I came to Oishii early this year with friends after a group activity. I couldn't believe how delicious the food was. The service was good and they let us to stay pass the closing time. I was glad they didn't rush us out. This place is group for parties.

I’ve been coming to Oishii for years and honestly, I don’t get how anyone could ever leave a bad review. The food has always been fresh, consistent, and just flat-out amazing every time. You can tell they actually care about what they serve. Their Chirashi Deluxe is easily the best value I’ve ever seen anywhere — loaded with super fresh fish, generous portions, and always perfect. It’s my go-to order when I want something that actually feels worth what I’m paying for (and then some). The staff is always cool, even when it’s packed — which it usually is, because everyone knows how good this place is. Prices are solid, quality is unbeatable, and the vibe is just right. I’ve tried plenty of sushi spots around Houston and nothing compares. Oishii has been that spot for me for years and still is.

I have been to Oishii restaurant many times in the past with my friend for lunch. This time, I was introducing my other friend to this restaurant. We went there for lunch. Their sushi and sashimi are so delicious. This restaurant has very good sushi and sashimi quality. Their sashimi prices are very cheap compared to other sushi restaurants. It is a small restaurant, but they are always busy during lunchtime. The staff is so nice and provides great service. This is my favorite sushi restaurant in the Houston, TX area.

Happy Hour's BACK !! Even the Saki was on the HHr menu . There is a minimum to get the buy 1 get 1 , but we over ordered so it didn't matter to us. ( look them up to get the full scoop ) You can't go wrong with the HHr menu but I must admit that the Veggie tempura sauce was bland ( which has nothing to do with the great veggies .. but it bugged me. It looked inviting and everytime i dipped i was reminded , so i used the pork roll sauce 😄 ) . Allll the others sauces that came with the dishes added to it. We loved the pork rolls so much we had to order a second helping We did venture over to the reg menu and tried the R.M Roll shrimp , scallops, salmon , avocado with habenero mesago ( I did enjoy but maybe because of the western in me i needed the wasabi and ginger the avocado was a bit overwhelming ) The service was spot on , I think I had 3 servers because everyone kept checking on us i mean eeeeeveryone ( that's a great thing ) No room for dessert , we'll have to plan for it next time 😋

Very good food and service. Lunch bento box with salmon for $12.95, and you can then add a California roll for $2.00. That’s a very good deal. Happy hour menu seems great too.

We tried the Kano Salad, Spicy Salmon, and the Vegetable Tempura (especially the zucchini). everything was absolutely delicious! Fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The staff here are so nice, respectful, and always smiling, which makes the experience even better.

Oshii is like a hidden gem. The food is good and prices are even better. The staff is very friendly. It's small and sometimes there can be a wait time but it's never for long and it's well worth the wait

High quality and fresh items all around here. Bustling atmosphere and a really nice vibe inside. The king salmon sashimi has this mind-blowing melt-in-your-mouth texture and the fried squid is delicious. Great variety and so many items to choose from! Definitely recommend Oishii for a sushi night

The restaurant NEVER DISAPPOINTS!!! I have been going there for many years and the sushi is Always fresh and melts in your mouth. I drive far to eat there and will not even eat anything in the area I live off near Hwy 290. The Prices are also Great especially Happy Hour!!! THANKS TO THE OWNERS ^ STAFF!!!

Great food and even better prices. Just 10 minutes west of midtown. Their HH is impressive with BOGO apps and 3.25 beers. It is very small and loud inside when it's busy. No mixed drinks only beers. Service was great while they were full and had a waiting list with a wait time of 45 minutes. If service is great when the place is full you have to give them some real props. As long as I continue to have great experiences at this location I will be back at least once a month. Trying to talk my financial advisor into once a week.

This is a Houston staple! Unpretentious and the sushi is consistently good. Be prepared to wait at least 45 minutes in peak hours. My go-to order is Special A and I also love the Bomb roll. The staff are Houston icons as well. Some of them have been there for over a decade! Truly recommend!!

Great sushi at an unbelievable price. The lunch specials are such a good deal! It’s exciting sitting at the bar watching the sushi chefs. Oishii is perfect if you have limited time to eat. The wait staff are always friendly and will explain the details of a dish without a hint of annoyance.

Absolutely delicious Japanese restaurant very well developed pure Japanese flavors starting with the miso soup, dumplings, and sashimi. The rolls were freshly made. Rice was a great texture. The service is friendly, helpful, and attentive The parking lot is definitely timely. The inside of this location is is very small narrow. That’s only four stars for overall atmosphere very clean interior. I had to park at the Costco parking lot in order to park my large vehicle but well worth the walk definitely one of the top sushi restaurants in the area from a cost point it’s on point for the higher quality of fish that I was able to get here. Note my rating system: 1 Star: I wouldn't recommend 2 Stars: Didn't hit my standards 3 Stars: Average (nothing special) 4 Stars: Above Average. Would recommend. Still looking for the 5 Star. 5 Stars: Top of their game. Great food. Great service. Would recommend and plan on returning.

Oishii isn't just a simple restaurant for me; Oishii is my second home, and the staff are like my second family. I've felt like part of their family for years. There I find happiness and kindness, good service and quality. It saddens me when I return, as I often do, and don't find my favorite staff members. Rocío is my favorite waitress; she has a charismatic and friendly personality. I see that the bar staff is new, and I don't like that, knowing that the people I consider my family are no longer there. I hope to see my Oishii family again soon.

I think this place is a bit overrated. The sushi was not really fresh. The service was normal, not even meet the standard. Somehow I feel like she was rude to me. Overall, it’s a good choice for affordable sushi. But there are many better choices with the same price range.

I don't usually do this because it's my favorite sushi and roll restaurant. I like to order online two or three times a week after work, but this week I had to cancel my order twice due to poor service. Online orders usually take between 20 and 30 minutes. This time I went to pick up my order after 25 minutes, but it still wasn't ready. They told me to wait a little longer, but I was there for over 50 minutes and my order still wasn't ready, so I canceled it both times. I love this restaurant for its friendliness and service, but I think they've changed the staff. It's a restaurant that has been excellent for years, but this time I think it's just not the same anymore.

This is the first time this has happened to me at my favorite sushi restaurant in over 7 years. Today my food took more than an hour and 30 minutes to arrive. My waiter wasn't very friendly, and the quality of the hamachi wasn't very good. I noticed that the bar staff is new, and I feel that this is what leads a restaurant to failure when the staff is new, especially the majority of them. I would like to go back and see the sushi chefs who are my friends.
