District 7 Memorial offers a great vibe and atmosphere, especially for brunch. Customers rave about the fresh shrimp pasta, oysters, and cocktails. Service can be inconsistent, but attentive staff like Jonathan and Jessica are frequently mentioned. Some find the paella too fishy.

My sister and I picked District 7 Memorial for our brunch date, and honestly, it was a whole vibe before we even sat down. The place has that trendy, effortlessly cool crowd that makes you feel like you should’ve worn sunglasses indoors just to fit in. I ordered the salmon sandwich, which looked beautiful, tasted good, but surprisingly had a sweet kick that left me a little confused — like, “Ma’am… why are you sweet?” Still enjoyable, just not what I expected. On the other hand, the oysters? Listen. The different flavors had me feeling alive, rejuvenated, and slightly dramatic. I may or may not have closed my eyes like I was in a food commercial. The outdoors area is stunning — airy, modern, and definitely Instagram-approved. Though finding the restaurant itself felt like a mini scavenger hunt because the flowers were doing the absolute most and basically swallowed the sign. Cute for photos, confusing for navigation. Staff was friendly and super helpful, which always makes the whole experience feel so much warmer. And honestly, the best part was just sitting with my sister, eating good food, and having the kind of conversation that makes the whole day better. Overall? Solid 8.5/10. Will definitely be visiting again — preferably with a GPS that knows how to look past the flowers.
Jonathan was a great waiter. He was pretty busy with the overall crowd but still had a great attitude and made sure we were taken care of. Food came out in a timely manner and was delicious across all 4 entrees. Manager, Nile, was also attentive and very polite, friendly when checking on us. Always one of my favorite places to visit that’s close to home but tonight it was near perfect!
I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! I’ve been coming here for about two years and the service is excellent every time. The manager John is spectacular! He treats us like his family and he is wonderful. The food at this restaurant is top tier! I always try something new each time to spice it up and it never disappoints. I HIGHLY recommend coming to this location for great food and customer service!
I’ve always been the person to check reviews and never leave one but I just had to after our experience tonight. I went here for dinner, the calamari was amazing, the pizza I ordered was good, and one of the best parts of our dinner was our Waitress Jessica. Jessica was attentive, fun, and made our first visit a memorable one. I can also always appreciate when a manager/owner who takes the time to go to every table and check on their patrons.
Seriously some of the best shrimp pasta I’ve ever had. The shrimp were super fresh and cooked just right, and the sauce was crazy good—creamy, garlicky, and full of flavor. Everything tasted homemade in the best way. Chill vibe, friendly staff, and solid portions too. Definitely coming back for that pasta!
Stopped in on Saturday morning during our bike ride along the great trails in this area. The staff were friendly and accommodating with our orders. Outdoor seating was a plus, but it is actually kind of hard to know this joint is even here, as there is no good way to identify it from the trail across the street. They have bike parking which is a plus. Really enjoyed the healthyish skillet frittata, so fluffy and light…and the made to order flat whites…
First off, happy new years 2024! Our new years tradition has always been oysters on the half shell and of course a little “hair of the dog” bloody Mary’s! And District 7 didn’t disappoint! Blood Mary’s were perfect (and I’m super picky), and oysters were on point! Only negative, I wish you guys would separate the meat from the foot after you shuck. We would have ordered more if this was the case. All in all I give the drinks a 10/10 and oysters an 8.5/10. Atmosphere is perfect as well! Our server Jesus was wonderful and attentive and always had a smile on his face!! Can’t wait to go back and try dinner!
Good was really good.. our server was amazing. (So sorry i didn't take his name)... you have a nice variety of options and prices.. we had the grilled oyters, the salmon, eggplant balls, also the cocktails were amazing. I would recommend it if you are in the area.. Very nice!!
This was our first time here and the ambiance is relaxing and business casual considering it's next to what looks like office buildings. We only went to try the oysters and we had the cooked ones and you can split the flavors of the dozen you get for the order. Both were delicious and I just remember one was a bacon jam one. The drinks for happy hour had a great taste and they were strong for just 1 drink which I loved. I'd recommend this place for a relaxing dinner. Sitting outside would be best in the cooler months but it was still nice in the evening on the summer day we went.
My husband and I visited the Memorial location for date night. This spot is quaint and has a nice vibe. The appetizer, entree, and dessert menu options were plentiful. I’m giving the service a 3, as our server was not that attentive and it took longer than usual for drink refills and the bill. I had a burger and fries and my husband had shrimp linguini. The manager came to our table at the end of our experience and thanked us for patronizing and welcomed us to return again. We will try their brunch menu next time. Parking is limited directly in front of the restaurant, but street parking is available.
4 star overall experience (although, I would’ve rated it was a 3.5 star experience if I could). The start of our visit started off with a piece of paper straw wrapper/trash in my partner’s water. The paper straw/trash in my partner’s water made us paranoid for what careless mistakes might happen with our food. However, we stuck it out and some of the food was very tasty. The “all meat omelette” was better than the “big breakfast” by far. Each plate was $16 which felt a bit overpriced for eggs and potatoes being the main part of each dish. My partner claimed the eggs from the “big breakfast” were pretty bland, and complained there wasn’t enough meat with his dish only coming with a small single sausage patty. In my opinion, the potatoes needed more salt or seasoning. However, there were no complaints from the “all meat omelette,” it was the star of this meal (and my partner wanted to steal more than the two bites I had already offered him lol). The pancakes were extra fluffy and the French toast was great! However, there was definitely too much butter on each of them. I suggest ordering the butter on the side so it’s not drowning before you even get to bite into it! Lastly, for this restaurant to be as expensive as it is, there weren’t any non-dairy milk alternatives. To be honest, the atmosphere is their selling point. There is lots of natural light in a beautiful, quiet location. The last note to mention were the restrooms provided (connected to the hotel) were not so great, with 5 out of 6 stalls being filthy for the women’s stalls.
Nice place to eat! We actually sat outside on the patio. The restaurant is on the first floor of an office building. We had the oyster for appetizers. They were HUGE! For the main course we had crab cake, chicken and waffles, spinach and kale dip, shrimp and grits, and ai had the breakfast burger. Shrimp and grits wasn't great. I would go back again. Wait staff was nice and attentive. Drink were good and did have a good amount of alcohol options.
We tried District 7 tonight for the first time. My husband got the Denver steak and I got the Pancetta Shrimp Carbonara. We were both disappointed. The flavor of my dish was good but it was lukewarm at best. The Denver steak was good but the vegetables were a little underdone and very bland. Atmosphere was good but I don't know that we'll try again just based on the food. Maybe! Hopefully it was just a bad night
Was excited to try the restaurant after reading reviews online. Sitting on the patio after a long day was refreshing and nice. Service was decent even with the afternoon rush they were having, and the waiter was knowledgeable of the dishes. The chicken wings were definitely some of the best and I highly recommend them, my daughter's steak was delicious and my burger was good. I DO NOT recommend the calamari as it was so overcooked we had to send it back which was a mistake. It was replaced with grilled squid and octopus that was borderline rancid. Neither dish had more than one bite off of it and I was surprised with both items still on our bill. I offered to pay for one of them since we did order it and was granted that. Over all the food was ok but not great (with exception of the wings that were great) and I am glad we did not try the Mahi or oysters. Stick with land based meat and you should be happy here.
My experience here was under par unfortunately. First off the server wasn’t very attentive, took awhile to get waited on initially and then was gone for like 10 minutes, finally another server came over and took our order. For the food, the only thing I’d recommend that I tried is the Eggplant Balls, prepared deliciously and perfectly paired with the pesto and marinara. The cauliflower was ok, I didn’t find the sauces that great , one was super spicy and the other very mild flavor. There was a discrepancy with my entree, I got the braised beef tacos, the menu listed it being served with onions, tomatoes, cilantro and garlic sauce, it was served with just onions and tomato, which without the other garnishes made the taco very dry, the meat itself was very tender and good just felt it was lacking in overall flavor. When we asked about it, the waiter said that the chef didn’t think the sauce would go with that dish, even tho it was listed on the menu as having it. So the restaurant will need to update the menu or start adding it to the taco. Anyway, Niall the manger went above and beyond to rectify the matter, even offering to remove the entree off our bill, we reneged and paid for it. He comped us with free dessert and coffee. The atmosphere is very chill/upbeat, beautifully decorated interior, would not recommend for very small children. There is outdoor dining and a few yard games. Probably would not voluntarily choose to come back here.
Our server was extremely nice but not attentive at all. He forgot to take our drink orders. Two out of three entrées were not prepared, so it took an extra 15-20 minutes. We ordered the Eggplant Balls, Ratatouille Pappardelle, Margherita Pizza, and Truffle Fries. The eggplant balls were delicious! The truffle fries were just ok. I've had better truffle fries at a bar! The Ratatouille Pappardelle was extremely bland and tasteless. The manager comped a dessert, which was good. However, the cookie was so HARD we had to cut it with a knife. 🤔😳 So to answer your question, would I recommend this restaurant? My answer is NO. It's disappointing because the restaurant is extremely nice.
