted worse than any snack I have ever purchased from a gas station. The kitchen staff demonstrates complete ignorance about seasoning and basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods. The restaurant chaos did not affect Christina who provided exceptional service to our table. The restaurant staff member Christina demonstrates exceptional work ethic and professional behavior while maintaining a positive demeanor during the restaurant's chaotic environment. The manager failed to acknowledge her during a crucial moment which displayed unprofessional behavior that bordered on workplace bullying. The restaurant staff member Christina faces personal difficulties yet she delivers outstanding service while showing respect to customers despite receiving no support from her managers. She is the only reason this experience did not become completely intolerable. The management team should provide Christina with recognition through salary increases and adequate workplace support. The restaurant benefits from her exceptional service because she provides outstanding service while the restaurant fails to deliver quality food and maintain a comfortable environment. The restaurant should immediately reward Christina because she demonstrates exceptional value to the establishment through her outstanding work. The restaurant serves terrible food while providing bad service in an uncomfortable environment. The management team requires immediate intervention to achieve proper oversight. Placed an order over the phone and when we went to pick up, the wait was horrific. I bought a bottled coke that was on a small refrigerator yet it was hot. I asked for a cup of ice as a courtesy for the hot soda and she wanted to charge extra. I told her it was not very fair to pay for something extra if the item was not cold as it should be. She ignored me and again repeated the amount for the ice. Extremely rude and distasteful of y’all.👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

My cheese enchiladas were meh, and I'm 99% sure they topped them with shredded mozzarella cheese and just heated them up. Didn't even come close to my lowest expectations. Portions are small and rice and beans are not great. To go orders from every over Mexican restaurant I have ordered from come with a separate large container containing a lot of beans, rice, other veggies, and maybe some sour cream or guacamole. Honestly, this is the most disappointing meal I have ever gotten from a Mexican restaurant. I will never come here again. The picture shows the entire cheese enchilada to go order.
