I love the food. Staff is very friendly and fast. Very efficient was satisfying their customers and making sure all needs are met. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Chinese food or Japanese food, or sushi for that matter! And this guy in the photo is a great example of hospitality and customer service
Toshiko Japanese is my go-to spot for authentic and delicious Japanese cuisine. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, and the service is top-notch. Special shoutout to Jessica - she's a pro at remembering special requests like my iceless water and no lemon. Keep it up, Jessica! You're a legend.
I'm not a big fan of seafood, but it was the one of the best experiences I had. Their teriyaki sauce for the beef or chicken was better than I've ever had before (and I eat a lot of teriyaki) their chicken was fresh grilled and the beef was so tender and juicy. But the best thing was their 'I ❤ Tuna' roll. The tuna melted in your mouth and the seared ends added a nice crispy smoke flavor. I was in heaven. Definitely eating here again.
I love this place. The rolls are great and prices are good as well. Its the only place in Hanford I'll get sushi at. Friendly staff too, highly recommended to anyone wanting to satisfy a sushi craving. (P.s. the photo is of 2 rolls after we had eaten some, it looked much much better before lol)
Great sushi bar, you get what you pay for. Best cucumber salad in town hands down! I'll be back for the ramen ✌ The servers were kind and answered the questions I had regarding some sauces. The chefs were fast and formal when delivering our sushi roll. Cucumber salad $3 Pot stickers $7 Sushi roll $14
We really enjoyed the staff and what we ordered was the California roll, salad and shrimp udon bowl...it was all good but it was the staff that was over the top..
The food was really good! I will definitely be back.
My husband and I love coming here, Excellent customer service, great food and atmosphere every time we go! We always sit at the sushi bar because my husband loves to conversate with the sushi chefs and I like to watch them make the rolls. The fried calamari, vegetable and shrimp tempura, I 🖤 tuna roll, nitro roll and the G-Money roll are to die for! So refreshing and delicious. Also love the smoked salmon nigiri and their pistachio fried ice cream. Their pistachio beer is good too.
This place is very unassuming in by the shopping centers but boy do they have amazing food! Their Tonkatsu Ramen broth is so flavorful and the addition of the chili paste added just the right amount of heat for my liking. Everything on its own was really good and the ingredients balanced well with each other. Waitresses are very friendly and attentive as well as the chefs behind the sushi bar were very warm and friendly. Will definitely come back again when I'm in town. My bill with a good tip was only $25 which is not bad at all.
I'm so glad Hanford has Toshiko's! The rolls here have never left me disappointed. Presentation is always nice, and the fish is of much higher quality than our other two options in town. We come here every time we want great sushi without having to go out of town.
My food was delicious. Like really good. I got the chicken teriyaki bowl a la carte, the meat was so tender and cooked perfectly with teriyaki sauce. It was served on top of a good portion of white sticky rice. Then I got a shrimp tempura roll $12 and a good portion. I couldn’t finish all of it but have a nice portion left for lunch tomorrow. They were pretty busy and I waited 15min from when I ordered my take out. Pleasant staff and easy to find with a lot of parking spots too. I def dropped a pin on this place. I will be back.
Love it all!!! Look at this Specialty Roll 🔥🔥🔥
This place is absolutely delicious! I totally recommend this place. Customer service is awesome and very helpful. I wasn't to sure what anything was so they were helpful enough to answer all my questions.

The steamed dumplings with the spicy sauce are amazing!!!! I also love their house made kimchi. I usually don’t like kimchi but theirs is amazing. Sushi is also very high quality. Fried rice also has great flavor. Service is always great.
This was the first time ever being to a restaurant like this. It was so unique and different. You have your own little Grill at your table and all the meat is cooked to your own perfection and served hot off the grill to your plate! Unique experience for a date night! Would definitely recommend and come back again!

Stop and had some sushi, steak and sake. Really enjoyed the food and service. Next time I’m in town I will be stopping here.

Was good Kind of a limited menu in my opinion. But food was very good service was great as well if I'm in the downtown area again I would go back
Nice restaurant with plenty of parking. Pick your table carefully as at some tables you wont have no privacy The chicken teriyaki was delicious! The beef was a bit disappointing .. Sushi was pretty good too, although the wasabi and ginger came only after asking for it Fair prices, I can’t wait to come back here
The Ramen noodles were good, nothing too special tho. The broth was a good portion but it’s very salty and lacked the creamy texture that makes ramen noodles delicious. The noodles are thick and it was not very filling. I will come back to try their sushi, it might be better. The staff was friendly and attentive, the facilities are clean and the place was pleasant to eat at. Not a bad spot. I would encourage everyone that likes ramen to come try it for yourself.
The resturant was not packed at all but it took quite some time for the food to be ready. The roll was just okay and the rice was really good. Not sure if I would come back.
The sides were good, I thought the rice was over cooked and a salmon tasted as if it was the fatty cut. Portions were big bites and would take 2 bites for each piece. There is no eel on the menu. Their nitro sauce does pack a small bite, which helped with the getting the large bites down. The place was clean and maintained very well. The best experience were the sides in my opinion.

Not happy. Waited over an hr for our rolls. We ordered 3 rolls & an appetizer & 3 sodas. We requested to have our food togo. The waitress was apologetic & the front receptionist was pleasant. Arriving at home 7 minutes away. Sushi was warm & other than fresh tasting. However the Garlic Edamame we had was good.We ate maybe 3 peices from each roll and tossed the rest. Not acceptable. I tipped 15% brought my total to 96$ - won't be returning.
This spot is in a shopping center, so you know what that means? There will be parking, yes! The restaurant is not big, not small, very simple, not much decor. The biggest party that can sit together is about 9. We made a reservation for 11 people. So we were seated right away. In this Japanese restaurant you can order hot food, food you can cook yourself on the grill, and of course sushi rolls. We ordered several things on the menu. Gyoza, edamame, calamari, and shrimp tempura. A couple of sushi’s and a platter of sashimi. To cook, we ordered chicken, shrimp, steak, pork belly, scallops, and vegetables. Right away we were disappointed our server came back twice to tell us they were out of calamari and shrimp for the grill. Then she came back and said they were out of pork belly. Two minutes later came back and said they did have the pork belly. It was barely 2pm and they were already out of items, that is disappointing. The food tasted ok. I did really enjoy the steak. My salmon sushi was mediocre, the rice was overcooked. Also, it was weird individual plates weren’t automatically given to us. When I asked the lady she replied with “I can bring some” well how were we going to eat the food? Off the grill? We spent a good amount of money here and the service was mediocre. They can do better.

I tried one of their rice bowls and replaced the white rice with fried rice. Not only did we wait almost an hour for our food, but they literally took white rice and poured soy sauce on top. That's it, no onions, garlic, egg, veggies or garnish just straight up white rice with soysauce on top like I literally could've just gotten the white rice and poured the soy sauce myself. We still got charged extra for it too. Won't be coming back to this place.
I spent a total of maybe 5 minutes in this restaurant, all I did was look at the menu and then walked right out due to the ludicrously high prices for just one sushi roll. I’m sure the food tastes just fine, but for a decent chunk out of your weekly pay just didn’t seem worth it to me. The hostess on the other hand was amazing and super nice and very helpful, nothing terrible to say there. I would highly not recommend this restaurant SOLELY because of the pricing on this menu. Which might explain why there was about 3-4 people in there in the middle of the day on a Saturday.
Waited 45 minutes for an order that was made incorrect, when I asked for a refund they weren't able to proces because the owner wasn't in the restaurant, I was asked if they could correct the order they said it'll be five minutes? Then why did I wait 45? Also how can you bake one of the rolls in 5 minutes?
The ramen was so salty, I even ordered additional broth🤦♂️. Too expensive for the taste and food quality. Not worth it.
I really hate to write a poor review, as the food is really good- in my opinion, the best in town. I go here at least once a month. The service, too, is usually also good. However, on my most recent visit( celebrating my friend’s birthday), things did not go as smoothly. It took a while ( at least 10 minutes) to even be seated- though, this in itself is not a big deal. When we were seated, we were seated in the back of the restaurant largely out of sight, which proved to be a problem later. Our server came by and took our drink order and appetizer order. When the appetizer came, we placed our main order for two regular, uncooked rolls. Nothing complicated. We waited 30 minutes for our order. We watched another table be seated. Another 15 minutes. The table who was seated after us got their food. Our server still hadn’t checked on us once. I could see her at the back of the restaurant on her phone. No big deal, I get up and ask how our food is coming, she says “ it’s because there was a large party in front of you, and that’s why it’s taking so long” this would have checked out, except for the fact the party in front of us already had their food, and so did the table who had arrived AFTER us. No apology for the long wait either. She says she’ll check on our food in the kitchen. I sit back down and we wait another 30 minutes for our food to come. We’re not checked on again during that whole time. By the time our food finally comes, two tables had already been seated in front of us, and had their food. One had already left. We arrived at that 1:20 pm, and didn’t leave until 3:45. The restaurant wasn’t busy. Because of where we were seated, I could see what our server was up to- she spent almost the whole service on her phone. We ended missing the movie we were supposed to go see. It was fairly obvious that our server simply forgot to put in our order. Which is fine, but we never got an apology or anything. I understand that mistakes happen at work, but I would have liked at least an apology for how long it took. I would have complained then, but I didn’t want to waste any more time, or further disrupt our plans, as we were already running late enough. I visit toshiko fairly often, and we had a similar problem the last time we were here - around Christmas time, I took my mother in law here- and we had the same server. She answered a phone call WHILE taking our order. I do try to be an understanding person, and so I didn’t worry about it. I know stuff comes up sometimes. But to have it be a consistent problem 4 months later Is rather disappointing, especially when it disrupted an important meal. Overall some of the worst service I’ve received at any restaurant. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
The Food was not good. My roll kept falling apart and wasn’t even served straight. They just put them all in a pile. Took about 40 minutes to get our food. Way too long for a basic sushi roll. We came around 8:15pm. The server on the other hand was excellent and very attentive. We tipped him well but not because the food was good. We tipped him because his service was great!

Came to have dinner at this restaurant, and we got our ramen extremely cold. We asked to get it warmed but the waitress said they could not reheat the food. Waist of money at this place.
Do not order pick up or delivery and expect it to be done in a timely. They will lie and say its almost ready five more minutes. I just spent almost 40 mins waiting for an order of 3 items. With only 3 tables equaling less then 8 people in total in the actual restaurant. And they said this was busy for them. They do not prioritize To-Go orders at all. I watched people go in after I had been waiting 20 mins and get seated and order food and receive there food while I was still waiting. Why even except to go orders if you can't even keep up with only 3 tables?! Just do better!
I don't like writing a bad review but my husband & I went yesterday for a late lunch. My husband ordered a sushi dish and ordered a Black Angus Ribeye entre, medium rare and it took about 20 minutes for my husband's sushi and my entre arrived 15 minutes later with a well done ribeye. Jessica our waitress asked me if my steak was to my liking. I said no. Jessica asked if I wanted to send it back for my medium rare steak instead? Jessica said, I know it's expensive meal. I said yes, ......so I waited, etc. My husband finished his meal and waited for what seemed forever and we decided to cancel my steak and just pay for the sushi. I informed Jessica and we started walking to the entrance to pay. Jessica asked me to wait that she would talk to her Manager.......I few minutes later, Jessica came back stating the manager had packed my medium rare ribeye but he accidentally poured the teriyaki sauce over it instead of on the side? We we got home ..... I looked at my takeout container and there was nothing medium rare about my steak. I think I was served the steak I initially sent back without any vegetables on plain white rice drenched in teriyaki sauce 🥺😞🤬 We won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone!!😡😤
I called in a $70 takeout order tonight and headed to the restaurant knowing I would have to wait a bit, which was fine. I checked in with the hostess who went to the kitchen to check on my order. She reported back saying that it would be 15 minutes before my order was ready and that I would receive a text when it was. So I headed to the car to wait. 40 minutes pass and I headed in to check on my order again. Again, the hostess left to the kitchen to check on the order and I was told they are still working on it. It’s now been 1.5 hours since I called in the order and I am still here waiting. This is completely unacceptable and I will not be returning to this establishment.
