If you love good pizza with a side of quirk and a cool view, you owe Flakey's a visit. Sit down on your tailgate and eat it fresh right there. Hopefully it's a great weather night and when the train runs through its that much cooler. I've pedaled past this place on Thursday night rides and critical mass rides for years but never ate here. Finally tried it and it was as good as good as I always hoped it would be. Meat lovers is amazing with JUST enough crunch on the bottom of the crust to go with the molten layer of cheese. Nothing frilly or foo foo, just really great tasting hand tossed pizza and the right amount of late-night Houston vibe.

LOVE this place! What a hidden gem! So super thankful they stay open late and are astonishingly affordable! So many great options including vegan cheese and vegan chorizo. Everything was super fresh and tasty. Fast friendly service too! Will definitely be back!

Love this pizza truck located in 2nd Ward. The service is friendly and amazing. The pizza was worth the drive. This is definitely a go-to spot if you're in the area.

I work nights, so of course I'm always hunting for options that are local and open at weird hours. I saw this place the other day and looked it up. There are lots of options for pizza and the truck has several pizza ovens on board. This is a humble establishment affiliated with Super Happy Fun Land and has been in business for more than 10 years. I met Flakey and he made my pizza this morning. Ordering was easy and I ordered a meat lovers. The pizza dough was excellent and exceeded my expectations. The pizza was affordable and the toppings were generous. This is easily better than any of the chains for the price and the hours. So, why four stars? They don't really have seating or a store front, so pickup and delivery are necessary. I'd consider it a ghost kitchen. Also, if you order wings, they are not made on site, they appear to be frozen and cooked upon order. I'd stick with their pizza. I will be back. This is a good spot with real people making fairly priced food for the community. My kind of place.

I placed an order around 12:50am and received it within 30 minutes even though the reviews were sketchy on never recieving for hours at a time. Now the prices was not bad but the quality is , there is a weird after taste on the pizza . The bread sticks would’ve been good if it wasn’t piled with Italian seasoning on it , made them taste like straight Italian seasoning. The pizza was kind of under par as well. The pepperoni ratio excellent , there was no sauce , & the entire bottom of my pizza was black burnt from the over or grill they used is which probably is giving the horrible after taste tried to call for a refund guess they’re busy now sense they close at 3. Also please update pricing on the website because it shows 13.50 for pepperoni but when you call it’s $16 and no where on the website it shows $20 minimum for delivery but if you order through a third party app there is no minimum hopefully someone reads this and contact me back with a refund 😞🥺

Reviews don't lie. I should of read them before coming. I ordered large mushrooms and anchovies. The pizza 🍕 sauce was very good. The crust was too thin in the center and on the outside was thick. It was burnt on the outside. The oven is way too hot 🔥 The phone call was a bad experience, very slow overall like he was drunk and high. When I hit there, no gloves whatsoever and he was handling money and food at the same time. Too bad they don't have common sense. Good luck 👍

The soda was the wrong kind. The mozzarella sticks were cold and super soggy. And finally, the pizza: I ordered “without jalapeños”, but jalapeños were added (and they were embedded in the pizza so I couldn’t simply pick them off) and there was an inch-thick coal black ring around the entire pizza and the bottom was also black. So I got the wrong drink, soggy, cold mozzarella sticks, and a burnt pizza with a topping that didn’t want. I’ll think twice about ordering a third time.

The employees at work didn't mind but paying 65.00 for pizza with extra toppings and not receiving it, is disappointing. I wouldnt recommend anyone to try this place unless you want this for convenience, because it stays open late.

We ordered pizzas for our employees for work extra toppings for all 3 pizzas. What we received was flavorless, cold, under cooked pizza. The employees at work didn't mind but paying 65.00 for pizza with extra toppings and not receiving it, is disappointing. Ordered the pizza at 9:45 PM. Flakey’s was not busy at all and the pizza was supposed to be delivered at 10:38. When we looked to check on the order it had changed and said that it was expected to be delivered the next day. So, we called the store and they said that something had happened with our order and asked if we still wanted it. All of our group had been up for hours since we had all traveled from different states and this is our first time in Houston. After the 20 minutes passed that they told us to wait, we called again. I was explaining the situation to the lady on the phone and she rudely cut me off and said that the delivery driver would be arriving shortly and then hung up. For this to be our first time ordering I find this extremely unprofessional. The food came dry, distasteful, burnt, and some pieces even had holes. We couldn’t finish the disaster of food that Flakey’s provided us with and would like some sort of compensation for this event. We’re asking for our money back since we genuinely could not even attempt to eat the food.

The pizza was also burned to heck, pretty hard to eat. And the mozz sticks were sans-mozz (it all ended up on the foil) & a soggy mush.

We didn’t eat our pizza either it was cold and the dough tasted as if it should’ve been cooked longer!

Keeping it 100 don't come close to here their pizzas taste off I got 2 and both had that FRIDGE TASTE NOT EDIBLE FOOD STILL BEING SOLD UNFORTUNATELY IF I WAS GONNA TRY SOMETHING THIS IS NOT THE PLACE

The pizza crust was completely charred on the outside and was raw on the inside. The pizza box was covered in ash on the outside , and there was ashes inside as well on the pizza. It's completely over priced as well. If you value your health and don't want salmonella, do not eat here.

Ordered a large supreme and medium pep pizza and wings, found few hairs on both of the pizzas. I asked for no ground beef and it will still on there and also the pizza were burnt. The large pizza was soggy in the middle, So $60 for burnt soggy pizza, wings and hairs. Smh never coming again

Please don't eat from this truck I'm not hating but if you notice no hair nets him are her doesnt wear and no gloves when handling the pizza I mean the man hair and facial hair be all on his clothes no bread nets either just make you more skeptical when eating out
