Very friendly staff, Atmosphere is lovely, The food is really good, Hot and fresh, Been twice now and would go again and definitely recommend.. Went again tonight 28/10/22 menu has changed but still lovely options, food still lovely and hot, Staff friendly atmosphere still nice, cocktails were nice. Will go again such a lovely place.. Went back 17/12/22 for lunch they were good with giving a table out of the way as I suffer anxiety. the service was ok we had a starter but they forgot us, then we had to wait ages for our main meal when it came my partners burger was fine but my chicken burger was cold and burnt ate it as was so hungry, when said to waitress she said another table had complained about same thing. they took meals off bill which was ok but they tried to charge a service charge still for £7.13 which has gone up. Wasn't impressed at all this time but the festive cocktail was nice. We will try again soon. Went in again 17/03/2024. Pleased Fish pie is back on. Myself and my partner both said meals were really good and hot. Will say £3.20 for can of coke bit much but rest of meal was lovely. Staff friendly and welcoming. Will go again.
Lovely food. Attentive service. We pre booked a table and when we arrived chose where to sit. Very attentive and polite service; no rushing or 'pushing'. Excellent recommendations from the waitress. Tea was hot and the pot went to three cups. The pancakes were soft, hot and presented beautifully. Beware: the pancakes are large. (Next time I'll only got for a 3 stack.) Lovely waitress brought extra maple syrup too. The interior retains the commercial feel of the of the old working building yet is still cosy and intimate. Very clean tables and nice decor. Prices weren't too bad either especially given the high quality of the food and service. I really couldn't fault anything and will definitely be back.
Had some work done by Forge motrosport so popped into town and found Bill's. Looked nice outside so popped in for breakfast. Really friendly staff member, quick service, quick food too and very good breakfast! Quality food, greay hot chocolate and clean toilets. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about it.
We visited Bills Burgers in Gloucester and it was honestly amazing. The burgers were delicious, and the whole place just had a really welcoming vibe. The staff were great too, really friendly and happy to help, which made the experience even better. I also ordered a mocha, and it was so nicely presented that I had to stop and appreciate it before drinking it. Little touches like that really make a difference. Altogether, it was a lovely visit with great food, great people, and a really relaxed atmosphere. I’d definitely go back!
We just visited here for bottomless pancakes and we’re very very pleased. The portion sizes are brilliant and the way they were plated was immaculate. We were lucky enough to have a wonderful waitress (Chloe) who also provided speedy and efficient service, Chloe was friendly and bubbly and made us feel very welcomed.
The food is great, but when there’s promotions going, the price makes the food even better. People working here are very lovely and accommodating, there is usually some space even if you haven’t booked (tho I would recommend booking) and the food comes out in good time (not too fast that it makes you question the freshness but not too slow that makes you want to go to the kitchen and do it yourself, just right). I will carry on going for as long as they stay in Gloucester.
Hope is 10/10, cannot fault her service or attitude. She has helped us the last two times we have been, and couldn’t have been more helpful. The food is great, the children’s meals are fabulous and such great value. The steak and eggs are 🔥. So happy to have found a new brunch spot.
First time in here. Had a quick drink and a snack. Very quick service. Lovely food. Both people who came to speak to us were really friendly. 100% on customer service. Will be visiting again soon
Lovely lunch. Booked in advance due to time of year. Very chilled feel to the place. Staff was excellent, friendly and courteous. I had the ribs which were divine, my daughter had the brisket & horseradish mac n cheese which she loved. Great desserts, great coffee.
Came into Bill's with my son before doing some Christmas shopping. We had a great experience and enjoyed our food and drinks, which arrived quickly and were hot and delicious. Your staff were really friendly and attentive. They seemed to genuinely care everyone had a good time despite being busy. Chloe was especially kind to my son and is a credit to you
The food is consistently great, the service is fast, and the staff truly stand out. Especially Chloe and keneisha. They’re friendly, welcoming, and make you feel like a regular by remembering you and your favorite drinks. Highly recommend!
Great place for a bite to eat..Upon entering we were informed wait time for food would be 20 mins due to busy period however we didn't wait that long. Georgia who served us was a gem..She was so smiley and a pleasure to talk to...We even got a complimentary drink at the end! Truly a great experience!
Adore this place. Such chill vibes as soon as you walk in. Polite staff are aplenty and ready to help. Food arrives in a decent time, be mindful that they are cashless. My son had the mighty brunch which he thoroughly enjoyed, along with a hot chocolate and I went for the set menu for a very good price of £21.50. I also enjoyed an elderflower lemonade with my delicious food. Excellent lunch and service, highly recommend.
Great food friendly staff good value. Selection of drinks is great and the flower pot desert is a work of art.
Every bit as nice as the other branches of Bill’s in which I’ve eaten. Some clever or fortuitous design means that the noise level is retained at a manageable level, despite this being a busy Saturday lunchtime. Visually appealing and well balanced flavours in all the dishes that we were served. Positive attitude towards young people from very nice staff members.
Amazing service this evening, beautiful food too. Such a lovely place to eat with family or friends, we will come back!!!!
We had a really good family breakfast. I had beautifully cooked poached eggs in my eggs royale and my son enjoyed his berry buttermilk pancakes. My hubby enjoyed his super smoothie too and the freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious.
Fantastic gluten-free options with its own separate menu. Very much enjoyed the big brunch
Excellent experience, the sea bass and fish pie were very good, as was the chicken scewers, and fried chicken, chocolate brownie and caramel tart amazing. Great staff and very dog friendly. Highly recommended.
Love Bill's, we had breakfast and dinner here, highly recommend!
First time going to this place Absolutely amazing food friendly staff and the the quality of food you get for the price is amazing and full of flavour I had the chicken burger and bills flower pot for desert! Would highlyl recommend and go again. The staff were supportive and apologetic when an order got mixed up but they were very quick to sort and nothing was a bother. Had starter, main, desert and coffee
Shame no enough stars to add more . Wandeful food cooked, we had tow breakfast. I guess the manager and the staff so friendly and welcoming. I cannot thank you enough for your welcoming this morning.
A delightful experience! Didn't book and popped in for a late Sunday lunch. All the staff were incredibly friendly accommodating throughout. All the food was vibrant, tantalising and so delicious (especially the doughnuts) - shout out to the chefs! The service was impeccable - Lily our server was an utter delight and even allowed me a taster of the 'golden latte' at the end of the meal as I wasn't sure if I would like it or not. Needless to say that was also a very palatable! Will definitely be back when in Gloucester.
Always love coming to Bills Gloucester This time around the wait time after placing order was quite a bit, but Chloe was super attentive and keeping us updated with the status, which made us less impatient Food was as always amazing, but the service this time around by Chloe was definitely noteworthy :)
We had a lovely Girly catch up Brunch today! We enjoyed our yummy choices, the Pancakes with Bananas, Biscoff crumb & Maple Syrup, could maybe had a bit more Banana, was the only suggestion put forward!! The young lady Chloe who was having a morning's trial, did well as did her Mentor Alice, who let us sit, gossiping, as we do, for quite sometime. Thank you
Came here with my mum last night, we were served by Denise who gave us great service and was super kind. The food was lovely and came out fairly quickly. I’ve been to a few different Bill’s before but this one is definitely the best! Would definitely come back here for food and drinks again!
Food was really lovely, I had the Green Goddess Salad from the Sunny Specials menu and it was huge, and delicious. The children ordered cheeseburger and chips from the Kids menu, but these were also decently portion sizes. The staff here are LOVELY. Thank you for being so kind today.
Hope our waitress was amazing! Both gluten free she explained the menus and made us feel really welcome, she is a positive, professional waitress and we will be back !
Bill’s Gloucester Quays Restaurant is a lovely place with a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The food is tasty and well presented, the menu has plenty of choice, and the staff are friendly and attentive. A great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner while visiting the Quays. Always a pleasant experience.
Food was great. Wasn't overly busy. Food arrived way before our hot drinks came. Seemed to be an error but was rectified satisfactory and definitely will come back here. Wasn't overly busy but was picking up. Clearly a well known breakfast spot for the first meal of the day.
We had a lovely work Christmas meal and drinks. Hope was friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, especially with our group being a bit on the loud side! We really appreciated her great service
Had a really lovely brunch with my partner the place had a busy atmosphere but nice feeling! The food was really tasty! 🤤 Especially with extra pancakes 🥞
Had lovely breakfast this morning at Bills!! Denise was so lovely! However we had to tap out because the pancakes were so filling🤣🤣
Overall, a really good experience here. The atmosphere is lively and comfortable, making it a nice spot to relax after walking around the Quays. Parking is available closeby which is convenient, although it’s not free, so that’s something to keep in mind. The pancakes were honestly the best I’ve had in my life — perfectly fluffy, full of flavour, and worth going back for alone. Prices across the menu feel fair for the quality and portion sizes. That said, my salmon tasted a bit too raw for my liking. It may have been intentional, but it wasn’t quite to my preference. Also, wait times can be quite long during certain hours, especially when it’s busy.
We had a party of 9 so they asked us to preorder our choices and any sides we wanted. The staff kept an eye on us as people drifted in at different times to take drink orders. Once everyone was there the starter's came out, I had the prawn cocktail which tasted nice just a bit limited in prawns just two, but they were king prawn. The mains came out, like the starter's they knew who had ordered what, which was just as well, as most of us had forgotten. We had to then remind them about the sides, by the time they came out most people had finished their mains, when this was pointed out to them, they were very kind and took them off the bill. The puddings were very nice, not too heavy just as you want after a big meal. Everyone enjoyed what they had, vegetarian to a nice steak, while it was good the price at £32.95 per head is a bit steep. Would I go back yes, it was that good.
My companion said that the Burger was tasty. I had the eggs royale which was well cooked. Banoffee desert was nice although accompanied by a wait. The ice cream and sorbet was enjoyed. I had the doughnuts which were warm and fresh and great dipped in the sauces although the chocolate sauce was a little thin. Not impressed by the automatic addition of 12% service charge as we prefer to choose amount to add.
We came here to eat with our extended family on a Thursday. The place was quite busy and unfortunately, we ended up having to wait for our food for a very long time (about an hour). The staff were friendly and attentive, but the service wasn’t good. After the long wait, some of our side dishes were missing when we finally got served. Also our calamari starter didn’t arrive and we were told we already had it. Well, we didn’t have it, didn’t eat anything for the first hour. By the time we got served, the restaurant was almost empty, with just us in it and a couple of other guests. Anyway, the waiter apologised and served us everything in the end. He was very patient and nice and so were we. Fortunately, the food was good, everyone finished their meal and enjoyed it. The calamari was tasty.
1st thing is the disablity loo is up a Step ! Not great for our wheel chair user with us ,we ended up going to the loo in the shopping center instead . Disapointed with my desert compaired with my fellow guests ,that was the only thing that let the whole new experience down . My starter and main were good size portions and great home made quality taste. My desert was a shop brought single mince pie with small amount of clotted cream . Compaired to sticky toffee pudding and choclate brownie it was small . Other than those things , it was a great night 1st time in Bills ever, and to Glouchester Docks .
This was a very relaxing restaurant to eat in, with an excellent atmosphere. The waitress, Donna, was extremely efficient and had a brilliant sense of humour. Us Northerners love a bit of banter. I'm gluten free, but that wasn't an issue. I was given my own menu, which made ordering easy. The house burger was delicious, and I soon polished it off. For dessert, I had the banoffee sundae. Shortbread base, white chocolate mousse, cream and ice cream. I couldn't fault the meal. We had a leisurely meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant - and Donna. Many thanks.
We came here for dinner and it was a very enjoyable experience. We had to go elsewhere for a early dinner drink as no available seats inside and our reserved table still had people finishing their meals! However, the staff were friendly, welcoming and asked us to come back nearer the time of our booking. It's decorated very well and a vibrant modern atmosphere inside. To start, we shared the Halloumi Fries with lime aioli and these were utterly delicious. Then, my other half had the "Pan Fried Sea Bass" and I had the "Bill's Classic Burger" with chips. Both were delicious although the Sea Bass could have been accompanied with some vegetables etc...only saw that you could have had this but as extras! Our drinks were good but having to have a Peroni lager on tap wasn't my ideal being a true ale drinker... The pudding was shared as we were both rather full by then and we were told to go for the "Warm Triple Chocolate Brownie" as the one we wanted initially was sold out! Good choice as it was very delicious. Finished our pleasant meal and evening with some great coffee and a Jameson's Irish whisky. A special thanks to Rudy for being extremely attentive and friendly! Well done and thanks to the rest of the other staff too.. ps. Bill's Restaurants Ltd do add an "automatic 12.5% Service surcharge" onto your bill which I would have preferred to having this at the clients own discretion and the level of service experienced!!
Usually enjoy Bill's but this one fell short on a number of areas. The food was ok but didn't have the same 'freshness' it usually has - although it does look good in the photo. Also, the venue seemed like it needed a refresh - there was a stale smell where we were sat and it just felt dark and dingy - lacking atmosphere (other parts of the restaurant seemed brighter more like the Bill's you'd expect).
Today I came at lunch time with my friend , And as I didn’t fancy a main meal I order two starters. Well, I have had the smallest portions ever I seen in a restaurant.. Six small calamari with a lots of slice chili, Made me coughing so much too much garnish!! for me it was a kids starter portion. So disappointing. The service ok at least.
Had a cheeseburger and a sirloin stake. Ordered garlic bread starter to come with the mains but came before as a starter. The garlic bread was very nice. The cheeseburger average a little dry for my liking. The stake was the same. A little overpriced for the quality for the meat. The bill does include a service charge.
Went to Bills for lunch with my wife, son and in-laws having not been to a Bills for probably 10-15 years (previous visit was Cambridge), the food and service was mediocre at best, really disappointed compared to what I remember. Don’t know what the quality equivalent is to shrink-flation but it’s that! Nothing special and £140 for one course each and 1.5 rounds of drinks is overpriced for the latest standards.
Me and my partner got a walk in table for two as the restaurant was not very busy, we were sat for about 25 minutes before a staff member came and asked to take our order - we watched two different tables around us be served first, despite the fact they were seated after us. The waitress was incredibly apologetic when we were eventually served which was appreciated until both our orders arrived incorrect - two big breakfasts with scrambled eggs yet both arrived with fried and my partners meal was missing mushrooms as stated on the menu. I did let the staff know I requested scrambled eggs so they removed the fried off my plate by having me scrape it onto a napkin and about five minutes later gave me a bowl of scrambled eggs, which I will say were very nice. We have eaten at bills around the countries before and it’s always been a really good experience all around so the service and food levels were quite disappointing, especially considering when we went to pay the bill online there was a service charge added that couldn’t be removed meaning we waited another ten minutes for a physical bill.
The staff who were working yesterday 29.12.25 from 5pm were extremely hostile and damn right rude!! I've NEVER felt so uncomfortable in a place in all my life. The dirty looks, the turn up of noses when THEY got the order wrong and gave a child peas instead of beans, the snarl when we didn't pay for their 12.5% tip which absolutely wasn't deserved, genuinely shocking! The food on the other hand was lovely but cold. Ran out of a lot of things including drinks, menu items etc..Definitely won't be returning after my visit.
