They don't care for customer service. They dont care about atmosphere. The seating is awkward in a way that makes you feel like youre in the wrong place. We almost left the building. The food was an unforgettable 10/10 experience to the point where I can forget all the aforementioned faults. As someone who has tried a lot of Thai places in Houston, none compare to the flavors that this place offers. The first few bites of their "all time favorites" were stunning, leaving us speechless. Authenticity is unmatched. Large portions, reasonable prices. Will be back
I just ordered on Uber Eats! I usually get the veggie curry, but this time I went with the wings which they made extra crispy for me and was delivered crispy O M G! So much flavor! The Thai rice was impeccable! The best I have ever had! I’m not just saying that just to say! I am impressed! I will be ordering again! Thank you Thai Street Food Market! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks to a friend who decided to invite me for lunch today after Sunday church I was introduced to some very delicious THAI grub! Im all about authentic fresh food and definitely will have to return to try all the other dishes! Best part is that the portions was huge and needed to take leftovers home which will savor and enjoy again. My friend ordered for both of us and had me try out the Street Spicy Wings, Pad Thai with beef, Pad Kee Mao with Shrimp. This friend earn some extra points today and will give her a personal shoutout too on this review!
Just tried this local Thai spot for the first time and it was incredible! Everything we ordered was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The yellow curry was my favorite dish, followed by the pad mama. We ended the meal with mango sticky rice and it was the best one I’ve ever had. 5/5!
Favorite Thai in Houston. We have come more than 10 times. Our favorites are: - Appetizers: rotti with curry, lemongrass chicken and chicken wings - Entrees: Beef pad see ew, beef pad mama, masaman curry. Big servings and really cheap. It gets really crowded around 7pm on Fridays, they have a paper waitlist that you can write your name on. They have a small shop with Thai food and they also have to go service.
The best authentic Thai food! I ordered the Som Tum Thai Style (papaya salad), and it was delicious—super flavorful and refreshing. I also tried the Tom Yum Noodle. I was initially worried it might be too spicy, as I don't handle spice very well, but they were very accommodating with my spice preference, and it turned out to be very tasty! The staff were kind and attentive. There's also a small market attached to the restaurant where you can purchase items. I can't wait to try more dishes in the future!
Had an amazing experience here. Took my family in around dinner time and were seated very quickly. It's a cute, intimate restaurant with a good amount of seating. It also has a small store connected with a bunch of neat snacks. Portions for each dish are HUGE. It was enough to feed my family of 6 and have leftovers to pack and take home. We ordered a few dishes, which we all shared, including Pad See Ew Beef (Level 1 spice) Pad See Ew Pork (Level 3 spice) Fried Rice Chicken The servers were kind and attentive. Will definitely be back.
This is my favorite local restaurant. You know a place is good when it is almost always full. They have an extensive menu, and I have yet to try something I did not like. Service is good, and they also have a small grocery store with some Thai staples. Check this place out if you want good and authentic Thai food. Large portions too. Never left this place feeling hungry.
Street Food Thai Market is our top Thai spot in the city. You know it’s good when Thai & Laotian families dine in too! We are Thai & Laotian and this restaurant has a lot of local traditional flavors on their menu . We recommend this place to anyone who asks about a good Thai spot especially in North Houston / Heights. They have the popular curry and Pad dishes. As well as more traditional dishes both Laotian and Thai.
The reviews for this place did not disappoint! It's an unassuming little spot with an extensive menu. The prices are very reasonable, the portion sizes are excellent, and the flavor was incredible! It was truly reminiscent of the street food that I had in Koh Samui! So very good! The staff was attentive and polite and there was plenty of seating for a lunch crowd. I will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu!
Sunday 4/6/25: This mini mart and restaurant proved itself a delightful hidden gem! Earlier today, I called to inquire about BYOB - pro tip: if there’s no alcohol listed on the menu, it's possible they allow it. BYOB was permitted, so our group of seven arrived for dinner fully equipped with beers and Kirkland margaritas - a fantastic addition to our evening. Arriving early at 4:30pm, six of us snagged both limited parking spots and a large table without waiting - though the place was starting to fill up. I decided on the Khao Soi Kai, ordering it "mild." While the spice leaned more towards medium, it was perfect for my palate - an explosion of rich, vibrant, creamy flavors! My husband went for the "mild" Massaman curry with chicken, which was less spicy yet delectable. The only hiccups to an otherwise superb food experience was the service. The side rice for two of the curries was forgotten entirely, and one person’s fried rice dish never arrived until we reminded the staff. If you’re searching for an unassuming, BYOB-friendly gem packed with culinary treasures, it’s well worth exploring! 🤤🌟

This place is a hidden gem! Its food is very genuine, and tasty (almost Thailand street level). It’s actually one of my favorite Thai place in the US. They have all the classics, and they are very well portioned. Shareable for sure. The place is on the small size, so if you have a party bigger than 4 you may need to wait, they have only about 10 tables, and it gets super busy in peak hours. The service was very prompt and attentive. They have a small store right by the seating area, and you can get specialties from Thailand. Parking is limited about 10 cars or so at the time.
I had Chicken Pad Thai, Thai Ice Tea, Vegetables Spring Rolls (crispy) and Mango Sticky Rice. Chicken Pad Thai was not dry, a lot a flavor. Good balance of sweet and savory, but missing the sour element. Good meat to noodle ratio. Love that the peanuts are served on the side. Thai Ice Tea was refreshing, robust, and not too sweet. Good as a meal companion, but not as a sweet treat. Springs rolls were my favorite!!! Very crispy wrapper and fresh and crispy Vegetables. Very clean and tasty. I would not order the Mango Sticky Rice. This was the first time I have never finished a Mango Sticky Rice order. I'm not sure why, but I did not not like the rice. I may be wrong, but I think long grain rice was used instead of short. It did not taste bad, but it odd. Parking is not great. Service was fast and friendly. Very clean establishment
Stopped in for dinner, this place reminds me of Asian Market Thai Lao down the street, in my opinion this edges out Thai Lao, service is better and the food was on point. They serve all their food on banana leaves and it's a cool touch. They do not mess around with their spice levels be warned a 3 is pretty hot. Much like aforementioned Thai Lao you pay at counter, they also have a wait-list to find seating. Be prepared to wait a little, oh and parking is pretty limited.
This is probably my favorite (and most authentic) Thai restaurant in the Houston area. Been looking for Khao Man Gai (Thai Hainanese Chicken over Rice) in Houston after trying it in other cities and finally found it here, and happy to say I really enjoyed it! Both the chicken and rice had good flavor, and the Thai spicy chili sauce complemented the dish well. Other things we tried that I enjoyed: Thai spicy wings and Pad Kaprow Moo Krob (pork belly). They have an extensive menu of Thai rice dishes and street food, many of them not commonly found in standard Thai restaurants so I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu. The service was quick and friendly, and they also have a small Southeast Asian grocery mart within the restaurant you can shop at before/after dining.
This is a restaurant / store hybrid if you will. A small and unassuming place where one half is a sit down dine in (which is almost always full) and the other a Thai store where you can get staples. Neither detracts from serving incredibly tasty Thai food! I went in with a few friends and for appetizers got the Roti with curry sauce, Street spicy chicken wings and chive cakes. Our entrees were Chicken massaman curry, Beef larb, Pad krapow moo krob and Chicken pad khee mao. We shared a Mango sticky rice for dessert and it was hands down one of the BEST mango sticky rices I’ve had! Their Thai tea was incredibly tasty as well! Nice service, a bit of a wait time, but worth it for the food and portions!
This is a store and restaurant hybrid, gave a very nice street food vibe. Food took a while to come out but it was worth the wait! It was father's day, so ig the wait was expected Good variety on the menu and everything was seasoned well! Only complaint we had was the staff chased us out to ask us to pay for the tab even though we settled it earlier but it was just a minor miscommunication :) Reasonable prices for the portions, humble little spot that serves good food
I read the article that recently came out talking about this place being a hidden gem. We love Thai food and couldn’t wait to try it. When we arrived all the tables were taken and we had a short wait. It got very packed with a ton of people waiting white we were seated. We tried 4 different dishes and half of the party enjoyed their food. I got the mussaman chicken and it was just okay. This used to be my favorite dish at Thai Gourmet and I was hoping this one would be just as good but sadly it wasn’t. It wasn’t bad, it was just wasn’t anything special. The servers are busy and they probably need more help because we didn’t get a water refill until we were done dining. The food is a little spicy and water would be appreciated. I’m glad we tried it but it’s not a place I’d come back as there are other places we enjoy more closer to us.
Not sure if they switched owners or have a different chef. Very different from 7 years ago. I come here for the papaya salad at least twice a month. The portion have been extremely small, the papaya thread from the shaving have been different too. I never want to post anything negative because it affects their business but damn…can you make it a regular portion? I used to ask for extra papaya but you’re better off taking your chances because the portion will still be the same but they will charge you extra and your $17 papaya salad will look like the picture below. I understand the price went up, that’s cool; but the quality is so bad now. Very disappointed in the last 5 orders. Tiny portion enough for a small child or ants.
