Yesterday, I was grabbing dinner at 130 E Central Texas Expy, Harker Heights as a walk-in order. Double Whataburger meals no cheese, Monterey melt meal, Prickley Pear Raspberry drinks. Whatacatch meal.
Always friendly service and good food. One of the few places that serve biscuits and gravy for breakfast.
The young lady working the front counter, Marley, was very friendly and provided excellent customer service and was very helpful when bringing out the order to the table, she provided extra condiments to go along with my meal. Very refreshing to see a young person that does her job and is actually genuinely happy to be at work and takes pride in doing a good job and provides a pleasant dining experience for all of her customers.
I don’t get the hype. I stopped by Whataburger expecting something special, and what I got was a long wait, bad service, and zero sense of urgency from the staff. The food was really bad and clearly not fresh—the burger was soggy, tasted old, and the fries seemed like they’d been sitting out way too long. My order was still wrong after repeating it twice. For the price and the reputation, this was seriously disappointing. If you’re craving fast food, there are plenty of places that do it quicker and better.

They'd get a five except they left the onions on my burger. 😵💫 I DO NOT like onions. Other than that everything was great. We did drive thru and they had a young man waiting by the speaker to take your order, he was sweet and very efficient with his little tablet. 😅🤗
We just went thru the drive thru. We had never been before. The cashier was able to recommend a delicious sweet and spicy burger. It was not spicy but did have raw chopped onions on top. It was so good.
This location provided a great experience. We placed a large family order, and Jordan handled it perfectly, showing incredible patience and such respectfulness throughout the ordering process, he made sure everything was correct. The positive experience continued when Kamara delivered our food with a wonderful energy, making sure all our drinks were correct also. On top of the fantastic service from both Jordan and Kamara, the food itself tasted great and was cooked great. Thank you!
I was truly impressed with the excellent customer service at this location. As a first-timer at Whataburger, the manager took the time to walk me through the menu, making the experience welcoming, the staff was very friendly, the place was clean, plus there’s ample parking available. Overall, I highly recommend giving this location a try.
I have yet to find a complaint about Whataburger. Even when busy, it flows quickly. Served hot and with a smile. Went back and decided to try curbside pickup. Only negative was that it took 7 minutes longer than the high end of their anticipated completion time. Food was still good but had to reheat it at the house. Update: Quicker service this time during curbside pickup. I question my reliability as a reviewer when Spicy Ketchup is involved. But, sincerely, left very happy.
We love this Whataburger. My daughter has several food allergies. We visit this location very often. The staff is VERY courteous and our order is always correct.

We stopped by to try the new Wings! We had the plain and the Sweet & Spicy! Was expecting bone in wings but they are boneless! I don’t care about their boneless chicken tenders, they have too much batter! I was impressed with the boneless wings however! Just the right amount of batter and a good chunk of chicken! The sauce was really good also. I will be trying the other flavors! Give them a try! They are good for boneless Wings. Sorry the photos not that great! But they were good for boneless wings!

The food tasted alright but the presentation is absolutely horrendous, it’s like they don’t even try when preparing these meals. I asked for no tomatoes on my chicken strip wrap and it was still on there. If something doesn’t change soon I will no longer be visiting this Whataburger.
System down - no problem. Tell us & let us know it’s gonna be 20 minutes before we get our food in a fast food restaurant drive thru. Give customers the option of waiting that long or going elsewhere. They told me I had an upgrade for the wait…I didn’t…& then they added things to my burger I didn’t like or ask for. But at this point, I’m starving. They didn’t even offer to correct it. I was already disappointed that whataburger got rid of lemon pies…they were always my fav - I didn’t ask for anything unreasonable or extra. I only wanted what I ordered & I couldn’t even get that. And then to be lied to about an upgrade - & stared at blankly with an “I’m sorry for the wait” but not for lying or getting my order wrong, & not even attempting to fix it. How’re you NOT going to fix my order, NOT give me what you said you did, and GIVE me something I didn’t even order?! Now I’m picking extra things off my burger that I didn’t ask for & eating smaller portions than what they were supposed to give me bc I was too hungry to argue with someone not interested in correcting the mistake. It’s sad bc I LUV whataburger! Idk what’s going on with them lately, but maybe it’s time to switch it up…
Service was great. Gentleman who helped me was very attentive and kind. On the other hand he had asked his manager a simple question for me as I didn’t realize they stopped serving breakfast at 11 and I walked in at 1103 and asked for a breakfast burger. His manager went off on him. the poor kid looked terrified. Managers like that can make for a horrible work environment but I watched this kid keep his smile and was friendly with every single customer that walked into the door. So I guess this poor rating is for the manager and not the business as a whole.

Morning crew sucks!!! 30 minutes for a sausage biscuit meal & tenders without any heads up it was going to be a long wait. Food wasn't even that hot! No apologies or anything from cashier Elizabeth on 2/16/26 @ 5 a.m.
Went here on 1/03/2026 @ 11:30pm they were out of everything gave us plain burgers when the only thing requested was no onions like they didn’t even give us condiments and then I asked for extra spicey ketchups and said specifically “at least 6” which might seem like a lot but not for 4 meals. Ontop of that the dude on the speaker kept talking crap when he thought he turned his mic off. This is outrageous.
Currently have been stuck in the drive-thru for 30 minutes. Would have left if I wasn’t blocked in. This is not fast food. This happened the last time I was here too and ended up with cold food. How did I wait this long if it wasn’t going to be fresh?
I spent almost $150 on a bundle of food last night…. They told us the fries were fresh, that there was spicy ketchup and everything was in the box and bags. We live directly across the street behind Walgreens which is extremely close and less than 3 minutes away from this location. We got home started passing out food to our children only to realize nothing was fresh and that we just wasted a good bit of money! Everything… and I mean everything was awful. The burgers were dry and had no cheese (which I paid extra for), the wings barely sauced, the fry’s and onion rings were the oldest thing in the bundle. What pushed me over the edge to write this review however is the fact that we deliberately said no regular ketchup only spicy the guy who gave us our food said that he only put spicy in the order. We get home dump it out and there are 2 spicy ketchups and about 12 regular. That being said we won’t be back! The food was horrible and a waste of money.
Horrible service today. The person working the front seemed uninterested in working and provided poor service. My food was awful—the burger, the drink, everything. I usually love this place, but today (around 3 PM on Saturday, September 6th) was a huge disappointment. The food was so bad I gave it to my dogs because I didn’t want to risk getting sick. Just a heads-up—I wouldn’t recommend going today.
Literally waited almost 50 minutes for an Iced tea. No actual meal or anything just a drink. Multiple people who arrived after I did got served full orders before I finally had to break down and ask the guy running orders where my drink was after almost an hour of waiting. To make it worse it was an online order (supposed to be ready before I even arrived) you would think that with it being a busy Saturday night, everyones getting back from the bar or club and going to the only place in town thats open, you would have better staffing to handle a rush, without orders such as mine falling through the cracks. Not to mention the ONE person having to run every order walked past me at least 10 times in the 50 minutes I was waiting and never ONCE asked if I had gotten my order. I dont know whether its poor staffing, lack of staffing, lack of proper management or a combination of the three but waiting almost an hour for one singular drink is wild.
Went last night forgot my cheese Patties were super dry and the way ubwanted the burgers where made wrong! Today I go to get replaced. I will be calling corporate and finding out who was working in the kitchen. You can see for yourself. But they will be sent to corporate. As well as the Brlyee who took my replacement order wrong again.
