Restaurante con buena localización, ideal para el turismo. Gran variedad de platos tradicionales británicos, como el fish and chips, junto con opciones mediterráneas frescas, porciones bastante generosas y muy bien presentadas. El servicio muy bueno con las recomendaciones y la atención al cliente. Por ponerle una pega es que la comida tardó un poco en servirse.

En The Clipper se come bastante bien dentro de lo que ofrecen: una carta sencilla con platos básicos como nachos, pastas y el típico fish and chips. No es comida de autor ni pretende serlo, pero las raciones vienen generosas y cumplen más que de sobra si lo que buscas es comer bien sin complicarte. Los precios sorprenden para estar en pleno centro de Gibraltar, donde normalmente todo se dispara. Aquí son muy ajustados y eso se agradece, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta la cantidad que sirven. El personal es atento, rápido y, además, hablan español, lo que hace todo mucho más cómodo si no vas con ganas de pelearte con el inglés. El local no pretende impresionar, pero funciona: es práctico, directo y da justo lo que promete. Si buscas un sitio céntrico, con buen precio, raciones abundantes y trato cercano, The Clipper es una opción más que acertada para parar a comer sin complicaciones.

Me encantó la comida! Comida británica (o hispano-británica) bien servida, buenas cantidades, muy buen fondo de comida y a precio razonable. Volveré a comer allí en mi próxima visita a Gibraltar!

Hemos ido a comer en familia guiándonos por las reseñas y ha sido todo un acierto. Buen trato, camarero muy simpático y comida excelente. Tanto los platos principales como los postres. Además, muy buena relación calidad-precio. En torno a unos 20€/pax. Sin duda, un lugar ideal para ir a comer si pasas el día en Gibraltar.

Buen sitio para comer algo rápido, precios económicos, no se si por ser un puerto Franco y no tener impuestos, pero los precios de media son entre 8€/£ y 14€/£. Platos pequeños 5,95€/£. Tienen la posibilidad de medios platos para niños menores de 12 años. El servicio muy amable,

Fuimos 6 a comer. Diluviaba el jueves 5 de febrero. Entramos y el sitio es muy acogedor. Nos atendió Estefanía la única persona que habla español. Un encanto. Nos recomendó y acertó. Los fish and chips buenísimos. Y los postres más... Muy bien de precio. Ojalá volvamos a Gibraltar algún día y podamos pasear por las calles y así volvemos al clípper.

Found this place by accident, what a find after attending the busy 3 kings festivities , we sat outside and had the double burger (2 meals £18.95) wow ,food was brilliant with 2 largers and the to die for crumble £32 ,we returned every night during to week to sample the different mains ,was never disapointed . The staff are so pleasent and there are multi screens for news and sport (if its not on they will find it ). The bar has some really nice features aswell,overall really nice place to try.

This place was recommended by a local. My first time having an English breakfast, it was quite good. Don’t hate on the beans! I’d say it’s more healthy than some of the things we have in the U.S. It all comes nicely together in a balanced meal and the Clipper does it well. Even the tea was good, even though it’s in a bag. Stop by and try, if you don’t want the full one you can get the mini version.

If there’s one word to describe The Clipper, it’s excellence. The food was absolutely spectacular, from dinner to breakfast (yes, we had to come back for breakfast because we loved dinner so much). We started with the cheesy garlic bread – incredible, such a perfect start. Then came the mains: fish and chips and steak pie. Truly beyond words. Everything was divine, absolutely everything. The white wine was excellent too. We finished with The Clipper’s chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream – so, so good. Breakfast was just as amazing, with menus at incredible prices. We tried both the regular and the small – delicious, every bite. And the menus already include (large) drinks!! I honestly couldn’t recommend this place more – excellent and fast service, great atmosphere, perfect location, and amazing prices!

It is a great place if you want to eat fish & chips without going to England. Staff was very friendly and smiling. On the tap delicious Murphy's red beer. We really enjoyed our dinner, portions were great. We also had to try desserts. Everything super tasty.

Had an excellent experience with the establishment. Good proper English food, excellent service and very friendly staff! Ordered the fish and chips and they were delicious, the chips nice and crispy just like as the ones in London. Good portion sizes and overall good value for your money. I’d recommend getting the fish and chips, you cannot go wrong with that!

Comida muy rica a buen precio en el centro de Gibraltar. El trato por los camareros muy correcto. Está en una zona bastante tranquila por lo que es muy agradable estar en la terraza. Las raciones son generosas, así que mejor no pedir bastantes cosas

Typical pub food. They go a bit for quantity over quality. Paid £33 for 2 beers, fish and chips and a quessadilla type thing. If you order after 18:00, you can get a meal deal. Though the fish and chips had a surcharge of £2.

Good food, friendly staff. I had some fish and chips which was not over the top but did taste fresh. A friend had the steak and ale pie and recommends it. Its a British pub in Gibraltar along the lines of a Wetherspoons. The food is reasonable and the beer is ok if not unimaginative. It was busy when we went and the football was on the big screens. We has the guacamole which came in a huge portion for just under £9. Apple pie was pretty good too. Not paying VAT helps to keep prices and you cant complain about a pint of Guinness for £4.30. Really weird to pay for things in sterling! Toilets were really clean and table staff were friendly. No awful service charge either!

Opted for the fish and chips. Fish fried with skin on. Was hoping for chips but it came with fries. Unfortunately not served with peas, thenk they must be an added extra. Had a red wine which was lovely and a spiced chai latte. Good value for money. Spacious restaurant with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor.

The restaurant was overcrowded, but the waitress was willing to find us a table after some waiting. However, we then waited about 45 minutes for our food. I had a veggie burger which was extremely spicy. Nowhere on the menu was it stated that the dish was spicy. I couldn’t finish the patty. Overall, the burger was below average. The waitress showed no interest at all – she didn’t ask why I hadn’t finished the meal or whether I liked it. Zero interest. We also had fish and chips, which were fine. The fries that came with the burger were fine as well.

Food was alright. Larger portions, I would say good for two especially if you want an appetizer to start. Server wasn't too attentive. We weren't offered a second round of drinks or asked how the food was. Everything is claimed to be housemade. Steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes were bland, and the crust on the minced beef pie was soggy in the middle.

Passed this busy pub and saw somebody eating what looked like a good Sunday dinner. I thought it'd be nice to have a roast dinner with a pint of Guinness. The Guinness was excellent. However, the vision of the Sunday roast was much more satisfying than actually eating it. The Yorkshire pudding was overdone on the outside. The roast potatoes were passible but not crispy. The pork (as all the beef had gone) was dry, the vegetables uninspiring, gravy was passable and the potatoes seemed like they were made from powder, so dry were they, in the mouth. Noticing that I'd left at least a third of my meal, the server asked me if I'd enjoyed it. The server explained they were real potatoes but they'd been prepared in the morning. No wonder they were dry then… I've been to this place a number of times, last year even, but all the staff seemed different and it was the most disappointing meal I've ever had there. Unlikely to return.

Went there with my family to have something to eat after a nice day at Gibraltar. Nice Pub atmosphere. The food was classical British pub food, we ordered chicken pie, fish and chips, hamburger and a lamb burger with cheesy nachos to start. The nachos has something like ketchup and corn which ruined it but the nachos were good, the fish and chips was very good and the chicken pie great. The hamburger was closer the fast food burger and the lamburger has mint sauce which again ruined it... Not all lamb should have a sweet mint sauce with it. My daughter ordered a caramel cake with custard and that was a killer.. Really good... Nice place and lovely service... Cool vibe

Tomamos Fish& chips , y la verdad que muy Justo, parecía como de comida preparada …. Así que la experiencia fue mejorable . El servicio también es mejorable , porque en la terraza si bien nos atendieron correctamente al principio , tuve que levantarme para pedir más bebida , porque nadie aparecía por el lugar a preguntar. Si quieres comer rápido , barato , y comida muy mejorable , ves a este sitio , que seguro tendrás lo que buscas . Desde luego que prefiero otras opciones mejores …. y no muy lejos ….. huir de este sitio por favor !!!
