I always love going to this location because it's clean and the staff is polite. The decor has changed recently. The counters and high barstools have been replaced by regular chairs and booths. They still have a great menu, including the value section.
I walked into Wendy's on Saturday and was very impressed with the new renovation. I was able to place my order and was out in less than 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend this fast food restaurant to anyone shopping in the area. I will stop by more often knowing that they provide good customer service along with short lines.
they renovated so things are cleaner and their establishment now have digital menus. i don't know if they did any upgrades to their computers but for some reason something seems more efficient because the line moves a lot faster. quick even if the line is long. in and out in 10min during lunch hr.
Very efficient staff. It was very crowded but the staff did a great job serving everyone quickly. They also kept the tables and seats very clean, and ensured people who were not customers did not take seats from customers (again it was packed, so very few open seats). They did all of this, and with the stress, remained very polite and professional. This manager should train the terrible staff at 650 Broadway on how to run a Wendy’s and how to treat customers/people.

I visited Wendy’s recently and overall, it was a good experience. The ordering process was fast, the staff were polite, and I was happy to see some items looking fresh.
So I haven’t been here since high school and I tell you the food here comes out hot. The other Wendy’s doesn’t …. I was surprised on how good it was! And they were quick!!! Their system of prepping and preparing, you knew you weren’t going to wait long. The workers are great and show get acknowledged on their performance!

Place was fine and food I had was good. My one gripe is that the bathrooms are far from the counter and near the main entrance. The reason that was a problem was there was no staff anywhere nearby. I couldn't tell if the bathroom door was locked because there was a patron in there, or simply because I needed to enter a code. I had walk all the way to the front to ask, risking my place in line.
Clean restaurant with fast service. I was there at about 530 pm and didn't have to wait too long to order or get my order. You can order inside via the kiosk machine or with a person. The food is fresh and the $5 deal is great.
Been coming here for years. Never a complain about service or food. Place can be crowded most times. Overall this is a good place for my large family and I to come and enjoy our Wendy's favorites. Could use a remodel. Edit: Has since been remodeled.
Standard fast food chain outlet. EXCEPT for the installation of customer kiosks. These allow you to set up your meal personally before actually paying. This insures your order is correct -one's to blame but you. The idea is you order , the staff gets it in the kitchen. It's prepared and bagged by the time you reach the cashier. One thing. It doesn't work well both kiosks were malfunctioning the touch screens placing the wrong items into the order and trying to go back was difficult Took us 5 minutes to order using it. It's supposed to eliminate a step in the service process it doesn't. The restaurant was a bit messy and the soda machine was out of about 6 choices. The FOOD was okay a bit sloppily put together and the order of fries was seriously short on fries.
I've been to this wendy's a number of times. I like the Wendy's product very much, but the location here is difficult. Union Sq attracts a tough patron demographic and the area tends to be a bit grimier. Would recommend carry out or delivery. Still enjoy their product.
I was looking forward to Wendy’s from previous visits, but was a bit disappointed this time. Staff weren’t very friendly, the restaurant wasn’t clean and the burger wasn’t hot.
The personnel was very friendly. I ordered spicy chicken tenders and asked for sauce. The young lady asked if I wanted the spicy sauce. I didn't even know they had it. She was a good salesperson.
Its a convenient place for Wendy's offerings. But I almost have to provide my SSN for the assistant manager to open up the rest room for my use. This is ridiculous. He behaved as though he wanted a bribe or perhaps a tip (????!!!!!) for unlocking the rather secured bathroom door and whinged incessantly as he proceeded to unlock said door. 🤷♂️
This establishment has been around for a long time. If ur looking for a place to eat that's not crowded, this is the place. The only drawback is people who are not necessarily eating use it as a hangout. Aside from that, it's conveniently located near mass transit.
It's just my opinion, but it seems like the burgers taste different. Did they change the recipe or change the meat? Chicken nuggets are still the same taste ,great with honey mustard. They really do need to work on cleaning app the tables because when we got to a table, we still saw food on another table, and the floors were dirty.
Food, Service was great and the Restaurant is well kept. Bathroom needs constant upkeep and they should have a guard making sure no good boogers enter and disturb paying customers trying to enjoy a meal.
Both the registers and the kiosks are available to order from but the kiosks do not accept tap payment. Fast food, quick lunch, about 15 min wait It is your usual Wendy's.
Very clean food. Baked potato with sour cream and chives was not old or over baked. Clean restroom for woman. Men's not. So great but usable. Considering you have to use the code.
This is one of the many fast food restaurant around Union Square...What I like about this Wendy's..is that it has Kikos where you can order instead of waiting in line...My favorite to order at Wendy's is their ..Apple Pecan salad its very refreshing especially when you add their promegranate dressing..also their meal deals ..4 for $4 or the Biggie Bag $5...and as always their fries are great!..and burgers fresh!!
fairly busy Wendy’s. it’s always fairly crowded because it’s on 14th Street. recently, discovered the Wendy’s selection of cold brews but they are more dessert-y than coffee. the menu is standard Wendy’s which is better than most fast food in NYC. mostly been grab-n-go with food as seats go fast during prime eating hours. the service is fairly efficient except when there’s a crowd of people ordering. service is can be mostly friendly-ish except when the staff is overwhelmed. my recommendation is order via the Wendy’s app and pickup.
What is there really to say? It's Wendy's, delicious fast food at its finest. Sadly this location is usually so crowded, that despite the sweltering conditions outside, it was worse to remain indoors.
It's Wendy's, you know what you're getting. However, I just want the touch screens to work so you can easily place an order. It took way too long to be able to utilize the self serve kiosk, and the employees at the counter did not seem thrilled to have to talk to customers and take orders.
Great location. Pretty decent size dining area, great location, same great prices that Wendy's is known for, and the staff here are really fast. One guys order was ready just as he finished making his payment.
This location and the staff and restaurant itself was fine. But as soon as I sat down to eat, a man who may have been homeless, began harassing and yelling at me. It got to the point where I decided to leave the establishment for my own safety. He even proceeded to follow me towards the door. I left feeling extremely unsafe and on the verge of a panic attack. I will likely not return to this location after this experience. All I wanted was to enjoy my favorite fries in peace!
I don't want to sound old, but the days of fast cheap food are gone. I spent 8.50$ on a sandwich. It was good but not 8.50 good. What happened to affordable food. For this price is should jave just gone to a taco spot. Again nothing wrong with the food or the place. Just not worth the price tag for 1 sandwich
A better Wendy's location than the one I went to in upper Midtown - although a less well trodden area by tourists it is still close to the heart of the West Village so therefore lively at all times of the day. I visited late in the evening on a Sunday, so there were a lot of weary people eating here at the end of the night. Tables weren't being cleaned and the garbage bins were overflowing, but at least I ordered from the kiosks and the food turned up quickly, and the person serving me was reasonably polite.
It's hit or miss. The food is good, when they get the order correct. Yesterday they forgot my burger and my granddaughters fries. Because we ordered at the kiosk, no receipt. So my husband had to repay for my burger. No napkins. The place could be cleaner. The homeless come in a lot and try to get money from you. I don't use the restroom.
I usually have a good experience. I ordered for pick up through uber. When I got there the screen said it was ready. I told the person behind the counter I was there for pickup and he asked my name, checked the bags and said it wasn't ready. Then he moved a bag to the left side of the counter. I waited while everyone who just ordered got their food, finally I asked another worker if my food was ready. He checks and it's the bag on the left that the other worker had moved. I asked why he didn't just give me my food when I asked, since it was ready and he refused to acknowledge me and turned his back on me. I asked for the manager.....it was him. I asked again why he would do that and that I feel he was being racist, since I was the only black person waiting for food. He never answered. I will be calling corporate on Monday smh
Gentleman cleaning was very disrespectful referring to my acquaintances and I as "hey yo" felt as though he singled us out we were the only people he could take shots every opportunity he had to tell us the part of the dining room was closed... French fries changed... they are good.
Good value, but way too crowded. My order took 9 minutes to get. The new self service kiosk was not that consumer friendly to use. Half my order came in 4 minutes, then I had to wait another 5 minutes for my food plus cold fries as a bonus. When I asked for a receipt they said they couldn't find it.
Clean with decent seating if you don't show up at the peak lunch hour, with the usual Wendy's menu. There are bathrooms, though you will have to ask for the door code. The food is up to the usual Wendy's quality and it's about as good as you will find for an economy-priced burger joint in Manhattan.

Not sure what happened. They put in a large amount of self order kiosks. They seemed overwhelmed with handing out completed orders. It's a mob scene while you wait almost 20 minutes to get your food. You watch your name go down and up and then back down further then up again as the orders are completed. The screen gives you no concept of when your name may be called. The French fries were fresh from the fryer and crispy. My burger was dried out without any tomato or lettuce on it even though it normally comes with it. I didn't want to wait another 18 minutes for another burger so I let it go. I wouldn't go back to this location nor would I suggest for anyone to go either. A real bad experience. Shame because I enjoy Wendy's over all, just not this location.
Update review 01/01/23: I have been here several times these past two weeks and they never add extra vegetables to your sandwich even though you order it like that on the app. The soda machines have been out of many flavors for several days. The place is not well cleaned: fries on the floor, dirty tables covered with grease and garbage bins brimming with trash.
While the food was fresh.. the atmosphere was dirty... The young ladies at the counter were very nice, but they had no straws... but they all were doing a job..not just gossiping ...I liked that👌
Used to be good, probably still is good in the daytime. If you go there after 10pm, be careful of getting food poisoning from what I can only assume is caused from bad handling of the food during night shifts. That was my experience, my first time leaving late from work to try to relax with a 4 for $4 and got food poisoning the next two days.
I've loved Wendy's for many years. However recently upon my visit, I saw cockroaches upon the ketchup and the wastebaskets were so overloaded that they ran to the floor !! I'm sure it's due to the sleeping manager currently responsible for this location.
Avoid this location unless you want cold food, to be haggled by the unhomed & sit in a dirty location.
My friend ordered a kids meal for her child , she paid $7.49 and they did not give her the toy. Ticket number 1067. It was not busy at all at this place
It was so hot inside the eatery the workers looked exhausted. There was no ac and the door was open but its so far away you cant feel the air i truly felt bad for them. But the food was good
Nothing new as far as the food goes. The tables were dirty, and there was a long wait in line.
All the self order kiosks were not working and the online order option was also down. We had to stand in line for 35 min which is just ridiculous. On top of that, a group of teenagers came in and started to harrase everyone in the restaurant and steal soda from the machines and the staff tried to stop them but they did not call security or cops so we rushed out of there. The food was ok.
Only 1 of the self serve kiosks was working. Others allowed you to order but the card terminal wasn’t working when you reached the payment stage. Service was efficient but staff seemed bored. Eventually saw a staff member clean some tables and floor but restaurant needed more cleaning. Decor is tired. Whether this is the standard for Wendy’s in the US not sure but was a sub par experience
Place was filthy. Need to have someone cleaning tables sweeping and empty garbage. Need to have someone to keep out vagrants so customers could eat in peace. Need to do better than that for the price you pay for a meal.
This Wendy's location takes some courage to visit. It's just an overall unpleasant experience, from the broken ordering screens, to the unfriendly service (including figuring out how to actually retrieve your order), to the dirty tables and floor. Thankfully their food is generally good (mostly because they're busy so the items turn over quickly), but I think Dave would be ashamed to see his daughter's good name put on this restaurant's location.
The floor was filthy and they can use additional garbage cans by the beverage machines. The employees need to improve on their Listening skills and clean the tables a little more often. I had to clean my own table
I was here on Sunday 3/23/25. This is not the same restaurant I remember. The food quality was poor. The restaurant isn't clean. The drink machines were turned off. You used to need a code to open the bathroom door, and be a paying customer. They'll only give you a refill if you have a receipt. There's a lot of homeless people who come in there to loiter and harass customers. Staff is rude. This place needs new management and the bathroom doors need to be locked again. I saw other customers who walked right out and didn't use bathroom at all.
Order an online mobile order. I got my drink. Was waiting for my food and I saw my order on the screen go to ready, then disappear. So after a moment I tried asked the man who made my drink what was going on and he cut me off and said “they will call your order when it’s ready” so o waited and waited, finally a woman asked me what I was waiting on. And I told her. They had my order set aside and ready, never called it out. She said “you need to let us know when you’re here” and I said…. I DID. I literally had my drink waiting on my food and I tried to ask a worker and he cut me off. Food wasn’t as fresh because of it and the customer service had me annoyed.
Food was fine but they only had 1 soda fountain working so I had to wait 5 min to get a drink. Worst part was no air conditioning, it was slightly cooler outside. Felt bad for all the employees standing around fanning themselves
I walk in and ask if I can use the restroom. The employee politely give me access. I open the door and to my surprise the restroom was filthy. There was also a missing toilet seat. How can you expect to serve the public and have a restroom that filthy. I wanted to post a picture but it was so bad I didn’t want to disgust the public anymore than I most likely already have. To Wendy’s management, you have to do better.
I’m allergic to pickles so everytime I order a burger or sandwich I always tell them no pickles on the food. They messed up 3 times and last time I had an allergic reaction. Been trying to talk to the district manager about it but she keeps ducking my calls. Wendy’s corporate reached out to her and she tells them she’s busy. It’s been about two weeks now and she seems to not care about the health of her customers. The store is always messy. Horrible service.
This is a great place to eat if you like your order wrong or you enjoy waiting 20 minutes for your meal. I appreciate that they've been open throughout this entire pandemic, but the service at this Wendy's is consistently bad. Even worse, if there is a problem with an order, rather than simply giving the customer the correct burger, fry, or drink, they will argue with the customer.
My first visit to Wendy's in NY. I placed an order through the app and waited for it to be prepared. They made me not what I asked for, but what was available, since the kitchen did not have the necessary ingredients, they gave me a glass, but I could not fill it with cola, since there was only Dr. Pepper left, which I can’t stand. when I said that I wanted to return the money, the manager threw up his hands and said that the machine was not working. The toilet didn't work either, I couldn't even wash my hands. Terrible place
If you want to replace people with machines get some that actually function instead of that low budget garbage with the blinding laser scanner and no tap pay integration while you are at it hire some humans to clean it's filthy in the seating area

I ordered from the kiosk. I was charged. After 15 minutes still have not received my order. Went up to ask about what was going on. They had no clue what I was talking about. Then proceeded to just ignore me for another 5 minutes. So I just left because I do not have the time to waste. Avoid this location at all cost.
This Wendy's is so terrible at customer service. I always order mobile and I will see them bag my order push it's done and let it sit there. They always do it like I'm standing there watching them and then give an attitude when I ask them for my food.

The temperature in here is very hot. The line pouring food was extremely long. None of the machines were actually working to order your food. If you were able to select the foods and the credit card machine was not working. And then there is a lot of homeless people in here they do not do nothing about that, and also the tables are extremely dirty and it just kinda gets. You ghost up to watch them walking around with a little spray bottle spring, the bottle on the table and not even ringing out rinsing the RAG just using the same RAG on all the tables and then you know all they do is just, you can see the food when they're just wiping the table they just throw. It on the floor and then they're not even sweeping in to pick it up overall. I would definitely say, definitely not a family fast food restaurant. Based on the people that are in here as far as the homeless people, the smell, the temperature and the service was very, very slow
Quite possibly the absolute worst fast-food experience I’ve ever had. Upon entering I was greeted by the lovely smell of dirty mop water, which lingered throughout the entire restaurant. I decided to ignore the smell as a fluke (poor mistake). This is where it gets its worst and continues till the end: attempting to order food at a kiosk, not only were all the kiosks INCREDIBLY slow but most of them outright didn’t work! After ordering the food, and getting it, I opened my ghost pepper chicken sandwich. The bread was covered in brown stains, and the entire sandwich smelled TERRIBLE. I almost puked during and after eating this poor excuse for food. The soda machines were almost unusable and lacked all the ingredients needed, but the soda I got was decent, and same goes for the fries, which were normal, but overall this place was atrocious and I’m never returning.
Bad service, product not fresh, all the time soda is like water because they serve it in to much advantage before your food is ready, all the time is a @:$(#;+€÷ show to use the restroom, if you use the self service you dont get receive. Also very dirty location, trash container always full,,, restrooms nasty, I don't understand how if just customer have access to the restrooms can be all the time dirty.
The food is normal fast food but the teenage server with the big afro who worked the counter at 1110pm on February 10th should not be working at a service industry. He was making fun of the names of customers who paid for their order through the self-order machine, where the customers' name will show up on the screen. He will yell at the customer's name and said it wrong on purpose and laughed about it with his coworker. The customers go to Wendy to spend their hard earned money on food, not to be made fun of. Get rid of this joker if Wendy want to keep its establishment operate in a professional manner and retain its costumers.
Service was extremely slow. Slowest of them all. Stood at the cash register for 15 minutes and no one came to ask what my order is or nothing. Pointless workers.
Wish I could leave a zero star review. Placed an order through their kiosks since they don’t have actual humans taking orders, waited 20 minutes to be told they didn’t actually have what I ordered (a human taking an order would have known this) then they Didn’t process my refund correctly. Manager was incredibly rude too - he was annoyed I wanted to cancel my entire order because an item was missing. Like that’s unreasonable. Will never eat here or order from here again and advise you all to avoid this location as well.
Very dirty place! A bunch of homeless people, toilets are dirty, do not close. The smell in the room is like in the toilet at the station, dirty tables, dirty floors, as if no one has ever cleaned here! Half of the self-service devices do not work! I don't know where the owners of these establishments look, it seems that they are not interested in anything in their business! I do not recommend this place to anyone, do not go there, there is a very unpleasant atmosphere!
Young women at 9pm refused to assist in taking an order she's wears a mask I don't understand if you don't like your job go find another one.
The employees are unfit to work in this type of food service register lady failed to stay on top of her orders mind you she had 3 orders to fulfill she was unable to get them out properly and not in time either as 2 of 3 customers left their food behind after asking for a refund she slowed down the 2 other employees with incorrect orders she had to have one of the cooks help her expedite and take out orders she fell behind on 3 orders and ended up queing a line of 7 people .
Just got a breakfast combo but for some reason they forgot to put potatoes that it supposed to come with. By time I get to it it was to far from location. Staff should be more careful when they pack an order
I’ve been a loyal Wendy’s fan for years, but my recent visit to the Wendy’s at 20 E 14th St, New York, NY 10003 was an absolute letdown, easily the worst fast food experience I’ve ever had. Walking in, the floors were sticky, and every table was littered with crumbs and smudges clearly, no one’s cleaned in hours. The vibe was off from the start. The food was a complete disappointment. Wendy’s is usually my go to for fresh, tasty fast food, but everything here tasted off, like it had been sitting out too long. The fries were soggy, the spicy chicken was cold, and even the lemonade, which I normally love, tasted nasty, like it was expired or made with bad ingredients. I couldn’t even finish my meal, it was that bad. To top it off, the service was awful. The girl at the counter was incredibly rude, acting like I was an inconvenience. When I mentioned using my rewards, she gave me attitude and didn’t even want to honor my coupons, making the whole process a hassle. It’s shocking how poorly this location is run. Wendy’s, please do better this place is dragging your name through the mud. I won’t be back to this one anytime soon.
Absolutely disgusting location!! So many homeless people. As soon as you walk in it’s filthy (doors, everything) I was so grossed out but decided to have lunch. Bad idea. The drink I wanted said unavailable, the chicken nuggets were cold! The staff was nice. No one was rude. The AC wasn’t working well. It just felt muggy and smelly. I’m so grossed out. Never going back again.
I used to love coming to this place until the heartless operators/owners of this location force their employees to work in over 95 degree heat because they are too cheap to put on air conditioning. It is absolutely disgusting to see employees having to work in these conditions. If the AC is “not working” or being “repaired”, shut down your location until they work.
