Food was top class, food out quickly. Service was very good and friendly. Cocktails were amazing. Good value for money. Had 2 courses for £20 which were the perfect size and a good variety to choose from. Cocktails £6 and a fair size.

Came here with my sister's as a celebration dinner, our waiter was very funny and quick with the jokes We all had upgraded cocktails, a selection of starters (cheese doughnuts, nachos and chicken wings) and the sesame chicken strips for our mains. All the food was brought out fast, hot and very delicious. We all had a fantastic time and we will definitely be back

Love TGIs, always a great experience here. Went for a birthday meal and the ribs were delicious. The free brownie, also delicious. Cocktails? Delicious. Love TGIs.

Hadn't been for 10 years and didn't disappoint on my return. Good value midweek deal - starter and main for £19.99. we got wings to start and the portion was huge. Bottomless drinks was good and staff were friendly with service and offering to refill them when they saw our glasses empty.

Was in for lunch with my daughter and decided on a bottomless brunch. 3 large starters 2 large chips and 4 cocktails each. Was only £30 a head.....amazing. Staff are so attentive and happy... Lovely way to spend our day.

We were served by Marc, who was really friendly and very kind at all times, always attentive to customers! The food was incredible and the sauce was delicious. It's the first time I've tried this restaurant, but I'll be back!

Me and my partner visited this evening for Valentines Day and had such a lovely time. Our waiter, Josh, is an incredible member of staff to have within your team. Josh made us feel really settled as soon as we got to our table upstairs and introduced himself straight away. When coming over to take our order of food and drinks, he knelt down to our level and was very open with our questions regarding allergies and choosing a cocktail (Top recommendation for the Strawberry Mojito!) Food was delicious. We tucked into the new york strip steak and full rack of ribs, leaving empty plates as always. Thank you to Josh and the lovely people within this place, who made our Valentines and my early birthday celebrations so wonderful. Until next time! ❤️ PS. The fruit sorbet was definitely Kiwi free! 🥝

Mac and cheese ! Typed in Mac and cheese found this place it was so good and bathrooms were really cool and the staff were easy to talk to. The vibe of this TGFI was really cool moody vibe. No picture of the Mac and cheese coz I ate that real quick 🤭

We were just in for cocktails this time. But have been in for meals before. American diner. Always great.

Visited for dinner on Monday 22nd Dec with no booking. Seated in minutes and the service from the minute we walked in was amazing. I have a chilli allergy so we were attended to by both management and the lovely Ellie. Both made a long day amazing & in terms of the manager (so sorry I didn’t get your name) you didn’t make me feel like an inconvenience (I often feel I am putting staff out) What a lovely visit. Food was lovely but the staff were the stars of the evening 🌟

Great service and wonderful food. We were seated upstairs which was nice as we hadn't been up there before. Our waiter Erran was very good. Restaurant and toilets were clean.

It was amazing experience here ❤ I loved the vibes and the friendly staff in particular, Samuel. Big thank to him. We came here for second time during two weeks. Although my family don't visit same palace many times. But the truth is we fall in love with The Fridays. Miss Jody was our waitress, she so lovely and has a beautiful smile. Thank you for kindness and service ❤

First day in Scotland and we needed something quick and Friday's did not disappoint. Not only was it fast, it was delicious! The service was also excellent! Thank you to everyone involved from host to food funner, it was an awesome time.

We visited on the 11th February and David was our waiter, he was absolutely fantastic his service was above and beyond, he was patient on answering our constant questions nothing was too much. He is an asset to the team and the company.

We walked in but we had to wait for a few minutes for a table to clear even though we booked. We were a group four and for the starters we had appetiser platter for four. It was really nice but underwhelming. For the main course I had a pulled pork sandwich which again, was nice, but it was quite small for the price. But the fries were lovely. I recommend the milkshakes and the cocktails even though they are pricy. We were given popcorn at the table but it was beyond stale. Overall I would look for other places but if you want a nice American diner experience then I recommend it.

Food was great we both had burgers just can’t justify the prices £18.60 for a burger meal. It was good regardless though and nice atmosphere and the guy serving us Josh was great

After a sunny day in Glasgow, and when we'd already been out for dinner, we stopped off at TGIs for a few cocktails. It was very quiet and I think the sunny weather meant most people were in beer gardens. We picked our cocktails and I must admit they are very expensive. I've always enjoyed cocktails here but I just feel they cost far too much now. Maybe another reason for how quiet the place is. Overall it's a great place to visit but very pricey.

It had been a while since we went to TGI's and the first thing I noticed was the difference in menu offerings. The last time we went you had 3 different meal deal options at different price points but now only 2 courses for £22 which was a bit disappointing. If you opt to go for a main from the normal menu the price sky rockets unfortunately. The service was great as usual and the food was nice but I must say I miss the old Jack D sauce as that was alot tastier than the current sauce. I would maybe be tempted back if the menu was sorted out and offered a good few deal options and not one over priced option.

J
Jonathan Palo

A little too expensive for what it is, the food was still pretty good. Just wish the service was a little better. We waited a long time for drinks and the check. The server was nice though.

Looking for a fun place in the city center to enjoy time with family or friends? This is the spot if you have a reasonable budget. I can’t say enough about the great atmosphere, location, and service—everything was excellent. My only small note is that their menu didn’t have enough main seafood dishes. There were only two options for appetizers: prawns and fried calamari. Another note: a trip to the restroom involves a short walk through a basement with some amusing surprises.

I really liked the tex mex salad, it was fulfilling and a new thing added to the menu. Hot wings is one of the best thing you can find in a TGI fridays menu, i always order it. Potato skins had a little raw taste of potato skins, but the bite with beef and cheese was still nice.

Always a pretty decent experience here! We ordered mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers and both were good. However, it is quite overpriced for some basic food. Staff are always lovely and friendly and even when it’s very busy, you’re always served quickly.

N
Nicola Brown (Fallen Jewel)

Busy, always need to book, often a week to two in advance. The staff are helpful, passionate and professional. Often you are at tables that are very close to other people and music very loud so hard to hear the person across from you. Food itself is generous portions but not a lot of variety in each section. Due to cost and the quality of the cocktails aswell as generous food portions and proper quality meat, I believe TGI Fridays is suitable for a special occasion such as birthdays, work nights out or an anniversary mark. You can also get vegetarians and vegan options too now.

It had been a very long time since we had been in here last time. Popped in for lunch/dinner before dropping son off for train. Food and drinks were fine but IPA taps were not working and my bill didnt add up properly.

Very busy Saturday visit. Does annoy me that you book a table yet have to stand in same question with non bookers, meaning 20mins late getting in! Food and cocktails are good. Got a freebie with app

Finally back to this TGI FRIDAY after 30 years !!! Just like any other shops, I wouldn't expect much after all these years. Of course there's a significant price up compared to the good old days. Only 2 mocktail choices available now. Disappointed that the whole place was a bit too dark and smells like the toilet. Table wasn't cleaned and utensils not set even after food was served. Missed one of the drinks and one side dish from the order and we have to keep chasing the staff. Requested for children beef burger but chicken strips inside burger was served. Requested for a mocktail (not on the menu but a non alcoholic version of a very common cocktail) but they charged it as a full priced cocktail (£10). The coleslaw was no good. It was a slightly disappointed visit to the memory lane.

Food was expensive for what it was. Would have been sorely disappointed paying £15 for a tiny dip pulled-sandwich if didn't pay the 3.50 extra for chips. 6£ for a regular side of chips with the nachos- which were ordered as ultimate (big) nachos but received the starter size nachos. Also nachos were cold. Chips were nice. Server came back ten mins after ordered to check the order - so clearly hadn't been submitted at the time we ordered. Got the coke zero/ diet refill but it was needing syrup replaced as didn't have the usual taste. Kids meal was fine.

O
Oliver

I wasn't expecting a lot but left a little disappointed. While the service was good the food was lacking. The nachos were served cold, the chicken wings luke warm and the 'ultimate' ribs didn't have all that much meat on them. The fries on the other hand were great! The floor coming up from the bathrooms was also very sticky.

3.5/5 for this visit Took a while to serve us. I arrived first and the waiter came quickly. Friends arrived and again quite quick for our orders to be taken. It did rake quite a while for our food though, I ordered a soft drink for the food and we were half way through before they came back. It wasn't overly busy. Toilets downstairs are really good/clean however we had to use upstairs once as someone had an *accident. Upstairs was empty and its a single toilet. The flusher isn't great and when it did work the water rose really high I thought it was going to flood (it didn't). Food, despite the time, the cheesy garlic bread was burnt under and edges so I couldn't eat it but the girls had a piece each. The skins, chicken, mozarella sticks all were really nice. My pal loves the macaroni. Cocktails and mocktails were really nice so overall 3.5. Staff when they came were really nice and friendly, just long gaps after initially really good/quick service. Been before and will go back. Also they have during the week bargain cocktails £6 which is really good and I hadn't known!

It's not too bad restaurant, but had better experience with another brunches. The serving was quick. Pretty flexible, my requirements were fulfilled. Asked no source and salad. But ribs themselves were not too high quality.

I remember the halcyon days of TGI Fridays. It was special. It was busy. It was different. It was cool. Oh how the mighty have fallen!! A £7 midweek lunch menu on the website surely meant a chance for redemption? Unfortunately the mystified look of our server when asking for it says it all. False advertising or just a marketing mishap? You decide. With no lunch deals in Glasgow there was however a £13.99 two course menu. Pretty limited choices on it and the burger had a £3.50 supplement. Madness. Let it also be noted that it was it was £4 for a soft drink such as Coke or Irn Bru. I know it’s 2024 but that is scandalous. Our server was cheerful, personable and polite and the food was the same quality you’d get in any corporate monolith. It’s basic pub food but at restaurant prices. The venue still has that nostalgic feel and it’s an iconic brand but unfortunately the iconic pricing means it’ll stay firmly rooted in my past and not my future.

I've tried TGI from different parts of the world and I always loved dining in this restaurant but I wasn't a fan on this occasion when I visited Galsgow. The staff is friendly but I was a bit disappointed by the baby back ribs that I ordered since I found the meat to be really dry despite the sauce and perhaps on a teeny tiny side. Only the chocolate cake redeemed my overall rating for the place.

J
Jason Simpson

Think we may have caught them on a bad day as this wasn't the TGI's experience I know and love. Food was not to spec and lacked a bit of love and care. Steak sandwich was a bit flat with no garnish, chicken strips tasted great but again came with a bit of roughly chopped iceberg. For the price you pay you expect the WOW factor and it wasn't there, even the Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri had no fruit garnish? Small details but they do matter. Service was excellent and really friendly. I'm a massive TGI fan so hopefully this was a one off.

C

Review on behalf of a teenage child who went with friends: The food was alright but the menu didn't state that the chicken came with a sauce, and the staff didn't notice or question that most of the group didn't eat it. The bathrooms upstairs were not clean and one was covered in sick. A disappointing experience.

Food still tasty but definitely no where near as varied a selection or as good as it used to be, the service was excellent and pretty quick, albeit had to wait ten minutes to get a table, to be expected around lunchtime. The table was a little sticky and the only cutlery on table was a fork, had to ask for knives. It is going down hill compared to how it used to be. Maybe a sign of the times

We took the kids for what we hoped was going to be a nice meal. We wanted to go somewhere a bit different than just the usual holiday cafes we have been going to. As we looked at the online information and saw a great offer of kids eat free with an adult meal so we chose TGIs We Sat at the table and the waiter came over fairly quickly and took our order. We weren't asked if we have visited before as we noticed other diners were being asked this. There was no drink menu on the table. No deals were ran through or anything like that. I ordered chicken fajitas and asked for any and all sauces to be put on the side. Food came after quite a while considering when we visited it was not busy. 4 pm today - food was also staggered mostly it was luke warm at best. One portion of chips was hot and this just highlighted how cold the rest of the food was. Sizzling fajitas were covered in sour cream and not sizzling in the slightest. Dried out tiny pot of cheese. When I said I had asked for no sauces on the fajitas they did take them back and fix it. But it took a while, the rest of my family were well Into their meals by this point. John our original waiter disappeared and never came back to see if we had everything. A while after the kids got their meals and me still minus mine I asked a member of staff of wr could have ketchup, I was told I should find some down near the service point near the stairs and to go and find it. A female waitress gave us a passing everything ok.. no I am waiting for my meal the kids would like ketchup and BBQ sauce as they were halfway through their meals and no one had asked us. The fajitas were the strangest I've ever had. Nice chargrilled chicken but on top of some soggy veg with no seasoning at all so essentially chicken with unflavoured soggy vegetables. When the bill came we noticed that the kids meals weren't free. After checking the small print we seen that this was of you have a loyalty scheme. I do feel that after having a long career in hospitality that it's not really down to the customers to know your menu and deals better than the server. For me it was always about advising the customer on the best deal for them. I don't know if that would have worked I e could we have signed up today and then been offered the free kids meals. We had intended on having a couple of drinks and deserts but after the entirely underwhelming service and food issues we didn't bother and didn't fancy causing any further issues with querying the bill. There was an apology over the delay but nothing by way of any offer of a juice or something like that. For the price of the food I would expect actual basics of food service to be a given. Very disappointing experience.

TJI Glasgow when we got seated never said a word waited 25mins to get served when we got our food burger was cold wing we’re okay I suppose a bit overcooked the sauces and cheese for the fajita had an smell to them so just had the chicken which was fine when mentioned to the sever to smell he went oh never said anything and brought the bill. Not best experience.

Service was so slow, we were in here for over 2 hours because of the time it took the sever to come and take our order and clear plates (it wasn’t busy at all :/). food and dessert are a bit over priced for what they are as there’s not much to them, the food was great but the service definitely ruined our experience as servers just seemed to be ignoring tables, our food was brought out luke warm and our desserts took so long to come out, they had clearly been sitting for a bit as the ice cream was melted (again it was a very quiet evening). Definitely wouldn’t go back

Came here for dinner and some drinks. Staff was really lovely but the food definitely wasn't worth it. Burger was so overcooked I'm pretty sure the next generation of cow is also cooked. Salad tasty very shady. Cocktail was okay. However the flask cocktail didn't come in a flask. I understand that things happen but a warning would've been appreciated. Will come again for cocktails not for food

Came here for family lunch. And was disappointed. Had better from a takeaway restaurant Fries were luke warm. Garlic bread was too hard. Mac and cheese needed. Some cheese sauce. Because there wasn't any. I ask told the server if there was any sauce Because it was too dry. There was hot sauce which they charged me for.the onion rings were luke warm. And didn't taste nice. 4 of us agreed. We only spent £100 but was so disappointed we wouldn't return. Fries with bacon & maple syrup were not good Server was 5 star. Food took far too long to arrive. And server agreed they were not too busy. So why was food not upto standard. Server said I let chef no. No good to me Food was terrible TGI please read other reviews and make changes to the food.

Visited TGI Fridays Buchanan Street on 14th February. afternoon time around 1.30PM. once seated. it took a while for the waiter ( Ewan F ) to approach me and ask if I wanted to order a drink. I ordered Fridays sesame chicken strips. with sesame seeds but without the chilli flakes. I was told by Ewan this was impossible as the sesame seeds and chilli flakes are already mixed together. this information took me by surprise as this is the only meal I order at Fridays. it’s never been a problem previously at other locations and wasn’t a problem at my visit to TGI Fridays Liverpool One on 18/02 which will be my next review. as usual I asked for the fries to be replaced with onion rings. the menu states served with a choice of side. the menu doesn’t state additional charges may apply depending on choice of side. Ewan did not mention the upgrade charge for the onion rings. bear in mind this meal has now increased to £20.60. and choice of side that’s not fries will set you back £2.90. the meal was brought by a different member of staff. the meal came with fries and onion rings. I was confused and didn’t want to touch the onion rings without finding out if the fries had be replaced. because if Ewan had misunderstood me - the onion rings would cost £6.20. I asked for a manager as I was unable to see Ewan. the manager appeared and explained I would be charged for upgrading the fries to onion rings. when placing the order Ewan did not mention the upgrade charge. the manager was unable to remove the charge. while the manager was discussing the T&CS with me the meal went cold and needed to be remade. Ewan did not ask me once if everything was fine with the food or if I wanted another glass of tap water. the found the chicken strips to be slightly overcooked. I used £5.00 off for February with TGI rewards which reduced the bill to £18.50. still expensive for the hassle and lack of customer service. my visit to TGI Fridays Buchanan Street was like a Carry on film. I do not recommend TGI Fridays Buchanan Street and I will not return when next visiting Glasgow. follow me on TripAdvisor for more reviews @Tyrone-is-reviewingU

I have no clue how a plate of nachos can take 25 minutes to plant itself on our table, we asked the waiter why are the nachos taking so long when we ordered ribs and steak as well, he explained to us the maticulous details of what it needs to be for nachos to journey through in order for them to be delivered alongside ribs at the same time.... They're nachos, not a plate on Cail Bruich. what about nachos that need to take this long in order to take the same bus as the ribs otherwise they would be absolutely r u i n e d. Deliver the "starters" first, "start" with them then proceed to sail along to the main course, what are we supposed to do in 25 minutes in a restaurant, talk about the efficacy of the Spanish Inquisition from an economical standpoint? We were so disappointed. The place felt super cramped up and it's quite disappointing that the seating situation needed clearance from the highest authorities just to ask for permission to move to another table that's not using the wooden chairs that scream "eat and leave" When we asked if it's okay to move to another table, the way the waiter said "NO" without explaining further made us feel like we were asking to move to Arthur's Round Table to further discuss the standings of equity in the 5th century felt forced. Brother, it's okay to be practiced in saying "sorry, it's because of A B or all the way to Z" it's absolutely beyond the realms of possible dimensions to be moved to an alternate table instead of saying "NO" as if we asked for the most impossible of tasks would have been a little bit above the 2 inches of decency. The visual spectacles of raising your voice to act "engaged" was not appreciated. Your body motions to seem "invested" was forced. We did not know if we should order from you or humor you. The waiter we had was the (please note I've spent 40 years on this rock) most visceral and all-over-the-place waiter we have ever seen. When I'm at a restaurant, I want my waiter to be nice, take our orders, maybe make a comment or two and tend to our food, I really do not need an entire 3 minutes conversation about anything. Again, I know this restaurant might be busy, but when you're on the busiest street in Glasgow, sometimes it's best to look for better tables-management than tables set so close together you can hear the customers 3-tables-down whisper about why Electricity should be a human rights issue. The ribs we ordered were lukewarm and the steak was not worth its price, mash potatoes were sprinkled with mustard seeds, please, in the future, PLEASE warn customers about this, mash potatoes is the most basic food item that is impossible to ruin, this was our biggest surprise to be honest. You can do better. Even for an international franchise. It could even be an email instead of a 3-seconds-meeting of why the customer "might" be right for this time, just this time the customer may be trying to tell us something about s t a n d a r d s, minimum-expectation, and appreciation.

Food is decent however the service is atrocious. Last 3 times I’ve been ther, it’s been about half occupancy yet they seat us in the worst seats possible, right on top of other diners and refused to let us move. Ended up walking out on the last trip as even after being seated 20 minutes went by without service so gave up.

Just been to TGi’s and ordered the rump steak with chips and peppercorn sauce. The steak and chips were lukewarm warm on arrival, the corn cob was cold and the peppercorn sauce had a skin on it and was cold. I really don’t like complaining but felt I had to. The manager came over apologised and said he’d get the chef to put the steak back on the grill again and renew the rest, sadly when the meal returned the corn cob was hot but the rest of the meal was still lukewarm but the peppercorn sauce was stone cold but with no skin on so I just couldn’t eat it. My partner ate on her own whilst I waited but her burger meal was hot and she enjoyed it but really guys if you can’t get it right the second time there’s no hope. I asked for the bill and the full amount was presented to me so when I said I wasn’t paying for my steak meal which I didn’t eat they came back with a bill for my partner’s food which I paid. I did ask the see the manager after paying but my partner said it was too late because I’d already paid and they wouldn’t be bothered and to be honest she was right. I won’t be visiting a TGI in the near future as it’s really put me off.

Sesame chicken was way too sweet, like it was made in melted sugar. Not eatable. Way too expensive for lunch. We had two menu offers and ended up paying over £80 with automatically added 10% tip.

When asked what drinks we wanted they didn't have coffee. My wife then chose soda water and lime when it came there was no lime which was clearly our fault with the waitresses attitude when asked if she could get lime. She then proceeded to serve 3 other tables before my wife had to go to her and ask for her lime. Then once we waited an age the waitress eventually took out order only to be told they also didn't have Mac cheese again a restaurant that can't make up a basic Mac cheese. By this point the waitress seemed to getting annoyed we kept wanting things they had run out of. Only once the waitress overheard my daughter who is a chef wanted her name to complain she changed her attitude and started to be more professional and served her customers how she should. £120 for a lunch and to be treated like that we will not be back to tgi Fridays appalling service

Food was certainly not cooked fresh. Food had been reheated and was of very poor quality. Upstairs dining area was grubby, untidy and cold, should have walked out when we seen the area but had just got soaked and decided to stay put. Big mistake, Would never go back.

Well our first visit in many years and we won't be back! Firstly we were seated in a very dark corner, ordered food took 25 mins to arrive, place was not that busy I ordered the chicken fajitas, when they arrived there was 8 small slices on the hot plate with a few onions and peppers, 4 mini wraps and a few dips, (for 21.99!) first 2 wraps with the 4 small slices of chicken where fine the other 4 slices of chicken where inedible like rubber! Had to put my torch on phone to check what the issue was just incase it hadnt been cooked properly, I eventually found the waitress to make a complaint, she took the order away and another girl appeared maybe some sort of supervisor and decided to argue with me over the complaint, apparently it was a breast of chicken must have been a chicken same size as a pigeon!, she asked why I never made the complaint before finishing and I said well it was the last 4 slices first 4 where fine, she also stated we were asked if food was fine when we were given the meals well obviously we had barely started eaten by then, she eventually agreed to take 10% off bill then comes the receipt the item my son had originally ordered some sort of melt sandwich at 14.99 was now saying it was something else on receipt and charged £26! The disappearing waitress obviously wrote down the wrong item, and my son never thought when the item arrived it was the wrong item! Just disgusted by it all, also impossible to get the free refills or forks as the waitress had dissappeared, been better off going going to a wetherspoons! Expensive mistake lesson learned!

HORRIBLE customer service. Was seated in clear view of bar and wait staff. 4 Servers walked by at different times and did not offer any assistance. They did however stop at table next to me and wait on them. And another table behind me. Those customers were Caucasian. Will leave it at that.
