This is my go-to Mexican restaurant every time. Everything on the menu is good, from the free chips & salsa (both kinds), to the appetizers, entrees, desserts, & the margarita/drink menu. My family has been eating here for well over 10 years now & still do, like it’s a tradition. My usual go-to when they ask where I want to eat for my birthday too. Love the staff, fresh tortillas, & live music on certain days. One of my fave places for sure. If anyone asks for Mexican food for dinner, everyone knows I’d pick Celaya’s any day.

I have been to this place 3 times now, and I love it from service to food. I am surprised that it is not that full. I have been to it in lunch hour and dinner hour and same thing not packed like other restaurants. They do have complimentary salsa and chips to start, and a distinct thing they do is also give you nacho cheese for free to go with the chips. I really like the hand-made corn tortillas. Overall I will be coming back to this place and do recommend it.

riquisimo sunday breakfast buffet is amazing. love the set up the food the atmosphere the service the taste and the way they presented the buffet really amazing love the pozole the mini trompo tacos. are amazingly delicious 100%%% recommend this place prices are great too for the food they serve definitely great

overall, had a good dinner date with my kiddo. Reliable menu. Food would have been fine if had a little qc first. Games on a few tvs to glance at. The a la carte spinach enchilada and its sauce tho.... kinda blew my mind. I mean... wth even is that!!

Food was good I got quesadillas food was awesome presentation was perfect Quality of food fresh quality recipe actual meal meat was chewy it wasn't breaking down when you chew like it was boiled the heated up later but other than that it was good maybe another method of cooking I ask for more green sauce and pico sour cream 2.49 cents and 3.99 and 2.99 I asked is that for just 2 teaspoons she said yes I guess I'll be returning with my own or go to the food truck the give you how many you want that's 10$ to give me more sauce for the other 4 slices of the quesadilla 😭🤢

We went to the Celaya Restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday. We spent a very pleasant evening at a table for 10. The space is very spacious and the service is excellent. All the dishes looked delicious. I ordered the chicken in poblano mole, which exceeded my expectations.

I decided to try out Celaya's due to my cousin recommending them. I called my take out order in over the phone before arriving. Sandra was very polite and accurately took my order. I got my food when was hot and smelling mmhhmm good on the way home. Everything was perfect except then forgetting to put my tortillas in the bag. I don't want to drive back up there and have my food get cold so I just ate them without tortillas. I must say the beef fajita meet was quite tender and there was a nice portion size too. I'll just take away 1 star for forgetting my tortillas since all of the food was good and hot!! I'll visiting them again! Food prices were excellent too!!

It is a large Mexican restaurant. The decor is lively 😍. They have a decent menu, but it is a bit pricey. They did not offer chips, salsa or water while I waited for my to go order, and typically you are at least offered water at this places. It was clean and the staff member that took my order was friendly and very well mannered. It is not bad but I would not go back. I paid with tip $30 for only dinners, no drinks or anything else.

The breakfast buffet was great! It's fresh and authentic Mexican. They have fresh fruits, a variety of breakfast foods and freshly baked Pan Dulce. I would give them a 5 star if it wasn't for the supposedly fresh squeezed orange juice which is really fruit flavored water.

It’s a nice restaurant (ambiance wise) the staff were nice and the margaritas were delicious. But was so disappointed in the food I got the seafood enchiladas and the cheese in them I’m guessing made it taste so sour. My friend gets the birria tacos, she gets a huge plate with 3 small tacos and nothing else on it. Had lunch here so let's start with the good, the chips and salsa was so good I couldn't get enough of the green salsa. The atmosphere was nice they have a lot of indoor as well as outdoor seating. On to my food I ordered the steak, chicken, and shrimp fajitas my meat wasn't seasoned to me at all it was pretty bland. My rice and beans came out very cold. Shrimp did not taste fresh so needless to say I got full off my chips and salsa. This will be a one and done for me. But this is just my opinion!

The hostess tried to sit us at a dirty table first of all. Then our server was very attentive at first, but when another table was sat and a large group finally arrived her attention (for us) declined. Thankfully, the Manager was very helpful with our refills and bringing our tortillas. The margaritas were very strong which is a plus. I would still eat there again.

This so called mexican restaurant continues to hold the honor of Worst in Houston. I gave it a third chance tonight. Once again - DISGUSTING. Avoid it at all costs.

Food was subpar. Typical tex-mex food. I ordered a torta of fajita and it was 14.99 by itself. No sides. Crazy price for a torta that I can go around the corner and get from a food truck. I'm not stingy when it comes to food or restaurants but that's high. Service was not quick. Took the server a long time to get to us and take our drink order. We got tired of waiting and ordered our drinks with our food. In the end, we ate, chatted with family until it was time to pay. BTW they charge the customer a service charge which is what typically the restaurant gets charged to use a pos merchant system for example (visa, mastercard, american express, discover). Looks like they pass the fee to the consumer. But what if you wanted to pay cash? Well guess what, they even charge the service charge regardless. I dont' think its even legal to do so if your paying cash or using debit. If this restaurant does it legally, then its no problem, but they have to put cash option or credit card option on receipt.
