You need to stop at the Verona location! Friendly staff and checked on us throughout the evening making sure everything was to our satisfaction. My strawberry margarita was delicious while eating the chips, salsa, and queso cheese (highly recommend)! My chicken chimichanga was perfect and a large enough portion to take some home for later. Finally, I had the flan desert and was my favorite part of the meal!! You must add this to your list of places to check out!!!

FANTASTIC start to finish! You’ll be glad you came by. The staff are prompt, and attentive and kind! The service is top notch while being friendly and fun. The tropical pineapple was a delicious feast of flavors that make your taste buds come alive. To top it off, there is lovely live music and infectious cheer that takes over the room! El Charro is worth it. 5/5 stars.

We've gone twice now on a Friday between 5-6 and have gotten sat right away. I got chips and salsa within minutes, which my kids love. Same Waitress both times and super nice fast service. Get the pitcher of margaritas. it's worth it.

My husband and I stopped here for dinner. We were seated promptly and were given chips and salsa immediately. The restaurant was clean and very well kept. Our waitress and the other staff were very friendly. Our food was hot and plentiful when it was brought out. We both were very happy with our food. We will return another time for dinner.

Delicious every time we’ve been here. Tonight, we both tried a dish we haven’t had before. We ordered the Quesadilla Fajita and the Tropical Pineapple. Neither disappointed! And the staff are always so friendly and helpful. The Jalapeño Margarita was delightful as well.

We decided to have an easy night and not cook since half the family is out of town- so we ordered from here for the first time via delivery on ubereats. Everything was filling and delicious! We will definitely order from here again!

Big portions. Fajitas were well seasoned. Staff not as attentive though. Rice and beans were bland. Esquite Guac was great. Food wasn't spicy, and when asked for sauce, they charged for the sauces, which was a first. Tomatillo sauce was good though, the other was in fact really spicy but my mom liked it.

Service was good, but we did not care for the food. The food was fairly tasteless and it wasn't prepared in the style we prefer, however, my disclaimer is that we are used to a California and Colorado style of Mexican food preparation. As a vegetarian, it was fairly challenging to find a complete meal because the refried beans have lard.

Food was absolutely delicious, which it usually always is. Staff however seemed like they were trying to rush us out even though it wasnt very busy. We were going to both get dessert, but she brought us the check and never asked. Kinda sucks, as fried ice cream was the reason we came here for my bday. So we went elsewhere for dessert. Waunakee location is much more friendly and food is just as good!

Food was mediocre, nothing special. I had chimichangas, they covered it with Mole sauce, and that was all I could taste. The bus boy/server that brought the food out wore gloves, I am sure to 'protect' us from the viruses and bacteria that he could transfer to us through skin contact without the gloves. Funny thing was, with those same gloves on, he was scratching his beard and playing with the tv remotes. Not worth the stop or price.

We ordered the steak fajitas and the meat was so tough it was inedible. Tasted like it had been over cooked yesterday and overcooked again. Server did a fine job. We did not complain to the server but sure won't go back again

First, I don’t post negative reviews about restaurants unless the food is really bad. Unfortunately, this is the case. The experience started off well, but went down hill very quickly. We were seated within a few minutes of our reservation for ten, and the area we were seated in was a nice area. The chips and salsa were delicious and they were refilled immediately. I ordered steak fajitas and my wife ordered chicken quesadillas. My kids ordered burritos and my sister ordered Hawaiian fajitas. My fajitas came and I placed the ingredients into two shells, trying to eat them, but they had a burnt taste. I tried to cover the taste by mixing the rest of the fajitas with the other ingredients (lettuce, tomato, sour cream, etc.), and it was so burnt that I couldn’t eat it. I wanted to try and eat it but I couldn’t, as the smell and taste turned my stomach. I normally just eat bad food, say nothing and choose not to return, in order to not make a scene. This case was by far the worst Mexican food I have ever been served. My daughter said her burrito was gross, as was my wife’s quesadilla. Both of them ate about half of their meals. My sister’s fajita was edible on the top, but also black and charred on the bottom. The waitress never came back until everyone was almost finished. She told me there was nothing she could do besides refund my meal, and that the “burning” happens with fajitas. However, having eaten fajitas at many other establishments, I know burnt fajitas that can be smelled and are black on the bottom are not common. The bill came and my meal was included on the bill. The waitress said she thought I was kidding about my burnt meal. I had to have her change it, as it would have been $80 for horrible overpriced food. I walked out paying $60 for food I couldn’t even enjoy. There are tons of great Mexican restaurants in the Madison area and this establishment is on the bottom of my list. I would never recommend eating here to anyone and I will never return to eat here again. Please consider doing the same.

NOT A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION. Walked in. They were talking in Spanish among themselves. No one saw us come in and walk close to the PLEASE WAIT TO BE SEATED sign. Our server could not hear me tell him my order. Had to repeat it about 4 times. The music was so loud. I asked a lady if there was a way to turn the music down. She told me that some of the music is loud. But she would see if she could. Quesadilla had onions, peppers and tomato inside. That is not on the menu. Come to find out the SHREDDED CHICKEN is mixed with all those ingredients. What if someone is allergic to one of them????? Our server did not even offer a different kind of chicken. Asked for the manager. She offered a different chicken. She was not thrilled. Told us that there is an up charge for the chicken, but she was not going to charge us. That should have never been said. Happy Mother's day!
