The food is verygood here. If you are really looking for Mexican food and not Tex-Mex. Their cabrito is really authentic. They truly know the meaning of refried beans, definitely Mexican style in all its aspects. If you are more Tex-Mex, this is not your place. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they do take a while to bring your food. I would recommend more chefs. The servers are very friendly and attentive.

This place is clean, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is beyond friendly. Food though we had a parrillada thinking g it was gng to be grilled but it tasted more like if they boiled the meat which gave it a weired flavor. Beans needed more flavor as well. I will definitely give it a second try next time we are in the harlingen area.

5min to be attended. 5mins to get drinks. 25min to get complimentary chips and salsa. 25min to get food. Out waiter, Gustavo, didn't give such great service. Didn't greet us when we sat down. Never acknowledged us. When we were eating, never offered any refills. Although the food was great and plentiful, service severely lacked. This happens EVERYTIME we come here. Hope managment can make an effort to address that.

I prefer taco palenque than this restaurant I ordered a beef soup and Is a good flavor but is not beef And I finished and the waitress very nice girl She give me my check and I waiting for the cashier girl Like she don’t care take the time after 20 min take my money and if you have another options take and one guy to pick up the dishes make horrible sound with the plates probably don’t like the job Horrible

The beans were good, the machitos are cut up so you only get half (and over spiced) The cabrito plate was tasty but for the price of $43, was not worth it because it only came with beans, seriously? No guacamole, no chips?

Went in to eat breakfast and food was not very good. For the price it wasn't worth it. It was not busy and the service was slow. They were all hanging out by the kitchen area while we waited for someone to come take our order. I will probably not go back. I'll stick to eating at Casuelas. I was disappointed.

Do not go !!!! It sucks. Ordered a biscuit and gravy. Cook was juggling it and horeaplaing even asking the waiters for a nice to cut it in half. Arives very little gray and when I asked for more the wanted to charge more..... I took a pic. Then the bill comes and it's 11.oo this is outrages. Not going to recommend you all.

I love eating here, but today’s experience was disappointing. Our waiter had an attitude from the start. We hadn’t eaten all day, and since it was already 3:00, we ordered right away. When he told me they were out of the dish I wanted, he sighed loudly and seemed annoyed while waiting for me to pick something else. We waited 25 minutes just for refills and had to ask another waitress to get his attention. Meanwhile, four different families who sat after us were served before we were. After 50 minutes, I finally got up and spoke to the manager. She was polite and immediately went to check on our order, but by that point, we decided to leave. We went to Tejano Grill instead — sat down, and in less than 10 minutes, we had our food, which was amazing! Please do better, Los Norteños. I really enjoy your food, but the service today was unacceptable.

I'm not going to rate food in general. I will only rate the chicken fajita lunch plate which was dry and seems like it was cooked in salt water not much flavor of seasoning at all. Terrible.

So we were visiting family in the area and decided to stop at this restaurant. Upon walking in and sitting it took a while for us to get service. Are ordering the drinks the tea was the instant tea that is made from powder. The food came out and the BBQ plate was not a pleasant site. The chicken was old the ribs were like if they were reheated, and old. The brisket was full of fat. They never brought the bead for the plate. The Mexican plate was cold. The refried beans were so dry and old. The tortillas that should have come with the plates didn’t come with the orders. After about 40 minutes after receiving the food the waitress can to see if we were okay. Then she asks would you like the bread and tortillas. We were done as for we were not pleased with the food. The food stayed there. Then she just walks away. Never did she call a manager as for we weren’t not happy with the food. That is what should have been done for customer service. When going to the cashier we notified him of the service and the situation. What did he come and say we are taking off 10%. Really!!! Never again the service and management is horrible. Warning Warning don’t go there. I notified them that I was going to put in a review and here it is. Not happy.
