The food is tasty and the portion is big. We chose to sit outside in the patio looking at the beach side. It was a beautiful day. There is a kid menu with good dishes to choose from. Suitable for family with children.

I’ve visited this place around four times and have always loved it. My most recent visit was two weeks ago. Despite arriving on a Thursday and seeing a line, my friend and I only waited about five minutes. I ordered oysters, which were big and juicy—six were more than enough! My friend had the clam chowder in a bread bowl and loved it. For the second round, I had the crab salad, and my friend had calamari—both were delicious. The service was excellent as always. This place never disappoints!

We went here for a family brunch and got - fish and chips 5/5 - monster burger, it was huge!! 5/5 - truffle fries were amazing - garden salad and cheesy bread The food was delicious and very filling due to large portions. Almost none of us could finish what we ordered and had lots of leftovers. Lovely outdoor seating in the sun, our dog enjoyed himself too!

Went there for the first time and everything was beyond our expectations. Amazing view, waiters are very friendly, service is quick. Price is very reasonable and portions are generous. We ordered cerveche, nachos, steamed clams and seafood sampler. Went to many seafood restaurants for steamed clams and this is by far the best and freshest clams that I’ve ever had. Each one is plump and juicy.

Came here on a wet New Year’s Eve after getting fresh crab off the boats dock nearby. Staff was very helpful and nice. Our waiter was very friendly. The atmosphere was cozy as we sat inside looking out at the wind, rain and bay. The food options were plenty and we enjoyed a fried sampler dish, and a Portuguese Seafood soup. Food came within a reasonable time and tasted delicious! We left very warm, comfortable and happy. They also had a nice list of beverages for those who like beers and the like.

Now is the perfect time to visit, with pumpkins seasons and the weather being just right. There were a lot of people on the weekend, but the wait was only 10 minutes. Sitting at the outdoor tables, many people brought their dogs, and there were 11 ！ I ordered claims chowder, prawn salad, fish taco, and fried calamari ( a little bit too dry ) Every dish was good. The service was very diligent and they refilled the drink all the time. Parking easy !

Pretty solid brewpub. I think the food is better than the beers. The quality and freshness of the seafood is there and I never had a bad dish. I think they make the best clam chowder in HMB. I get it every time I come here and I've tried all of the chowders in the area. The beers are decent at best, never had any standouts but all very drinkable. Service varies. Big restaurant with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. It's a popular spot so you may have to wait during peak times. Parking is free and not too difficult in the large shared parking lot around the restaurant.

This is one of the few spots available in Half moon bay for decent drinks and food overlooking the ocean. Hence, went here. There was a wait time for about half hour on a Saturday afternoon. Mushroom soup was soup of the day. Truffle fries were good and mango cider was good too. Fish tacos were decent.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere. It was a cloudy, misting evening. The fires glow, and all the lights make it feel so cozy and inviting. We really enjoyed the food and the service. I had a glass of wine, and my hubby enjoyed some of the beer. The view was amazing, and we were able to watch the sun set. All in all it was good food, good service and a very beautiful view. Makes for nice romantic outing nestled along the coastline.

Overall very good quality of food. + Strongly recommend the truffle oil fries. The truffle flavor was delightful and very crispy fries. + Highly recommend the beer clam. In general all the seafood dishes were super fresh and high quality. + Fast serving. We’ve only waited for about 10min for our food after being seated even on a very busy weekend.

The hubby and I had a great lunch here a couple of years ago! We came back for an early dinner this time. They have two fairly big spaces (patio & additional outdoor space) to accommodate outdoor dining. Our server Gaby was very helpful and provided excellent service during our dinner. We ordered the same thing as last time which was a green salad with house ranch dressing and a clam chowder bread bowl. The salad was fresh and the chowder was delicious. We also had the Crispy Seafood Sampler which had fried calamari, beer battered cod and prawns with fries. It was lightly breaded and sooo tasty. The cod and prawns were meaty and cooked perfectly. The calamari was great and who doesn't love french fries?! Hubby enjoyed a Kolsch beer last time but opted for water this time 😁 We are definitely coming back!

This was my first time coming to this establish with my wife, We started it off with an appetizer of pretzel bread w/ brew cheese & some drinks. The brew cheese kinda tasted like the canned nacho cheese with a couple added ingredients. It was alright but I expected the brew cheese viscosity too be thinner. For the main course I ordered the dungunous crab roll while the presentation was fairly nice. This was hard for me too reinforce the price that went along with it at a premium of $32.00 and some change. I personally think the crab was really fresh BUT put together in this sandwich it was just-not-it. * (This is a 100% a honest review from a customer perspective) * The Aoli sauce they use on the crab sandwich was just too mayonnaise based. I felt as if I bit into a mayonnaise sandwich when I bit into this. The sauce didn't really compliment the crab sandwich how I'd expect it too and it actually overpowered the subtle crab taste. Although the crab meat was fresh it didn't have much flavor in my opinion. I also noticed when I would bite into this crab sandwich The crab meat was very watery. The sauce needed more spice with a brouder flavor pallet that compliments each ingredient. The bread was pretty fresh and had a light airy crispy texture on the sandwich but it could of been better! The bread was too thin in my opinion too handle the weight of the wet crab meat and sauce. Within a few minutes the sandwich was falling apart due to the bread becoming a soggy mess! So I had to eat this sandwich fast! The fries were actually delicious and crispy but I didn't come here to eat fries. In conclusion this place was good but it could of been better. I give this place a solid 6.2/10 The service was pretty good with getting seated quickly . Other than that, the food was just not hitting for me at this price too. 👎🏽

This place has absolutely DELICIOUS beer and super friendly service. Me and my husband love coming here when visiting Half Moon Bay. I wish that I could give them five stars. However, the last two times we have been there and I have gotten food poisoning. Yesterday after eating there I was the only one of our party of four that ordered fish and now I am having it come out of both ends. (Trying not to be graphic, but just being honest.) My husband who orders a burger every time we come has never gotten food poisoning. So, in summary, if visiting this place get ready for amazing beer and friendly service, but maybe stick with a burger and stay away from the fish.......

I’ve been to Half Moon Bay Brewing Company many many times. I’m disappointed I have to leave this review but I have gotten food poisoning twice now from their oysters. I’ve tried many of their other dishes and appetizers and the rest of their food is fine. However, their oysters are not fresh and WILL give you food poisoning. Other reviewers have mentioned that too. The first time I got food poisoning I thought it was a fluke and was willing to give it another shot. That was in March of 2025. January 2026 I tried their oysters again and came down with food poisoning. Twice means it’s not a coincidence. It really is a shame because the rest of their food is good and I love the ambiance of this restaurant. I love that it is dog friendly. But now I am hesitant to come back.
